I couldn’t help but look back at this post-credit scene of season 3. And look at what Ben is wearing, and with the context we have of season 4 with the timetravelling subway trains, Ben is wearing a suit which resembles the commission suits…
Also with the scene in the teaser where it looks like Ben is in Vietnam, it could plause the theory where they’re correcting the timeline, just as the commission does. AGHH!!!
I am probably REACHING but it’s fascinating me, a navy suit isn’t an uncommon fashion statement but in the context of the show?????
Maybe this is where it originates, because five was the original founder.

Anyone else find it mildly annoying when fics refer to the five’s powers as like “teleportation” “teleports” or “porting”
Like it's not a problem and no hate to all the fic writers that do this, it's just very... it removes the immersion yknow? cos the show explicitly doesn’t use that word, like it makes a point of only every saying blinking or jumping or time travel.
You can get a little creative without changing the vibe altogether but i feel like “teleport” is not in their vocabulary
I think if they had called Five’s powers "teleportation" it would've made the show have a more distant, less character oriented, and more comic book oriented vibe. cos their powers are supposed to be unique to them, not a trope (even if they sometimes are tropey). It’s partially a tone thing, and partially a worldbuilding thing: the siblings probably named their powers as kids before things like teleportation were even a word they knew how to pronounce, hence blink (bc they blink and he’s gone) and jump (bc Five consistently has to walk into his powers rather than simply disappear).
This also applies to Allison’s powers being called rumours and not mind control.

The way I’m going to become so insufferable when The umbrella academy season 4 comes out. Like I already have a plan of rewatching an episode a day before August 8th. Which will definitely bring the obsession back at full force. But imagine how bad it will be when I get new content. Anyone who gets to hear my yaps will hate me. Like I’ve only gotten a teaser and some posters, and I feel the hyperfixation creeping back in.

S4 of the umbrella academy would have been so much better if they scrapped everything and just had the entire plot be Ben convincing the others to scam Sir Reginald for all he’s worth via crypto

Ben's ghost outfit and the outfit he wears when he died are completely different
