Bakugou Angst - Tumblr Posts
Hello hello! I saw that you're opening requests so here i am! May i have a fic of Katsuki where he found the reader who's usually is a tough nut to crack, is 99% of the time never really cry and acts like a crackhead suddenly starts crying after one of Katsuki's empty insults he usually threw at her? And it turns out that she was very overwhelmed about the amount of work, deadlines, pressure and pretty much problems twirling around her to the point where one insult that she KNOWS he didn't even mean it can throw her over the edge? And Katsuki just went '?!?!?!' and didn't know what to do? Kinda feeling pretty much like this rn lmao, and kinda want comfort especially if it's from the boom boom man.
Anyways- i absolutely adore your work!
•words and promises•
A/N: this request was really cute and so relatable cuz ever since the schools started again, they've been going so hard on us I don't even have the time to sleep sometimes (but I have the time to write- ironic huh) I hope you're feeling better now, tho! Thank you so much for the request, I hope this was comforting rather than triggering cuz bakugou is mean here lmao

"And please hand the summary in by Friday. Todoroki-kun, could you make sure to collect them from everyone and hand them to me?" Midnight asked with a bright smile, leaving the room when Todoroki nodded, everyone else groaning in frustration.
"She wants us to read a whole goddamn book and summarize it in a week?" Kaminari cried out, voicing all of your inner thoughts.
"You, know, Kaminari-kun, it's not entirely impossible to do that." Iida interrupted, fixing his glasses. It would've been a bit more convincing if he didn't have purple bags under his eyes and looked like he was about to pass out.
"Maybe It wouldn't have been impossible if we didn't have 20 other summaries and essays to write!" Mina shot back, and Iida had no answers to that.
You stood silent, but that was because you felt like you couldn't breathe. Everything they were saying was true, this was all too much, and you had no idea how to overcome it. Not even aware you zoned out, you were awoken by your state by a hard snap of a finger in front of your eyes.
"Watcha looking at?" The owner of the fingers asked, and despite his hard voice, his ruby red eyes had a playful glint to them.
"I was just worried if you're smart enough to actually finish an assignment." You told mockingly, and he scoffed.
"Look at the one talking, you were the one who came to my door last night, begging me to help you with the science homework."
"I didn't beg!" You protested. "I just asked you if you did it and you offered to help me!"
"I offered to help just because I pitied you." He muttered, his harsh words causing the rest of the class to gasp and look at you, half expecting you to get mad and scream at him, even though this scene was happening more often than they would like to admit.
These little fights you had with Bakugou was now almost a part of their day. It was an odd relationship you had, always attacking each other, sometimes maybe taking it a bit far, but both of you always knew it wasn't coming from the heart.
When you stood silent, sending a mocking laugh his way, and kept scrolling through Instagram, he was a little surprised.
You were never silent, you always, always had something to say back. In fact, that was one of the things he loved- hated about you. Whatever he told you, you had something clever or dumb to say, and you were so brutally blunt when he fought with you, sometimes he found himself laughing at the insults you threw at him.
Still, his pride stopped him from asking if something was wrong, on the contrary, he was happy to finally have some quiet time, he told himself. You could feel his eyes on you as you thoughtlessly scrolled through your Instagram feed, but you didn't have it in you to argue, you were too tired for that.
Bakugou scoffed after looking at you for a while, still expecting you to poke fun at him, but when you sat still, he gritted his teeth and sat back at his place.
■■■
Bakugou never thought he would miss arguing with you.
He noticed you were acting a bit odd, not once trying to get in a fight with him, not even a snarky comment coming from your way. It was weird to see you so quiet, and it was getting on his nerves.
You weren't entirely silent, but whenever he tried to lul you into fighting with him, you just looked at him with a blank smile and went on doing whatever it was you were doing. And Bakugou was not someone you could just ignore.
Your friends had started to catch up with Bakugou's growing frustration, his now harder comments, and how you simply ignored them. They thought you were tired of him (really, who could judge you? Everyone knew how extra Bakugou sometimes could be), and didn't think of it as much, except one particular red-head.
Kirishima noticed how you clenched your teeth, how your hands turned into fists, your knuckles turning white whenever you heard a comment about you. He was probably the only one that actually understood the odd relationship between you and Bakugou, so Kirishima was more than aware that something was troubling you. He also knew better than just simply asking you, well aware you would never accept that there was, in fact, something bothering you.
You had never been the type to talk about your feelings easily, always trying to fix things by yourself, and taking pride by doing things alone. Your stubborn nature sometimes reminded him too much of a certain ashy blonde.
"Hey, Y/N." He approached you at a break, noticing the dark circles under your eyes. "Oh, hey, Kiri-kun, what's up?" You asked with a slightly forced smile when you felt his eyes examining you.
"Nothing much, we're gonna meet up in Mina's dorm tonight, you know, to partly study and talk. You've been kinda distant lately, you wanna come?" You bit your lip thoughtfully. You wanted to go, but there was so much to do and so little time that you felt like you didn't even have time to sleep, let alone spend time with your friends.
"I- I don't know." You muttered with an apologetic smile. "I don't think I can, I really should work on the homework."
"Oh come on," He insisted. "You don't have to stay long, and it's nice to take a break sometime, you know."
Taking a break. Something you've been putting off doing for a long time.
"You've been pushing yourself quite a lot, you know. Don't think we missed how tired and stressed you've been lately."
"I'm not-" You tried to deny, but sighed when he looked like he wouldn't believe whatever you told him. "Okay, I'll be there." You told him, and he sent you a cheeky smile.
"Just make sure we have enough coffee."
"I personally will take care of that." He winked, and you giggled, shaking your head side to side. You didn't even notice the ruby eyes watching you two as you laughed, a dreadful feeling forming in the pit of Bakugou's stomach since it was someone else who made you laugh. Not him. All he could do was to mess with you.
The frustration he felt reflected on his words, too. Sure, Bakugou was never nice, but over the past years you had spent with him, he had learned to be, well, not so aggressive. But as the day went by, he just kept attacking you in a way that made you feel trapped.
And even though you never noticed, the way you seemed to ignore him whenever he tried to get a reaction from you just made everything worse, causing Bakugou to get even braver with his attempts to fight.
And he was aware of it, too. Bakugou could feel his heart beating faster in his chest whenever he told you something, a fear in him that told him he just went too far this time, but nonetheless, he still didn't even get one look his way.
"Miss Y/N? Can you answer this?" You heard Aizawa calling your name, making you jump in your seat. You weren't even aware that you had zoned out. Again. "I- I'm sorry." You muttered after a few seconds, looking down at your hands and hiding your face.
A mocking laugh came from Bakugou's way, and you clenched your teeth, hoping he would just let it go with a scoff, but your hopes died when Aizawa quirked a brow.
"Bakugou? Have something to say?" He asked, and Bakugou scoffed. "How can you be so-" He started to say but stopped mid-sentence when you didn't even turn his way, playing with the pen that was in front of you, instead, as if you were telling him just your pen was more interesting then whatever he had to say.
"Whatever." He muttered, not bothering to finish the remark he was previously saying.
■■■
"I have to pull like a week of full nighters to get half of these done!" Mina groaned eyeing the books and papers that were towering on her desk, denying to fit into her bag.
"And Aizawa-sensei even talked to them to go easy on us." Ochako exclaimed nervously. Even Yaoyorozu, probably the only one that would actually be able to finish all the assignments, had bags under her eyes, either from stress or the lack of sleep.
You entered the room, only to find a bag full of canned coffee and Kirishima's wide smile, greeting you. "I kept my promise, you see." He told you as you settled on the floor across him. "And I kept mine." You answered with a tired smile. It was an unnecessary attempt to hide how tired you were at this point.
"Hey, Y/N, we were wondering if you were okay? You seem to be a little down lately and-" Ochako asked with a nervous smile, which you didn't even let her finish. Maybe it was rude what you did, but you didn't want to hear the end of that sentence.
"Oh I'm perfectly fine." You lied through your teeth. "Maybe just a little stressed, but really nothing important."
"Are you sure?" Mina quirked a brow at you, but before you could answer, everyone looked at the door when they heard a knock, and you took a deep breath of relief. Looking around you, everyone was here, and you weren't sure who it could be at the door-
"Bakugou, you showed up!" Mina cheered when she saw the grumpy blond leaning to the door.
"Tch," he scoffed, his eyes meeting yours for a second, the look in them sending shivers down your spine. "Only because you wouldn't get out of my hair if I didn't."
"It always works, though." She told him with a sly smile, causing his eyes to narrow in a threatening way. His gaze wandered around the room, eyes meeting yours for a second time that night, you noticed his hands turning into tight fists when you looked away.
It wasn't your intention to ignore him the way you did, you just didn't have the strength to fight back. You liked fighting with Bakugou, but lately, you felt like you would break if anyone so much as touched you, and Bakugou's words were -even though it was unintentional- often harder than a slap across your face.
He didn't think of it as something important, no one did, since you were the only one that could handle Bakugou and fight back. You never held your tongue, never quivered before him, never looked sad when he said something that would make anyone else break down crying.
No one ever knew, it did sadden you. Especially lately, with all the stress and pressure on you, it did make you feel like crying, but of course, you weren't going to admit to that.
So, you hid it. From everyone, from your friends, form Aizawa sensei and family. No one needed to know how everything was pressuring you in a way that the only thing you could feel was being trapped until you just... sorted things out.
"Hey, you okay?" Kirishima nudged you with his leg, waking you up from your dark thoughts. Not even aware you zoned out, your breath stuck in your chest, you gaped at him blankly for a second.
"Y-yeah." You answered with a smile, and you heard him sigh.
"Yeah, okay." He finally told you. "Just- just know you can talk to me when you don't feel good, 'kay? You know I'm always here to listen."
You did, you really did, but you just wanted to sort things out yourself, without anyone else, to prove to yourself that you were strong enough.
You nodded and reached for a can of coffee, hiding your watering eyes from him.
"Oh, since you're here!" You heard Mina shuffle some paper on her desk. "Could you help me with this math question? I've been working on it for a while now, but I just couldn't do it." She leaned your way, handing you the paper.
"Oh-" You bit your lip, feeling oddly guilty. "I'm sorry Mina, I couldn't do it either."
"Oh, that's okay, we'll just ask Bakugou, then." She shrugged thoughtlessly and turned to the blond that was watching your every move, looking awfully similar to a wolf watching his prey. His eyes narrowed when you followed your friend and got closer to him, not saying a word. The meek look in your eyes oddly disturbed him, even he wasn't sure why seeing you like this angered him, but it did. He could feel how your nervousness grew as you walked towards him, too.
"What? Too dumb to do it yourself?" He raised one brow, praying to get an annoying answer like you always did, but you just looked away, instead.
"Hey, what the fuck is wrong with you? Are you that dumb that you can't even-"
"Bakugou, that's enough." Kirishima interrupted, noticing your watering eyes, how you nervously chewed on your lip, but Bakugou wasn't listening to him. He was too focused on trying to get a reaction out of you, not even aware of anything else.
"What- did I offend the princess? Is that all you can do? Just stand there all pretty, not able to even defend yourself that people around you has to?" Bakugou blurted out, words coming out of his mouth in an angry fit. The second he said them, his eyes widened, realizing he went too far this time.
Too far.
He saw how you flinched at his words, and that's when you chose to look him in the eyes. Your lashes wet with tears you were desperately trying to hold back, one or two already sliding down your cheek. Only then did he notice how tense you were, and not only then, but almost all the time these last few days.
"I-" You tried to speak, but you choked on your words, your heart beating so loudly in your chest, and in your ears, you knew you had to get away from him.
Not even bothering to excuse yourself, you left the room in a rush, leaving ten gaping people after you.
"Wh-what the fuck?" Bakugou muttered, his eyes still fixed on where you were standing seconds ago.
"Are you fucking dumb?" Kirishima exclaimed suddenly. His eyes wide with disbelief, yeah, Bakugou was mean and he did go overboard sometimes, but this was something else.
"What the fuck were you thinking?" He kept pestering his dumbfounded friend. "What were you thinking as you said all those things to her? Hah?"
"I wasn't-"
"You weren't thinking, that's the problem! What's going on with you lately? How can you lash out at her so?!" Bakugou stood quiet, the rest of the room not even daring to make a sound.
"Shut up, shitty hair." Bakugou muttered as he walked towards the door.
"Where are you going?" Ochako asked meekly, gulping loudly when Bakugou sent a glare her way and exited without even answering her question.
■■■
It wasn't hard to find you.
Maybe it was because he knew you too well, even more than he was even aware, or maybe it was because you weren't as complicated as you thought you were.
The night was chilly, the stars so bright, he was certain you were out in the garden. He spotted you on the bench, feeling his heart clenching with the sight of your face hidden in your hands, shoulders shaking with sobs.
"Y/N." He called out, his voice making you jump in your seat. You sprinted to your legs immediately, wiping the tears with the back of your hand, though, not doing a good job since your face was still damp with tears.
"Bakugou- wh-what are you doing here?" You asked, taking a step back when he got closer to you. He noticed this, a dreadful feeling forming in the pit of his stomach.
"I'm here to..." Why was he here? Certainly not to apologize. No, Bakugou never apologized.
Or so you thought.
"I'm here cause I'm- sorry." He finally managed to say, almost inaudibly. "For the things I said back in there- and other times, too."
He watched as you bit your lip, a confused and hurt look in your eyes, and he wanted to kick himself for causing you to be like this. "Why-" You finally managed to say after a few seconds, "why did you say all that? Why did you-"
"I'm sorry." He repeated, and this time you didn't step back when he walked towards you. So close that you could feel his caramel scent enveloping you. "I'm really sorry."
"I was- I was being dumb, I didn't mean any of that, and I'm really, really sorry." He whispered, and before he even knew what happened, you had your arms wrapped around him. It caught him by surprise, but he instantly closed his arms around you, too, holding you so tightly, his body so warm and so safe, you found yourself crying once again.
"Shh," he whispered to your hair, his hand caressing your hair in a soothing way. "It's okay." He didn't really know what was okay, but he felt like you needed to hear those words.
And you did.
Your sobbed in his arms, your face pressed to that place in between his shoulder and neck as his hand stroking your hair. And you didn't know what it was, but after a while that felt like you were never going to stop crying, you felt your sobs dying slowly, until all that was left was your occasional sighs.
Bakugou had never seen you like this, never so vulnerable, never so open. But the soft smile on his face told you that he didnt hate it. And you didn't exactly hate it either, to finally be able to at least show a fraction of what you were feeling to anyone.
"I'm sorry." You muttered. "I got your shirt wet."
"Dumbass, why are you apologizing-" his eyes widened when he realized he insulted you again. "I didn't mean-"
"No it's okay." You giggled. "I still want to have those- whatever it is we have. Let's not change anything, I don't want you to act as if I'm fragile glass."
"Y-yeah." He answered, his chest finally feeling lighter since he saw you laugh. "Yeah, okay."
His eyes looked at your laughing face one more time. "Promise."
Even though you weren't sure why exactly he promised, you had a feeling it was to never make you cry again.
Change
a/n: this is a lil brain dump bcs I've been really inactive lately, sorry!! I wrote it in one sitting and I dint really know how I feel about it but yeah
warnings: toxic relationship i think? But its resolved in the end. Angst, miscommunication, anger management issues, conflict, break-up, but as I said, resolved in the end.

Katsuki Bakugou.
Many might think he's an open book, a simple, hotheaded boy with anger management issues. He doesn't know any feelings other than anger. He can't understand others' emotions, doesn't care.
They were right about him being bad at controlling his emotions, but everything else was false. Bakugou had never been a simple person, and it was rare he met someone who truly understood him. You, for instance, were the only one that had come as close to understanding him, but no one could ever understand someone fully, could they?
Still, ever since he had met you, Bakugou was trying to change, or he liked to think he did. You did, too.
You tried to ignore those times it became apparent that he couldn't, didn't, wouldn't. As much as Bakugou tried to prove to you that he was giving it his best to try and change, there were times that proved it incompetent, not enough, and even a lie.
But you always did your best to forget, suppress the thoughts. It was near impossible not to when Bakugou came back to you, an apology hanging from his lips -although never spoken-, warm hands pulling you to him for a hug.
He's trying to change, you repeat to yourself. He's trying to change.
You think of the last fight you had and shiver as he lies on you, eyes droopy with sleep, nuzzling his face to your neck as you rub soothing circles on his back. The way his back rises and falls steadily makes you smile.
It was gradually getting worse, the fights.
As the months passed and exams approached, Bakugou became even more jittery. You felt your heart sink as you remembered his spitting words, "you're not even in the hero course! How would you fucking know how I feel?" But you did. You knew your boyfriend far too well, and even though you weren't experiencing it firsthand, you could see how stressful it was for him.
"Stop fucking babying me!" He had shouted when you tried to approach him, to get him to calm down. "Can't you see I'm trying to change? I'm doing all of this for you, and you keep asking for more- I-I'm doing it for you, okay? I'm trying to become better, so stop asking for more!"
You weren't asking for more, that, you wanted to say. You were trying to-to help.
"I don't want you to do this for me, if all the reason you're changing is for me, stop! I want you to change for yourself, not for me!"
That was unfair, how he was looking at you like he hated you, like he wanted you to disappear.
It's okay, you tell yourself. Katsu's with me now, in my arms, calm, promised me he would try to get better.
And he did, too. He always did. After a fight, Bakugou became the kindest person you knew, treating you like fragile glass, showing you love in his way. And it always led you to think. This is it. No need to worry anymore, you tell yourself when he kisses you softly, oh, so- so softly that you're sure there's no way this man that's holding you like this would ever hurt you ever again. Never.
That never is never longer than a few days, though.
In a few days' time, he- Katsuki forgets. The spite comes back, the snarky comments fitted in his sentences, the slight anger in his eyes. Why is he so angry? That, you can never tell. He's furious with you all the time, even when he himself doesn't know it.
"Katsuki?" You whisper meekly, and his eyes flutter sleepily. "Do you love me?"
Yes, he wants to say, I love you more than I love myself. But it's a soft grunt you get as an answer.
It's okay, though, since you understand it well.
~
"Tell that extra to bring my shit back." It's a gruff sentence voiced with a fury that tears you away from your thoughts.
For a second, your heart leaps. It's Katsuki! But the feeling sinks quickly. "It's Bakugou to you." You remember when he told you that, you remember too well the way he spitted the words as if he had spitted them on your face, a lump appearing in your throat quickly. He's not talking to you, rather about you, and it stings even more. You're the extra now, an extra that has his belongings in their room and nothing else, and he can't even tell you to bring them himself. Kirishima does it for him.
A half a bottle of his perfume that was never successful at suppressing his sweet smell.
A sweatshirt of his that he knew was your favorite.
A pair of socks, pencils and some other pieces of clothing, the usual.
A full, newly-bought bottle of his shampoo.
For some reason, that last one hurts more than anything else. It's not the shampoo itself, rather the fact that it's new, that Bakugou bought it just a few days ago when breaking up was never a thought.
Why did you break-up? It's very complicated. So complicated that you don't know it yourself. But you do know that he's angrier than ever, with you even more, for some fucking reason. He can't stand the sight of you, you know, he knows, too.
Bakugou himself doesn't know why he's so angry at you. He was the one who broke up, so what gives him the right to feel like this? Why do his hands clench into fists with the sight of you? His heart beating twice as fast with fury, head dizzy, his teeth clench, he can't breathe, a tightness heavying on his chest. With anger, he repeats. All these feelings are because he's so angry with you.
The day you knock on his door, a soft thump audible from the other side of the door, Bakugou knows you brought back the box of his belongings, and he wants nothing more than to open the door and pull you in. But what is he going to do after that? He doesn't know. All he does know is that the lump in the back of his throat is because he's holding back angry shouts. His eyes are stinging with tears that are caused by anger. There is a feeling boiling in the pit of his stomach that makes him feel sick, but it must be fury.
Why did you leave it to the door? Couldn't you have waited for him to open it and look at you for once? Do you hate him that much?
You have the right, too.
~
Bakugou hates to see you cry.
It's so annoying, he decides one day, as he catches a glimpse of you crying in your friend's arms, hugging them, telling them how much you missed Bakugou as they rub circles on your back.
"He never deserved you, anyway." He hears them say. It makes you cry even more.
Seeing you cry always makes him feel angry, Bakugou decides.
~
The way he discovers the reason for his anger is in a rather sick way.
All it takes is for him to see you laugh.
It's spring, the winter you broke up is over, the feelings aren't, though.
You're laughing, and you look so pretty under the tree, body swiftly shaking with laughter that doesn't seem to end.
Bakugou knows you like spring, and he notices it's been more than a winter since he last saw you laughing like this. Even before you broke up, he realizes you hadn't been laughing as you did now. That realization stings. You always laughed, smiled when you were with him, but it had a tinge of bitterness that never seemed to go away.
For the first time, it doesn't anger him, but it hurts.
Somewhere inside, Bakugou had always been able to sense your bitter melancholy. It's a feeling you felt even when you were the happiest, but he just hadn't realized it. Like pieces of a puzzle, every other realization starts dawning on him too.
He was angry at you because you always made him feel like he could never make you happy. All he could do was make you cry, you cried and cried, whenever you were with him, and it made him feel so frustrated- he hated it, he hated, hatedhatedhatedhatesyou.
But it wasn't you, it was never you Bakugou was angry with, but it was Bakugou himself.
Bakugou hates himself for never being able to make you happy.
Bakugou was never angry at you, he realizes. He was heartbroken. All those times he thought it was fury he felt when he saw you-
People think Bakugou doesn't feel anything other than anger.
They're wrong.
Bakugou feels many other things than anger, but he doesn't know how to differentiate them.
~
The next time you meet, there are two changes you realize about each other.
It's a cold night, another sleepless one you let yourself feel everything you suppress during the day. You don't expect to hear footsteps approaching you, it's the dead of the night and very cold, but you freeze when you take note of the sweet smell the sound brought with it.
You can't speak, do anything other than raising your eyes that are wet with tears to see if it really is the owner of your heart.
"We need to talk."
You don't want to, but you missed his voice more than you thought, that you're unable to leave.
But it's the moment your eyes meet with his blood-red ones that you realize why he's here. For the first time in a long while, there isn't a trace of anger in Bakugou's eyes.
He looks sorry, and that night is the first time you hear him apologize to you.
Despite how much he wishes it was, this apology isn't the last.
Bakugou is flawed. He will and does make you cry, maybe more than anyone else. He knows it, and you do too. But love is a strange thing, and it took him years to realize that you would rather cry your heart out than be without him.
So this time, when he takes you between his arms and lets you cry, two things have changed since the last time you both were in this position.
1: You noticed that this wasn't going to be the last time you cried because of Bakugou.
Throughout your relationship, you hoped, prayed that fight you had was going to stay the last, it never was. This way of thinking was flawed, damaging the relationship as much as the fights did. Bakugou could feel your growing sadness, dissatisfaction, fear that you were going to fight at every smallest disagreement you had, and they did nothing but make him angry, turning the conflict into a full-blown fight.
2: Bakugou wants to change. And not for you, but himself.
He wants to be a better person. He always did, but it was only because you asked him to. He wanted to be better for you, and it was the only thing he could think of whenever you told him he had to change. Its pressuring, made him insecure, made him feel like anything he did was never enough. But this time, right then as he envelopes you and pulls you into his embrace, Bakugou wants to be a better person. Not for you, not for anyone else. He just wants to be better, and he will start here.

*~~~~*~~~~~~*~~~~~*~~~~~*
You tried to look away from the mirror, from your reflection that reminded you of everything that was going to happen just a moment later.
You focused on the wallpaper - blue hues were painted into the shape of waves that looked as if they crashed here, forever trapped in one moment. You couldn't help but feel the same, trapped in a moment that you couldn't escape.
You took in the view of the creaky old floor with an expensive yet tattered pattern of golden flowers. Your eyes drank in the view of small rays of sunshine that seem to bounce from one place to another.
As much as you wanted to avoid it, your body seemed to betray you as you turned to fully face your reflection. You looked flawless. Although it was a true irony as it was the most miserable day of your life. A most miserable day yet, probably.
The strapless white dress was made from the softest of materials, it reached the floor and resembled dove wings while hugging your figure perfectly. A corset was adjusted to make your waist look impossibly thin but it only made your burning lungs even harder to fill with air.
Lifting your head up, you put two fingers on your tear ducts to try contain tears from spilling and ruining your too flawlessly done makeup.
You didn't want this. Any of this. You didn't ask to be born with a powerful quirk. You didn't ask to marry a man with quirk that was deemed 'compactable' with yours to make perfect, hero worthy babies when combined.
All you ever wanted was to finish U.A with the best grades and then become a hero. To save people, to help those in trouble and to always be an inspiration for heroes yet to be.
You blinked. Then blinked a few more times. Sorrow clouded your mind, making you relive your happiest memories on replay again and again, as if your mind wanted to torment you - to put 'that's what you're losing' right in your fucking face.
You reminisced about your first meeting with a certain blonde-haired boy. You recalled your first date, looked back on the first kiss and awkward first sex. Your searches for an affordable apartment for starting heroes like you two and your late night talks. Everything. Everything was bright and clear in your mind.
You hated them. You hated them for forcing you into this. You were powerful, hell, they wouldn't of been able to make you comply. That's what you thought at first but... when they threatened to hurt Katsuki, everything was done.
All the stubborness, all the mean things you had to say and an offer to shove that proposal up his ass was erased as if it never even crossed your mind.
You could marry a man you didn't love. You could learn to live with the constant dolor of letting go your dreams and your career that had just started. You were fine with leaving your old life behind as long as... as long as he was safe. You loved him so much it hurt sometimes. You loved him so much that you could give up everything for him.
It didn't matter. Not anymore at least. You couldn't change your mind right now. Not when there were only five minutes left until the ceremony started. Five minutes until you stepped out there all dolled up with a fake smile as his companion, waving and smiling to all these people that thought you truly loved the man you were marrying.
Your dress was like dove wings... Ironic how doves are meant to be free, free to go wherever they want. Yet here you were about to be trapped by a fancy ring on your finger and your own words 'I do'.
You counted the minutes. Your heart thumping harder with every tick of the clock, almost as if it was threatening to burst through your ribcage.
When there were only two minutes left and you were struggling to calm yourself, you heard a silent knock on the door.
At first, you thought the knock came from the front door of the room. It could’ve been someone already inviting you to go, but no. It was at the emergency escape door.
You couldn’t even get to the door, almost tripping on your shitty fancy dress on the way when the door burst open and hit the wall.
There he was as real as in your memories - blond hair messy refusing to stay in any other style, his signature skull shirt and black sweats on, stance intimidating, his whole body tense and ruby red eyes radiating nothing else but pure fury. Bakugou fucking Katsuki.
Seeing him made you question your eye sight or even more, sanity.
"Katsuki-" you managed to blurt out, feeling light-headed.
"We're leaving, get out of the stupid dress." he commanded, not explaining anything further, just tossing you a pair of sweats and a hoodie. Your sweats and hoodie.
"What-? Katsu, we can't just do that, I-"
He snickered, looking at the clock then looking back at you.
"You think I'm just going to let you give your life to some shitty extra with a powerful quirk, just because he and your parents want to?" he asked, arms that were in his pockets beginning to shake, his muscular arms tensed. "Over my dead fucking body, and I'm really hard to kill, princess." he managed to make something similar to a smile. "Now hurry, we don't want to cause a scene." With every word of his, you were more and more stunned.
"But... but they're going to hurt you if I don't do this! I would kill myself if anything happened to you because of me!" you said, clenching your clothes to your chest as you tried to keep your tears at bay.
"Deku will become the number 1 hero before they hurt me, babe."
You wanted to believe him. Oh god how you wanted to believe him.
Damn, what made you think he could be defeated at the first place? Who made you so sure that you could just give your life to someone you hated? Not for who they were, but for simply taking the right to make your own decision away from you.
Katsuki's look was quite unreadable. A mix of anger, re-assurance and confidence.
He raised his much bigger hand, taking your own into his to brush your hand lovingly with his thumb.
At that moment, you got all the confidence you wanted. He was your future. He was the one you loved the most and Bakugou was the one that made you braver. The one who made you say,
"Fuck it... Let's go."
His eyes lit up, a cocky smile finding its way to his face as if he knew that this would be your final choice from the start.
You turned, asking him to unzip the shitty, fancy dress but the feeling of his hand on your back almost made you break into sweat. This was wrong.
This was dangerous. You stripped out of the dress, the smooth, expensive material falling to the ground as if was a useless piece of fabric made for cleaning the floor. It felt satisfying as if you had nothing to worry about anymore. As if it was the only burden that kept you from running away from your own wedding.
You sighed, your mind running so wildly in your head almost making it hurt. You knew that this was gonna end up badly but here you were, letting him untie the ribbons of the corset and finally being able to take full breaths while watching him throw it to the other side of the small dressing room.
"These fucking assholes really just made you wear that fucking shit? It looks like it could crush your fucking ribs." he commented, frowning.
Your heart fluttered in your chest, a slight sigh of relief escaping your lips knowing that the corset didn’t make you any more attractive to Bakugou.
You slipped on your sweats before Bakugou made you turn to him, looking you up and down, making your face flush red since you were standing just in your sweats and lacy white bra.
"So you put this fancy shit bra on just for that asshole?" he asked, hues of hurt and jealousy painting his voice a different color than what you were used to. “Were you planning to have sex with him?” he asked, tone as casual as if he was asking what was for dinner tonight. Still, the way his teeth were subtlety clenched made what he was feeling clear.
"Ah, I-"
Warm arms circled around your body, pulling you close against his heaving chest as you could feel the slight tremble of his embrace but didn’t say anything about it, not wanting to make him feel worse than he already felt.
You closed your eyes, wanting to stay like that. Not bothering about the time.
Katsuki littered your jawline with unusually soft kisses, tracing shapes onto the small of your back in calming motions.
His lips trailed down your neck, soft and loving pecks turned into a passion that would definitely leave a mark. You tilted your head back, giving Katsuki better access as you softly caress his hair, tugging it caused him to groan.
When he was so close you could smell the lingering smell of caramel filling all your senses, making him feel so real.
Your breaths were sharp and short and suddenly he bit down, making you gasp but he swallowed all your protests by putting his lips on yours with teeth softly biting your bottom lip, demanding entrance.
You immediately parted your lips, letting his tongue explore your mouth to fill it with the lingering taste of sweet rum he must’ve drank earlier, making your head dizzy.
His hands explored your waist, one going up to caress your clothed breast.
You buried your fingers deeper in his surprisingly soft hair, tugging it, making the kiss even deeper as your tongues were fighting for dominance. Neither of the two wanted to give each other the satisfaction of winning.
The need to breathe was pushed to the back of your mind, afraid that if you let go, everything you had at this moment will shatter. A lingering feeling of irrational fear made you afraid to open your eyes.
Finally, you two parted with string of saliva that connected your lips still it broke. You could almost hear him murmur a quiet ‘i love you’ in his usual gruff voice.
The dream you so desperately held on, the one that felt so real it made your heart throb, was broken by a loud ‘you may now kiss the bride’ from the priest. You could only catch the heartbroken gaze and bittersweet smile of Katsuki as you were kissed by a man you hated and the crowd broke into cheers.
You had the first dance, thanked all the people for congratulating you and cut the cake as you tried to look at your new husband as lovingly as possible. It was partly because of the look you had to keep up, but partly because you thought that if you imagined hard enough, you could almost pretend it was your Katsuki.
Soon you got tired of all the people and told your husband that you needed to get some fresh air.
It was already dark as you closed the door to the hall where the ceremony was held, escaping from everyone with only quieted down music that was the wouldn’t let you forget you about what was still happening inside.
The fact that there were no people out here made you feel lonely as you crept through the garden that was buried in the silent tones of some shitty pop song.
In distance you saw the small light of a lighter flicker and then the most handsome face, recognizable to the point it hurt, lit by a light of a cigarette.
With a few short strides you reached Bakugou. His expression was unreadable, top of his top unbuttoned and tie already untied.
“I thought you wouldn’t come.” you finally said, breaking the unbearable silence that lingered between you.
Katsuki let a line of smoke leave his mouth, looking you straight in the eyes,
“Yeah, I was surprised myself.”
Your gaze was turned downwards, almost in shame. You couldn’t look back into his ruby red eyes without a scorching red pain burning through every nerve of your body.
You didn’t say anything as you wrapped your hands around him, feeling him stiffen in your embrace. It almost made you jump back, your thoughts racing. Maybe he didn’t want to hug you. Maybe he didn’t want to even see you. Maybe-
That’s when he wrapped his arms around you in a protective manner, the smell of caramel with a hint of cigarette smoke taking you away. The feeling made yourself tear up.
Bakugou took a step back as soon as he felt your tears wet his shirt. You quickly tried to wipe every trace of them away, but he took the cigarette out of his mouth, stomping the butt and softly wiping your tears away with his thumb, his expression softening.
“Hey, hey, you okay?” his voice was so unusually soft it made you tear up all over again. You couldn’t answer his question. You were afraid that as soon as you spoke he would disappear all over again.
He softly took your face into his hands, his thumbs stroking the tear stained skin carefully.
“Y/N, please answer me.”
“Before he kissed me... before he kissed me I imagined you... we were kissing and you- you were so real and then-” you managed to whimper out before sobs rocked your whole body. Bakugou took you into his embrace, his arms wrapping around your body, one stroking the small of your back comfortingly. “You dissappeared. You said you’d run away with me and then- then you disappeared.”
Katsuki littered your skin with small kisses, making you wonder if the experience was real this time. It couldn’t be fake this time too, right? Everything felt far too real now, you could even hear the rhythmic sound of his heart thumping as he held you close.
“I’m real and I’m not going anywhere.” he assured, kissing the tip of your icy cold nose as you wrapped your trembling hands around his neck. “You said we wanted to run away in the dream you had, right?”
You managed to nod with the hot breaths of your lover tickling the skin of your neck.
“Well what if I told you that we can make that come true?”
I DON'T
SUM. you had enough of life at home. You leave and suddenly arrive to your manager's house that you always go for when life is a mess for you. Too bad you forgot who her younger brother of 10 years was.

song to listen to : I don’t by Sabrina Claudio
warnings: angst, family issues, cursing, I mean come on its Katsuki...AGED UP PRO HERO KATSUKI YESSSSS
“She didn’t defend me and let grandma call me lazy when I was helping too.”
“Stop being so dramatic oh my god.”
It was chilly tonight, but you didn’t care. You wanted to get away from home so desperately.
It was a stupid argument, but this argument had added on continuously which led to you leaving so abruptly. You’ve bitten your tongue so many times, not wanting to escalate the situation even though you had the right to.
Everyone had always claimed that you could tell them anything, especially your mother, but when you do and you’re vulnerable with her, she always had to say you were dramatic.
Being at your grandmas was your safe place, but whenever you were there with your older sister, it always had its way of making you look bad.
Ever since you were a child, you were compared to her. Like you weren’t as amazing as your older sister.
She cleaned, washed the dishes, swept and mopped at the age of 5. You were three years younger than her, but that was when you were seen as “la floja,”.
The older you had gotten the worse it got.. You both would clean together, do things together, but she always got the credit. Never saying anything to defend you when your family called you useless, the lazy one, the one who never changed.
Today was the day you were done being called lazy, the one who didn’t do anything because she was much bigger than her siblings; which would make sense to your family on why you were deemed lazy.
You knew deeply you weren’t though. You did so much yet no one seemed to notice until you made a simply mistake ONCE.
“It seems even at this age she still doesn’t do anything and leaves it for you still huh?” Your grandma said in her native tongue as she stood next to your older sister as she washed dishes.
You were there before, helping her dry them and put them away. You asked her if that was all and you walked away, but all of a sudden your grandma was there drying new dishes.
You felt your cheeks burn and a lump in your throat the way your grandma talked about you and your sister laughing while agreeing.
“She’s just like your cousin, not doing anything. She’s so lazy she can’t simply dry them.”
You felt so embarrassed and hurt that she’d even compare you to her. The girl who never got off her ass, let her dad spend all his money on stupid things while she had money of her own. The girl who’d smoke weed inside and ended up blaming you for it.
You ignored it, walking away as you sat down on the couch and consulted to your mother to just, listen.
But it had ended with her saying how stupid and dramatic you were being for that, leaving you alone as she spoke with your grandma like nothing. You always felt a favoritism with your family towards your sister. You envied her so much, but you tried to not let it get to you.
Today just wasn’t that day. You refused to speak, until your mom had enough and began to speak rudely to you while your sister was being annoyingly confused why you didn’t speak.
Later that night you waited until everyone was off somewhere else, and that was the moment you left. You simply needed a breather, get away from the family party as you departed from the house.
You didn’t realize just how far you had gotten until you reached your manager’s house.
You and her worked together for years and created an amazing relationship. She was like a mother you wished you had sometimes. You loved your mom, so much, but sometimes she would show her favoritism towards your sister too often.
You’ve been to your managers house many times for her sons’ birthdays, family cookouts, or simply just hanging out.
You paused seeing a rather really expensive car outside her driveway, making you hesitant to knock on the door until the door swung open.
You smiled brightly seeing Keiko awing up at you with a soccer ball in his arm. “Y/N, what are you doing here?” He asked as he opened the door wider and pulling you inside.
Keiko was thirteen, with long blond hair and ruby eyes that look identical to the jewel. He was always infatuated with you, a small childhood crush on you that he had the moment he saw you when he was just a child.
All three of her children adored you, loving your presence all the time and always getting excited when you worked the shift when they’d be hanging with their mom or when you’d pick them up from practice.
The one who always brightened up towards you was the eight month old, always blabbering and wanting you to hold him.
Some see it so weird to have such a close friendship with your manager, but the two of you were so similar there wasn’t a chance in hell you two wouldn’t be friends. It seemed inevitable, even if she was 15 years older than you.
“Hey, ke, is your mom here I saw a car outside I’ve never-…seen before?” Your eyes popped out slightly, your jawing almost dropping seeing the familiar blond in the dining room.
“(Y/N), hey!! What brings you here?” You turned around seeing Kira, your manager smiling at you.
You rubbed your eyes, getting rid of the tears as you smiled back.
“Hey I’m sorry for intruding I was just in the neighborhood and decided to visit. I hope you don’t…mind.” You felt the familiar feeling of being deeply stared at, feeling your heartbeat even faster the longer you felt it.
“No no, never! I thought you were at a party tonight?” She placed the bowl of salad down and smiled, holding her hands out to an empty seat that happened to be where he was.
“I was but I got bored. You know how these parties get sometimes…” it seemed she knew exactly what you meant, frowning as she walked over to you and hugged you tightly.
As you pulled away, you looked back and saw the frown you used to be so familiar with, giving those soft eyes you missed.
Kira grabbed your hand, walking to the living room while her kids whined on why she was taking you away from them.
“What happened?” Her eyes were locked solely on you as you spoke.
You told her everything, feeling your hands shake as you talked. “I’m just so…tired of not being enough for anyone anymore. I just want my family to see me.”
She comforted you, rubbing your cheek as you cried. You asked if you could go in the yard to cool off, and she simply waved you off, to take your time.
You cried, feeling so exhausted while you sat on her swinging chair in her pretty yard. It was extremely pretty during the day but with her fairy lights around the whole yard when it was night time, it looked magical.
You felt a gentle push on the swing and you jumped back in surprise as you looked back to see him pushing you.
“Katsuki, you scared the hell out of me!” He chuckled, coming to the front as he stopped the swing.
“Seems like old habits die hard, hm?” He leaned forward and had his face directly in yours while you couldn’t help but lean back towards the pillow of the swing.
“Come on, talk to me. Kira already told me.”
“So why do I need to talk to you if she said it.” You spoke coldly. It just had to be him. Bakugo Katsuki. The most richest man in Japan. The number one hero of all of Asia. Your ex boyfriend.
“Don’t be like that, you ass. Tell me.” Even with the vulgar language he still talked gently. “You know how my family is, Katsuki. It’s nothing really. I guess I just had enough today is all…”
He huffed, extremely annoyed now that you spoke the way you would ever since you two broke up, him still not used to it. Who was he to blame though besides himself? The two of you broke it off months ago, more him, but still.
He missed you, but the way you’re being so cold makes he feel like you maybe did move on the way you said you would when he called it quits.
“It’s not true. None of it is true.” Sometimes you forgot he was related to your manager. It was annoying how he was pitying you. You just wanted some alone time.
“People say otherwise though.” You poked the bear again, knowing just where to get him because he too would always say how lazy you were just to get to you durning arguments.
“Y/N…I’m trying to have a normal conversation with you.”
“Right, normal. Look, it was good seeing you but I got to get home.”you looked anywhere but him, trying to leave the swing as you craved home now, wanting to leave immediately.
He leaned down closer than before, looking deeply in your eyes. You saw the familiar industrial piercing, the eyebrow jewelry popping out against the soft lights outside, and the tight shirt he’d wear whenever he came out of work that left little to no imagination on what’s under the thin fabric.
“Katsuki….”
“I still miss you. So much. I regret everything I said. I was an egoistic asshole who was too stubborn to apologize when everything happened. I needed time, thinking that maybe it’d be the perfect opportunity to let go, but I didn’t want to do it the way I did,” he continued as he grew flustered.
‘Wow, right to the point I see, ‘You thought.
“So please, give me another chance to make it right. I’m…fuck I’m sorry. Really sorry.” He spoke, chewing on the lip ring that hugged his plump bottom lip.
You looked at him concerned and confused, not hearing a genuine apology from him in so long, especially after that last argument that ended your five year relationship.
“…you mean it?” You asked softly, playing with your fingers, a habit you had since UA, before he was a hero, before you two even met. A habit he grew to adore.
Old habits die hard.
“I’m…sorry too. For what I said when you broke up with me and saying how I’d move on, we both know that wouldn’t happen. I was infatuated with you.” You smiled looking up, holding his shoulder as he leaned down closer. You caught a glimpse of your promise ring on his necklace, the one you threw on the floor of your shared apartment when he wanted to leave you.
“I still keep it. Everyday I’d wear it just to remember your face and how much of a fucking idiot I was to ever bring that stupid topic up. I was scared though, when you said that,” he sighed, running his fingers into your hair softly.
‘If you don’t want me I’m sure someone would love and appreciate me! Dont come back to me when I move on with someone who cares!’
“I was stubborn to reach out before that happened, but now that I saw you, I gave up trying to be a hard ass. I needed to tell you have I feel. I’m sorry it took me so long…”
“Katsuki, mom wants you.” You accidentally jumped, banging your head into his and hiss as the both of you grabbed your heads in pain.
“Keiko you motherfucker!” Katsuki barked angrily at his nephew who was standing on the porch holding his baby brother and Kaito; the second oldest, looking at each other smugly.
You stood up smiling, placing a soft hand on Katsuki’s shoulder. The was a bright red mark on his forehead and you could only imagine how yours looked too.
“Thank you, Katsuki. I appreciate you saying how you felt, but I have to go now…” You didn’t know what else to say. It was always you saying these words to him but hearing it from him, it did something to you that made you want to runaway in fear, in fear if you let him in again these words would mean nothing.
Just as you spoke the last two words to him, his phone began to ring. It was your baby sister who was calling him. A FaceTime call at that.
He answered it smiling, seeing your sister again after so long. “Kats! Have you seen my sister?!” You heard her voice wobble, making you peak over giggling.
“Oh baby don’t cry she’s right here.” He handed you the phone as you gushed at how cute she looked.
The two of you talked, mainly you trying to calm down her sobbing. She always brightened your day. Even though she was only five, she truly was one of the closest people you’ve had in so long.
At such a young age she seemed to always understand what and how you felt. The way she feels seeing you in distress made her feel distress. It made you sad seeing how much she feels at such a young age towards you, making you not want to mention anything bad that has happened to you most times.
“KEIKOOOO!” She wailed when you accidentally showed the background making you sigh as Keiko’s eyes bulged out.
It was so funny knowing Keiko had a crush on you while your baby sister had a crush on him, making him kind of understand how you felt when he was a kid when he did the same to you the way you sister is acting now.
“Give Keiko the phone right now!” You saw Keiko slowly walk away with his baby brother, making you smirk as you moved quicker and grabbed baby Keiso before handing Keiko Katsuki’s phone.
“Well aren’t you a sweetie!” You smothered the baby in kisses and laughed as you heard your sister wail to him on how much she missed and loved him.
A few minutes later it was quiet again, you hated the awkward silence but luckily the baby was busy playing with your lips and cheeks, keeping you from glancing over at Katsuki.
“I really do need to go home now…” Katsuki walked over and grabbed Keiso, placing him on the small mat on the ground as he crawled away.
“You walked here right? It’s late, you know how many fucking creeps are out right now? And you live across down so it would makes sense you were at your grandmas but still you-”
You placed a hand out, laughing at his flustered expression as you interrupted him so quickly.
“Yes you can take me home, Katsuki.”
I'm so good at forgiveness
Cause I found it for you so many times
When I think I've hit my limit
You push a bit further
And I draw the line
I keep waiting, no I'm waiting for the tide to change
But I know I'm the one to blame Cause I always choose to stay
“…this song is one of my favorites from her album.” You whispered into the quiet silence, making him nod and cough.
“I know…look…Y/N,I meant what I said. I love you. I’m sorry I pushed you away like that. Like you meant nothing when you mean everything to me.” He parked outside of your grandmas, seeing all of your uncles, cousins, and random people standing outside talking.
He missed this. He missed your family, the food, the way they always welcomed him like he was apart of the family. But gods did he miss you more than anything.
You kept your eyes forward, still not knowing what to do.
“Katsuki…I love you too. So much. I felt so much resentment towards you, always feeling my heart ache when I saw you on random posters and ads, I miss my boyfriend. If I were in your position with starting off in a new environment and job, I wouldn’t know what or how I’d live that way,” placing your hand on his, you turned your head and smiled.
Come here by Sabrina Claudio began playing, making you sigh, feeling the love rush through you.
I'm dying to see you
You know what I'm fiending for The only one to get to me Only one to get this close
So I want you to come here I want you to come here
I just need you near
No matter how, just make it here
“I forgive you.“ that was all you needed to say as he clenched the stirring wheel with one hand and cupping your cheek with the other, placing a soft passionate kiss on your lips.
You two pulled away, chuckling at each other’s pink blushes. Even with how much older the two of you got, you two still felt so deeply for one another. Like you were kids foolishly in love.
A tap on the window came from your side, making your eyes wide as your uncle Jaime stood there smirking.
In your opinion he was the scariest to introduce Katsuki to, but at the end of the day, Katsuki lost his fear and actually grew a tight relationship with your uncles, especially your uncle Jaime who just happened to be staring down at you.
“About time fuckers, this one mopped around like a little fucking puppy.” He laughed, walking away to your family and you saw the bright smile on their faces.
“I guess we have to go in, huh?” You winced, looking at Katsuki expecting to see him be annoyed.
But you knew him better than that. There he was, sitting there with a cheeky smile as he waved to your family from the front seat.
“Why are you making that face, ugly? I love your family come on.”
Your mom looked at you in happiness, seeing your bright face that she missed seeing so much. All you needed was her tight hug, the words of affirmations from her. That’s all you needed to know everything would be okay again.
author’s note yes this is how I feel with my family don’t judge I needed a way to vent okay?? anyways I rushed the end because I did NOT want to make another series that didn’t need one so I’m sorry if I didn’t make your expectations lol

“Thank you, have a wonderful day.” You smiled at the customer as they grabbed their cigarettes and left the convenience store you worked at.
It was currently 7:47 PM, and all you wanted to do was be at home with your cat and sleep.
But it’s never sleep when it comes to you. It’s always work, study, work, work, repeat. Living alone was stressful, especially when you didn’t have a support system like you used to.
Your support system..your precious katsuki. Gosh how much you missed him. That night of your breakup was one of the worst things you had ever experienced.
It wasn’t like the time when you lost your pet turtle and it crawled into your father’s work boots, leading to its awful death.
It wasn’t like the time you lost the charm bracelet your best friend had gotten you for your birthday in 7th grade.
No, nothing could ever compare to the way you felt like your heart was yanked out of your chest and tossed aside like a rock.
“Being in a relationship with you is exhausting.” You remembered saying to him as he was ranting about god knows what. You didn’t remember why you two argued, or how you two got in that position.
“Are you fucking serious?” You finally realized what you had said, going up to him to apologize.
But all you remember is him scoffing with tears in his pretty ruby eyes and yanking his jacket off the coat rack, slamming the door harshly. That was the last time you seen him.
“Hi is your lane open?”
You looked up, seeing three girls who were dressed in tight dresses, fur coats with huge smiles on their faces. You caught a whiff of the familiar green plant many would find relief in and their bloodshot eyes as they looked at you in excitement.
“Yes of course. Is this all?” You scanned the bottles of Pedialyte, chuckling as the girls began to ramble.
“You’re really pretty to be working at a place like this?” One girl with brown hair and pink highlights said, holding onto her phone.
“Oh uh thanks?” You blinked at her, looking back down as you scanned the Tylenol.
“We’re going to a party later, you should definitely come! When does your shift end?” You sighed, looking at the clock. These girls didn’t even know you and they wanted to party with you?
“It ends now, but look I don’t really go out at all though so-“
“Even more reason to come! Come on! It’ll be fun!” The shorter girl with curls said as she shoved her pixie stick in her mouth.
“I don’t even know your names.” You tried to explain, shaking your head in disagreement to this idea of theirs.
“I’m Yei, this is Lumi and Honey. We already know your name,” Yei the girl with blue hair pointed to your name tag giggling. “So there’s no other excuse. Please come with us.”
“I think that’s an amazing idea.” You felt a soft shove, looking over to see your coworker Ley looking down at you smiling.
“But I-“
“Go, Y/N. You’ve been working too hard and I know Layla asked for you to cover her shift for tonight but I refuse. As your boss and your friend, go have fun.” You sighed, nodding as you handed Ley your work apron.
Some would say it was pretty weird to have a boss who treated you this way, but you’ve know Ley since middle school. He was basically one of the reasons you still had a job here.
“I don’t even have anything to wear though.” You walked next to the girls as they dragged you along.
Said she met a couple other women
Who were into going late night dancing, yeah
You side glanced at the numerous people that were dancing along with the loud music, smoke overtaking the air as you clenched onto one of the girls’ hand, following them as they led you in further into the party.
You sighed a deep breath, feeling anxious as you watched everyone pushing and grinding on one another.
Gosh you wished you could call Katsuki to be here. Or even to just take you home.
“Hey, have a drink you look stressed.” Lumi laughed as she passes you a red cup. You gulped, smiling as you clenched it in your palm.
“Hey leave her alone, she said she’s not one to party so maybe she’s just not used to this environment.” Honey gave you a side hug and rubbed your shoulders in comfort.
‘I want to go home.’ You thought as you started to sip on the drink, making a small face at the sweetness of the alcoholic beverage, but still not putting it down.
“Mina said she was coming over with her friends.” You tensed up as you heard your old friend’s name from Yei who put her phone back in her small clutch, going back to downing the small shot glasses that were scattered around the counter.
“Mina as in-“ before you could finish, you felt warm soft arms grab your hands, squealing in your ear as you turned around to see the familiar pink girl looking at you in excitement.
“Y/N what are you doing here?!?” She asked, grabbing her hands tightly again smiling widely.
“Oh I was just-“ you looked up for a second and took a double take as you saw him.
Katsuki, standing in all his glory. His large arms in full display in that black wife beater tank, the chain that hung on the side of his loose jeans and your favorite gold chain that laid so gorgeously on his neck. You saw that he got an eyebrow piercing along with two more ear piercings and with pretty gold rings that hugged his fingers perfectly.
The fingers that were wrapped around a girl’s waist tightly.
Your breath hitched as you watched the way he smiled smugishly into the heated kiss with the girl who looked like an angel.
She was the complete opposite of you. So perfect.
You stared back at Mina with wide eyes, making her frown as she slightly turned around to see what you were looking at.
Her deep sigh of disappointment was all you needed to know.
You pulled away from Mina, walking to the bathroom as a loud sigh escaped out of your chest.
“Stupid stupid stupid.” You kept repeating to yourself as you started to put cold water on your face to cool down.
A loud knock interrupted your mini crisis. “Hey we need the bathroom!” A girl yelled, twisting the doorknob annoyingly.
“Sorry.” You whispered as you walked out, seeing two girls drag in a boy with blond hair with a lightening streak who was smiling dumbly. You now realized it was Denki who was dragged into the bathroom.
Good for him. You thought with a small smile. You began to make your way out, only to be caught by the wrist.
Looking back, you saw the face you were dreading to see now.
“Let me go, Katsuki.” You spoke sternly, yanking your arm away. You saw a small glance of hurt in his eyes that was quickly overtaken by the look of anger.
“What the hell are you doing here?” He asked, looking over your shoulder and back at you.
“Who are you with?” You rubbed your face in annoyance and frustration. “That’s none of your business.” You heard a small huff from him, seeing the way he licked his lips in irritation.
A habit you used to love because he looked so good doing it.
“It is my business when you-“ you felt another pair of hands grab your shoulder, being shoved back into a rough chest.
“Is this guy bothering you?” You looked up, feeling your breath hitch at the gorgeous man that stood before you.
He had a tight compressed black shirt with gray sweatpants. Pretty green eyes and raven black hair as he looked at Katsuki.
“Uh what?” You asked to yourself, looking back and forth as you soon realized you were in a muscle sandwich.
“Who the fuck are you?!” Katsuki barked, feeling a vein pop out of his forehead.
“Katsuki.” You spoke softly, looking up at him as he laughed softly.
“Whatever, Y/N. Do whatever the fuck you want. I’m sick of worrying about you and your stupid decisions.” He brushed you off, walking back to the girl from earlier as he grabbed her hand and dragged her out of the party.
You felt your heart hurt a bit, gulping at the way he tenderly talked to her as they left, without a second glance.
“What a crappy ex huh?” The guy joked softly, looking back down at you.
“You seem like you need something to get your mind off things.”
Then she fell in love with a pill, that could take away all her pain, yeah
“What is this?” You twirled the pastel rainbow pills in the small shot glass, looking up at the guy whos name was Kyle, in curiosity.
“I like to call them my happy pills. Come on, try it. Let it course through your veins as all your worries leave you.” He sat back in the raggedy couch that was in the basement as he smoked a joint.
You scratched your neck, feeling a bit tense and bothered as you saw the gray sweatpants that hugged his waist as he man-spread.
“I’m not gonna die, right?” You never did anything like this before, and you had no idea why you were even trusting this man with anything he was giving you.
But you were a whore for a man in a tight black shirt that showed all his good..qualities.
Then she fell in love with a whole new drug
That could fill her veins
And then
An hour later, you were laughing hysterically as you drank, looking around the room.
You felt like you were floating, never had you felt so alive before. This was a new sense of happiness you haven’t felt in all your years.
You started to feel addicted to this feeling.
She's high
She lives in the sky
Tonight, she's satisfied
Rolling back her eyes
You put your hand up, turning it as you inspected it in curiosity. Giving a side glance, you saw Kyle talking to his group of friends, smiling over to you.
You fell on the couch face first, groaning as you felt your vision start to blur.
“What?” You asked, seeing blobs looking down at you, shaking for you to stay awake.
“I’m having fun, leave me alone.” You giggle, pushing one of the face’s away, humming a song softly.
“Katsuki, please take her home.” Honey was looking down at you in worry, wiping your sweat off your forehead as she spoke in the phone.
There were incoherent voices in the background that you happily blocked as you sipped on another drink that was passed down to you.
“Get up.” After a good fifteen minutes of pure bliss when honey hung up the phone, you looked up confused to see him staring down at you completely pissed.
You looked around as Lumi helped you stand, seeing the girl who Katsuki was with looking at him annoyed but she was now sitting on Kyle’s lap drinking.
“Huh?” You asked, pushing his face aside when he tried to help you walk.
You limply looked up at him, seeing him even more mad than before had you sober up a tiny bit.
But then she starts to cry
Everything is turning to black
He lead you outside to his car, his keys jingling around while he helped you to sit inside.
You nuzzled up to the familiar texture of his seats that you used to sit in countless times before.
It was silent the whole ride and you began to cry.
Not just a normal sniffle cry. But a gut wrenching wail, the endless tears falling down your cheeks.
“Don’t be mad at me. Please I’m sorry.” You said clearly extremely intoxicated, watching him clench the steering wheel.
“I’m not mad!” He yelled, making you tense up and cry again.
“I-I’m not mad at you…okay? Whatever happened before….i forgave you for it. I’m mad at myself because I fucking left you!” You could hear the way his voice sounded so distraught and upset that it made you scotch closer to the car door a bit more.
“And what the fuck did you take?! How fucking stupid are you to do something like this? Did you even know that fucking guy?? You’re fucking smarter than this, Y/N what were you thinking??”
You felt your cheeks burn from the alcohol, the embarrassment, and the frustration.
“I wasn’t okay? I wasn’t thinking.”
“Fucking clearly. What the fuck happened to you?” You sat up, looking at him completely heartbroken as he spoke those words to you.
“It’s you! It’s all you!” You cried out. Katsuki looked at you, extremely pissed now as he slammed the car breaks which made the car shriek.
“Oh so it’s my fault now?!” Katsuki now turned his whole body to you, pushing the driver seat back so he was more comfortable as he faced you.
You scoffed, trying to open the car door only for him to reach over and slam it shut, along with putting the child locks on.
“You’re not fucking leaving. We’re going to talk. What the hell is going on?”
You looked at him as your head limply fell back, lightly hitting the seat as tears streamed your face.
“I was doing fine. Then these girls picked me up after my shift and then I went to that stupid party! Then I see you there, making out with the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen. I was so upset i ran to the bathroom but then denki and some girls came in so then I left only to bump into you! After that you started being a fucking asshole which made that dude come over! The-then he gave me these pills. They made me feel fucking incredible!!”
Katsuki’s mouth opened like a fish out of water, his eyes wide as you rambled.
“So there! That’s what’s wrong with me!” Reaching over his lap, you unlocked the car and got out.
As soon as you did, the cool fresh air hit you instantly, making you hunch over as you started to throw up everything in your system.
You heaved, throwing up even more as you clenched onto the tree that was on the side of the road.
You heard the door slam and a comforting rub on your back the more you threw up.
“It’s okay. Let it out.” You turned around, feeling your legs get wobbly as you pushed his hands off.
“You said you could care less about me so leave me alone.” You spoke drunkenly, only for your head to roll back and everything going black for you.
Katsuki sighed as you plopped on the dried orange leaves that luckily saved your fall.
All in one night
She just went to heaven and back
You slowly opened your eyes, seeing that you were in the back of his car, laying across the seats with his jacket that used to be your favorite to steal.
You watched him skip through songs, groaning at the annoying stations that played.
“Who was she?” You almost laughed at the way he jumped, turning to see you sitting up now.
“Jesus fuck, you scared the hell out of me.” you could practically hear the way his heart was racing and ponding from the tight grip he had on the steering wheel.
“Answer my question.” Katsuki stayed silent.
“Just…a girl I started talking to.” Humming in response, you leaned your head against the car window.
“That’s why I did it. As pathetic as it sounds, I took those pills to forget about tonight. To get that imagine of you kissing her so lovingly out of my fucking head.” You didn’t realize just how much you started to cry, only seeing your tears landing on your hands that were laying on your lap.
“Y/N-“
“It’s my fault though. I was so stressed with school and making sure I had enough money for the week that I was so mean to you when you tried to talk to me that night. I’m sorry I said you were exhausting. I’m sorry I’ve been a shitty girlfriend to you, I’m sorry for everything.”
Silence.
You wanted to bury yourself in embarrassment at the way you had rambled your apology, overthinking that maybe he didn’t give a shit about you or your relationship anymore.
“I can see you having a fight with yourself, stop it.” Katsuki gave you a deep sigh, thinking for a bit before he gave himself a small nod.
“Don’t…apologize. I was being an asshole too and pushing your limits when you were saying you weren’t in the mood to speak. I should’ve given you your space. I’m sorry I fucking kissed that girl.”
Before you could respond, he parked the car and you finally realized where you were at now. You were parked right outside his apartment.
The door opened and Katsuki sat next to you.
“Look at me,” he grabbed your hand. “I’m sorry. We both were…really shitty with each other and I’m sorry. I want…to work things out. Maybe it isn’t our time yet, but I just want you.” Katsuki looked down at you, wiping your cheeks.
“I love you. So much. But I can’t…not right now. Not when I have so much regret and resentment with myself for letting this shit happen to you.”
You hum, looking down at your hands as you were thinking of what to say.
“It’s crazy how much shit can happen in one night huh…but can I ask a favor from you?” He looked at you, waiting for you to continue.
“Can we stay like this? Just for tonight like old times? Before I lose you again?”

"I DONT THINK I've ever seen anything like this before.
Keeping her eyes still on the cereal box, Y/N ignored the way her parents were gawking at the flowers that stood all dried up and old in a water bottle near the windows of the kitchen.
"They seem pretty dead to me." She chewed her food throughly, swallowing down slowly as her parents ignored her, keeping their attention on her sister.
"How is it possible for a dead flower to create a new one in a plastic bottle...last night when I brought it out I didn't see anything strange with it but as soon as I was going to throw it out, I noticed the new stems."
Y/N couldn't help but feel a sense of annoyance when her sister spoke.
Her sister annoyed her to the core no matter what she did. Maybe it was because she grew up with her older sister getting everything handed to her or maybe just the way she spoke sort of ticked her off. Like an annoying bug you can’t get rid of because you can’t find it so it’s endless buzzing continues in your space, almost in a mocking way.
"It's like new beginnings can happen anywhere, you know? This little rose was so close to dying, but this little new flower will continue its legacy."
"Oh my gosh, how much more cliche can you get? It's a fucking flower, it's natural for it to grow. Stop getting into your little dramatic theories all the time with stuff like this."
Y/N spat, placing her spoon down as she watched the way her sister bit back her remark, because deep down she knew exactly how her parents would react.
Her mother gasped, obviously shocked that her quiet child would speak like that to her poor sweet daughter who said something so beautiful.
"What the hell is wrong with you?"
The younger girl held back the urge to roll her eyes as she got up and walked back upstairs to her room.
Y/N was a smart and gentle girl, but the people she lived with made it impossible for her to be truly happy.
She was used to it at this point. She would get lectured over every little thing wether it be wrong or right. Hiding away in her room was what made her feel less insane but they still had something to say about that.
"You never talk with us anymore. You're shutting us out so much, do you not love us anymore? Am I a bad mother to you?"
Every time her mother said that, it resulted in her getting yelled at by her drunk father to stop being such a burden and a bitch to her mother while her sister was busy else where.
When can I finally be happy?
Flopping onto her bed, she snuggled deeper into her sheets as a few tears went down her plump cheeks.
This poor 17 year old girl was truly going through it. Her father was rarely home but when he was, he would always remind her how miserable their lives became ever since she was born.
They were always low on money and could barely afford some things, but while her sister was busy buying things for her own benefit, Y/N was busy trying to meet ends meet, yet she was still the burden of the family.
It wasn't fair how easily her sister gotten their love. They sacrificed so much money just for her sister to throw away the things they've gotten her the next day.
She just wanted to feel like she was appreciated or cared for. Wasn't it her parents' job to support her? Her father's job to protect her from any harm but here he is, hurting her the most before any man ever did.
Didn't her mother have to give her advice on her future and given compassion that she will make it far in life instead of being shamed for being a bit (bigger/smaller) than everyone else around her and that no man would ever love her?
And her sister, wasn't her sister supposed to be her best friend who would be there no matter what? But here she is, getting backstabbed by her own flesh and blood.
Y/N was getting so exhausted. Her life was barely starting, and she was already considering leaving so soon.
Am I too...much of a burden to be loved, even by my own family?
Y/N flinched from a rough knock on her window, making her sit up and fix herself up as she saw who it was.
"Katsuki what the hell are you doing here? If my parents find out you're here..."
"Babe, shut up and let me kiss you."
❁ ❁ ❁
Katsuki groaned as he felt something slam into his stomach which resulted in him staggering back.
"Oh my! I'm so sorry, Mr! Oh wait, mama look!!! It's Mr. Dynamight!"
Katsuki looked down and sighed a bit as he saw a young girl in her tweens looking up at him in awe.
"Can I get your autograph,sir?"
"Kassie what did I say about being disrespectful. I'm so sorry, Dynamight."
He shook his head at the mother and signed the girl's journal.
He felt his heart stop as he saw it was one of (Y/N)’s books, her signature being right next to where the girl wanted katsuki to write.
Katsuki blocked out the people’s voices completely as he felt his chest rise up and down, a single tear leaving his eye which he quickly wiped away.
"Here kid." He passed the beautiful book that he had millions of, hidden away in his office, back to the little girl and quickly fled the scene.
As he walked back to his agency, he continued to feel the heavy ache in his heart.
No matter how much time had passed and the years flew by since the incident, he still heavily mourned for his first love every single time someone mentioned her.
It was stupid he thought. She was famous, he was famous, people asking him about her was bound to happen, or situations like this where he catches a glimpse of her book that wasn’t one that he owned, having to relive that she was taken so soon. She had so much to live for, her story just began.
He found it unfair how she could finish so many incredible stories yet never could finish her own.
He felt so selfish right now. He still couldn't move forward even if he had someone important in his life now and even a child of his own.
He will and always will be hers.

Bakugou's Pov
Once the door slammed behind me a painful feeling settled in my chest. And I hated it, it was worse than any injury I'd ever had. Nothing compared to this.
I had no particular destination in mind as I drove, I just needed a minute to be alone with my thoughts, I didn't mean any of the shit that I said back there, I fuckin' loved Y/N.
My grip on the the steering wheel became stronger, making my knuckles turn white. A deep sigh left my throat, I knew that I would have to face them again.
I took a left and pulled into an empty parking lot so that I would be able to turn around.
The drive back was worse. My heart ached as different scenarios of how this could turn out played in my head.
We could just work this out, and I would make sure I changed for the better
Or it would end up with them leaving me for good.
My faced pulled into a frown at the thought of the second probability. No, that won't happen, I'll make sure of it. As soon as I get home I'm going to apologize, and make sure this never happens again, because I love them too fukin' much to lose them.
Once I pulled into our driveway I quickly got out of the car and semi-jogged to the door. After unlocking it I quietly walked inside.
"Y/N?" No reply.
maybe they're sleeping. I pulled out my phone and looked at the time, it was currently 10:55. I mean it would make sense.
As I pocketed my phone I walked towards out shared bedroom and turned on small lamp that was near the door.
My heart picked up the pace one I saw they weren't there. Bathroom, they have to be there.
I walked further down the hallway before I stood before the bathroom door, "Y/N?" I asked while I knocked gently on the door. "I'm coming in alright?" I waited a moment for a reply, but got nothing.
I opened the door enough to fit my head in, after looking around the aching feeling in my chest came back. But now it was stronger.
"Y/N!" I was shouting now, my heat was pounding in my chest. My brain was only producing negative thoughts as I looked through our whole house.
After looking in the bedroom once more I noticed something i hadn't before. Their stuff was gone, all of their clothes. Everything.
My heart had dropped, I walked back in to our dining room where the fight we had lass then half and hour ago took place.
And that was when I noticed a single piece of paper and a black velvet box on the table. My chest was pounding, and my heart felt like it was being stabbed over and over and I put everything together.
With teary eyes I picked up the note and read it.
Bakugou,
You know how much I love you, and how much I always will. Bit I just can't keep doing this anymore. The relationship we used to have was so full of love, but now it's all gone. And neither of us can bring it back no matter how hard we try. This is the only option, and its the best option. For the both of us. Don't try to contact me. Take care of yourself Bakugou.
Love, Y/N
Tears rolled down my face, I had really done it this time hadn't I. They were gone and it was entirely my fault, my pride and ego got in the way of the only relationship I've ever cared about.
Sobs left my lips as I read the letter once again hoping this was some kind of sick prank, that this was their way of getting revenge on me.
"Haha Y/N. Very funny! You cam come out now!" My voice broke, I knew this wasn't a prank. It was real, this was my punishment.
But the worst part was that I fully deserved it. I was the downfall of us, I was the one who pushed them aside, I was the one who made them leave.
"I'm s-so sorry." My voice was barely above a whisper, sobs racked my whole body as I sat in the chair that Y/N sat in earlier.
Memories flashed through my head.
The first time I met them at U.A, our first date and the many others that followed, when we moved in together, and when I proposed to them.
I had the rest of our lives together planned out, but I didn't plan for this. But how could I? We both thought we would be together forever.
But I guess we were both wrong.

Kirishima knew that he would get hurt in the end. He saw how you looked at Bakugou whenever he was in the room, your eyes full of adoration and love. But he couldn't help how his heart skipped a beat whenever you spoke to him.
So here he was, at a table with everyone from class 1-A for a reunion dinner planned months in advance. He sat next to Bakugou, who was seated across from you, only making it easier for you to keep your eyes on him.
As the waiter walked past Y/N raised her hand to gain the waiter's attention, "Hi, can I get a glass of chardonnay?" A polite smiled played on your lips.
The waiter gave your a curt nod before walking into the kitchen.
After that your eyes went right back to Bakugou, they were always on Bakugou.
Kirishima's heart ached at the thought of knowing that you'll never be his. That your heart will always belong to Bakugou.
That he will only ever be a side character in your love story with Bakugou.
Glass after glass your senses were becoming duller, and it seemed to become harder to control your own body.
"Hey, hey we should hangout at my house." You blurted out. And even though the words were directed towards everyone, his heart skipped another beat.
"I don't think I can, I have early watch tomorrow." Mina spoke out, most of the others couldn't either due to prior plans, or work.
"I don't think I'll be able to either, but we can plan something later?" Bakugou spoke up.
Kirishima didn't miss the dejected look in your eyes, nor the way they sparkled when he practically asked you out.
"Yeah, that's be great." A kind smiled tugged at the corners of your lips.
Kirishima made sure he kept a smile on his face even though he felt liked he wanted to cry. It wasn't fair, he had feelings for you before Bakugou even knew you existed.
He was always there for you.
But as always, he once again came in second to the fiery blonde.
"Also, Y/N do you need a ride? You shouldn't be driving right now." Bakugou offered.
"Oh, I can take her. I know she lives a little far from you and her house is only 5 minutes from mine."
There was a silence between the three of you before Bakugou spoke up, "Yeah. Thanks Kirishima." Bakugou patted Kirishima on the shoulder, his eyes were locked with the redhead's giving him a silent warning before removing his hand.
Mine
"I'll see you later Y/N." You pulled him into a hug, missing the smile on Kirishima's face fall for a moment.
"Well we should get going."
You gave a lop-sided smile, along with a loopy nod before starting to walk towards the door, Kirishima close behind leaving Bakugou behind.
The parking lot was empty, not a surprise though considering how late it was. 11:24pm
It didn't take either of you long to find his car, a bright red land Rover parked in the middle of the deserted lot. The keys jingled in his hand as he pressed the unlock button of the key fob.
You both climbed into your respective seats. You, the passenger, and he the driver.
Once you were both buckled he pressed the start button next to the steering wheel, he wasn't even able to put the car in drive before you called his name.
"Hey... Kiri.."You voice was small, barely audible.
"Yeah, what's up? You okay Y/N?"
He sat in silence, butterflies in his stomach as he waited for you to finish what you were saying.
You looked towards him, your E/C eyes were sparkling in the moonlight, leaving the redhead speechless.
And you leaned towards him, tilting your head to the side until your lips finally met.
Kirishima's heart was doing flips, had you really chose him? Was he wrong the whole time? Did you actually like him instead of-
"Bakugou~" You moaned into the kiss.
His heart shattered right then and there.
It wasn't him, of course. It never was, nor was it ever going to be.
Once again you had gotten his hopes up, and brought them down. But this time it stung, because you didn't want to kiss him, you wanted to kiss Bakugou.
He pulled away from you, a deep ache in his heart.
'Real sweet but I wish you were sober' He thought as he put the car in drive, knowing that once you wake up tomorrow you won't even be able to remember the kiss.

White lies
Ship: bakugo katsuki x f!reader.
Words: 820.
Type: angst || tw: blood, mentions of death and anxiety attack.
Summery: where y/n and bakugou are childhood best friends and y/n have a quirk that if she used it would harm her badly
Bakugo once saw her throwing up blood when they were kids, it was like a nightmare to him... A nightmare he wishes to forget but can't.
So this time when he again saw her throwing up blood it was like his worst nightmare coming again.
The only difference this time was that y/n was coughing up blood because she used her quirk to protect him.
The whole world had gone blank and white for the ash blonde, the only color he was seeing was red. Red blood dripping from her mouth and nose to her hands.
His body froze and it was getting to breath. His crimson eyes saw her figure drop onto the ground.
"Y-y/n...?"
He somehow choke out but when he got no response, his thoughts turned into everything but positive.
He ran towards her and bend down. He let out a sign of relief when he saw her chest going up and down.
His crimson eyes who were now soft, again widened when he saw y/n breathing getting slower and slower as the time went on.
Wasting no time, bakugo lift her almost lifeless body and ran to the hospital.
Thankfully y/n was okay, But as for bakugo.. not so much.
He had locked himself in his room and were ignoring all her texts and calls.
She even tried going to his house but he didn't open the door of his bedroom.
A frown was seen on y/n's face as she stood outside bakugo's house. This whole thing of him ignoring her felt so.. weird to her.
Well, it was because he and she had literally seen and talked to each other every day. I mean cmom they are childhood best friends.
She was about to go home but then an idea popped into her head. Soon she came back with a ladder and place it where his window is.
The window was unfortunately closed and had a curtain so she couldn't see inside it ..
she knocked on it and got no response same thing same again. Now getting angry, she slammed her hand on it and the window did open this time, Almost making her fall.
"Hi" she waved with a cheerful smile as if nothing happened those past days. Bakugo looked at her and was about to close the window again but y/n put her head between it.
"Please wait!" She yelled, her cheerful smile turned into a worried frown. Bakugo only looked away but let her in.
Bakugo was on his bed, not looking at the girl who was right in front of him.
"Hey katsuki, why are you ignoring meee" she childish whined but anyone could easily tell the sadness in her voice.
Y/n went closer to bakugo since she got no response, she tried to hold his face but he moves it away.
"Why?" His voice was barely noticeable "why.. did you use your quick to save me?"
Y/n sat down beside him, her eyes soften at his question as he still didn't look at her eyes.
"because I care about you" she softly whispered. She reached her hands out and cupped his face, making him look at her eyes.
He didn't resist her touch instead he craved into but still decided not to make eye contact. "You.. could've d-" his throat closed up, making him not able to get the world out.
Y/n still got what he meant, and giggled "but I didn't" bakugo in response only pout. Y/n was the only person who knew this 'soft' side of bakugo.
"C'mom! I'm fine totally fine, why are still upset about it!" She tried to cheer him up as she cupped his face tighter.
He finally looked at her eyes and in seconds y/n found herself wrapped in bakugo's arms.
She was about to speak but cut herself off when she felt wet at her neck where he had buried his face.
"W-what would have I done if you had... died!?" His voice was shaking as his grip on her was tightened, almost as if he let her go now she'd be gone forever.
"I...I wouldn't be able to han-dle it" his voice cracked as his only buried his face further into her neck. "I was the reason all might.. and if you.." y/n rubbed his back to calm him down.
"It's okay" she softly whispered and hugged him back, Bakugo took in her sweet smell which calms him down.
"I wouldn't ever leave you. Never.." she rescued him, holding her own tears back. Bakugo felt so relieved at that moment so much he could've never guessed it was a lie..
The ash blonde let out a bitter scowled as he now stare at her gravestone. Oh how he shouldn't have believed her white lies.
His head was down as warm tears slowly fell from his eyes, a thunder was heard and it soon started raining.
It was as if the earth was crying with him.

The battlefield stretches all around you while smoke twists in the air, thick and suffocating, coiling itself around your throat like a noose. The stench of burning flesh and debris settles into your skin, an imprint of death you’ll never trully be able wash away. Your body is screaming, muscles torn and bones grinding against each other with every move, but it’s nothing compared to the pain that’s carving its way into your chest.
The heroes, your friends (what’s left of them at least) are scattered across the ground battered and bruised too. If you listened closely you could hear the ragged breaths of those still clinging to life, their bodies curled up like paper crumpled under a careless hand. You are not any different— torn open, limbs heavy, every breath a jagged knife in your lungs, but none of that matters.
Not when you can’t tear your eyes away from him.
Bakugou stands amidst the chaos, a force of nature even now, even as the world collapses around him. His explosions light up the gray sky, a desperate blaze of light against the dreary rain. You've always admired that about him— the way he moves, as if he’s made of steel and pure determination, every blast a declaration of his existence.
But something’s wrong. Something horrible, gnawing at the edges of your mind.
He's still fighting, still charging forward like he can tear the war apart with his bare hands. But his moves—they're frantic, faster, too fast. He's pushing himself too hard, beyond his limits, like he's racing against the clock, against the inevitable. His explosions are growing stronger, more desperate— sparklingly devastating— but it comes with a cost, one you can feel in the hollows of your bones.
You scream his name, but your voice is swallowed by the storm of battle. It rips from your throat, raw and shredded, but he does not turn around.
He does not stop.
Despite the gaping wound in your side, the blood seeping through your clothes, painting the ground in your wake. Despite the universe screaming at you to rest, to lie down, to simply pause.
You can't. You won’t. You’re running— legs moving dragging in the dirt faster than your mind can keep up with. It’s like being caught in a dream where time moves too slowly. You can’t reach him, and every step makes you feel that much further away.
You’ve been tethered to him for as long as you can remember— an invisible red string stretching between you both, tangled in childish arguments when you were five, in unsaid words when you were 13, in the fire that intertwines your souls.
Soulmates.
You both knew it long before the words could be spoken, though you never dared to voice it. Maybe from fear? Pride? Who knows. But you’ve felt it deep in your core since the day you met, a pull so strong it made the world tilt around him.
And now, with each step you take, that string feels like it’s fraying.
Shigaraki's monstrous form surges from the smoke like a nightmare come to life, his limbs distorted and twisted, swinging toward Bakugou like a scythe cementing his fate. Time stretches thin, your breath freezing in your throat.
Your scream rips through the silence in your head, but it’s too late. You watch it happen— frame by frame, the universe mocking you with its cruelty. Shigaraki’s blow lands— dead center— and Bakugou’s body flies, the sound of impact thunders, tearing the sky apart.
Everything stops. He lands in the dirt, his eyes wide, the fierce determination flickering out like a candle’s flame.
The world crumbles around you, but it doesn't matter anymore. The war, the heroes, the villains— they all disappear, fading into white noise as you collapse beside him. You are too late, a mantra that replays in your head over and over and over. You hit your knees, pain shooting through your bones, but you don’t care. You’re shaking, hands trembling as they reach for his face, his chest— anything solid, anything real to anchor yourself to this moment, to make this stop.
"Katsuki," you whisper, your voice thorns against your throat.
He doesn’t move. His body lies still, too still, and there’s blood— so much fucking blood— pouring from his wounds, painting the ground in crimson. Your hands press against his chest, trying to hold it back like you can turn back time with your will alone, but he's slipping through your fingers like sand, like the life draining out of him.
“Katsuki, please,” you sob, weary and desperate.
His eyelids flutter, just for a moment, his crimson gaze locking with yours. And in that fleeting second, he’s still there. Your Bakugou, the one who burned too brightly, the one who never stopped fighting, never stopped living like he was invincible. His lips part, like he wants to say something, but no sound comes out. His hand twitches, just barely, and you grab it, holding on like it’s the only thing keeping you tethered to this world.
There was supposed to be more time. More moments. More chances to say the things you were both too scared to admit. To yell, to scream, to love him, to tell him you were soulmates in every damn sense of the word.
His eyes shake, and his grip weakens.
"Fuck, Katsuki, no," you plead with him, leaning down until your forehead presses against his, your breath ragged and hot against his cooling skin. "Don’t you fucking dare."
The words fall into the void, swallowed by the silence of the dying. There’s no answer, no spark left in him.
The weight of it crashes down, crushing your chest, your heart shattering into barbed pieces you’ll never be able to put back together.
He’s gone.
Your everything— ripped from you, stolen by this war.
And the world, the entire universe, your red string feels like it’s collapsing around you. The battle still rages on, distant explosions and screams filling the air, but it all feels so far away. All you can do is hold him, cradling his broken body in your arms, feeling the warmth slip away with every passing second. Everything has stopped, everything is ending, and all you’re left with is the hollow, unbearable ache in your chest where he used to be.
Just like that, the war takes more than it ever should have.
It takes him.

⁀➷ FALLEN | BAKUGOU
pairing. Bakugou Katsuki x GN!Reader
warnings. character death, violence, blood, greif, survivor's guilt, truama, hurt/no comfort
genre. angst, soulmates au, canon compliant
notes. ouchie this one kinda hurt 👎🏽
1K | Amid the chaos of war, your unspoken bond with Dynamight has always been enough— until the moment you see him fall.

~SIBLING KATSUKI AND ERI AU IDEA~
What if Bakugou and Eri were siblings and when their mom abandoned them Chisaki experimented on both of them. So when Eri escaped and ran into izuku the hero’s only thought it was one child until they find Eri and she’s being protected by an angry and terrified teenager.
~RESCUED SHIGARAKI AU IDEA~
When Bakugou meets Shigaraki at usj he picks up on several signs of abuse/manipulation and begins to question who’s really behind the scenes. He does some searching and ends up hacking into some security cameras that show that shigaraki is being experimented on and manipulate into thinking it’s normal. Bakugou later pulls a rescue and ends up getting a reluctant shigaraki to follow him to UA for help.
✨bonus ✨
Shigaraki is only a year older then Bakugou in this au so they bond over video games and sarcasm
Bakugou recognized the signs of abuse from his own home from before UA got custody and he started living with aizawa
Bakugou and Shigaraki end up being surprisingly protective of each other and end up referring to each other as brothers
Kurogiri ends up collecting the rest of the league but they’re more vigilantes and sometimes pop up out of no where to visit their baby brothers Bakugou and Shigaraki
~TRANSFER STUDENT AU IDEA~
Bakugou is from America he ends up transferring to UA back in America he went to public school so when he transfers to UA he has no idea what to expect and UA has just received a demon
✨bonus✨
Katsuki asks questions that traumatizes everyone else
Katsuki just casually talks about school shootings and bomb threats and it both scares the students and teachers
The teachers find it extremely concerning that Katsuki knows everything that’s happening with everyone they end up asking him about it and his only response is a shrug and a comment about needing to be in the know
He and denki bond over being the only two kids in 1-A that are fluent in English and the power they have is beautiful
He uses all kinds of slang that doesn’t make sense to anyone but denki
Bakugou and Encanto crossover (kinda)
Katsuki and Izuku get into an argument and it starts to get heated very quickly. They’re screaming at each other and somethings get revealed about Katsuki’s parents.
Izuku: YOU’VE ALWAYS BEEN SO SELFISH!!!
Katsuki: Selfish!?
Katsuki: I’ve been stuck being perfect my whole entire life and the only thing you’ve ever done for me is MESS THINGS UP!!!
Izuku: Nothing is messed up you can still be the best at everything!!!
Katsuki: I NEVER WANTED TO BE THE BEST! I WAS DOING IT FOR MY PARENTS!!!!
Izuku: …w-what?
~DRUGGED KATSUKI AU IDEA~
Katsuki hates going home because when he does his parent make him take medication that “stabilizes” his emotions. After a weekend visit with his parents he comes back to the dorms acting weird. When he’s questioned by Aizawa he acts confused and quietly explains that his parents make him take “mood stabilizers” because he’s too emotional.
✨bonus✨
Katsuki answers a lot of questions even if they aren’t questions directed at him, it scares everyone with how honest and open he is while drugged.
The stabilizers take 24 hours to get out of his system, it’s the weirdest 24 hours for the rest of the class.
The stabilizers are illegal because they erase all emotions leaving the person dull and unable to protect themselves.
Shoto becomes super protective because he reminds him of a worse version of himself before he made friends.

~BAKUGOU CAN SEE CONNECTIONS AU~
Katsuki can see connections. How people connect with people. How a thing is connected to another thing. How a person is connected to a place.
✨bonus✨
The more opaque the stream that connects them the more they’ve been in contact or rely on that person or thing.
If he concentrates hard enough when he touches that stream he can see glimpses of what that thing means to a person. Ex: if he touches a stream that connects a mother and her child then he’ll see glimpses of that mother caring for her child.
He uses this to track people and sometimes find out weaknesses about opponents.
People seem to always think he’s weak or some two bit fortune teller so he freaks out people when he brings up someone’s personal matters and just hints at it.
He doesn’t have a lot of friends because everyone always thinks he’s gonna find out everything about them and use it against them.
He has a habit of zoning out or becoming overwhelmed by all the colors around him.
The first time he zoned out in 1-A Aizawa asked a question and he didn’t answer, this proceeded into most of the class freaking out because he wasn’t reacting to anything and it was starting to look like he wasn’t breathing, deku fixed it tho by slowly covering katsuki’s eyes with his hands until he snapped out of it with a unnecessarily adorable sneeze.
The first time Aizawa erased katsuki’s quirk he got really quiet and just stared at his hands for a while.
OK a lil embarrassing but i've been looking for this fic for AGES not realising it was you who wrote it 😭 ANYWAY this is truly one of my fave fics ever! it's so well written and you can clearly see bakugou's resolve crumbling as the story progresses, rather than it being forced in at some point. the smut is immaculate and immersive & the build up is 100% worth the wait. tens across the board tbh.
(ps. the reader's a lil shit. i love it.)

katsuki bakugou’s been your best friend since as long as you can remember.
your mothers had always been close, kept in contact after they graduated and reunited when word spread they’d be having babies around the same time. katsuki, of course, came first— nothing could ever beat him and you always followed, popping out just months later.
just like your parents, you went through everything together. took your first bubble bath side by side, learned to crawl in unison— stood tall and walked in tune with one another. you’d punched out bakugou’s first wobbly tooth in first grade and he’d comforted you after you cried on your first day of school.
you were completely and utterly inseparable.
joined at the hip, you picked each other for every team in middle school and studied together for every honours class test in high school and when crushes came into play, bakugou never once looked away from you. ‘why the fuck would i need other girls when i have you?’ he’d say, lips pulled into a toothy smirk, vermillion eyes bright and mischievous as he’d try to shove whatever spicy hellish concoction he’d made for his bento that day, down your throat.
and gradually, whenever katsuki looked at you, a warm feeling would blossom in your chest— he made you feel like the only girl in the world, like you were his favourite girl.
people always told you how cute you were together, katsuki bakugou and his sweet little girlfriend yn…and you’d believe them. doodled his name in every one of your notebooks, hearts over the ‘i’ and your future children’s names scrawled in loopy font underneath. there was no one more perfect for your best friend than well…you.

Bakugo x my OC (name is Yuri, male)
This is pure angst. An idea ive had in my head that i need to write out.
My OC has a plant quirk, can create any plant from anywhere on his body.
WARNINGS: ⚠️death, mentions of blood⚠️
(The "best friend" in this is also my OC)
The white of the hospital room was blinding, and for a split second, Yuri thought he had died and gone to Heaven. But that couldn't be possible.
No way he would go to Heaven.
The room became less blurry, the disgusting hospital smell he always hated burning at his nose. His body ached, his limbs heavy and burning. He could feel the IV drip in his arm. His head felt like it was full of TV static, as he struggled to remember what was going on.
He sat up, dispite every inch of his body protesting. His eyes burned, a familiar sting, due to the blood that poured out of them when he overused his quirk. He was struggling to remember anything, but he heard a familiar, muffled voice from outside the room.
"Oi, get the fuck out of my way!"
Katsuki.
"Bakugou, you're not supposed to be moving around! You're really injured." He heard another voice.
"I dont care! Do 'ya think I'm weak or somethin'!?" Katsuki spat.
The voices felt so far away, Yuri's head filled with fog. He looked down at his hands.
They were blood stained.
Memories came crashing into him, clearing the fog. The battle, the blood, the screaming. He could have vomited, right then and there, if not for the fact that he hadn't eaten anything in a long time.
Kaname.
His very bones shuddered at the memory. His best friend. The person that always made him laugh. He remembered it so vividly, the friend he admired so much, dead in his arms.
Suddenly, his body was completley numb. Yuri ripped the IV out of his arm and stood. He was covered in bandages, but this wasn't the worst he'd ever been injured. He couldn't even hear Katsuki's yelling anymore, all he could hear was the buzzing in his head. He clenched his fists, fingernails digging into his palms.
His best friend was dead, and all he got were scrapes and fucking bruises?
Yuri's blood boiled, thorns poking out of his skin. His breathing became heavy, as he remembered his friend's smile.
Remember me, okay?
"Fuck!!" Yuri screamed. He began tearing the room apart, punching holes in the walls, knocking over the moniter, throwing the small green vase of flowers at the door. His quirk went off left and right, thorny vines and poisonous plants shooting out around him as he continued his tantrum.
The door swung open. Katsuki looked in horror as Yuri continued to tear the room apart. He was usually so calm, so level-headed. Usually it was the other way around, Yuri having to calm down Katsuki during one of his outbursts. He'd seen Yuri upset before, but nothing like this.
"Yuri, the fuck are you doing!?" Katsuki yelled, grabbing the smaller boy by the wrist.
"Let go of me!" Yuri screamed, voice cracking. Thorns grew at his wrist, piercing Katsuki's hand, forcing him to let go.
"Stop it! You're gonna hurt yourself!" Katsuki yelled again, not touching Yuri this time. He was at a loss, had no idea what to do. Yuri continued punching, throwing, not caring that his hands were being cut by glass.
"Why the fuck won't you listen to me!?" Katsuki reached out to Yuri again, but he smacked the hand away.
"Go fuck yourself! I dont have to listen to anyone!" Yuri screamed back, louder. His voice was raspy and broken. Thorns grew bigger, as did the mess.
In an act of desperation, Katsuki said,
"Is this what Kaname would have wanted?"
Yuri froze, jaw clenched.
"He would have wanted you to smile. To let yourself rest." Katsuki continued, stepping closer to the thorn-covered boy.
"The hell do you know? You didn't even like him." Yuri said, almost whispering..
"I know that he loved you. I know he would've hated to see you like this." Katsuki said, softening his tone.
"Yeah? Well he can't see me like this. He's dead." Yuri said, voice cold and harsh. He flinched at his own words. He knew Kaname was dead, but saying it out loud made it all too real.
"Oh my god, Katsuki." His voice broke, lip trembling. "He's dead."
Never, in all his time knowing him, had Katsuki seen Yuri cry. But right now, right in front of him, the small boy broke down sobbing. He was shaking, thorns growing bigger.
"He's dead. I couldn't protect him, and now he's dead 'cos of m-me." Yuri stuttered and sobbed.
Katsuki bit his lip, holding back his own tears. No, he didn't really like Kaname. But he didn't deserve to die. And seeing Yuri like this, the only person Katsuki has ever truly loved, broke him to pieces. There was nothing he could do, or say, that would make him feel better.
He took a step towards Yuri, who had fallen to his knees. Dispite the thorns, dispite the protests, Katsuki embraced him. The thorns hurt, of course, but he didn't care. Yuri needed him, needed to be held, needed to know that he was safe. So he said nothing, and let Yuri sob and prick him with thorns.
Eventually, the thorns went away. But the sobbing didn't. Yuri was now clutching on to Katsuki, crying heavily into his shoulder.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Yuri said softly.
"I know." Katsuki replied in a hushed tone, softly stroking the other's head. He was never this gentle, but Yuri needed it.
Eventually, the both fell asleep there, on the hospital floor, surrounded by shattered glass and tears.
