Radical Feminist - Tumblr Posts
idk if this is controversial or not but i very firmly believe that the statements “being born and raised/socialized biologically female presents a very specific kind of oppression that people who aren’t biologically female haven’t experienced” and “trans women are women and should be included in feminism” can (and should!!) coexist.
there are going to be differences in experience and that is ok. it is basic intersectionality.
trans women also experience different kinds of oppression that cis women do not experience!! intersectionality!!!
we do not have to tear down trans women to be a feminist. and we do not have to tear down feminists to support trans women. ALL women (cis and trans!!) are impacted by misogyny, and instead of tearing each other down we should SUPPORT each other and tear down the systems that oppress us all!!
just my two cents. i also believe that radical feminism doesn’t have to be trans-exclusionary.
This post reminds me of my childhood. I use to win every argument with a boy I ever had when I was little, but now when I argue with boys from my childhood as a teenager they’re kinda assholes. They always interrupt me and try to one up me. The worst part now is why we are arguing…
Why is my little brother becoming the type of man I hate? Misogynistic, fatphobic, homophobic, racist… etc.
Is so sad that the little kid I used to love has turned into this, and that it is an universal experience for every older sister.

I saw this from the female separatism subreddit & the responses are some of the biggest reasons for separatism et al (or extinction if I'm being candid here). Moids cant be reformed they are fully aware of the hell they force women to live in. MaIe achievement & happiness is rooted in female exploitation & life. Their glory days are based on our horrific days. No amount of love, kindness or facts will change maIes and we cannot happily or even neutrally coexist with them.

Main points across answers:
Many want to experiment but not permanently be women
They dont want to be in constant danger or lose their autonomy at the hands of maIes for merely existing
They dont want to deal with childbirth (& periods)
They dont want to have to share spaces with species much stronger than them with ulterior motives
It makes me go crazy seeing people give moids benefit of doubt for their evil like "maIes just dont understand", "we need to teach maIes", or claiming that maIe violence is a result of maIes struggling with (expressing) their feelings. I get that women love maIes and it can be hard to imagine that people can intentionally be so evil but it is what it is. MaIes have no problems expressing themselves, abusing women is what maIes choose to do because they enjoy & benefit from it - that is their expression.
MaIes see the same news of women being abused, raped, and killed like we do except rather than be disheartened or alarmed they're either apathetic or satisfied. It isn't aliens that's committing GBV it's maIes & maIes have no problem reminding women of this when women anger them (such as rape threats & threatening women they'll end up on the news/true crime). The victim blaming, denial, and derailment of misogyny is part of the game to keep the system alive, they know the events occured & are a systemic occurence they just dont care. Hell not only do they not care, they rejoice in it or get off on it.
MaIes set up environments that work in their favour which simultaneously ensures that women will lose. They know women are set up to live in damn near impossible conditions for us. It's normalised for women to defenselessly share personal & private spaces with beings much more stronger than them with ulterior motives for us, it's trap. It's interesting how these moids aren't saying that they'll just cover up and *poof* harrassment gone, or they'll just pick a nice guy & they'll be okay. MaIes know the net negative they are towards women.
MaIes know that childbirth is a painful process & what do they do? Demand it happens and make it even MORE painful for women. MaIes that impregnate women do not love or care for them. Pregnancy itself is dangerous & sometimes lethal, often comes with a range of health issues, to cause someone to be in that condition especially in a environment where abortions are illegal is reckless & unloving. Now imagine how sinister & full of hatred one has to be to impregnate someone and abuse them on top of that. Many women risk their health & lives to reproduce with a Y and they get abused by said Y instead of being taken care of. Deranged.
Realising that maIes are aware of the evil they inflict is one of the things that radicalised me. It isn't a miscommunication or ignorance issue, their violence is intended. They want control. The cruelty is the point. Instead of wasting time & energy trying to change maIes or hope that they "understand" one day, focus on yourself & other women (who prioritise women). Moids aren't oblivious to female pain they enjoy it. A lot of women treat maIe evil like it's a mistake on maIes part but it's calculated terrorism. I know that this will go over many womens heads as they refuse to hold strong negative sentiments about moids as a collective so if you're not a woman like that, take this post as a sanity check. You aren't crazy, it isn't all in your head.
I saw a post about his woman the other day where everyone was like "trans people have always existed", "trans history ftw" etc. And I was so fucking annoyed. Like, does anyone really think this woman woke up one day and went "I really identify with men and I think I am going to live the rest of my life as one because that’s just how I feel and haters gonna hate! It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that women aren’t allowed to live an unwed life in the service of education. And it certainly isn't motivated by a desire to study medicine which women also aren’t allowed to do at this point in time. And the fact that I want to be with women, which is also frowned upon by society since I am also a woman, is also not one of the factors influencing my decision."

You know those yard signs that are like "In this house we believe: climate change is science, no humans are illegal, gay rights are human rights" etc. and they basically just sum up the American liberal belief in one easy-to-read sign? I want one of those for radfem beliefs that just sums our talking points up. I'm thinking something along the lines of "In this house we know that:
-lgb rights are human rights
-feminism exists for the liberation of women
-abortion and contraception are healthcare
-hormone replacement and plastic surgery for the purpose of gender transition are NOT healthcare
-Pornography fuels the sex trafficking industry and both industries exploit women endlessly for male pleasure
Anyone else have additions?
I think one of the major issues in getting people to understand what radfems (or any group, really) believe in is the idea that outliers in a data set suddenly redefine any given concept. People will say that biological sex is a spectrum due to the fact that people with DSDs exist. But that's not how a spectrum works. A spectrum is when all possible options are distributed across an axis and with statistically significant occurrences for all options. If, for example, 10% of the population had Turner's Syndrome, then the spectrum for biological sex would probably be XX, XY, and X, because common occurrences have to be on our radar in order to understand the biological differences and their effects on medical treatment etc. All other chromosomal occurrences would be outliers. It doesn't mean that the outliers don't exist, it just means it is considered abnormal.
I think a better way of understanding it is to look at how we define the human body. If you asked anyone on the street to describe the human body, they would probably say a human has two arms, two legs, a head, two eyes, etc. Every day, lots of children are born missing a vital organ or with too many toes or some other anatomical anomaly. But baby Sally having 13 toes doesn't suddenly make it so that we have a "spectrum of toe counts from 1 to 13". That would require a large portion of the population to have too many or not enough toes. The reality is that she has 3 extra toes. It doesn't make her non-human, it makes her toes an EXCEPTION to the rule of 10 toes.
I just wish people would understand this mindset and how it has such a huge impact on the way data is recorded and thus on health outcomes.
And for the first time I found that boilerplate expression of support—which I know well and haven’t blinked at in other contexts—not just wanting but offensive. I understood, intellectually, that these replies were at the same time perfectly reasonable: Belief is the frame we’ve developed to counteract the skepticism with which sexual assault victims are treated. The intentions are good. But reading the responses, I felt certain that if I came forward with an account of personal harm, I would never forgive—or make the mistake of confiding in—any person who dared say such a thing to me, especially under the aegis of support. Somewhere along the way, it seems we all agreed (I did too!) that the proper response to people who have been assaulted is, in effect, “I do not think you are a liar.” It is reactive rather than responsive. It grants higher standing to the ugly premise that survivors are liars than to the actual pain being expressed.
This article was very well written and it captures the problem perfectly. Thanks for sharing it. It amazes me every day that the statement "believe women" must be reiterated at all. You'd think we would have accepted that we should believe women and moved onto "get some fucking justice for women who've been assaulted in any capacity".

What is with this strange change in Tumblr users being anti-social on a social media platform? Like, hear me out! I've had multiple people respond to a comment of mine and then delete it before I could see it. I've seen posts of people telling people to fuck off or die on fun posts that have nothing to do with opposing beliefs. On simple and fun, whimsical post. And people are apologizing for others not "respecting their boundaries" on a public form of entertainment. I've been on Tumblr since I was a child, and I've never seen this before. Yall need to touch grass for real.
