So I just got out of the theater and well I was at least 80% right. I’m not posting anything else about it until the 17th at least.

Predictions for One Piece Red (okay it’s mostly Uta):

Uta is definitely an antagonist. Not necessarily the villain but definitely an antagonist.

She has some kind manipulation or hypnosis like ability through her songs.

DADDY ISSUES.

There’s a shitty manager / person of influence in her entourage. My money is on Kalifa.

Big Mom’s crew plays into her backstory.

She hates or at least strongly disapprove of pirates (see Daddy issues).

The weird shiny rainbow rocks we see in the background are either just the distinctive trait of that Island or they also play a huge part in the story.

The kids are here to represent the innocent earnest but broke fans compared to the ones that are willing to throw a lot of money at merchandise.

I kinda expect it’s going to go like that one episode in mlp : The mane attraction where AJ reunites with her friends turned popstar who’s being gaslighted by her manager. Except with more punching and trauma.

No one is going to mention that Brook is also a famous musician with a huge career.

like your mind switches through these current obsessions and once the hype kind of dies down, there’s always this one fandom that it switches back to when there’s nothing else new and it’s like always there without fail

I DIED

I have a bit of an headcanon for Donnie’s powers. I think the reason he took longer to use it is because is because Donnie won’t accept because it’s magic, he needs to understand it, to know how it works. The others aren’t bothered by more abstract ideas of how it works and their powers are fueled by other aspect of their personality.

Raph : His need to protect his family. (This one is the most obvious)

Mikey : His adaptability and passionate personality. (He has more rebounds than a kickball)

Leo : His quick thinking and unpredictable nature. (I mean let’s be real you never know what he’s going to do next)

All of this are intuitive for them but for Donnie his first intuition is to throw science at it. Science make sense, it explains how the world works, is constant and he can control it. None of those apply to mystic powers at first. So he needs to make sense of it by throwing science in it. I think that his powers works a lot like a Green Lantern’s ring does. His mystic powers help him project a construct that he visualize in his mind. I am convinced that those weapons are either things he had built before or that he intend to build in the future. I am also convinced that he makes them function as if they were real, and don’t just fire them just because. If he were to manifest a weapon he wouldn’t believe would work then the construct would be useless.
