"Y/n!" Yamaguchi called out, stopping you from your tracks. "What do you want Tadashi..?" You mumbled, not really wanting to talk to his bestfriend. It's just gonna serve as a painful reminder, and you can't really deal with it right now.
"Are you oka-"
"Am I okay?! Are you being serious right now!? Yams, my boyfriend replaced me with Yachi!" You scoffed in disbelief, as Yamaguchi looked at you worriedly. The rage you are bottling up finally eploded and landed on poor Tadashi.
Word has already gone out and almost all students are either looking at you with pity or whispering the recent even that happened to their friend.
You didn't care anymore, Tsukishima Kei did you dirty. That scheming slimy bastard, you should've known. Even when you told yourself to be ready if his feelings weren't true, it doesn't mean it doesn't hurt less.
It probably hurts even more.
Yamaguchi looked around, he only then noticed the people who are crowding around you. He grabbed your hand and whisked you away to the rooftop, the stares and gossiping slowly dissappearing.
"It isn't fair.." You continued to cry, sobbing loudly as Yamaguchi looked at you with unknown emotions. "I know Y/n... I'll be here. Always." He tucked your stray hair in your neck with delicate fingers and wiped your tears away with his handkerchief.
The faint smell of Yamaguchi's cologne invaded your nostrils as you held the handkerchief along with his hand on your cheek, trying to find some sort of comfort.
You were caught off guard when he hugged you. Although you stayed silent and let him cage u in his caring arms.
Yamaguchi felt your body around him relax, a smile overtook his features as he nuzzled his face in your hair. The two of you always cuddle like this so it's no big deal, the only thing he needs to do is calm his raging heart. Atleast you can rest for a bit before facing the reality.
Next thing you knew, you were pulled away and Yamaguchi on the ground, getting punched.
"What- KEI! LET GO OF HIM!" You yelled, frantically runing and planning to stop the fight.
"This is what you wanted didn't you!?" Tsukishima yelled at his bestfriend, gripping the collar of his uniform in a vice grip. Never had you seen the two friends fight or even get into pretty serious fights with each other. It was always just a light hearted banter.
"You dumbass! Don't blame me for the stupid things you did!" Yamahuchi yelled back before landing a solid hit on Tsukishima's face.
"Yams! Please!" You yelled, trying to get in between, you heard Tsukishima scoff. "Seriously? I didn't know you could move on so fast Y/n-"
Slap.
The stinging sensation then made Tsukishima realized that is what he recieved from you. Your anger finally boiled over the more you stare at him. "Don't even start with me, Kei. You left me for her without even breaking up with me." You uttered, dangerously calm.
Yachi stood on the door leading to the rooftop as three pairs of eyes landed on her form.
"Kei-chan.. You told me you two broke up months ago.."

refreshing. you got a new perfume called "first date" and this was the best description for it: refreshing. it smelled like a summer afternoon. well, the name couldn't be more appropriate for today. you, finally, got a date with the boy you've been in love for so long, tadashi. the day he asked you out was like a dream. you were in class, packing your thinks to go and he approached you: "hi" tadashi said "i would like to know if you want do go out with me tomorrow, after school. we could huh- we could go get ice cream". you were almost dying of happiness, but you tried to stay calm. "sure" you answered him "i would like to".
today the day has finally come, and you couldn't pick your outfit. after a long time deciding, you went for a light purple outfit. you were finally done, know you just had to wait for tadashi to come pick you up.
you hear knocks on the door and your heart starts beating faster. "hi, it's me" you hear his voice. you open the door and he gives you a kiss on cheek. looking into his face, you can see he got red. like, really red. "let's go?" he asks. and you both start to walk, going to the ice cream shop. talking about whatever comes to your mind, laughing about stupid things, making jokes about everything. you always liked tadashi, but you'd never imagine that you would get along so well.
at the end of the date, he tells you he wants to show you something. "i promise it's worth it" he says. and it is. he shows you the most beautiful sunset you've ever seen. sitting on the grass, he looks in your eyes. "you're so pretty". he says, holding your hand, wanting more. "can i- huh" you nod. and he kisses you. his lips are soft like clouds and his kiss felt comforting. he smells really good, like green apple.
after the sun goes down, he walks you home. "thank you for today" you say "i really enjoyed it". he hugs you. "oh, i also got this for you". it's a bouquet. a bouquet of syringa voulgaris: the famous lilacs. "it matches your outfit. i hope you like it" he smiles. "see you tomorrow at school!". and he leaves you there, dreaming about him.

Yamaguchi Confession Headcannon
The sweetheart would probably get you a few daffodils and present them to you with the most adorable blush on his little freckled cheeks.
He most definately looked up the meanings for almost every flower he could get his hands on.
When he confesses, it's probably in a very non-crowded spot, like on school grounds after hours.
He would want to take you to the nearby park to look at the tadpoles in the pond because he's just a sweet little wierdo like that.
He's definately asked your friends what your favourite chocolates are because he surprises you with them along with the flowers.
He really went all out for you, he's even ironed his school clothes.
Tsukishima is definately standing behind a bush somewhere not too far off. The tall blonde tried to act like it was against his will but he worries secretly that Yamaguchi might actually be crushed if you were to reject him.
You're definately very bashful and embarrassed but so is Yama so it's fine.
There's also a note in your locker because he was heavily contemplating not confessing face-to-face, and he's currently internally panicking on how he's gonna get it back so he doesn't look like a fool in front of the person he has more than just a little crush on.
While he's confessing he rambles a lot, and you realise just how close he pays attention to all your little changes, like a different skin or haircare routine and it makes him all the more adorable in your eyes.
The little mopheaded baby scrunches up his face and closes his eyes tight with anxiety as he speaks, shakily holding up the flowers and chocolate and bowing to you, making you sweatdrop as you try to get him to calm down a little, scared he might faint and die where he stands.
He's just so precious.
