Just Bought Clip Studio Pro, Im Going To Be Switching Over From Using Ibis Paint And Photoshop To This

Just bought Clip Studio Pro, I’m going to be switching over from using ibis paint and photoshop to this because I prefer the layout more (and my Adobe license is through the school so who know when it’ll expire.)

This is a sketch I’m working on to get a feel of the program. I plan on finishing this art piece soon, and I will also post that to this blog!

This is just so much more efficient for me in the long term, because in my opinion ibis paint is not as professional of a drawing program, and photoshop is too expensive for me to use it only part time.

Just got a new gouache set!

This is my first piece I’ve made using gouache and I loveeeeee it. I don’t really enjoy using watercolours because they’re so… watery. And I can’t stand the bleeding. And although acrylics are a step above that for me, I really hate the way it layers on pretty thick yet dries really fast so I always end up getting a really weird texture on the canvas.

But gouache…. It’s like the good qualities of both combined. It layers on flat like watercolor, but it doesn’t take like 10 minutes to dry. It has the controllability of acrylic paint while not getting the weird texture. I CAN LAYER ON TOP OF PAINT BUT STILL BE ABLE TO RE ACTIVATE IT SEPARATELY. I love it so much

I’m including this on my art blog bcs I hand made the cosplay and I feel like that counts In the “arts and crafts” category? Jokes aside I was working on it for two weeks straight because I could not bring myself to wear my… interesting Azula costume from seventh grade (which doesn’t even fit me anymore.)

So that was how I spent the first part of my summer I guess!

Oh and I made Rauru’s arm. It did have nails but it turns out how glue wasn’t as effective as I thought it would be…
