Ways to Disappear
In the dark
Down a stairwell
Through the doorway
Gone west
With a new wish
In daylight
Down the sidewalk
In a wool coat
In a white dress
Without a name
Without asking
On your knees
On your stomach
Gone silent
In the backseat
In the courtroom
In a cage
In the desert
In the park
Gone swimming
On the shortest night
At the bottom of the lake
In pieces
In pictures
Without meaning
Without a face
Seeking refuge
In a new land
Gone still
In the heart
With your head bowed
In deference
In sickness
In surrender
With your hands up
On the sidewalk
In the daylight
In the dark

Sorry, this is going to be a little long ramble
This is the first time I am doing sometime like this, so here goes nothing...
There is something chilling about being a second-generation immigrant in a first-world country. Your life condition is at a level where there is more to be desired, but high enough compared to your peers back in your homeland that you can’t really complain.
Your life is basically better off than any of your relative because of your parents’ hard work and sacrifice, but your still have to build up a lot ahead of you for your children, ending with you doing most of the heavy lifting between the three first generation of this new family in a new land. Your parents are already halfway through their life and you are responsible for their peaceful and blissful retirement, but not your off springs to you.
This creates a dilemma where you feel like you can’t complain about your grievances without passing as privileged or spoiled to the diaspora that you belong to, but there is still a need to voice those concern or else they would never be solved because, to the eye of the public, the issues don’t exist or are insignificant, warranting no intervention.
You end up stuck in this feeling that you are not allowed to feel a certain range of emotions of discomfort because there are people who are suffering more than you and yes, they need the help of the world more than you. Their concerns take priority over yours, but the world has proven time and time again that it is not interested or is not in a rush at all to help out those who are in dire need, and if the world is taking its time fixing the really messed up thighs that lurk on our planet, it begs the question, when will they come around and address mines? Will they ever address my concerns?
To add salt to injury, people of your community say that you are lucky to live in such luxury, because to them, you are but in reality, you are far from it. That specifically, is what makes your position so awkward, you are not on the same level as the native of the land you now call home, even if that land in question was your birthplace, but you are from that land, so you are treated as such by people outside of your national boundaries.
It’s so frustrating because you want people to understand without coming across as condescending or entitled, but you also want to do so much more to help. It leads to an easy feeling of numbness and, honestly, that feeling is healthy for long periods of time.
Tennessee Community Forms Human Chain to Protect Family From ICE Arrest ...
Dark times all around but there are still people out there who love you
Do not hurt yourself, do not hurt others, get help, talk to someone, anyone. Humanity has survived before and we can do it now if we all just support each other. My country and my people let me down and endangered my life but there’s nothing I or anyone else can do about that so let’s try to spread the love that is so clearly lacking.
No human is illegal.

In Australia we imprison asylum seekers indefinitely, including women and children, without trial, in concentration camps where they are assaulted, raped and murdered.
Our politicians call then “illegals” and “economic migrants” and they are demonised for political capital amongst a lazy and misinformed electorate.
Its a joy and wonder to see even a small group like this one in Hobart come out and say “Not me, not on my watch, welcome refugees, welcome to Tasmanaia!”
A federal judge has chosen not to force Texas health officials to change their stance in denying birth certificates to immigrant families with U.S.-born children, saying that the families raised “grave concerns” but more evidence is needed, according to a ruling issued Friday.
U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman in Austin denied an emergency injunction on behalf of immigrant families seeking birth certificates for their children after the Department of State Health Services refused to recognize as valid certain forms of identification.
The families’ lawyers had asked for the judge to intervene, saying that the children’s right to health care, travel and schooling — along with parental rights — are being harmed.
Pitman called the arguments of the families “heartfelt, compelling and persuasive,” but said that this was “not enough without substantiating evidence to carry the burden necessary to grant relief,” according to the ruling.
At issue is the acceptance of identification cards — known as matriculas consulares — issued by Mexican consulates to citizens living and working in the United States. Lawyers for the families contend that prior to 2013 they were able to present these document, as well as foreign passports without U.S. visas in them, and obtain birth certificates in Texas.
The judge said in his ruling that attorneys had not shown that health officials had improperly “focused on and excluded” these documents. The judge also questioned the integrity of the information behind the consulate identification cards and passports.
“A birth certificate is a vital and important document,” he said. “As such, Texas has a clear interest in protecting access to that document.”
May 13, 2021 - Immigration cops tried to arrest two men in Glasgow, Scotland, on the day of Eid. A huge crowd of locals in the area of Pollokshields, chanting “these are our neighbours, let them go!”, turned up and boxed the police van in for seven hours, withstanding attempts by police to break through the crowd, until the cops were forced to let the two men go. “The police don’t target black people,” says the white person.
“LGBTQ+ people have plenty of protection,” says the straight, cisgender person.
“Women don’t feel harassed at work,” says the man.
“Poor people don’t need more government help,” says the rich person.
“Immigrants feel welcome here,” says the natural-born citizen.
Please stop invalidating the concerns of people who have problems that you’re not experiencing. Instead, listen to them, and learn what you can do to help.

Kamala: "My mother was middle class and she worked hard to give us a home. I worked hard to be a successful businesswoman. Vote for me and I will provide actual answers to questions."
Trump: "My dad only gave me a few million dollars when I was born. I turned it into billions. People are surprised by how many billions I have. I'm so relatable. Vote for me and I'll get rid of the transgender aliens haunting the solar panels. No hate to the solar panels, by the way."

So apparently, there's this thing trending on Twitter called #X Files Draw-Along, or something. Well, I happened to just watch the first X-Files movie on this cold winter night. The acting, was, well, sub-par, but the aliens were...well actually the aliens looked terrible also.
But the plot was...the plot was okay. it had governments hiding things about aliens from people, so it was good in my book. And some exciting tension between Mulder and Scully, until Scully gets stung by a bee carrying an alien virus.
But anyway, here's my take on the X-Files...with a political TWIST! heheheeh
edit: now with color. :O
