Reading Orv While Having Some Understanding Of Mythology And Being Hindu Was Wild.

Reading orv while having some understanding of mythology and being Hindu was wild.

It didn't help that i read it the month of my sister's wedding so when chapter 260s rolled around i was wondering on whether it would be considered blasphemy for me to start cursing out Surya while simultaneously participating in rituals.0

Like yes fuck off annoying train guy but also i respect you and worship you not of my own volition

Great! I just wanna start of by saying the person's comment is very disturbing and something I'm sure no one in the fandom and myself condone it's very sickening to see it and I apologize that you had to read it.

Now- we later learn kael's actions were not only done for diana's and helios but for the kingdom since the orcus' were again the villains who commited crimes left and right and were planning a rebellion were it not for kael. Helios knew of this and knew why kael was doing what he was doing but never bothered to explain to diana or defend kael for her telling him he is a monster.

What he did was wrong but in the end it was the lesser of two evils.

They both left him even helios despite him doing what is essentially for the sake of the kingdom. And after they got married none of them bothered to check up on him. As you mentioned- we and by extension hestia have no idea why but I think it's safe to say that it caused kael to spiral even more.

For hestia the best way to say is that she is also in a similar yet opposite situation to kael. She knows that he is suffereing and can do nothing to help him and when she tries to it backfires horribly. She is alone in this new environment with no family or friends and the only thing close to an anchor for her is suffering because of two people whoewere suppose to stay by him. Of course it hurts her since he is such a big part of this new life of hers.

And now for her this isnt a novel no matter how hard she tries to pass of the people as characters- these for her are real people who hurt another person she loves. Of course she will try to do anything in her power to try to make him feel better.

Her straight up hostile nature of diana is because of a simple thing. Diana is a hypocrite. Diana says she is all in for the common people yet after getting married her powers are only used for the royal family and she never helps the common people in the temple like she used to (which we see when in her second life when hestia tried to seek an audience with diana but got kicked out with curses) moreover this is a big plot line since that is how diana loses her powers by chosing a life of elite and abandoning the common people.

It can be argued that she was just busy but to the extent that even the in-novel god thinks she doesnt deserve them? She tries to side with the nobels in an attempt to be allies but then puts them down for basking in luxury when the common people are suffering while she is wearing a dress made of the most expensive fabrics and materials while she lectures them.

Back to hestia, in the starting she didnt have any clear goals or aspirations since her whole thing was to see the novel play out and go back home. This was a really bad environment and its no wonder she stuck to kael even moreso since he was both her favorite and the only person she knew fully of (besides the main cast).

I have to agree on the rejection part tho. It did strike me as very odd that hestia was mad at diana for rejecting kael. It would be fine if she was a character but now that she is a person it is basic decency. The only other reason i could say is that diana rejected him on the sole basis of him performing his duities (killing the orcus family) or by that one panel we see between them where she says and i quote "-afterall who can reject him?" (Talking about helios) so if she is with him for the sole purpose of his status then obviously its a red flag

Dianas status as a saintess immediately makes her think of herself as superior to others and always in the right. After becoming crown princess and marrying she demands helios to always be on her side no matter what and when he tries to find the truth about dianas converstion with hestia about her powers, she lashes out at him for not trusting her. And then coming to the conclusion she needs to "take" kale back form hestia after he is doing so much better since helios isnt working for her and it pains me to see that he was just an afterthought for her.

All in all the story is very flawed but blaming any character is not right. No matter what i said all the characters are suplosed to be morrally grey (kael killing a family to protect the kingdom, helios allowing him but not defending him, diana being a saintess but a hypocrite, hestia willing to blackmail and thretan)

Is it not right that we praise hestia for her actions while we throw diana? Yes and i think it his mixes well with the themes of the story on how a pov matters so much. If diana was again the mc we would hate hestia but she isnt and so on.

for my abandoned love is...kinda bad, imo. or aka for my derelict favorite. I'm talking about the comic only, as I haven't the time nor interest to read the novel. TW: suicide mention, SA mention, Grape

Hestia is kind of a huge hypocrite, which is funny considering she accused Diana of being as such. Maybe it's the terrible(off-kilter, 'cause it's not that bad) translation but I don't get Hestia's deal. Kael was "abandoned", sure but he literally killed an entire family* so can you really blame Diana and the Crown Prince for not wanting to associate with him?** This seems like a problem they could just speak to each other about instead jumping to the nuclear option immediately and declaring these two people are your mortal enemies.

*Who from my understanding, just bullied Diana a little. Not really something you kill someone, less so their entire family, over. It makes you come off as psychopath.

**Also, the whole Diana and the Crown Prince leaving him thing. They are characters in a fucking novel, so honestly, how much control are they in their actions? All of their actions during the entire run of the novel are predetermined. Shouldn't this be a topic of much discussion in Hestia's mind? It be a much different story if she time traveled back to the beginning of the novel but alas, she didn't. Oh well. I guess you couldn't villianize Diana*** if that was the case though.

***Holy shit, does this comic tries its damnest to make me hate Diana but I'm just more confused than anything. Like, honestly. What's the worst thing Diana even do? Reject a boy? He's not owed her affection, especially since he fucking committed murder of all things. (also, remember their actions were predetermined. Diana LITERALLY had no choice in rejecting Kael.) Like, what do you want her to do? She's a saintess, too. Obviously, murder is probably against one of her core beliefs. The worst thing I can think she did is not check up on Kael after his suicide attempt but tbh, we as the audience don't FUCKING know if she did or not. I should bring this important plot point up now, but Hestia travels back in time in order to prevent Kael's suicide. Anyway, she travels back in time right? Also, keep in mind that Hestia is NOT close to any of these people prior to the time travel. Guess what she's getting all of her information from? The fucking newspaper. As if the newspaper is going to report the inner workings of their lives, you fucking asshole(Hestia). Also, also, The crown prince, whose goes by Helios, whose also goes by Hyperion when he's traveling in secret.

What I am trying to say is, Helios, aka Hyperion could've visited Kael in secret to check in on him for all we know, but Kael and him could've had a fight and split off. I'm just supposed to take Hestia word for it that these two people are assholes and hypocrites after the time travel.

Hestia as a whole is just a really unlikable person. I don't like her. She's manipulative, hypocrite who fangirls over her bias(understandable but I find it annoying and weird in this character) . Yet I'm supposed to find her charming instead of completely fucking deranged. Hestia, the one who isekai'd in this story, was the ONLY one who had the free will to make her own choices during the entire duration of the novel and after. Hey, guess what, dipshit? Why didn't YOU try to date Kael during the novel's run if you knew he was going to be rejected? Before anyone gets on me for this point, I know she was satisfied just watching the three but I think these types of stories are better when they intervene during the novel's plot, not afterwards. I mean, look how much this story fucks it up.

For My Abandoned Love Is...kinda Bad, Imo. Or Aka For My Derelict Favorite. I'm Talking About The Comic

Take this as you will. I'm, for one, am a Diana defender. So, it's really upsetting(also extremely off-putting(who the fuck says this about anything, really!?)), comment for me.

Apologies to end this on a sour note but I screen-capped it for a reason. The hate for such a milquetoast character is so fucking odd in my opinion. Most of the comments towards Diana are like this for some reason.

Anyway, those are my very bland but tasty thoughts on my abandoned love!❤️

Till next time, see ya!

UPDATE: I tried rereading to see if I change my mind, but nope! In fact, I fucking HATE Hestia. Hayan was bearable but Hestia is loathsome.

EVERYONE LISTEN UP!

There's this really amazing webtoon that you are missing out on called "The Death and Him" by Goingnwod, its a BL romance with fantasy, incredible world building and epic speeches.

The premise of it is as follows 'The lonely God of Death decided to get himself a wife. But due to a translation error between Gods and Mortals, instead of the most beautiful womanin the world, he was given a young man instead...'

I really like the depth of these chatacters and the f e e l s they give you. You see where they are coming from and understand their actions, even if they were wrong.

Bonus points if you like sassy quick witted Main Characters in Bl who stand up for themselves and meet the love interest on equal footing.

But the one thing that really drew me in is the (pun unintended) Goddamn Art

EVERYONE LISTEN UP!

Each panel looks like it took years to draw and every dialogue, quip and speech feels so natural.

The romance is a slow burn with the Main Character (in the blue) having a messy past. Death is a bit of a dick but he is willing to be learn to be better.

Its a story about two people who are just trying to make their lives a little better and maybe with eachother in it. Without their past or any supernatural event interfering.
