Synopsis
From the delightfully wicked minds of Henry Selick (director of The Nightmare Before Christmas and Coraline) and Jordan Peele (Nope, Us, Get Out) comes the story of Kat (Lyric Ross), a troubled teen haunted by her past, who must confront her personal demons, Wendell & Wild (played by Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele) to start a new life in her old hometown.
Already watched it… IT WAS SO GOOD!
Hey babes the movie “Wendell & Wild” is out on Netflix now, how about you support a film with a mostly black cast, a canonically trans character, stop-motion animation which is incredibly hard to do and rare to find, a unique style and more important than all of that: an original story and idea. It’s a very fun family film for older kids/ preteens but it did so many things that will have so many groups boycott it. So give it a watchy-watch and then yell about it on twitter or tiktok or whatever you cool people use. Do it for me! <3
A headcannon I thought of that I may make into a fic, mainly because we need more of Wendell and Wild being protective uncles/big brothers to Kat Slight spoilers
What if when, when the fever Kat was under was destroyed, wasn’t destroyed completely and there was still somewhat of a bond between her and the demons that let them know when she was in danger and vice versa?
The way they could’ve discovered this was when a few months after the movie took place, while W&W were planning and building their Dream Fair Kat and a lot of the RBC girls went ice skating. Unfortunately some of the ice was beginning to get thin and one of the kids, perhaps Raúl, would’ve fallen in the ice if Kat hadn’t used her future vision to save him, but she falls in the ice instead and just completely panics. One, because it’s so cold, the air is slapped from her lungs and she can’t mover her muscles. And two because it reminds her of the night her parents died so she’s completely freaking out. Then as she thinks that this is it, a bright flash of green lights appears and suddenly she’s being pulled out of the water by Wendell and Wild, who put her down on the bank nearby and are worried sick until Kat’s finally able to calm down enough to ask “wait, how did you guys know I was in danger?” And they’re not sure how it works either but they figure it out eventually.
Anyways I may write a full fic on this idea, let me know if I should
Part 3 and Final Part TW: mentions of a panic attack
Wendell and Wild’s p.o.v
“Ok ok, on the count of three, we close our eyes and imagine ourselves in the land of the living. Ok?” Wendell told Wild, holding him by the shoulders, who nodded and put on a focused face. “Think about summoning, summoning symbols, spells, marks, anything just think of being there and saving our Hell Mai- Kat. Got it?” Wild nodded. “Ok good, now on three. One. Two. Three!” There was a bright flash of green light, almost blinding, and then it got dark, dark and cold but the brothers hardly felt it. Demons don’t get cold, plus their minds were too focused on saving their best friend, who has shown them how fun the land is the living is over the past three months, shown them human culture and what it’s like, the one human who showed them that second chances are a thing and that anyone can be changed for the better. Their friend who they never knew they needed until they had her. But where were they? Did it work? Wendell felt his shoulders being shaken roughly and opened his eyes to see that they were under water, IT WAS WORKED! Wendell wanted to cheer, they actually did something that most only thought was a myth, but the cheer was cut short upon seeing Wild pointing to Kat, who was sinking just below the surface of the ice. Within an instant the two had their hands around her arms and were hauling her out of the water.
Kat’s p.o.v
Kat faintly felt her arms being grabbed by two sets of hands, both working to gently pull her out of the icy water, her lungs inhaling as much air as possible once her head emerged from it and breathing it out just as quickly, setting up a quick pace that was growing faster by the second due to an oncoming panic attack. She felt her body being moved, or rather “flown” to the bank of the pond where she was gently set down. She could hear the incredibly panicked voices of what seemed to be two people, but they were muffled and distant as id in another room. She couldn’t focus on them though even if she wanted to, all she think of were the sounds of her breaths and heartbeat, frantic in her chest along with the thoughts of drowning in ice cold water, it filling her lungs and freezing them up. Sinking into the void never to be seen again. These thoughts flared and consumed her mind until,,, until she felt two pairs of arms wrapped around her in a warm embrace despite just being in freezing water. As Kat slowly came to her senses she realized she was being hugged by none other than her two demons, and slowly her breathing went back to normal, her fear dropped down enough to where she could finally tell what was going on. Normally Kat disliked hugs, and physical contact all together, but this one was a hug of protection, one that said “we nearly lost you” a hug that Kat so desperately needed to feel after losing her parents for the second time. The three of them stayed like that for a small while, with Wendell and Wild hugging her between them and Kat holding on to their arms as she desperately tried to hold back the tears in her eyes that were threatening to spill over, out of everything she disliked, crying in front of others was the one she hated most. Thankfully she was saved from the breakdown by Raúl and the RBC girls rushing over to see if she was ok. “I’m fine guys, it was just a small dip in the water, I’m ok” that last part was directed more towards the demons brothers who let go and looked at her, again with worried expressions, making sure she was fully ok. “Hell Maiden! If we ever see you skating around thin ice again, we will go straight to Sister Helley and make her ground you so you have no other choice than to stay inside.” Wendell said in a mock threatening tone which was followed up by a “Yeah!” From Wild. Kat gave them a small scowl saying “yeah right,” but switched focus when she realized, “Wait, how did you guys know I was in danger?” “Oh, well you see, we got this gut feeling,,” Wild went on to explain how they were able to use the mark to see that she was in danger and therefore summon themselves to help her. While still unsure of how it all worked out, Kat had to admit to herself that this ability, was very,, cool? Yeah, she decided, it was cool as hell and she knew she’d be dead if it weren’t for the two demon brothers she had to save her.
That is until a few days later when Kat gets sick with the flu from that damned cold water! And she almost kinda wishes she were dead. Since Demons can’t catch human diseases like, well, humans can the demon brothers offer to help take care of her and she’s fine with it at first, until they become absolute helicopter brothers, showing up and adding another blanket to the already mountain high pile on her if she even so much as sneezes more than three times in a row. But to make up for all of the fussing they were able to get a book from sister Helley that might just explain more about the history of Hell Maiden’s and how they connect to their demons.
The end, sorry if this feels kinda rushed I was running out of writing juice lol. Thanks for all the likes so far, I’ll definitely be adding more head cannons and maybe smaller ficlets in the future :D

I just had this thought, mainly just loved the idea of them wearing onesies in the first place. What kind would they each wear? I possess no art skills whatsoever so if someone wanted to draw it please feel more than welcomed to :)
What do you guys think everyone’s favorite animal would be? I’m not sure about the others but I have a feeling Wild would love possums or some other animal like that, (and yes this is partially because of the fanart of them wearing onesies by @batdemonthing) but I feel like he’d find them so funky

What if Wendell and Wild were cats, and I don’t mean metaphorically but actually cats?
Since the new RBC school is just about finished as well as the Dream Fair Wendell and Wild want to hang out with Kat and friends more, but since not everyone new there is used to seeing Demons out and about, they learn how to shapeshift and turn into cats.
At first they tried dogs, but the fleas were hell. Then they tried reptiles, people didn’t like that too much either. And they also tried parrots, but they always got a bit too loud. So they finally settled on cats. Nice, quiet, small, and especially cute and cuddly, it was perfect! Everyone loves them and they can easily follow Kat wherever, even in class (if Sister Helley allows it).
Plus as a bonus everyone at the school think it’s cool and a little cute even how the girl named Kat always has two (brightly purple colored) cats, one long and lanky, the other short and round, following her around the halls.
Bored and can’t sleep, so here’s what I think everyone’s favorite video game genre, and game, would be:
Kat: Indie games, we already know this girl likes vintage stuff as seen from her dads cyclops, so I feel like this fits well. Either that or zombie games. Her favorite one is Off by Mortis Ghost.
Raúl: Interactive role playing one’s, his favorite is Life is Strange, and yes he cries every single time he plays it.
Siobhan: Life simulation games, especially ones where you get to make stuff all cutesy and decorative, surprise surprise her favorite is Animal Crossing. Her, Sloane, and Sweetie all have matching islands.
Sister Helley: this may come as a surprise but it’s actually horror games! Like, she really loves horror games. She’s played (and won) every single Fnaf game, and when the Outlast series was coming out she was always first in line as they are her favorite from having the most gore in them.
Manberg: Retro video games, they’re the ones he mainly grew up with and he never bothered playing any of the newer ones so. Good old fashioned Street Fighters is his favorite, the only person he can’t beat at it is Helley (cause she’s badass at everything).
Father Bests: Tamagotchi
Wendell: Rhythm games. He loves doing things to the beat of the music so he can jam out while having fun. His favorite is Friday Night Funkin (though he often rage quits 10 minutes into playing).
Wild: Cooking games, since it’s pretty much canon in the fandom that he likes to eat, and possibly cook, non edible foods I just feel like he’d also love playing cooking games and just fucking around in them, not taking anything seriously. He loves any Cooking Mama game, they bring him comfort. (Just imagine him sitting at the computer with his little legs swinging while he plays 😭)
And finally, Buffalo Belzer: He doesn’t really play video games cause, you know, he’s always underground. But if he gets the chance too he likes playing first person shooters (I got the idea mainly because my dad plays them lmao) and he’s played Doom many, many times.
Drinking hot chocolate and watching Wendell and Wild. Name a better combo I’ll wait
