hey guys what if "What If Tomorrow Comes" is a reference to the line in twisted "But what if tomorrow doesn't come" (I don't remember it exactly). What if it's a callback to Twisted to celebrate the return of Dylan. what if
Helluva Rewritten Musical
I may not talk about it much here, but I am a massive fan of Team Starkid, there musical's make up basically my entire top 10 list and ever since I discovered them through Twisted I thought about the prospect of chipping away at an idea for a musical of my own.
However, it wouldn't be until recently, after several asks exchanged between myself and @pinkandpurple360 that it would occur to me how perfect HB could be if reimagined as a musical, or rather a series of musicals.
It all started with the simple idea of a stage adaptation that would use Stolas as the villain he was originally conceptualized as, with a focus on the episodes involving his affair, rewriting most of them to adapt the story to the plot shift and to make the production flow better.
Now, this is, at present, a purely hypothetical venture, an elaborate writing exercise being done by someone whose writing experience extends to a private, skit-based homage to British comedies from the turn of the millennium. (There is a non-zero chance I will refine that into something more substantial in the future) However, I would like to eventually realize HRM as an actual stage show.
For now, I'll be posting about individual aspects of it that I've thought about and discussed with others so far. If you're interested in what ideas have been developed so far, I suggest you start with these threads: one , two
Beyond that, I'm am more than willing to answer asks pertaining to the project, so if you have a specific thing you'd like clarified feel free to ask away!
I love Luci, but Dylan Saunders.... He should've been voiced by Dylan Saunders.
If you don't know why, then watch Twisted.
It wouldn't be that big a stretch, they already got Darren Criss.
Edit: To clarify, I love his voice acting as is, but as someone who's hopelessly addicted to Starkid I just go a bit nuts when he gives higher Dylan character vibes than he usually does.

He really pulled this card! He's trying to relate to her so bad, bless his efforts.
If I believed from Twisted:The untold story of a royal vizier fits John I think
An excerpt from the song-
'Science says you're dead and gone forever
Reason says I'm talking to the air
But something in my heart
Some secret hidden part
Illogically insists that you are there
Somewhere'
Thank you for coming to my Ted talk once again

Everyone Listens to Starkid, Right??
So, my partners (who shall remain nameless. I know you see this) have not listened to or watched any Starkid/TCB productions.
Starkid is a musical theatre production team that posts all of their musicals on YouTube, FOR FREE.
I will provide links down below to some of their shows, but this blog might become a Starkid Fan Page if Iâm not careful.
Some Starkid Musicals That Are Great To Start With (And my Personal Review)
A Very Potter Musical - A Harry Potter Parody Musical. Some older Starkid Shows are split into a video per scene. This was the first Starkid Musical, was made when the members were in College in 2009 (almost 11 years ago). The audio and video quality arenât the best, since it was 2009, but it is still an enjoyable comedy. As special of a musical it is in my heart, however, it has a scattered plot. It is the first of three âA Very Potterâ Musicals. Draco Malfoy is played by a young woman, who rolls on the floor. Darren Criss, better known for his acting as Blaine in Glee, begins his acting career as Harry Potter. Made me ship Voldemort and Quirrel. 9.8/10 You wonât regret it, This Musical is Totally Awesome!
Official Description: Harry and his pals are in for adventure when the Dark Lord returns from the dead to take revenge on The Boy Who Lived! So take a ride on Voldemort's flying machine and get ready to go back to Hogwarts!
Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizer - This Musical is impressive. Itâs Wicked, but itâs Aladdin. Itâs heartfelt, but itâs an absolute joke. It is, somehow, as traditional as Sondheim and as fresh and new as Lin Manuel-Miranda. Long story short, It may be one of my favorite Starkid musicals. Twisted focuses on the classical Disney villain, Jafar. The musical tells a different story from that of Aladdin, however. In it, the Sultan is an incompetent man, and needs his Vizer, Jafar, to care for the country. Jafar, however, is hated by the people, who donât seem to understand practicality. Aladdin is not a sympathetic Diamond in the rough, but a crazy, murderous, scoundrel. Jasmine, who, to my knowledge is only referred to as âThe princessâ is a well meaning, but ineffectual and oblivious at best and at worst, ditzy, and incredibly stupid. She is, however, an endearing thing, and I found myself loving her more by the 2nd act. 15/10 THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT, JAFAR!
Official Description: Hop on your flying carpet, because this musical parody retells the classic tale of Aladdin... from the villain's point of view! Long ago in a Magic Kingdom, one misunderstood Royal Vizier will go on a quest to save his city from its bumbling sultan, an invading prince, and the most notorious thief to ever live! With the help of the Kingdom's free-spirited, teenage Princess, the Vizier must find a magical lamp containing a wish-granting Djinn (who's really funny, by the way) and defeat the city's most-wanted criminal... Aladdin! This musical adventure celebrates and lovingly pokes fun at everyone's favorite series of hand-drawn, animated films.
The Guy Who Didnât Like Musicals - A horror-comedy about singing aliens who possess people! Sounds fun! The first Starkid musical I ever listened to. *gasp* theyâre a... NEW FAN??1!1!!?? Yes. I admit it. I had never seen anything Starkid related (except for the Edgar Allen Poe Murder Mystery from Tin Can Bros... long story) I honestly thought, at first, that it was a guy who was ranting online about not liking musicals. Then, when I found out IT WAS a musical, I figured it was about some guy learning how to enjoy musicals. BOY, WAS I WRONG. TGWDLM follows the title character, Paul, played by Jon Matteson. This musical and itâs sequel gave birth to a lot of what I call Baby Starkids. New additions to the cast. Now, I consider Robert Manion part of this list, because baby didnât get enough screen time in Twisted, damnit. 11/10. Robertâs Hip Wiggles. Watch, and youâll know.
Official Description: Everything in Hatchetfield seemed normal until people began singing... Then, they began dancing... And now, a musical pandemic is sweeping the entire city. Itâs up to Paul (an average guy who doesnât like musicals) and his friends to stop this musical apocalypse and fight for humanityâs future.
