And Armin realizes that they never shared a dream. That the ocean wasn't enough for Eren, that it had never been. It hadn't been the marvel of the sea that allured Eren like it had him, he wanted more more more. They were never aiming for the same thing, this wasn't a shared dream, it was just another step to Eren. Just another landmark. It'd never be enough.
