They Say Laughter Is The Best Medicine. With The Corona Virus People Are Panicking. My Friends In Hong

They say laughter is the best medicine. With the Corona virus people are panicking. My friends in Hong Kong are calling and asking me to send face masks because they have run out. Face masks don't really help in my opinion. Washing hands helps and not using public toilets is a good idea. Restrict travel if you can. Maybe avoid restaurants or public places. Work from home if you can.

Watched An Interesting Ted Talk By Researcher Sandrine Thuret Who Says You Can Actually Grow New Neurons

Watched an interesting Ted Talk by researcher Sandrine Thuret who says you can actually grow new neurons and essentially increase brain power.  Cutting calories by 20-30% and practicing intermittent fasting seems to increase new neuron formation. Been practicing that for the last 2 years I certainly feel sharp. Of course, sex and sleep are hard to find but they apparently increase brain power. 😊  So, I figure I will learn a new language, increase my Omega 3 fatty acids and exercise more to compensate.  😊 Of course, the elephant in the room is sugar which adversely affects brain power. If you have type 2 diabetes please take note.  Interestingly they found eating hard foods that require heavy chewing actually increase neuron growth while eating soft food decreases it. Not sure about high saturated fats damaging brain power because I have been increasing my intake of good saturated fats like coconut oil, pork belly and real grass-fed butter and feel sharper than I have ever felt. I am sure they mean vegetable oils and all the bad saturated fats. What do you think of these findings?

Admittedly This All Sits On Bed Of A Basmati Rice (high Carbs But A Low 52 Glycemic Index) But It's Healthy

Admittedly this all sits on bed of a Basmati rice (high carbs but a low 52 glycemic index) but it's healthy nevertheless. The center piece is a Sri Lankan Lime Pickle (healthy gut bacteria) which you can find in most Indian stores. Of course, some stir fried green beans with a pinch of Ceylon Cinnamon (cleans up the stomach of bad bacteria), garlic and chili oil to add a lovely savory taste. I got sardines (338% DV of B12) from a can, but stir fried it quickly in the olive oil it came in, with some chopped onions to add extra zest. The green stuff is the Collard greens (858% Vitamin K) finely chopped and quickly pan fried in coconut oil, a dash of turmeric (blood sugar control) and grated coconut. And course some roasted yellow bell pepper (157% DV Vitamin C) infused with sesame oil and our signature Cinnamon red lentil curry infused with Ceylon Cinnamon, turmeric, curry leaves (blood sugar control), black mustard seeds, cumin powder and coconut milk. All in all, pretty healthy wouldn't you say?

People In The West Often Do Not Understand About Foods That Build Heat In The Body And Food That Have

People in the West often do not understand about foods that build heat in the body and food that have a cooling effect. Subconsciously they do, when they gravitate towards certain foods in winter, like Squash or Cinnamon. But people often do not  have a deep-down understanding. The Chinese on the other hand are masters of this. Different seasons require different food. Listen to our bodies and discern what it is saying. We can learn from centuries of wisdom. If you are feeling cold this winter, try these foods. They will add some much-needed warmth. During summer you can have cooling foods like cucumber. But that list is for another day.

With all the panic with the Corona virus, we thought now would be a good time to put together a video with some practical advice on how to defend against it. From washing hands to using a hand held steam cleaner, because frankly we choked on those commercial disinfectants. Oh yeah handshakes are out for 2020. Maybe no kissing either. Dammit. Natural disinfectants are in. Lemon, salt, vinegar and more ideas in the video. And get sunlight. Check out our YouTube video here
