AND, AND

it more or less followed the story of the first avengers movie :3

*ahem*

Avengers: recruiting the team

S2, Ep2: recruiting the team

Avengers: team meeting each other

S2, Ep2: team meeting each other

Avengers: first fight with Loki, takes Loki into custody

S2, Ep2: first fight with Peter, takes Peter into custody

Avengers: as the team takes Loki into custody, Thor shows up and attempts to take him to “face Asgardian justice”

S2, Ep2: as the team takes Peter into custody, Thor shows up and attempts to take him to “face Asgardian justice”

Avengers: the team goes back to SHIELD, puts Loki into the glass cage, Thor tells them about Loki and what he wants

S2, Ep2: the team goes back to PEGASUS (which is technically SHIELD), puts Peter into the glass cage, Thor tells them about Peter/Ego and what he wants

Avengers: events that lead to the final fight that do not match each other

S2, Ep2: events that lead to the final fight that do not match each other

Avengers: final fight with Loki and his army

S2, Ep2: final fight with Ego and his army

[edit 12/28/23:

Avengers: montage of the ending and where everyone went and what they were doing with someone talking over it

S2, Ep2: montage of the ending and where everyone went and what they were doing with someone talking over it]

SO IN CONCLUSION, their story lines are strangely similar…

What if Episode 2

THERE ARE SO MANY EASTER EGGS! AND REFERENCES

Peggy and Howard being shook after seeing the winter soldier was crazy and then calling it rumour that it’s Bucky.

And Winter soldier talking felt a bit weird probably because he doesn’t, and mention of Steve! Howard talking with Bucky so that he doesn’t shoot Peter Quill was insane.

And then him saying that Cap is saving his ass ahaha

Hope and Peter getting to know each other was great too I honestly thought he might attack her.

The unlikely team up during the Cold War with the Russians ahaha

Hank, King T’Chaka, Wendy Lawson, Bill Foster and Thor

Th mention of teseract, Kree and Peter picking up the raccoon toy I mean love the details

Thor showing up? It was hilarious and Peter saying I’m Starlord that felt great and just blasted out Ego.

It felt good, avengers team up in the 80s

Very Good

What If Season 2 was very good, few complaints except for a few plot holes (I love Captain Carter, but if using all the infinity stones at once killed Tony Stark, it probably should have at least scorched her up like it did to Bruce's arm). But ye I loved every episode, even the ones I expected to dislike like the Nebula and Hela ones. Kahorri was awesome and her episode was also awesome. 80s Avengers was probably my favorite, Happy Hogan Christmas was decent, the Sakaar episode was very fulfilling, Captain Carter had a solid sequel (and old Bucky), the Avengers Medieval/Renaissance AU was brilliant (and had a cool setup albeit confusion on how the time stone brought certain characters there, and restored Thor's hair), and the finale was pretty good. All in all I'm very happy this season exists and that the show seems to be gaining popularity and it only makes me more excited for the confirmed season 3 and the Marvel Zombies show that should feature Kamala Khan (goes to a corner and squeals in excitement).

THIS. THIS IS WHAT I MEAN WHEN I SAY STUCKY IS CANNON. TY BISH FOR PUTTING IT INTO WORDS. *screeeches*

I don't know what you expected but I am still not done talking about the infamous fifth episode of the What If...? show.

Spoiler warnings ahead.

Throughout the episode, while trying to pull Steve out of the mind control, Peggy keeps repeating "Steve, this isn't you, wake up" an abnormal amount of times. It's actually sickening how lacking the scriptwriting is, at least for her character.

Bucky interacts with Steve for barely a minute and even then, his efforts to get Steve back display a wider vocabulary than Peggy's throughout the whole episode.

Furthermore, I'd like to break down and compare Steve's words to Bucky and CATWS, and Peggy's words to Steve in What If...?

Steve: "I'm not gonna fight you," and here he drops the shield into the river below, "you're my friend."

Moments later, as Bucky nearly punches him to death, saying "YOU'RE! MY! MISSION!", Steve's calm, collected response is "then finish it, cause I'm with you till the end of the line."

Yes, tear-jerking, we know. Let's move on.

Peggy, having gone up against Steve in a huge (around the same size as the armour Tony built in the cave) metal suit, made of plutonium or something, and still standing straight up, says:

"I don't want to fight you, I can't fight you anymore. I'm done fighting, I've been fighting for so long, to end the war, to forget what I lost...I'm tired. Steve, I want to be with you. I want you, even if this is the end."

Keeping aside the frustrating repetition of the word "fight" in just a few lines of Peggy's speech, let's look at the motivation behind both the dialogues.

Peggy talks about herself. About how she is tired of the war and of losing people, how she tries to forget how Steve isn't in her life anymore, about how she wants to be with him. Her entire purpose is not to save him, but to save him for herself. Her actions come from a selfish point of view, and by the time she says this, she is far from being as battered and bruised as MCU Steve. In fact, she gets away with just a couple of bruises at the most.

On the other hand, Steve's intention was to free Bucky from Hydra's torture, to protect his childhood best friend and lover. He had been shot multiple times, stabbed at least once, had his skin split open in several areas when he dropped the final bombshell. Steve was nearly dying while he was saying all that; yes he would've loved a second chance at life with Bucky by his side, but it was never his primary focus.

His primary focus was making sure Bucky had a second chance at life, even if he himself died trying. It was as if to say "I may die right here right now, but I love you too much to hurt you any further than I already have. You've always been more dear to me than life itself, so if your mission is truly to kill me, you know I'll support you in it even as you're taking my last breath out of me. All I ask for is your safety and well-being."

And it shows in the consequences too - in CATWS, Bucky not only regains just enough of his memories to stop, but also pulls Steve out of the Potomac before he can drown to death and places him somewhere he knows Sam and Nat and the others will easily spot him.

On the contrary, Hydra Stomper Steve barely shows any affection, shock or remorse towards the woman in front of him, but instead, he flies up to the Red Room and destroys it. It is unclear whether he survives the crash himself.

Like I said before, despite Marvel trying their absolute hardest to push StevePeggy as the superior pairing, they still end up portraying Steve and Bucky's (I say romantic, because Steggy mirroring Stucky proves the latter to be a romance) bond to be far stronger than that of Steve with a woman he only knew for a couple of years at most during a world war.

They dug their own grave and cannot crawl their way out of it. Stucky prevails.

It's Pathetic That People These Days Still Think That Superheros In Media Are Dying.

It's Pathetic That People These Days Still Think That Superheros In Media Are Dying.

It's pathetic that people these days still think that superheros in media are dying.

But honestly, they just be cynical and rather focus bashing on stinkers like Madame Web, listening to grifters and revolutionizing any bad superhero film and say a stupid hot take and than give films Blue Beatle, The Marvels, any great and fun film an chance.

Echo and Peacemaker was good and I can't wait for new shows like Agatha, Penguin, Ironheart or any projects whether MCU or DC.

But I think people should give superhero cartoons a chance.

What if brought a endless possibilities to the MCU, bringing it's familiar characters in whole new perspective and gives a lot for the audience to explore the multiverse and wanting more.

Invincible is a show I did not expect, both gruesome and captivating pretty similar to a another Amazon show, The Boys.

But it wonderfully shows the ups and downs of a superhero, making it's welcome in the list of your shows that must be watched for the experience.

Also no surprise since it's based off a comic book created by the people who also made The Walking Dead.

My Adventures with Superman introduced a new version of Superman's world that actually feels bright and hopeful unlike the Zack Snyder films that try to bring but forgotten in the last minute.

Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur bring the titular characters in the spotlight, paving the way for a new black superhero with amazing diversity, colorful animation and character design and an addicting soundtrack like Black Panther and the Spider-verse films.

X-Men 97 is holy grail of all revivals and the one that beats the original. Back on my X-Men 97 review, I said that I haven't grow up on the original and due that I was born in 2002 but I started watching the original lately because of this show.

It's one of the best and refreshing marvel shows I ever watched, it felt like anything from the show has never left, but with an better style and unique writing that the writers should definitely be a part of the MCU's version.

I just love how we are introduce to a new era of animated superhero shows, with astonishing performances, amazing writing and peak designs.

Growing up from shows like Static Shock, Teen Titans, Iron Man: Armored Adventures, Fantastic Four: Wgh and Spectacular Spiderman.

I was in for these shows when they got announced and hoped to see more shows like this in the future.

I hope you should give these shows a chance because animation is the backbone for superhero shows and media in general in my opinion.
