it’s so sad. i’ve pretend to expect cancellation(to brace the damage that will bring) but still. the number seemed not enough, i knew.

saddest thing about cancellation is that we never see how niko get back to her friends. like she’s stack unknown dimension forever. i hope at least showrunners will tell us what was planned.

Quick note on Charles's speech for fic writers or anyone interested, really.

Charles uses tag questions, where he ends a sentence with a question, doesn't he? I see a lot of "innit" thrown at the end of sentences, which is right, sometimes.

There is unfortunately grammar. First off, if the main verb is negative, the tag will be positive, and vice versa.

When the main verbs in the sentence is a form of "be" or a modal verb (must, could, would, have, will, can, do etc), he's going to repeat that same form at the end of the sentence. An exception to this is a positive main verb of "I am" in which case the tag will be "aren't I?"

"[You're] Not going back to hell, are you?"

"I wouldn't wanna be dead with anyone else, would I?"

"No, we're not going anywhere, are we?"

"Well, I can't see where you're pointing to, can I?"

"We don't want a repeat of the infamous puppy debacle of '94, do we?"

He uses "innit" a lot less than people think, I think. It took me a while to find examples of him saying this, I ended up having to search a transcript. It follows the same rules as above, except the subject is always a thing, or the pronoun "it," and the main sentence is positive, so that the tag can be the negative "innit" (isn't it).

"Boxing's a gentleman's sport, innit?"

"Magical void, innit?"

"That's the injustice we fight, innit?"

When the verb is not one of those above" he uses a form of "do."

"Well, that sounds a lot like you, doesn't it?"

"Wanna keep things professional, don't I?"

Charles also ends a lot of sentences with just the word "yeah."

"Psychic thing makes case work go a lot faster, yeah?"

I am usamerican, but I have a masters in Linguistics. People who actually use tag questions, though, please add on or correct me!

I had been thinking Niko was just in another astral realm as a ghost, and sprites somehow become the same size as humans. But if… Niko become a sprite after her death? The same size as sprites? Found her way back to her friends but ended up in the glass jar, trying to get everyone's attention, waving her hands like "HEEEEEYYYY I'm here I'm here oh why you guys so big???" in a high-pitched voice?

Edwin, dating the Cat King : Being in a relationship with a cat is difficult. He is sitting on my books when we have a fight :/

I really think if Monty got back to being a human again he should team up with Mick. Mick can teach him how to live as a human and make money, or rent him a room to sleep in for a while. In return, Monty could work at Mick's shop, or give him a red sea glass only a crow's curious eye could find. Imagine Monty working at Magic shop? When the detectives come by to get some help for a case, Monty offers them some random tool and "Look at this! Whee" with his cute, nervous smile? And Mick finally gets advice from the Washer Woman but that was just another riddle and grumbling about it?

I tried writing Catwin fanfic in English again! and it featured the Cat King in Edwardian(I chanced it as Victorian) attire from my previous post.

Honestly, the Cat King's shapeshifting skill has so much potential in story so I put it there.

I don't know if someone already mentioned this, "She didn't turn you into a boy?" described "a boy" as "a beautiful boy (美少年)" in Japanese sub in EP6. Subtitles are often inaccurate because of its limit number and language difference, but sometimes have good quality.

In my ongoing fanfic, I wrote the Cat King's original cat form as lean, cream colored cat. What do you think his original color was? I actually think black or tuxedo suits him most(in next chapter of my fic, he is tuxedo in his second life), but he is black in his fourth life in canon, so not likely?

When catwin is dating, a client came to DBD office and noticed there are a cat sleeping peacefully on couch and mentioned it, Edwin brushed off casually "Oh don't mind about my boyfriend"

The Cat King made Edwin trapped in the town, but the Cat King himself could ever leave from his kingdom? In fanfiction yes he do, but in canon... what if he is trapped too?😿

Since both Edwin and the Cat King being Diva, I wanna watch the scene where Crystal stopped their argument like "Okey drama queens that's enough". Renew Dead Boy Detectives season 2

I like the difference between Edwin/Monty/The Cat King about knowledge

Edwin: Knows many things and still eager to learn except modern technology Monty: Barely knows things but eager to teach The Cat King: Knows so many things but not eager to teach (Crystal had to convince him to teach about Esther)

I wanna watch them team up together for some case. It'll be chaotic trio, while boys are trying to solve the case but the Cat King choose not to be helpful and just watching them lazily, yawning, occasionally trying to flirt with Edwin.
