Alt - Alternative lifestyles, fashion, hobbies -- that's what we're talking about right? It's an easy, catchall word for describing all sorts of activities and styles (see below). Let's call a spade a spade already.
Bohemian - For over 200 years, artists, musicians, writers, etc. have lived in concentrated areas embracing creative, independent culture and sacrificing for their art. Labels have changed, but the passion's the same. Maker - Picklers, crafters, tinkerers, these people are leading a new American industrial revolution called the Maker Movement (look it up. It's awesome). Freegan - Anti-consumers who salvage and repurpose mass society's waste. They embrace "community, generosity, social concern, freedom, cooperation, and sharing". How wonderful is that?

Asshole - We don't need an h' word that awkwardly lumps in alt types with douches and snobs. If you have to say you don't like someone, we already have more than enough words to choose from.
My little cousin has, as one does, stubbled across the furry fandom. However, i am afraid that my father has given her parents the information that I indeed make fursuits. This is a terrifying notion that I have only realized today and I am not sure how these elements will come into play in the future. Although, i do know that I will be going likely be going to a Comic-Con of sorts about the same time she is. This makes me slightly afraid. I do not know why, but I fear the future and resent the past.
I've read "Old Timer" from @imagine-darksiders, at least 3 months ago. Young Eidard is still living rent free in my brain.

sometimes I get so wrapped up in the difficulty of designing things that when I finally manage to get something that I’m pleased with and think will work, I forget I also need time and skill to actually create the thing and this is annoying
