Still on my traipse through season 12 episode-related fics, this one was pain and healing all rolled into one for 12x11 Regarding Dean (the one with the memory stuff).
It's tender and heavy and very, very hot, but it's the emotions that will really get you.

dean always talks. it feels like he’ll disappear if he doesn’t. but sometimes it physically feels too difficult to speak. so sam and him end up developing a sign language between each other, with sam interpreting for dean. it freaks everyone else out but it works so. when it’s one of those days dean will just tug on sam’s sleeve, point to his mouth and shake his head and his little brother will know.
I just did the thing. I have never done this particular thing before. No bangs, bingos, or challenges. I am peeing my pants. Help.

This was a tough one to answer. I went with "one of these is my fave and the other two tie". Wincest is definitely my OTP, and it has only been one, maybe two, very rare occasions when I actually sought out Wincestiel deliberately. I don't think I've ever sought out Destiel or Sastiel deliberately, just because reading about the boys not as part of my OTP doesn't appeal.
Having said that, I've WRITTEN Wincestiel now (as a once-off threesome within established Wincest [x]), which isn't something I thought I'd ever do. The thing is, though, Cas's involvement is mainly platonic (that is, non-romantic, but obviously sexual—threesome after all), and if anything, serves to strengthen what's between Sam and Dean. So I guess that tracks, actually.
one thing that always tickles me when i wander back through the wincestiel tag is that everyone seems to be coming from WILDLY different places on which legs of the triangle really do it for them and which are just kinda there. so, let's break it down:
btw if this gets hijacked into ship-war bullshit where people openly use it to dunk on pairings they dislike, i will make it unrebloggable and bear a petty grudge against the perpetrators for the foreseeable future. some things are not for you and that's fine. just vote option one and reblog if anthropological curiosity moves you to do so.
