I 100% believe that Crowley drew the picture and wrote the text, making Aziraphale seem like an intimidating badass so that other demons would leave him alone (not to mention, notify him if they’d interacted with Aziraphale at all so he’d know if he needed to step in), as one of his infinite acts of protection. 

So like...who made this image of Aziraphale?

He looks like so cool here. Intimidating, fearless, powerful, and wielding his flaming sword with a hard look on his face.

Was it Crowley and he's been holding out on us about his drawing ability? Did he have this commissioned and then submit it to the book. It was clearly published after he changed his name, so maybe?

OR does he just talk Aziraphale so lovingly and fiercely everyone's just like "okay, we got a badass over here"? How much authority or input does Crowley have on this interpretation of him? Is this how Crowley sees him?

It doesn't seem like Aziraphale interacts with other Demons. So like who else saw Aziraphale to 1) know he's got a flaming sword and 2) sees him as an intimidating beauty?

Or is this just incidental? Did some demon of Hell just go "I guess we have to fill space with an image. Might as well insert random Angel fanart here."

I love all these options!

Is it absolutely KNOWN that Crowley and Aziraphale didn't speak or meet at any point between the Holy Water Breakup and 1941? I see a lot of theories based on that certainty, and was curious if I'd missed where or how we came to know that for sure. S2 made it clear to me that we haven't seen all their meetings or close to it, and there's more to reveal. I feel like there definitely could be an in-between make-up scene we haven't seen yet.

It's occurred to me that "I knew you'd come through for me. You always do." would be a strange thing to say to a person you haven't seen in 80 years, especially when your last interaction was pointedly refusing a favor, spitting that you didn't need each other, and storming off.

Crowley can’t see the stars because of his snake eyes.

It is well-known that Crowley became a demon simply for asking questions about how much he wanted his creations (the stars) to keep on going.

Crowley lost his right to look at the stars—knowing how ‘allergic’ are angels for anyone to question their ways, in Heaven's perspective, Crowley had no right to be able to look at the stars for questioning the way the almighty do things.

This will explain so much of why Crowley has this absolute utter hatred towards the people from upstairs and wants nothing to deal with them. Azirephael never went through a fall like Crowley did.

It seems like, to become a demon. They must take what was the most precious to you—because having something more personal and essential enough for you to dare question the Will of the almighty seems outrageous to them. So that's how they punish the fallen, besides the noticeable fall.

So, how did they punish Crowley? By taking away precisely what Crowley did in the first scene in season two. Able to look at the stars in all its sunlight splendidly.

Not sure if it was on purpose but sunlight might be quite blind for his snake eyes now. Perhaps why she uses sunglasses everywhere she goes. But at the same time, sunglasses will mess up her eyes sight so bad.

Snakes, compared to other reptiles have terrible eyesight. So say goodbye to the careful colorful details he gave to those nebulas and the fact he can't no longer watch these stars as close as he did when he was an angel. For it might blind him completely.

If this is the case, and you see how happy Crowley was to see the stars. Aziraphael has EVERY RIGHT, to want to come back to heaven to fix this because fuck that!
