For such a long time, i truly tried to convince myself i saw the word 'human' as nothing more than a synonym for 'homo sapien'.
But that's just how i wish it was. I truly wish 'human' meant nothing more than this species, that i could identify with the word that way.
But i am a 'human' only in that i am a part of the 'homo sapiens' species. But as long as ppl continue to delude themselves into thinking that there is some specific requirement for the label, that some groups don't qualify for whatever reason they come up with, that anyone has the right to look upon another and declare them unworthy, i won't be able to claim myself as one.
I wish i was human, yet when ppl say the word i feel no connection to it.

i dont care if their skin is a different colour or if they act differently than you or if they're a serial killer or pedophile.
you dont get to make that choice for them.
but i think denying 'humanity' of your own volition is quite... beautiful.
my thoughts on my own humanity are so fucking complivated
i believe no one has the right to dehumanize another for any reason. but denying humanity for yourself is beautiful.

i hate dehumanization bc it is the reason i am unable to connect w the term 'human'. but i also wish to embrace it.
i wish i could claw and kick and FIGHT for my right to humanity. that i could reclaim this word (this connection) that i am still so often
denied
yet i know that the label will never fit me quite right. there is no more space for it in the mess that is Me.
even if i could get that 'humanity' back there is no space for it anymore.
