RWBY Saints Of Remnant Notes: Redesign
RWBY Saints of Remnant Notes: Redesign
My dumb ass is trying to think of a design for Ruby and Blake, for the latter I want to do some kinda french/ninja/pirate vibe for her
as for Blake, maybe a ninja/pirate combo because when she becomes queen of the South(Vaccou part of it) I was thinking at the end she looks like a tropical queen, maybe a pirate ninja queen or something
definately giving her one of those anime ninja scarfs maybe her late father Kuroto(Ghira) who was from Mistrial was more ninja themed while her mom Noire(Kali) who's from Vaccou, is more Pirate themed when they were young, thus Blake is a Ninja-Pirate combo
Thus reconciling the ancient conflict of Ninjas and Pirates...
I mean in my AU is set in the Narnia multiverse and humans and Faunus were descended from humans originally brought from Earth up to the Civil War era by The Storyteller
So maybe Blake's Earth Ancestry can be Ninjas and Samurai on her father's side while being of French Pirates on her mother's
Ruby and Blake are hard...

RWBY: Saints of Remnant - The Storyteller
(Art done by the wonderful @magiesheartlove)
One of the many personas of The Great Prince
The Storyteller, who is worshiped in Remnant as the creator of the world and all life in it
The People of Remnant know very little of him, what is known he was sent by the even more mysterious Author Allfather to 'tell' the world of Remnant, or at the time Omnibus, into existence.
From there he had brought humans in, or I should have had stumble in, from another world that is known to those of Remnant as "The Other World" and the magical essence of Omnibus, known as 'Lore', had gifted them the potential of Aura and Semblance, and even transformed some humans into Faunus. And unfortunately some time after as a result of the fallen nature of humans and Faunus, evil was brought into Omnibus.
From there the fallen servant of The Author Allfather, Grimmel The Black and formerly known as Lux of Many Colors, had used it to manifest a vile ink that exists as a corruption and negation of creation which the Grimm are spawned.
Sometime after, The Storyteller appeared to a bookish sheepherder named Ozma with his wife and made him his prophet and gave him the power of The Patron Saints, with Ozma himself taking the role of The Time Wizard and gave the other powers to those who he found worthy. From there they rallied the four ancient tribes and raised four holy and mighty kingdoms in The Storyteller's honor until Ragnarok which the Saints were slaughtered and the world and moon were shattered, thus Remnant was born.
The Storyteller is described as many things besides his title, a creator, a healer, a poet
But one description is recurrent of him, and the Patron Saints that served him
'Not safe, but good'
I think the proper concern is how you go about these things, and how you treat people who don’t like it
For a personal example for the latter, I don’t like certain dark shows because they were too much for me, but a friend of mine related to my sentiment and explained why it works for a lot of people and how it’s a means to an end for something good
His kindness helped me understand while I don’t like it, it’s ultimately from a place of goodness and my friend liked these show out of virtue
These characters are not real, but people who are unhappy with how their stories turned out are real, and how you treat them may affect their understanding. Now if their just acting outright self-entitled and disrespectful then that’s another story.
As for the former, when it’s done out of shock value or anything that seems off, it can send a bad message, but even that may not have been the intent.
I really think everyone needs to truly internalize this:
Fictional characters are objects.
They are not people. You cannot "objectify" them, because they have no personhood to be deprived of. They have no humanity to be erased. You cannot "disrespect" them, because they are not real.
That’s probably the most infuriating thing, being labeled and dismissed when you put so much thought and time into something
Not even The Benefit of The Doubt
Me when RWBY fans say that rwde posters have only ever wanted to hate watch RWBY and never liked it and have no love for it.
I spent all day remaking the map, lol. XD
*knocks on door* I'm sorry, but since I'm unwilling to go beyond maybe Vol 4, what happened to Ironwood? I have a soft spot for him, and though I hear he got villainized, I refuse to accept Rooster Teeth's crappy ending for him.
Hoo boy, yeah that’s what I’ve heard too.
He was basically forced to make an ugly choice and RWBY and what remains of JNPR rebukes him for no reason other then “we’re the good guys lol” when they really aren’t at this point
I’ll say this much, the powers(only a different season) that were meant to sacrifice Pyrrha’s life in this AU end up saving her along with other power’s saving the rest of JNPR alluding to dying and rising figures
Pyrrha “dies” as Achilles, and is reborn as Persephone
Jaune “dies” as Joan of Arc, and is reborn as King Arthur
Lie Ren “dies” as Mulan and is reborn as Nezha
Nora “dies” as Thor, and is reborn as Baldur
"Pyrrha and the rest of JNPR are based on tragic martyrs! How can you write a well-earned happy ending in your reimagined AU!?"
Me: *currently stuffing dying-and-rising figures into them like suitcases* Yeah and Pinocchio doesn't die, become a real human, and die again and Lampwick doesn't stay human and get eaten by a monster, yet here we are.
