Rip Gemma’s ukulele 03.03.18-08.11.18
I brought one of my ukuleles to school and a guitar fell on it and dented it. It still plays fine so I’m happy about that it’s just not as aesthetically pleasing anymore but my I’m going to get another ukulele and a hard case for it for Christmas so I can still keep bringing it into school without fear of it being dented ever again.

THREEEEE! The one with the Metallica sticker and thin neck is Rosita. She’s the uke I’ve always played up until today and she’s still my favorite even though she’s difficult to play. She’s technically a Cavaquinho (Brazilian ukulele with steel strings) but I replaced the metal strings with uke strings because when I found her I thought she was a ukulele that some asshole tried to turn into a guitar and tuned it way too high 💀
the other two ukes I got for Christmas
The big one is my first baritone uke from my dad! I’ve learned the basic chords and found that it has a really distinct sound and is much more resonant because of the body size. Almost sounds like a folk guitar. I named him Carlos
That pink one is another concert uke from my mom and step-dad! Since Rosita is a cavaquinho the sound is very, very slightly different even with uke strings. Getting my first actual concert ukulele, I have to learn to adjust to the wider fret board but it’s still really easy to play. Angelina was the first name that came to mind, and I love her design so much since I love the color pink!
