“Nishi, did you check the cake? I think it’s time.” Taehyung asked. I was searching for the something and I couldn’t reach, I had to use that small stool.

“Tae, don’t worry. It’s not time yet. Few more minutes.”

“Jimin, are you done with the lighting? Yet? The balloons are on the floor. I need to stick it too.” I asked

“Yes, done. I will help you with it so don’t worry.” Jimin said,

“Hobi, go and help Nishi in finding stuffs; she looks like she is struggling a lot. I can’t go because of these gifts.”

“No no It’s fine, ah-

“NISHI!” Three of them shouted in unison but I was saved by Hoseok. He caught me.

“Thankyou for saving me” I was scared of falling, at least not now and tonight.

“Told you to be careful, why are you so careless and clumsy?” Jimin half yelled.

“Hey, I am sorry, really” I apologized to him.

“Jimin is right, you could’ve asked anyone of us. What if Hobi didn’t catch you at that time” it was Yoongi oppa’s turn. He is going to lecture a lot but

“Guess the cake is ready, save it for later oppa. Let me take out the cake and check. I need to decorate it too. Jimin come and help me right now.” I looked at Jimin and Yoongi oppa’s look was ‘done’ face. Haha I am like that

I ran near the oven, I took out the cake and everyone took the scent, it looked delicious honestly. I am waiting for 12 AM.

“Jungkook will love it.” Taehyung said.

“Let’s decorate it Jimin and make it look beautiful. I have candles in the kitchen counter; bring them later. I said to Jimin and everyone went back to work. His 23rd birthday is going to be special.

Once me and Jimin are done with cake, I covered it carefully so that I won’t spoil it. I was satisfied with the look, it looked beautiful with help of Jimin; Jimin is full of aesthetics.

I went to hang the balloons fast, we did it together so it was pretty easy, and we finished fast.

“Did you say Namjoon to bring flowers, bouquet for Jungkook?” Hobi asked Taehyung and Taehyung nodded.

“Now we need to get ready, feel free to use any of these rooms. All of you are so good looking, I look like potato, you know. Still I will go and dress up a bit. It’s Kookie’s birthday after all” I said and looked at them.

“Yah, you are not a potato; you are beautiful and Kookie loves you. You are my pretty little sister” Yoongi oppa said and I smiled.

“Okay, we need to change first and then carry out our plan.”

“Yea, you better don’t let your acting fail Nishi” Taehyung said

“Don’t worry. I won’t let you all down.” And hi-fived with Jimin.

I went to my room, took out my blue knee length dress, and wore it. I wore the heart shaped pendant, and let my hair down. Perfectly placed my side bangs; after applying light make up, I applied cherry tint. And his favorite perfume gave me a finishing touch. I took his gift bag and a letter, which I wrote for him. I kept that letter inside his gift bag. I went down and saw other in living room.

“You lied when you said you look like a potato Nishi.” Taehyung stated. I was laughing hard.

“Can Jungkook reach in 15 minutes? Because the doors will be opened at 11:59pm and Jimin will open and since there will be no light so he won’t be able to tell whether it was locked or not.” I asked

 “Ayy, we can trust on Namjoon.” Yoongi oppa replied. I nodded. “So, let me just call him.”

“All the best” Wished Jimin.

I texted Jungkook

“Kookie”

“Jungkook”

“Jungkook!”

“As expected he didn’t reply. Let’s call” Taehyung said.

I dialled his number and kept on speaker, he picked up after three rings,

“Nis-

“Jungkook!” my voice came out like I was crying,

“Are you okay? Baby?” he was worried, sorry Jungkook had to do this,

“Yah Jungkook, come here” we heard Namjoon’s voice

“Hold on hyung, it’s Nishi. Nishi what happened? Are you okay? Who hurt you?”

“Jung- Jungkook, I am scared. I am just scared please come to me. Jungkook I am sorr-

“Don’t be sorry, I am coming in 15 minutes. Okay? Don’t cry, I am here. I am coming.”

“Hyung, I am going to Nishi’s house” before hanging up I heard.

‘You know what if he comes to know that this was just a plan, he will kill us.” Taehyung yelled.

“Calm down. Dude. I am here, don’t worry. By the way, Speakers are ready and keyboard? I want to turn my living room as something comforting.”

“We have our AGUST D so he can always play something.” Hobi laughed.

“let me bring the cake on the table. Table is decorated right Tae?” Taehyung smiled and I went to kitchen.

I carefully brought the cake, and when I went to table, I was overwhelmed; it was so pretty. I kept it on table and Jimin kept the candles near the cake.  “Oppa put the candles on the cake at 11:58 pm okay?”

“No worries sissy”

Flowers are ready, now I can’t wait any more. I want to see his face, his happy face but something hit me suddenly, what if he doesn’t like any of this? What if he gets pissed because I lied to him? I tried to shrug off those thoughts. All of us were sitting on the couch.

“Are you worried?” Hobi asked I denied.

“It’s 11:58 pm,let me go and put the candles.” Oppa went and came back fast.

 “Jimin run. Turn off the lights and open the door” Taehyung said and we hid near the couch.

Jimin went to switch off the lights and one more minute,

DING the doorbell rang.

“Nishi, is the door open?!” he was shouting.

“See the panicked Kookie now” Taehyung laughed.

Jimin opened the door, as expected he didn't notice Jimin at back of the door.

“baby where are you? I am here. Your Jungkook is here, baby?” I slowly got up and went to him without making any sound

Jimin turned on the light and he closed his eyes, I ran to him and hugged him. He held me tight

“HAPPY BITRTHDAY JUNGKOOK” all of us shouted

He let go me, and looked at me. His hands trailed through my cheeks.

Jimin was the one who hit him hard on his back. “YAH JUNGKOOK! DIDN’T YOU LIKE IT?” Jimin asked

Jungkook turned back, “Yah Jungkook are you crying?” Namjoon asked him. Jungkook was sniffing,

“Jungkook? Baby? Look here.” I went to face him, he was trying to hold back his tears, Namjoon gave me the flowers. I took the bouquet and gave it to him. He suddenly hugged me tight.

"Awwwwwwww" everyone yelled.

"Thankyou baby" he whispered loud enough to hear.

"We all did it. Now stop being emotional and go snd check out your birthday outift brought by Jin oppa. Change it fast. Fast fast. Gooooo" Jin oppa gave him the bag and pushed him inside the guest room.

Jungkook came out,he looked perfect. Yoongi oppa dragged him to table where I kept the cake. Namjoon lit up the candles.

"Wish and blow up" I said and I was standing right by his side. He blew up the candle and he cut the cake. One by one we ate.

"Damn it's soooo tasty" Jin oppa complimented and everyone agreed. After screaming and shouting. Yoongi oppa played something in my keyboard. It was smoothing.

"Kookie go and dance with her" Namjoon pushed Jungkook and Jimin pushed me. Jimin switched off the lights and only the dim lights were on.

"Would you like to dance with me?" Jungkook askes and everyone cheered. I nodded. He took my hand and placed it on his shoulders and placed his hands on my waist.

Slowly we started feeling the music and dancing along with it. It was like, only me and Jungkook are here. No one else is here, "Thankyou love" Jungkook said. He startes leaning towards me and I tip toed to kiss him. He pulled me closer and kissed me deeply, I was lost. His soft lips letting me feel the peace around me.

"GUYS GET A ROOM NOT INFRONT OF US." I heard Taehyung. I stopped kissing him and came back to reality that we are not alone.

"JUNGKOOK DIDN'T THINK YOU WILL KISS HER INFRONT OF US" Namjoon mocked.

Jungkook held my hand and ran towards the rooftop , I was shocked and we heard "GO AND HAVE FUN" I was embarrassed as hell. Once we reaches rooftop, we saw the sky full of stars. I looked at him,he was staring at me.

"What are you staring at? Jungkook?" I asked him.

"You. Thankyou for coming in my life and making it happier" he said as if he was lost in his thoughts.

"Jungkook I am more thankful,Happy birthday my love. I love you more than love." I said him.

"I love you more than love Nishi" he said and I felt his lips against mine.

“Hyunjin, I will sit near the window! don’t you dare to sit” you told him, after you saw people getting down.

“Okay, okay. Sit, near the window.” He smiled at you.

There were no seats earlier, but now people started getting down and you finally sat beside Hyunjin. You looked outside, it looked pretty. The chilly winds hitting your face and you enjoyed it. Hyunjin held your hands, all of a sudden. You looked at him.

“What?” I can’t even hold your hand now?” he asked.

“It’s not like that- you were flustered.

“I won't do anything unless you are ready. I will do what you want”

“Hyunjin-

“I am ready to wait, for you to open.”

You looked outside and realized you have to get down soon, you stood up, ready to get off.

“You are really going?”

‘Hyunjin, I need to go”

“You can’t stay with me, tonight?”

“I wish I could, but I can’t I’m sorry.” you replied him

“You can stay with me, I want to stay with you“ he looked at you, you could feel the sadness in his words.

You wanted to stay with him too, but if you don’t go home tonight; you will be questioned and lot of things can happen because, today you managed to come out because you literally begged your mom to have dinner outside, that’s the reason you can’t stay outside. You didn’t tell Hyunjin about it, he will be worried.

You don’t know what you felt at that time, you went to him. Bent over to his height and placed your lips on his, you closed your eyes and felt his soft lips. You hit realization, you opened your eyes, totally flustered because of what you did. He held your hands, “You really want to leave me now? This was our first kiss.” You were getting more flustered. He was a tease, and that was working on you.

“I am going, bye.”

“Bye baby” and you got off the bus. You saw him through the windows, he waved at you and he smiled. You were happy, this was your first kiss. Your phone started ringing, it was Hyunjin. “Go home safely, take care. I love you”

“Yes, they look extra pretty today, or is it because you are with me kookie?” he is my star, the bright star in my life, who brought light to my life.

He removed his hand which was resting on my hand, I looked at him, as soon as I realized the warmth was taken off from my hand, next thing I realized he pulled me closer, he pulled me into his embrace. I looked at him, he was smiling.

“Why are you staring?” he caught me again.

“Nothing”

“Where you thinking, I would leave your hand?” I nodded as the response to his question.

“I would never, rather I would pull you closer like this.” his smile was everything to me, his smile holds my small universe.

I wrapped my hands around his waist and hugged him, and snuggled closer to him, he is my comfort, my home and my everything.

Where did the time go? How could time pass this fast, whenever I am with him? this happens everytime, whenever I am with him, I never realize that time flies so fast, making every moment so short for us, I wish to spend my life like this with him, I can love him endlessly.

I got up, he looked at me, with his beautiful innocent doe eyes. “where are you going?”

I went to our car, brought the cake and held the gift box, I was walking towards him carefully, he looked immense into the waves, the sound of waves were unknowingly calming, it felt so peaceful.

I was walking slowly, he still didn’t notice me, I went near him “Kookie!” he was taken aback and looked at me with a surprised face, I sat on sand and took out the cake.

“Don’t say anything” he was about to say something, but I stopped him. I kept the gift box away from him, thankfully he didn’t notice, he was looking at the cake; I placed the candles and lit it up. I looked at my phone to know the time and it hit 12 am.

“Happy  birthday Jungkook. Happy Birthday, you are my happiness. Thankyou for being born. Your happy smile is my day, sometimes its exhausting and difficult, and during those days I will be with you always. I love you. Thankyou for being born, really thankyou for being born. You are my happiness, happy birthday”

I was really happy, he was smiling, his smile is my everything, I was smiling because of him now. He looked happy, I can never ask for anything more, his happiness and his smile holds my life. “Now close your eyes, wish and blow the candles” he closed his eyes, and blew the candles.

“Thankyou so much love.” His happiness was visible on his face. I was just happy.

“Thankyou for making my birthday special, thankyou for everything, i can never ask for anything more, you are with me and you are mine, I am blessed to have you.”  His smile is the most precious thing in this whole world, when I say it I really mean it.

I picked my gift box, and made him stand. I held his hand and took him near the sea shore, “show me your hand” and the waves were hitting our feet, slowly, it felt nice.

I gave him the gift box, he was amazed, his eyes showed how excited he was, “Open it, it’s your birthday gift. Happy birthday Kookie.”

He opened it, with a big smile, it was a couple ring, “Really?” he sounded so happy. I took out the ring and made him wear and he did the same.

“You have no idea how thankful and happy I am because of you Nishi, you are one of the best thing that happened to me.” he suddenly pulled me by my waist. I was embarrassed, so I was looking down at our feet which was soaked in water. He lifted my chin and made me face him.

“you have no idea how much I love you, I love you, my love. Thankyou for making my birthday so special with this beach date and with a best gift ever.” He kissed me softly, he is my everything.

I was waiting for him to come home, I was craving for his warmth, I just wanted his hugs, I miss him. His schedule was hectic, he was getting so busy, we could even rarely text eachother, it’s been 4 days, I last talked with him. I miss him, and I wish he was here. I went to my bookshelf and took out a book “Of curses and kisses”

I lied down on the bed and started reading it, all I wished was him by my side and how much I miss the cuddles at night. At this point, I just hope he is taking care of himself and getting the minimum rest, because the choi seungcheol I know; doesn’t know how to rest.

I was so into the book, I suddenly felt tickles, I was surprised. I looked to my left side, he took the book I was holding and kept on the night table, I was about to take it from his hand, but his fast reflexes. He pulled the blanket and just in a blink of eye, we were under the blanket. His arm was under my head, and he pulled me closer, my heart started beating fast. I was unable to look at his eyes anymore, heat rushed through my cheeks making me feel hot.

He looked at me, I could feel his stares on me; he held my chin and made me look at him, he just knows what to do and when “I’m your favorite person, I know it” the confidence on his face told me something else, he was in a mood of teasing.

Before I could even continue he pulled me closer again, my face was hot, I was sure. I kissed her forehead, “you know I am so happy” and tugged her hair strands falling on her face, she was facing me. “I love you so much” she smiled and held my hand which was resting on her cheeks, “I love you too, that’s why don’t worry too much, your mum will be here from today and you can go and live in dorms for few days. I know it will be a bit hard but, you know I am strong and I will never come in between your work life mingyu, never” I kissed her again.

“You need to call me, if anything happens, I will come running to you,” she nodded in my embrace. she took my hand, which was on her cheeks to her stomach, the bump, I could feel it “baby’s happy mingyu, so don’t worry too much”

“your due date is this week, and I’ve concert for two days this week, I won’t be able to take care of you” I was feeling sorry towards her, because of the concert, I have to go back to dorm, because of the tight schedule and since last two weeks I could barely be with her, thanks to my sister, who was here and my mum will be coming here tomorrow. During these weeks I couldn’t be with her, I can’t do anything because of the tight schedule and she understands it. I want to give her all the love, and happiness and of course to our precious baby.

They never shout like this. I drank water and got up, “what happened myungho” I was about to walk out of the room, and felt a tight hug. I was surprised for a second, what happened to him.

“Where is your phone?” he released me and asked me, “I don’t know, what’s wrong??” I panicked, I had no idea what’s going on, everyone in the room got tensed and Myungho was not saying a single thing to me. I started searching for my phone, “call me anyone,” “I am trying, and I think it’s on silent or DND mingyu” Woozi hyung said, I was about to throw my hands, everyone started searching for my phone. “Mingyu calm down” I heard Shua hyung, “I AM TRYING”

“Mingyu hyung your phone was in the bag” Dino, handed me the phone, I unlocked it quickly. I saw 10 missed calls from my sister, 5 from my mum and 15 missed calls from Emmi. I was getting tense, I have no idea, I walked towards Myungho, “why were you searching for me?” and showed him my phone

“CONGRATULATIONS MINGYU, YOU’RE A DAD” I froze, the moment I heard his voice, I couldn’t heard anything else, I felt like I was dreaming. “your sister called me from Emmi’s phone, since you weren’t picking up the call, she called me just before we did our ending-ment and I was trying to tell you since then but being the big boy you’re, god”

“OF COURSE, WHY WOULD I LIE IDIOT” he laughed and I hugged him tight, everyone in my room, congratulated me. “Mingyu go, and check on them, we will go and meet you two, wait not two anymore, your family consists of three members right now, so we will go and meet you three soon, send the name of the hospital in the group” Seungcheol said, I nodded and called my sister’s number. She picked up after two rings

I held Myungho’s shoulders, and started shaking him, “are you telling me the truth??”

“Send me the name of the hospital I’m coming” I cut her off, and looked at the members “I am going guys” I took my bag

“Mingyu” Dokyeom called me, I looked back at him, he threw a t-shirt at me, “change into this in the car and meet them, they definitely don’t want to smell your sweat” everyone started laughing, I took the shirt and I started running out of the room

“sent, you check and come fast, your wife is missing you way too much ” I nodded and hung up. I told my manager, and he told me, he will drop me.

I got into the car, and showed the address to my manager, I quickly changed my tee to the one Dokyeom gave. I can’t stay still; I feel so happy. I looked at my lockscreen, it was our picture, Emi and me, I can’t believe a new member will be joining us, from today. I want to see the little baby, I wonder how would I feel to hold the baby in my arms.

After a good twenty minutes, our manager stopped the car, “Mingyu we are here”

“Thankyou so much, and please don’t wait for me. I need to go now thankyou hyung” I got out of the car, and went inside the hospital running. I wore the mask and ran towards the reception. “Mrs Kim Emmi”

“just a second sir” she paused for a second, “ward no 505, fourth floor” and then she looked at me, probably she recognized me, “congratulations sir” and smiled at me. “thankyou”

I went to the elevator and I couldn’t wait to reach fourth floor. The elevator door opened and ran out of it, I was checking the numbers one after one. Then I saw 503, I slowed down my pace and walked ahead, 504, and then I saw the name below the 505 ‘kim emmi’

I opened the door and removed the mask from my face. I saw Emmi, holding a baby, mum, sister and doctor. I walked towards the doctor, “Congratulations Mingyu, you’ve a baby daughter now and both of them are safe.” He patted my shoulder, I didn’t realize my tears were falling. “Now please excuse me” and the doctor walked away, “we will be outside, so take your time” I heard my sister and then they left.

“Mingyu….” I heard the soft lovely voice calling out my name, I walked to her, there see was on the bed, sitting and holding the our baby daughter. I wiped my tears, “Mingyu… you are a dad now” I kissed her forehead and closed my eyes. I sat on the stool, near her. “She’s so pretty” I looked at her, “I am so proud of you Emmi, thankyou Emmi, for everything, I love you” I saw her getting teary, and my tears were threating to fall. I told myself I won’t cry but, how could not I? my whole universe is infront of my eyes, right now.

“What should we name her, she have your eyes, and smile, mingyu”

“Scarlet, we can call her Scarlet, looking at her, she gives me joy and reminds of passion and courage. I want to call her Scarlet” I told her, Emmi kissed her, “okay Scarlet, daddy named you” Scarlet giggled at her, I couldn’t be happier.

“Mingyu, try and hold her. She missed you” Emmi started crying, “Shhh, love don’t cry” I wiped her tears. I tired taking Scarlet from her embrace, carefully. “aww come to daddy, love” and held her in my embrace. she looked so pretty and soft, “she’s so pretty Emmi, just like you” I looked at her.

Author’s note: it’s my first time writing changkun’s one shot, yes, he finally made me write because the amount of changkyun I’m consuming every day is insane, really. And I can’t believe I wrote his fluff, I was wondering how did it turn out, hope anyone reading this would like it, happy reading:)

We were sitting on my bed; I was sitting on the corner of my bed and he was in the middle of the bed. I was holding his hand and he was holding mine with a tight grip. He was holding me tight probably because he’s scared, I will fall off from the bed since I was literally on the corner of my bed. I was trying to click his picture from there in my phone. The hand, I was holding was stretched out and another hand was gripping my phone, I was so focused on the phone’s camera because I was trying to click his picture without any filter and he was bare faced. Once I clicked and he heard the sound; he pulled me towards him, making me shove the phone on his face. The way he pulled me, it caught me off guard, I am somehow glad he couldn’t hear my heart beat, which was beating like crazy. The proximity kills me at times, because my heart doesn’t know how to stop reacting from this close proximity. I looked at him, retracting from the position which we were in earlier, he was still holding my hand, “you look so freaking good and handsome even though you’re 4 years older than me hump!” I meant it, he looked so good like so fine in bare face. Sometimes I look at him and think, how is he even older than me? he is just so good looking, I feel like I don’t appreciate him enough.

He was laughing, and his cute dimples were visible, one day I wish I could actually dive into his dimples, but I am keeping these fantasies to me because I shouldn’t let these feelings grow any deeper, he is my neighbour Changkyun who happened to be my crush and then he is the idol I.M for the world “and look at me” I told him, with my sulky face, his face changed from a smiling one to an unreadable face. He was staring at me, I took this as a chance and went to the different side of the bed to click his picture from a different angel, he probably caught it and he was covering his face with the other hand because he was still holding me with one hand.

“See you look so good, no doubt your fans love you and are head over heels for you” and before I could say anything more to him, he pulled me again and this time he wrapped his hands on me, his chin was on my shoulder. I was too shocked to react, anything. I could feel my heartbeat and his as well, basically mine was beating faster than his, which was very expected because of the proximity.

His lips were near my ears and he said “you look pretty as well and I am glad no one claimed you yet, because” afraid that I would fall because of him, my other hand made its way to his waist and I wrapped my hands around his waist, his lips touched my ears, my skin “I want you as mine”

A shiver ran down my spine, I couldn’t think of anything else for a moment. Thank god my face was on his chest and he couldn’t look at me, my face was red, because of the blush and I hate the fact blush is always noticeable on my face.

The urge to fight back or ask him why was he flirting with me like this, he should know that he is not allowed to do this with me, because my heart can’t take it. My heart just responds to everything he does.

I couldn’t believe what he asked me, “you don’t believe me?” his words were telling my mind a thing and my heart other thing, how badly I wanted to believe him and wanted to escape right now, I couldn’t face him, “you should’ve known by this time… because I… love.. it… when… you….” he trailed off, our cheeks touched, I could feel him turning his face and his lips were just few centimeters away from my cheeks, to have a contact.

I would die for this, my heart was beating so fast, having a crush on him, was so dangerous. As if he just doesn’t kill me with his voice and his dimples. I felt a slight brush of his lips on my cheeks and I heard my mum’s voice. I got a chance to escape because if I stayed here a single second more with him my heart would go crazy and I wouldn’t have any control over myself and I would end up kissing him even before he says anything to me.

“Yah, mum came let me go I'm hungry” and I pushed him, went away. I left him on my bed, I wanted to run away but I couldn’t because mom might see me like this, all red and might ask. No one knows about my crush and the deep feelings I’m having for Changkyun. I went out of my room as normally as I could. He was coming after me, I went to kitchen and he followed me. “Mum” she looked at me and then she spotted him.

“Ah, Changkyun is here as well? Did you bring her home?” we were out for a small gathering with friends and he took me because he said he wanted me to come, and since I was bored at home, I accompanied him also because he came back home after a long time and I wanted to see him.

“Yes, I brought her back home, she was bored there” I shot him a look, it was him who looked bored so I told him, let’s go back home and he suggested he would stay with me, until my mum comes back home.

I hit him on his arm, “YAH”

“WHAT?” he eyed me, “go back to her room, I’ll bring fruits for you guys and Changkyun you came home after a long time, don’t you miss me or her?” my eyes widen the moment my mum mentioned me, why would she say that, “MUM when did I-

“I missed you, and I missed her a little more this time and it’s been a long time since I last visited.” he should stop saying stuffs like this because my heart can’t take more.

“We are going back to my room mum” and I walked towards my room, the moment we entered our room, he closed the door behind me, and held my hand, I didn’t look back at him, not yet.

He pulled me in his embrace, he hugged me from back, and slowly my mind understood what was he doing, he was back hugging me, his arms around my waist, holding me with delicacy. My breathing stopped; I couldn’t react.

“Stop here for a minute” I nodded, without knowing what to do next, I turned to look at him after few seconds passed. His eyes looked at mine, way too intensely, I was lost in his eyes, “I didn’t lie when I said I missed you a little more this time” his hands trailed up to hold my cheeks, his fingers were caressing my cheeks, “really” his eyes softened, “I missed you, what about you, didn’t you miss me?”

Before I could reply him, with ‘I did, I missed you, as if missing wasn’t enough, I just wanted you to come back home, just to see me, I wanted to see you, infornt of me’. His lips touched mine, my eyes closed as if this felt like a dream, his lips were soft, softer than a feather. His other hand went to my waist and pulled me closer, my hands were resting on his chest, after few seconds he pulled himself back.

He was looking at me, his hands were resting on my cheeks, they were holding me, his touch was so soft, I forgot to speak and breath. I took a deep breath and told me, what I wanted to tell him, “I missed you, more than you could miss me, I wanted to hear your voice, I wanted to see you infront of me, just me, I wanted you to come back home and see me, even if it meant for a second, I just wanted to…” I was startled by his sudden move, he turned me, and my back touched the wall of my room, I was about to continue, and he kissed me again, this kiss was different, from the earlier, one. This was more like he was claiming me, the way he told me he would claim me. He stopped kissing me and said “you’ve no idea how much you drive me insane.” He was holding my chin.

“I didn’t lie when I said I wanted you as mine, because I want you to be just mine and waited to know you more, so here I am.” I was so taken aback from his sudden confession; my mind went blank when he kissed me again.

“Noor, Noor, wake up” I felt Jeonghan’s fingers tracing my face, I opened my eyes slowly. I looked at the beautiful pair of eyes, “meri jaan” these two words oh god.

“What’s the time?” I asked still in a sleepy voice, his fingers were tracing my cheeks. “8:30 am” my eyes opened instantly, on realization. We need to leave by 9 am for our work respectively; I was about to wake up hurriedly “why didn’t you wake me up early Jeonghan? We’re going to be late, oh god”

“Noor” he caged me, “Jeonghan…”

“Aaj Eid hai, did you forget meri jaan. It’s a holiday” how could I forget about today, I sighed. I’ve been so busy with work lately, I forgot about Eid. “Eid Mubarak meri jaan” he tugged my hair behind my ears and smiled. The smile which reminds me I’m home, and he is my home.

“Eid Mubarak” he pulled me closer, my head was on his chest. “I need to get up Hannie and help maa in preparing everything.”

“You’re not working today, anymore. Enjoy Eid with resting today” he looked at me and I was looking at him. “You were so busy that you even forgot about Eid today Noor, how is that fair? That’s why go on rest mood and just enjoy Eid with us. Okay?” I nodded and he kissed my forehead.

I don’t remember for how long we cuddled and I got up from the bed once we heard the knock on our bedroom room. Jeonghan went to open the door and I went to take a shower. I was sure it was maa, probably came to wake us up for breakfast. I don’t remember sleeping past 8 am ever since I started working and specially after getting married. So, today waking up at almost 9 am was more than I could ever ask for, I actually needed this sleep and rest.

I wore a cream colour kurti and patiyala, I was searching for the dupatta but I couldn’t find it. I felt Jeonghan walking towards me, “are you searching for your dupatta again?” he can read me so smoothly. I nodded without looking back at him. I felt he came closer to me, his breaths were hitting me, I saw him taking out my dupatta from the upper self, I wondered when did I keep it there.

I turned to look at him, he was holding my dupatta, “yeh lo tumhara dupatta” I took it from him, “I don’t remember keeping it there” I whispered but he definitely heard it, “but I remember keeping it there.” I was looking at down then looked at him. He came closer and trapped me between his arms and wardrobe, “Jeonghan?”

“Haan meri jaan” my heart skipped beats because of him and his words. He leaned towards me, I almost stopped breathing and closed my eyes; I felt his breaths hitting my face and suddenly I felt a kiss on my cheeks and his fingers pinched my nose. “It’s too early for anything Noor” I opened my eyes instantly. He was giving me his famous teasing look with a smirk and a laugh. He teased me again.

I lightly pushed him, and put the dupatta on my shoulder, “You are so annoying, I’m going downstairs” and I heard him laugh.

After having breakfast, I asked maa if I could help her today and she insisted me to rest up today but I wanted to make, kheer for everyone and she finally gave up.

After making kheer for everyone, maa suggested me to apply mehendi. I was about to say no and help her in making dishes but she just insisted and I couldn’t say no to her. She even asked Nishi, my sister-in-law to apply it on me.

After sitting almost, for forty-five minutes, I was done. “and you’re done” she smiled at me. “thank you” she just gave me a look “I don’t take thank you from my best bhabi” I wish my hands were not filed with mehendi fully or else I would've given her a hug. A tight hug which she deserves.

“I lowkey want to see the reaction of Jeonghan when he will see your mehendi” I looked at her, “Why so?”

“Ask him to check your mehendi once dried up and everything” I was about to say something but I saw Jeonghan standing and leaning on the door. He smirked at me, and said “meri jaan” and I can never get it wrong, never ever. I was so flustered and he was so satisfied with it, his face said it all.

“Bhabi, you should go and rest up in your bedroom while wating for this to dry. You’ve a holiday anyway” I diverted my attention back to Nishi

“But”

“No buts, you work way too much and ask bhaiya to keep you company, he is just too jobless and wouldn’t mind to keep you company” she laughed “look at him, he can’t even take his eyes off you right now.” I looked at him and he was just smiling at us. “Sometimes I wonder how does he even work, like you know missing you during his work and I’ve never seen him so lovesick, the way he is for you. Honestly one day I thought he lost his mind when I saw him giggling at his phone and it turned out it was a video of you petting a kitten. He is such a lovesick”

“Stop Nishi” I was getting embarrassed.

“Sach me, aapko pata bhi hai, kitne der se dekh rahe the aapko, usnki jaan jo ho aap” I gave her a look again.

“Acha chalo, you’re done now and it looks like he is waiting for you, now go” I got up and walked towards the door, Jeonghan left the moment I got up from the sofa.

I walked towards our bedroom, I’ve no work anyways so I could just rest today. I entered and almost jumped in surprise, when I heard the voice “Looked like you enjoy Nishi’s company more than me, is that true meri jaan?” I almost got a heart attack.

“Jeonghan!” I looked at him, he was looking sulky, “You almost scared me.” I walked inside and heard him close the door. I didn’t look back and went to sit on the bed.

“You didn’t answer my question Noor” he came to sit beside me, this side of Jeonghan is so rare. “Well… you could tell your sister… to be less adorable and fun around me” I smiled at him

“Am I not fun?”

“Well not more than Ni-” and I couldn’t complete this because he kissed. He was holding my arms carefully, and kissed me more.

He was pressing his lips softly but more on my lips, his lips touched my lips for a brief moment which was meant for teasing, I know him very well, before he could tease me more, he pulled himself back, the feeling of his lips on mine made me miss and crave for more. I was about to pout but he spoke.

“You talk too much at times.” I was in shock, “You are the one who asked!”

“Yes yes I know still you were about to say you like Nishi more.” I was about to say something but he didn’t give me the chance to say anything and put a small gulab jamun inside my mouth, I couldn’t help but to enjoy the taste. I loved it, “You liked it?” I nodded, and he came closer to take a bite of the gulab jamun. I was in shock, he pressed his lips against mine again and this time, one of his hand was on my waist, supporting me from falling backwards on bed. He was the only support I had or else I would've lost balance because of his sudden kisses. This kiss was more like he was telling me, something. He looked satisfied and pulled back. “Gulab jamun is tasty, glad maa decided to make it today.” I was looking at him, and his thumb was caressing my lips, the urge to kiss him was more, why would he tease him. I was looking at his lips, probably unable to say anything more, “Jeonghan” my voice came out low and hoarsh, and in a blink he’s kissing me. Once, twice, until I’ve had a taste and a realization, that I’ll never have enough. He’s holding my waist and my arm, careful about the mehendi, which I almost forgot because of him. Suddenly he’s kissing me harder, harder like it’s a need right now. He kissed me until we are out of breath.

“Your lips taste sweet. Wish I could taste you more just like this.”

“I need to tell Seungcheol to stop giving you flirting ideas like this”

“Shua, it’s all done and now we just need to go pick this sulky baby. Jeonghan is with him, right?” I turned to look at Joshua who was checking the decorations. “Yes, you need to go.”

“I still wonder how the ac and the heater broke in Jeonghan’s apartment suddenly and that also today? God really planned something for these two today” Luna laughed all of a sudden at my words, “You are right, this trio is inseparable” She looked at Shua, and Shua just smiled.

“But thanks to them, we met each other right?” both me and Luna nodded at Tia’s words. I remember how Jeonghan was excited and nervous to break the news of him dating Luna, his co-worker. But by the time I started dating Seungcheol, Shua was already in a relationship with Tia.

“Tia saw more bromance than us” I looked at her, “enough talking about us, we need to check everything and it’s almost time, go get ready Nishi, you need to pick him up” I checked the cake one more time, I was really nervous with baking this cake, I can trust Luna in decorating the cake with cherries and icing because she bakes a lot and I love her baking.

“Go Nishi, you can’t be late” Luna came and gave me a hug, the bonding I formed over with her is something, makes me so happy here. I smiled at them and went to change clothes, I brought. I walked towards the mirror after changing into the dress, I applied nude makeup and fixed my hair, I just kept it neutral and natural, he shouldn’t know that we are having any birthday party for him. it’s supposed to be a surprise party.

I walked down and saw three of them laughing at something, they turned to look at me. “oh woah, so domestic” I looked at Tia shyly, “please Tia”

“what? You look pretty.” I went to stand infront of her. Luna came and held my shoulders, “good luck with bringing him home and I just talked to Jeonghan, he said he is waiting for you because everything is settled up” I nodded.

“I’m leaving then” I waved at them and went towards my car.

I started driving towards Jeonghan’s house. On the way, I was wondering what do I tell him? just tell him that I was passing by or just tell him I came because I missed him? how do I tell him without ruining, I need Jeonghan’s help. I need to tell him, I was up for some work and just returning and was on the way to buy something, making an excuse is driving me crazy, really.

I was trying to calm myself down, I called up Jeonghan, without second thought. he picked up in the first ring , “what excuse do I use? To bring you both home together?”

“I can tell him I want a sleepover at his house?”

“Yoon Jeonghan, god.”

“I know I am”

“You and your god complex, anyways you need to handle that. I will reach in few minutes. Once you see my car just come down and he can come after you”

“Okay” and he hung up.

After almost fifteen minutes, I pulled infront of Jeonghan’s apartment. I looked at the clock it showed me 11:20 pm. I sighed in relief. I dialed Seungcheol’s number.

“Don’t you want to go home or what? Or just stay with Jeonghan whole day.”

“Where are you?”

“wait for you, come out please” I sounded so normal,

“What are you doing here?” and here he goes with asking me, “and that also after 11pm” right this is kind of my first time picking him up at late night, it’s usually him but it’s fine to exchange roles for a day. “I’m just doing what you do. You didn’t take your car, you texted me this morning when we talked. So I thought I could give you a ride on the way back home.”

“Coming my love” I hung up the moment he said that word, god, my heart can never stop doing summersault whenever he calls me my love. This word have such an huge impact on me, he will never know it; he can never understand how insane my heart gets when he calls me ‘my love’

“So are you ready?” I almost got an heartattack the moment Jeonghan shut the door, “Jeonghan?!”

“You scared me”

“Sorry Nishi, I didn’t mean to. I wanted to get inside the car before him.”

“Still, gosh”

“what did you tell him?” he asked me, “I told him I came to pick me up, since I am on my way to home.”

“Good, he was being lowkey sulky today since he thinks we are not celebrating his birthday”

“That’s something……..” I trailed off, “nice” and smiled at him. we high-fived each other and just laughed at eachother, Seungcheol was taking a bit of time, more like he was locking the door and everything, according to Jeonghan, he just gave him this work because he wanted to talk to me before Seungcheol gets in the car. I told him others prepared everything.

“But did your heater and ac got fixed?” I asked him, “yes, Seungcheol was complaining about it when he entered my house, like the cold air hit him like what” he started laughing about it.

I saw the door open, “Hey”

“Hi” and he sat and closed the door, “you came before me” Jeonghan just showed his smiled.

“How are you? I didn’t see you for days and who knew I would be picking you up while being on the way home”

“Awww, meri jaan” I abruptly stopped everything, I thought I was hearing things, ‘meri jaan?’ Seungcheol would never. I eyes widen in surprise, I felt like screaming, “He said meri jaan” I looked at Jeonghan and then Seungcheol back and forth, my mind couldn’t process anything, “Seungcheol!!!” I called out his name because I couldn’t hold back anymore, “he said meri jaan” Jeonghan repeated again, I couldn't believe my ears,

“what?”

“he said meri Jaan” this was Jeonghan repeating for the third time, and I was trying to get my shit together, he just can’t trigger me off with one word and wrap me around his fingers like this.

“What did you say?” I looked at him

“meri jaan” his eyes oh jesus christ, his tiny voice would make me lose my mind.

“meri jaan?” I repeated myself he nodded, “yes meri jaan” he should know these two hindi words can make anyone lose their mind and specially mine because yes, that’s my language and how am I supposed to deal with it. It’s his birthday in half an hour or something and he is making me lose my mind.

“Where would you learn that from?” Jeonghan asked Seungcheol, leaving my dumbfold,

“Where would you learnt that from??” I was in shock

“what do you mean, she calls me everytime?”

“No, I never called you meri jaan before” I just called him once, “It was just once!!” I felt so exposed, “She loves these words” I wanted to hide somewhere, he was exposing me infront of Jeonghan .

“But-But” I wanted to defend myself, he should know that him calling me, ‘meri jaan’ is something very, my mind just blank for a moment when he gave me a quick kiss all of a sudden. “You two, please let’s go home” I heard Jeonghan, this would count as his favorite act, because he never kissed me infornt of his friends till now. I was way too flustered to even start the engine, “Nishi, we need to go back home” I nodded, “Ye-yes”

I started driving towards his home, I checked the time, it was 11:28pm I took a deep breath before driving and I didn’t forget to text Joshua about it. I wanted to change the topic, “Jeonghan are you staying overnight with him today as well?”

“yes, I like his house” we burst out laughing, I was being very conscious the whole time, I was driving because the way he was stealing glances at me wasn’t helping me to concentrate, “were you at work?” I nodded, “I had overtime today” and the truth is I took a half day at work for him.

I stopped the car at the traffic, I looked at him once, he was talking to Jeonghan, the way he looks like my daylight, he lights up everything around me, he just made everything so better for me.

Seungcheol entering my life was the most life changing thing that happened to me. I never knew I could fall in love again like this and so beautifully with a person who would be my constant like this. His smiles are the reason I smile now, his words always find ways to me, to make me feel better when I am having a bad day. He just knows how I find home in him.

I started driving again and I made it by 11:50pm, we still have 10 minutes, before I let him inside.

“It’s late meri jaan” I turned my head to look at him, how can he say those words casually? “Seungcheol” I looked at him, I can’t explain how it alters my brain chemistry, I love it when he calls me meri jaan, I might get addicted at this point, and he is just…. Being adorable with that, “meri jaan” here he goes again….

“It’s late, are you sure you will drive back home right now? Why don’t you stay overnight?”

“Seungcheol, she can go back home, she can drive.” Jeonghan replied instead of me, I almost apologized Seungcheol for lying, how can he be so adorable. “Jeonghan, I can’t let her drive way back home at almost midnight, it’s not safe” he genuinely looked concerned which I felt he was; he was always this concerned for me about everything, for him my safety and comfort came first, never have I ever been treated like this.

“It’s okay cheol, I can manage” I just knew Jeonghan was trying to hold back his words and laugh.

“Or do you want me to drive you back? you already worked overtime today. I can drop you off”

“And then what about you? Who will drop you off?”

“I can stay with you” he smiled and gave me a quick peck.

“Seungcheol, enough let’s go inside” If Jeonghan didn’t speak I would've been lost in him, how can a human being be like this, “oh reminds me I need water, can I get some water then I’ll leave” he pouted, “sure, why not. Let’s go” I looked at the time, it was 11:58pm; didn’t know time flew that fast, we just barely exchanged words.

I parked my car and walked with him, he held my hands and I just smiled at him. I love the way we are, we just need to hold our hands to understand eachother.

Jeonghan stopped right before, “open the door Seungcheol rather than smiling at your girlfriend”

“Yoon Jeonghan you’re so annoying, you won’t even let me look at my Nishi, oof” The moment he opened the door, the clock struck at twelve.

“SURPRISE~” Joshua’s voiced echoed, I felt even his neighbors could hear Joshua’s voice

Seungcheol stopped where he was, “Happy birthday” me and Jeonghan said in unison.

“Let’s go inside” I held his hand, he looked so happy.

Luna switched on the lights, and Jeonghan gave her a hug.

“Guys, I didn’t expect… like thankyou so much”

“You deserve it all” Jeonghan said and gave him a hug, Joshua joined soon after that. Tia came to stand beside me, “they look so happy together” I nodded.

“OKAY YOU NEED TO CUT THE CAKE SEUNGCHEOL, NISHI BAKED IT” I looked at Luna, she ran to bring the cake.

The cake was fully decorated and it looked so cute, I loved the way Luna decorated it.

I lit up the candles, “time to make a wish” he closed his eyes and blew the candles.

Everyone looked so happy and the moment I saw him smiling at everyone, it felt like my life flashed right Infront of me, after he cut the cake and everyone ate it, although they urged me to the first one to eat, he fed others and he looked so happy.

“I’ll be back tomorrow, I love you” and she kissed him. He looked happy and so was she, “I’ll wait for you, too bad I don’t have a night shift tonight and you’re leaving. Bed would be cold without you” Seungcheol was caging her and he didn’t want her to leave. There was a hidden sadness in her face, but she looked at him with eyes full of love. “I’ll be back tomorrow Cheol, I promise I’ll be back tomorrow morning before you leave for work” and she smiled at him.

“text me or call me once you reach, okay?” he was always protective of her, but why wouldn’t he be, after all she was his wife. “I will now get some sleep” She kissed him and left.

She was driving her car and she was thinking about Seungcheol, she looked at the time, it was 08:08 pm exactly, Seungcheol’s birthday date. There was a faint smile on her face but she focused on the road.

“Would you like an upgradation from my girlfriend to my wife?” the way Seungcheol was looking at her while giving the bouquet, no words could describe how he was feeling. She was overwhelmed, but she wanted to be herself and be with him. Seungcheol was her home, her home when there was no one for her.

The moment Seungcheol knelt down, and showed her the ring, “I want you to be my wife, I want to spend my whole life with you, will you marry me?” marriage for Sihyun was something she always dreamed of but marrying the person she loves the most and actually wants to spend her whole life was something she just dreamt of or maybe something like a fever dream but happening infront of her, she was unable to say a single word, tears were threatening to fall, “Ye-Yes” it was her broken voice, Seungcheol heard her voice, and smiled at her, once he took her hand and made her wear the ring, he got up and cupped her face. “I love you so much Sihyun, I love you so much, I can’t live without you”

“I love you too Seungcheol” and he kissed her softly; he would always kiss her softly, for him, she is someone who deserves all the happiness and everything and of course him.

He suddenly lifted her up and twirled her around, “I am so happy Sihyun” he could only hear her laughs and for her, he was her whole world.

She parked the car, and took out her bag and went towards the apartment. Once she was inside, she went towards the lift and pressed the top floor button, she looked at her watch, and in a fraction of a second she was at the top floor.

She went towards the door and pressed the doorbell. “You’re here” Sihyun smiled at Hanuel, “Come inside”

Sihyun stepped inside, and took off her heels then went straight towards the living room. “Want to eat something?” Sihyun shook her head, she was in a conflict in her mind, and in deep thoughts about Seungcheol, “No, I already had dinner with Seungcheol”

“I see, how is he doing?”

“He is good.” Haneul sat facing her, “Is something bothering you?”

Sihyun wasn’t a big opener about her problems, the only person she trusted a lot was Seungcheol, beside that sharing her problems with anyone else felt like a burden to her at times but then she could always use the company of Hanuel and Seungmin. “I don’t know” and she sighed, Hanuel looked at her, Sihyun was always lost in deep thoughts nowadays, it’s been months but she wasn’t opening up, maybe Seungmin knew about it.

“Sihyun if you don’t say what’s the matt-”

“I think Seungcheol was doubting me somewhere but why would he?”

“He’s doubting you?” Sihyun nodded, “Did he drop any hints?” Sihyun nodded. “And these things are making me doubt him, I wonder what is he doing and what not, I never felt like this all these eight years, everything was going smoothly but why now? when everything is going so smoothly. Seungcheol was that person in my life, who taught me how to trust but now? if one single thing happens and falls apart, it’s all over.”

“Don’t worry too much, he won’t know and you’ve a reason Sihyun. You’re not hurting him or something, it’s you. You love him, you can never wish for his downfall.”

“But Hanuel if what I am thinking is true then why would he lie to me, I need to know him, his intentions, I can’t take any betrayal after all these years I spent with him”

“You’re overthinking Sihyun, Seungcheol is not that kind of guy, who would lie to you for so long.”

“But Seungmin? He can never be wrong, and he always tells me the things he found out, if what me and Seungmin are thinking are true then I would be making myself a fool infront of my whole team and family.”

“Don’t overthink too much, Sihyun. Be the way you are.” Sihyun sighed and looked at the time, today it took her almost two hours to come here. “I need to change and then we will leave. Inform Seungmin to come here, and I will go in his car, I can’t risk taking my car this time not after Seungcheol’s car passed through the same place and we were almost about to cross eachother’s path that night”

“Okay” saying that Sihyun took her bag and went to Hanuel’s bedroom to change her clothes.

Once she was inside, she started changing her clothes, a black dress, a black leather jacket, black boots, and a small pendent. She did her makeup lightly and looked at the mirror. “Sihyun, what are you doing?” “This is all for the people who left you alone”

The look was giving her an intimidating vibe; which was enough to let people know this is how a leader should behave. Once she was done with her hair, tying it up in a low ponytail, she came out of the room only to see Seungmin sitting on the couch.

“Are you ready for tonight?” Seungmin asked and she nodded, “Always have to be ready. Is everyone ready?” he nodded, “Everything’s ready and everyone is on their way. And everything is inside my car.”

“Perfect. We need to get this either way.”

“Don’t worry, everything will go your way, and I don’t think they will find us today as well, we’ve been eluding them till now without any problem and today’s a big day for us.”

“Seungmin, we can’t overlook the fact that Seungcheol’s car passed through the same place that night, and last time, it was barely three minutes difference and I cannot risk it again.”

“But you said he is staying home, right?” Seungmin looked serious, Seungcheol was one reason everyone was stressed, “Yes”

“So, don’t worry Sihyun, nothing will go wrong and it’s our day today.” Sihyun was stressed but she couldn’t show it infront of Haneul. She smiled at her, “Yes, let’s get going. We need to reach by midnight and since it will take time, let’s go now.”

They were ready and went down to the basement, Sihyun got inside Seungmin’s car and Hanuel took hers. “Can I drive Seungmin?”

“Do you want to blow off some steam tonight?” Sihyun smiled, Seungmin being her right-handed man, always knew, how driving was her way to release stress and it’s rare for them to go hit the racing circuit after she got married, most of the time spending time with Seungcheol would take away her stress or at times it would be Seungcheol who would make love and Sihyun could never deny him because he always gave her the best cuddles after that and the sleep would be the best one.

“Once we are done with the deal, I’ll let you drive” and Seungmin started the car, “since you’re going back to your husband’s arms tomorrow morning. I know you, can’t even stay away from him Sihyun; you love him so much and it shows it on your face.”

“But sometimes I feel this is wrong, carrying out the whole gang and then going back to his arms as if nothing happened. Sometimes I feel like I will pay the price for being the leader and being happy.”

“You’re doing this for your people Sihyun, never blame yourself and you have every right to be happy. You chose Seungcheol because you love him but you didn’t abandon us so doesn’t matter. You are happy.”

“You know, yesterday we went to meet Jeonghan and his wife, and when I saw Seungcheol holding their little angel in his arms, I realized how badly I want Seungcheol to be the father of our child.” Seungmin stopped the car in the traffic and looked at Sihyun, Sihyun looked like she was somewhere in her own world. The love for Seungcheol was something that always made her weak whenever it came to work, her work was dangerous, and her life was dangerous but living with Seungcheol she was always afraid, of leaving him and what’s coming for her next. She can’t risk everything but she is risking everything because of him after all.

They entered their house and Seungcheol locked the door, “Seungcheol” Sihyun’s voice was barely audible, she was about to go upstairs to their bedroom but she stopped but still didn’t face Seungcheol, she was hesitating, she never felt like this. Till date she always felt having kids is something she can never think about, being a mother and the thoughts of parenting always haunted her and specially after thinking how she saw her family getting killed infront of her eyes, when she was barely nine years. She was reminded of what is her work and whatever is she going to say had the power to flip her whole world upside down. Because one mistake from her side and it’s all over.

She felt Seungcheol’s steps approaching her, soon he wrapped his arms around her waist, “What happened my love?” Sihyun was deep in her thoughts, how would Seungcheol react and what if the past that happened with her repeats? Seungcheol knew she lost her family when she was nine years old but he doesn’t know why. Seungcheol knew her but at the same time he didn’t. “Sihyun” his voice was low, and he rested his head on her head, Sihyun turned around to look at him, “Cheol”

“Yes my love?” and that was it. ‘my love’

“A thought crossed my mind today when you were holding Jeonghan and Luna’s lil angel Mirae, I wondered how would you look holding a lil angel who looked like you, your eyes, your dimples, your smile” a smile spread on Sihyun’s face, “Even I want our little angel to look like you.” Sihyun’s eyes widened in the realization of what he had said, “What do you-” Before she could say anything, he kissed her. Seungcheol always wanted Sihyun’s approval in this matter, he always dreamt of holding their baby that’s why he waited till Sihyun said it. He had faith in Sihyun she would be a good mother and they would make nice parents.

“Looks like my baby is finally ready to take the next step” he looked at her and said, Sihyun was unable to say anything, “I was waiting for you to say” Sihyun realized how much Seungcheol respected her. “I love you so much” and she kissed him, and pulled herself back. Seungcheol held Sihyun shoulder and his other hand was holding her cheeks; he leaned closer and Sihyun could see what he was going to do next. He kissed her and her hands traveled from his shoulder to his neck, Seungcheol pulled her closer and she parted, “I love you too” and kissed her again. Seungcheol parted after they were out of breath and he picked her up in his arms “Let’s make you feel how much I love you” Sihyun smiled at him and buried her head in his embrace

“What did he say?” She looked at Seungmin, who was looking at her, “Even I want our little angel to look like you”

“Isn’t that good?” Seungmin’s voice was low, “You know what happened with my family and why, I am scared Seungmin, I am scared of what’s coming, and having a baby, I can, I want to with Seungcheol, I want to have our own small little family but the fear is still there. And I don’t want my baby anywhere near my work. I don’t want my baby to find out who I am which is impossible Seungmin and then there are chances of everyone getting targeted.” Sihyun sighed

“Don’t stress too much about it Sihyun” Sihyun smiled at Seungmin.

Soon, they reached and Seungmin parked the car. “Everything’s at the back seat” Sihyun nodded and went to check everything at the back seat. “Are the guns loaded?” Seungmin nodded, Sihyun took her gun and kept it with her. “Let’s try not to kill anyone tonight. I don’t want anyone interrupting our deal” Seungmin nodded and they saw Hanuel’s car parking. Hanuel came out of her car with her gun in her hand. Seungmin was holding a briefcase and they all went inside the warehouse.

“Everyone’s ready with everything?” the whole gang was there and they nodded, “Yes ma’am” There was the seat of Sihyun, she was walking gracefully with Seungmin, her right-handed man. Hanuel stepped back and stayed as the incharge of everyone. “Everyone’s safety should be the priority along with our deal, okay?”

“Yes ma’am”

“When are they coming Hanuel?” Sihyun took a seat and asked her, “They are almost here.”

“Good” Once they are in their work mood, there’s no friendship, it’s work relationship. That’s how Sihyun taught herself to handle the whole mafia gangs, she was the leader. Her identity was hidden, she was living a normal life without exposing her identity of mafia leader. She was the leader of Mafia and she handled everything with Seungmin.

“They’re here.” Hanuel said.

Sihyun crossed her legs and nodded, “Let the boss in and everyone stay outside. You too Hanuel.”

“But-” Hanuel was surprised because Sihyun never did this, “I said, OUT EVERYONE.”

“Okay ma’am” Seungmin was with Sihyun, “What’s wrong?”

“I want this deal to be just between us, no interruption Seungmin, I do not want anyone else inside and we can’t let our guards down, no matter what”

Once everyone was outside, it was just Sihyun and Seungmin; the other gang leader entered the warehouse, he was with his man. “Looks like you wanted only me tonight?” Sihyun wasn’t liking the way this man was talking to her, being the leader and a woman she knew, how she could be treated by other leaders but Seungmin was always there by her side, and never let these men get her. Last time a man talked down with Sihyun, Seungmin lost his clam but Sihyun killed him, that’s when there was almost a war because Sihyun killed an underboss.

“Did you forget how I killed him and do you want to be the next guy, who wants to get killed by my precious gun?” there was a smirk on her face.

The guy had his hands up, “Okay, I surrender, I am here for money and you’re here for your weapons, once the deal is done, it’s over”

“Good, come and take a seat.” Sihyun smiled. The man came and took a seat opposite to her, it was the leader of Kwon gang. One of the top gangs and also a ruthless one.

Once they showed each other, whatever they need, Sihyun checked the weapons and Seungmin showed the money. “Looks like this weapon deal is done” the guy had a smirk, and Sihyun smiled, “Yes” she took a pause and leaned towards him, “But always remember not to mess up with my people, I won’t hesitate to kill you and your members next time I see them killing any of my man or trying to hack our systems” Sihyun looked intensely at him, “Okay?”

“Well, you can’t order around like that Kim Sihyun” she had a smirk, “Of course I can, because all of my men are outside, and your people are already taken down. That’s what you pay for trying to hack our system and killing two of my men”

“Are you out of your mind?” she smiled at him, “I wish I was, but that’s how you handle double-faced people. Now get up and walk away, and remember not to mess up with me” he got up and at the same time, Sihyun and Seungmin heard Hanuel’s voice in their in-ear “Seungcheol and a team is almost here, get out of this place with Sihyun. RIGHT NOW.”

“Leave, they are here.” By the time, Sihyun’s voice was heard, everything turned upside down in a second, “Do not wait for me, leave. LEAVE HANUEL, TAKE EVERYONE AWAY I WANT EVERYONE TO BE SAFE.” Sihyun threw her in-ear and looked at Seungmin, “You take everything and leave first”

“No”

“I said, LEAVE.”

“I REFUSE KIM SIHYUN”

“THIS IS AN ORDER” By the time she could say one more word, she heard the door open and she pushed Seungmin, “If you ever cared about me, then leave” and that was it, Seungmin had no choice, and Sihyun didn’t know what was she going to do?

Surrender to Seungcheol? When she doesn’t even know why is he here?

To prove herself right that Seungcheol was lying to her and is an undercover agent?

That Seungcheol was the following her?

“Hands up” and then she heard her husband’s voice. And Seungmin couldn’t leave because of his loyalty, no matter how much Sihyun pushed him away. She could recognize his footsteps, and they were getting closer.

She saw him holding a gun and she was standing there face to face with him. Never in her nightmare, she was prepared for a day like this, standing face to face with Seungcheol and him pointing a gun towards her.

“What are you doing here? You shouldn’t have been here.” He screamed, the anger was visible on his face, he was pointing his gun toward her and in a second, everyone was pointing a gun towards her, “Lower your guns, not a single bullet should be fired and no one should hurt her or I will shoot you myself” his voice was stern, Sihyun rarely saw Seungcheol being pissed but today was something else, it was a blow-off for both of them. No one dared to speak a single word, “But sir-”

“STAND DOWN I SAID” Seungcheol’s voice almost made her flinch, but her expression stayed the same.

“So? Sihyun, how long have you been lying to me about everything?” he asked, his voice was almost unrecognizable to himself, she couldn’t answer and it was very evident that Seungcheol was pissed. She didn’t have any answer, “You also lied to me Seungcheol” and then she looked at him, directly in his eyes. No one had any answer, both were doing their own job, and falling in love was something that was never in their plan and how worse it could be that, the case Seungcheol was assigned and Sihyun was the mastermind and leader of everything. It was her job to protect her team and familia but it was his job to take her down, how could the universe be so cruel?

The pain and hurt were visible in his eyes, he wanted to prove himself wrong tonight, it’s been more than years since Seungcheol was assigned this thing, and he was an undercover agent. He was feeling cheated on his trust, he almost had a fight with his vice-team leader about Sihyun being the leader and he said he would prove them wrong tonight that’s why he lied to Sihyun about going out.

But here he is, standing face to face gun pointed towards his own wife, who was a ruthless gang leader. How could he do this to his own wife?

“You shouldn’t have been here SIHYUN” his screams weren’t helping him at all. There was just silence, no one spoke a single word.

“You shouldn’t have been here not after all this” Seungcheol’s mind wasn't working at all, looking at his wife as the person who was behind all this, she was the prime suspect but he was in denial and now that she is standing infront of him, he was more than shocked and angry.

“Seungcheol, remember I love you but for once in my life, I am going to choose my job” and she took out her loaded gun and pointed at him. Sihyun had no choice. “Let him leave and I will be the one here” Seungcheol, never said no to his wife, for him she was always the priority but he couldn’t even let his emotions take over him right now, he was on his duty. “If I let him go then what are you going to do Sihyun?” if her eyes could tell him how hurt she was when she heard her own name, she wasn’t used to this Seungcheol. “I am the one, you need.” She took a pause and looked at Seungmin, “Let him go.”

“Bring him” Another officer went to bring Seungmin, he was holding Seungmin. “Leave him” Seungcheol agreed and Seungmin had to walk away from the warehouse, Seungcheol knew what he was doing, he was trying to make Sihyun vulnerable and he had his team all over this place, once Seungmin stepped out of this warehouse, he is going to be caught by the officers and he would be taken away from this place.

“Now, put that gun down. You cannot leave this place” she shook her head, “I won’t and mind it, by the time you take me down, everyone would be gone, I saved my members already.” Sihyun’s eyes never looked away from Seungcheol’s eyes, there was a tension only they knew. “I gave you my heart already and there’s nothing left to give you anymore. My love, my heart and my whole life, it’s all yours. The day I realised I was in love, I knew what I was signing up for, the love the betrayal. I kept myself prepared for the day, maybe someone will ask me to surrender for being the leader but, never in my wildest nightmare I imagined you, that you would be here as the officer and telling me to put my gun down?”

“Why would you lie about yourself Seungcheol?” she was hurt, he knew she was hurt. It was his mission, he couldn’t even share this even after getting married, he wanted this mission to be over so that he could tell Sihyun and be happy. Seungcheol was feeling betrayed but on the other hand Sihyun was also feeling betrayed, both were on their duty and the crime of being in love and married to eachother was enough to tear them apart. “I love you Seungcheol and I can give up on my life for you but I can’t betray my family and knowing how they weren’t even my blood but someone I could call my family. And after knowing how much me and my people had to go through, I can’t step back. Do you want to know who made me like this?” Sihyun’s eyes were speaking, Sihyun never opened up totally with her past and Seungcheol was always waiting for her to say it without forcing her. “You and your organization” she had a tight smile “They didn’t take a single step when our family was killed. My own family died infront of my eyes, I never told you, how but my family was killed infront of my eyes when I was just nine years. And the people you’re working with, you call them justice?” she let out a smirk, remembering how she still gets the nightmare of her family getting killed infront of her, it was another reason why she afraid to be with Seungcheol. “It turned a blind eye and that was it.”

“I was alone until I found you.” all the memories of Seungcheol felt like a flashback to her.

“Seungcheol” she took a deep breath, she wanted to be calm and say everything that’s inside her but her heart was beating like crazy because she was nervous. “Your smile heals me. You make me happy and I admire you a lot. You helped me to find a home, a home I can always return back to. I want to give you all the love, more than you deserve. I call you, ‘My Seungcheol’ because you are everything to me. Love is not just a word I can use to describe you, you are a feeling, an emotion for me, you always give me a heart-warming feeling that no one else can ever give to me. You are my own Seungcheol. I will never keep a secret from you and will stay with you in all your happiness and sadness. I am ready to share my life with you and take one more step towards us. I love you too”

Once the exchange of rings was over, the priest then asked, “Do you Choi Seungcheol take Kim Sihyun, to be your lawfully wedded wife, to share your life openly, standing with her in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in hardship and in ease to cherish and love forever more?” her eyes were fixed on Seungcheol, and she heard “I Do” it felt like her whole world stopped for him. He smiled at her, his dimples. Another reason she never wanted to let go of him.

The priest turned to Sihyun, “Do you Kim Sihyun take Choi Seungcheol, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to share your life openly, standing with her in sickness and in health, in joy and in sorrow, in hardship and in ease to cherish and love forever more?” She took a deep breath and replied, “I do”

“You may now kiss your Bride”

The kiss was one overwhelming one and it had so many emotions in them. She couldn’t believe she made this decision, this was the second decision she made for herself. She was happy, she could feel the happiness, just for today she wanted to be the girl she wanted to be, forgetting about her duties as a leader. She wanted to be just ‘Seungcheol’s Wife’

“Why would you do this Sihyun? Why? Was everything a lie?” Seungcheol couldn’t process anything, everything Sihyun told him yesterday about have a little one and being a happy family was coming back to him as a flashback.

“You’re my happiness and my home but seems like at the end of the day you would also leave me. You knew everything about me Seungcheol except one fact, I am the leader you’ve been looking for since years, even before we met, if only I knew this is how it was going to end then I wouldn’t have met you” by this time, Sihyun was tearing up, it reminded of all the best memories Seungcheol gave her. How her life was beautiful after meeting him, “I love you but I hate your organization and now that I know you’re the one who was handling my case, I can’t even hate you. It all fell down.”

“I always had a motto, and that was to ‘die with dignity’” and with that the grip around her gun got tighter, “Thankyou Seungcheol for all these amazing seven years, I love you” and she fired.

The moment the bullet was fired, Seungcheol moved from his place but his bullet hit her right there and against his will he realized he shot her.

“Sihyun” was the last thing she heard before falling into the floor.

And the very next day, it was Seungcheol who received the award standing infront of the whole crowd, he was holding the trophy. He gave his speech and only he knew how much it was hurting. Only he knew, how he saw his wife dying, the tears that were threatening to fall, didn’t deserve to fall. It was the pain of losing his wife, his support system, his love, and the person he trusted the most, but then what is even trust?

He was the one who shot his wife and here he is being awarded for that.

All the dreams died down the moment she took her last breath infront of him saying she still loved him even after this.
