In my new job working as a nursing assistant in a long term care facility for the elderly, most of my colleagues completely confuse niceness and weakness. I'm determined to be gentle with everyone (colleagues included) and I cannot count how many of them have told me I'm going to be eaten alive if I keep it up. I don't know how to get them to understand that I'm doing what I do with deliberate intention. No one is going to eat me alive, even if the worst comes to pass (which I guess would be some form of getting backstabbed and fired) because I know I'm doing what's right. I have a lot of other job options. I'm choosing this one because it fits best at the moment, but I'm not going to embrace the toxic culture for any reason. That doesn't make me weak, it makes me indomitable.
A thing I notice is that at least 60% of the time some of the more caustic and temperamental types of people have this self-victimizing attitude where they see themselves as recovering doormats who have been nice for too long and so have "earned" permission to be mean to people because they confuse rudeness for assertiveness and niceness with submission and they have a binary view of the whole thing.
Please remember that almost everyone around you is traumatized. I didn’t understand this when I was younger. I wondered why people acted so strangely and irrationally. Maybe all children wonder this. The author Robert Anton Wilson said (paraphrasing), “We have never seen a completely sane adult human.” No one makes it out of this life alive. It’s not their fault. Mercy, kindness, forgiving — these are what makes one human. They are other names for love. People break in the strangest of ways.

This is a design contest, where the goal is to be the most creative, not the most accomplished. You will be judged by what you create, not by how well you depict it.
So, what is this little contest, you may ask? Good question!
Your goal is to combine an official Eeveelution with Mewtwo. For simplicity's sake, I am barring the Mega Evolutions - classic Mewtwo only. You can do shiny, though.
Contest entries are expected to adhere to both the deviantArt ToS and the rules of the club hosting the contest.

This contest ends on Halloween. The banner will be switched and the title will be changed to mark it as closed. Judging begins when the contest ends. There may be some delay between the announcement of winners and the distribution of prizes.

I can see this, however number 2 could also be seen as a way to take back some agency. The home sewer isn't putting a brand name in the garment, but a picture or word of their choice. It's more subversive than the first example.

PSA: BAD LITTERBOX
i don't usually make posts like this, but this is a truly upsetting topic to me as a lifelong cat owner, so i feel i have a duty to share my knowledge with others.
there is a type of automatic litterbox for cats being sold that is EXTREMELY dangerous and has killed numerous cats through blunt force trauma, suffocation, etc. this litterbox is being sold under different brand names and logos, so i will include the picture of the model and two links to informational videos with more evidence and eloquence than i am able to provide.
please consider not having this type of litterbox in your home for your furry friends. me and my 16 year old tortie, puddy, want the best for all your kitty friends
