so i saw a post about Aven doing a cartwheel in one of his attack animations and some confusion around it. idk if anyone figured it out, but i do know why he does that

if you perfect time all of Aven’s midair melee string, including the punch after he kicks them back to the ground, he’ll cartwheel-kick them back up in the air. it’s like the extra strike at the end of Edda’s axe string, and adds more absorption damage to the combo.

this game has a ton of lil things like that. and that reminds me of a post I’ve wanted to make.

this game has the one of deepest, most complex, highest skill-ceiling combat I’ve ever played. and I will be ranting about it soon.
