When our small town in the big city kinda shows off a wee bit, a parade comes right past our house, and a fete is just a short walk away.....First Sunday in May is Ferndale Day.....love it!! :-).

You can complain because roses have thorns, or you can rejoice because thorns have roses.

Ziggy. Yep, I do believe I’m on the rejoicing end, because, as you can see, these thorns have some pretty gorgeous roses in my front garden this week…….just sayin’….,Bon Samedi, mes amis!

Most everything influences my work. Working in a used bookstore. Going for walks in the woods and peering at mushrooms. Writing reviews….. Ariel Gordon. Just after I pulled into my parking space I glanced up and saw a lone mushroom growing smack dab in the middle of this tree stump & as I took a moment to watch the dappled sunlight play over this brave wee jewel, I pondered all of the metaphors for life one could draw from it & decided I’d just ponder them in my heart & let you make your own….feel free to share:-).
