Can We Talk Abt How Armins Parents Were Pretty Much Confirmed To Be The Balloon Couple From What I've

Can we talk abt how Armins parents were pretty much confirmed to be the balloon couple from what I've seen? Like they longed for the world outside and it got them killed. And still Armin carried that will with him for the rest of his life??

Ok so like, in the manga Armin states his parents died in the effort to retake wall Maria with the refugees as impromptu soldiers (which was really all an effort to thin the population out by sending them to die but whatever not important right now) however in the anime (which is the canon im choosing to go by since it's the most recent and stuff) this was changed to his grandfather dying.

The character encyclopedia also states his parents were killed for trying to leave the walls, so like, yeah they're the balloon couple.

BUT CAN WE ACTUALLY DISCUSS THAT???

Like do you think he ever got to know what happened to his parents?? Or was he just told "aw yeah they died sorry"

Do you think he asked to come with them? Do you think he waited for them to get back home, and they never did?

He would've probably lost his parents around the same time Mikasa did, but nobody ever brings it up?????

There was something so upsetting about having to put your stuffed animals in the wash as a kid. Having to be without your nightly comfort when the dark would close in. But they always came back, didn't they? They'd come back warm from the dryer and smelling and feeling clean, and you could imagine it was just like having a nice bath.
