Moving Through The Crowd One Of The First Things He Noticed Was Truly How Different This Bar Was To The

moving through the crowd one of the first things he noticed was truly how different this bar was to the one's back home. there was no second story for VIP guests only, there were hardly any security guards lingering against the walls. pantheon was smaller; much smaller-- but he didn't mind it. in fact, it made the bar feel more congested which would only play into their favor as they snuck off to a secluded booth in the corner.
sliding into the seat with a cocky, toothy, grin, fist tight around the neck of the stolen bottle, he looked over at the other and lifted his bottle in a faux cheer before popping the cap off and drinking from it straight. "from what i've heard people have reason to be anxious. something about a crack and some masked men," he poorly explained with a dismissive wave of his left hand, "though, back in my day, that was hardly something to be worried about. that was a typical tuesday night." he teased. "careful, gorgeous, keep calling me pretty and might forget how to act." huffing out a sigh, he reclined against the booth, his arms stretched out over the top of the seat, and relaxed. "i definitely intend to drink but not because i'm trying to drown anything, i just like to end my days with something stiff." he smirked. "if i'm being honest? i'm always up to having fun but it's been a bit of time since i've outright caused any trouble. i moreso clean it up. what about you?" elgin glanced over, bottle pressed back to his lips again. "what's your deal?"

The vampire smiled as the other man took one of the stolen bottles for himself. Kai bounced up to his feet, hopping off the barstool and nodding his head in excitement. Oh, now he was going to have some fun tonight, it seemed. "Lead the way, bad boy," he teased as he held the other bottle in his hands. As they made their way past the various groups of patrons at the bar, he spotted a more secluded corner booth, still unoccupied and out of view from the ignorant bartender.
Sliding into one the booth without a second thought, Kai glanced back at the other man with a silly grin on his lips. "Well, lucky for you, I didn't grow up in this idyllic little town. If you asked me, this town could use some shaking up anyways. Everyone's so uptight and anxious these days; it's like everyone forgot how to have fun," he said with a heavy sigh, as if he were actually bothered by the situation. "So, pretty face, what's your deal? You looking to cause trouble? Have some fun? Or just drink the night away and forget about all your troubels?"

it was equal parts fascinating and frustrating to see how easily this man was able to get served. he was used to getting what he wanted too but that was from a previous life; before he left home; before he left his family. "mhmm," the vampire hummed under his breath as the other easily pulled him closer to his side and offered him their-- well, his-- drink. "loudest, right." he had been loud too so it definitely wasn't that. "i'm sure it has nothing to do with how pretty you are." it was meant to be a compliment though there was a bit of an edge to his tone. a bit of a sting.
relaxing, softening, a bit he lifted his glass and let it clink against the others in a cheers before taking a sip for himself. it wasn't a top shelf bourbon but the taste was good enough to tide him over for now; to distract him. "thank you, by the way," he added on as he set his drink down on the bar beside him, his tone smoother and less prickly now. "you do that a lot? use your loudness to help out complete strangers that need a drink or am i just lucky?"

It was just a normal night after work for the dragonblood, trying to enjoy the free time he had before hed be back in the station tomorrow. The Pantheon Bar was a place that he had grown a fair liking to since he arrived in New Haven. He was having a few laughs with the men at the bar as they watched the tv's. What Arwyn did notice was a man trying to get some service and not receiving any, but he wasnt going to accept that. "He raised his voice and his hand as he heard the other say his order, not hesitating to help. "I need a bourbon neat, and make it snappy." He requested and within a literal minute of waiting he pulled the other closer to him and offered him his drink. "I have a way of getting what I want, sometimes you just have to be the loudest one in the room. I'm Arwyn by the way." he smiled as he cheers with the glass in the others hand before taking a sip of his drink.

"the edge wasn't meant for you." if anything, the undertone of annoyance in his reply had been aimed more at the bartender that seemed intent on ignoring him; he likely ignored his fussing as well. "apologies. let's just say it's been a long day and, well, day's aren't my favorite thing to begin with." he explained as he pulled his lips back, briefly, to show his fangs to help the frankly pale attempt at a joke to land. "now i'm gorgeous? aren't you a sweet talker." he mused. "i'm aware i'm attractive but there is a difference between you and i in that world. i'm just your standard handsome. you? you're the type that tends to be dangerous. hard to say no to," he teased as he gestured down at the drink the other had to order for him.

"i don't look like a jerk? finally." he mused. he used to be. "that's funny," he chuckled to himself though it was really only funny to himself; at one point back home people would have died over helping him or not. "but i've got time and well, you know how to work the bartender, so consider yourself companied. i'm still curious," he added on as he took another sip of his drink before settling into his seat so he was a bit more comfortable as he stayed to talk. "when you say you rescue people daily does that mean your some sort of fire fighter? cop? nurse? or do you just spend a lot of nights at this bar?" the vampire teased; flirted even. "i'm hoping it's the latter because, if we're being honest, you in a uniform? that would just be unfair."
The dragonblood shook his head as the other seemed a little unimpressed and unappreciative. Maybe Arwyn could cut him some slack as he seemed to be having a rough night. "While I appreciate the compliment, I'm getting a sense of backstab.. I mean i did just help you out, gorgeous. And don't count yourself short, you're attractive top." he said before taking another sip from his glass. Arwyn glances over the other enjoying his view for a second. "Hey its no problem, if you keep me company, there's plenty more where that came from." he sighed as he shrugged not really knowing the answer. "You didnt look like a jerk, and I rescue people on the daily. Figured i'd be nice. Not like anyone else was dying to help you out."
