out of curiosity what are dark fics or dubcon?
this is my understanding of what a dark fic is. it’s a pretty broad/vague term!
and dub con means dubious consent. in the more intimate scenes i write (and if i ever end up writing any NSFW fics) i always want consent to be explicit and wouldn’t feel comfortable writing something in which it isn’t.

First of all I like how his songs get quieter and calmer over the years. Not only he doesn't have to scream to be heard ("Everyone is shouting / And here I am, speaking silence", literally) - he actually comes back to the quiet person he's always been, and I'm so happy to see him healing.
His "stream of consciousness" songs never fail to amaze me (can I ever stop crying on "forever rain"?), and this one, again, is not specifically a love song - as the MV suggests, it's about life. He wants back life that was taken from him, maybe even by himself, the life that he thinks he never fully belonged in, that he thinks he never had.
This is so autobiographical as well, cos he's been speaking up for years on how he longs for a common life. He's basically sacrificed his teenage and young adult life for his dream and now, turning 30, he doubts whether it was worth it (and has expressed it in Indigo as well). But that doubt is not, like, tragical, cos even those with a perfect life have regrets, let alone someone like Namjoon. It's more of a sad look back before moving on, trying to make it better.
I can't imagine how bittersweet filming the MV was for him cos while it's all familiar and relatable to us, he himself hasn't experienced half of it in real life, ever. Very "right place, wrong person" of him.
The MV ending was so healing and hopeful and I genuinely hope this is how it's gonna be in Namjoon's real life - that he would never forget he never walks alone.

Very interesting that despite the presence of Pluton and 3 other top 10s, the core dialogue and mutual concern for each other revolves around these 2 only
Kartein's thoughts are always in the forefront when it comes to Kayden; both during and post the fight. Interestingly, Kartein is the only one Kayden visibly shows concern for right now, despite Pluton and him being equally at a disadvantage against top 10s
I wonder if I'm reading too much into it, but even so, NOTHING about these two is straight😭
