Okay so since we all agree that Moonpaw's parents being literal first cousins or something is WEIRD. I'll write an alternative backstory for Moonpaw.

Alright. So. I really want to keep Bayshine her dad, mostly because I love Bayshine. Bay really wants kits, like a lot. Though because he's not interested in any Thunderclan cat (most of them are related to him anyway), he seeks out non-Thunderclan cats to possibly surrogate for him without telling anyone else. A mysterious she-cat Kittypet (who isn't spayed) agrees to surrogate for him and she'll give him the kits when they're born.

Moons after Bayshine and this Kittypet meet up and she gives him three kittens. One of them catches his eye, a uniquely black and ginger Chimera. He names her Moonkit to honor her half black face that looks like the Moon (like in canon!) Bayshine lies and says that he found these kits abandoned. Although he cannot feed these kits himself so he allows another Queen (who I haven't figured out yet, maybe Sunbeam?) nurse his kits.

I have my own Headcanon that even before Larksong died Sparkpelt had depression. Though it was mild and she hid it well from her family. After Larksong died however she experienced Postpartum Depression in combo with PDD (Persistent Depressive Disorder). PDD can trigger with a traumatic event, in this case the death of her mate Larksong. PPD can also be triggered by the death of a loved one, but is seen in mothers! So she has both basically.

She loved her kits a lot, but didn't feel the energy to take care of them. Flamekit (Nightheart) looked too much like Larksong which caused her to cry every time she saw him. That's kinda why she distanced herself from him, even if she knew it was wrong.

I recall in SH where Sparkpelt says that she gets upset (plus tummy aches) when her parents fight. Just wanted to say that.

Headcanon / Au that came to mind.

What afterlife a cat goes to is mostly determined by if they think they deserve to go to Starclan, The Dark Forest, or neither.

Frecklewish (TC) in her last moments thought she deserved the Dark Forest. She thought that it was her fault, everything. Mapleshade getting exiled, her kits drowning, she even thought her brother's death was her fault. So with all that guilt and regret she thought she deserved hell.

So, when she found out that Ravenwing and Oakstar didn't go to the Dark Forest. Well. She was a bit mad. She thought they deserved it. She couldn't find Oakstar, but she found Ravenwing and dragged him to the Dark Forest.

° I always thought he genuinely had respect for Scourge even though he knew Scourge was lying about killing a dog.

° Also i thought he would teach young Scourge things that his mom didn't teach, i don't see them as ship but as one sided father x son relationship.

° Scourge canonically seeing Bone below his level is kinda sad to me but i think Scourge respects him too. Even as his sidekick.

° If Bone was a human i think he would be British.

° And punk, too.

° Also i think he is British shorthair.

° According to my design i thought he was a cute kittypet once too, then left behind and became a tough street cat.

° I tried to make his pattern look like a cows because i thought it would be funny.

° Also!!! I like to think that Bigteeth and Bone are brothers.

° There are no color gender standards in warrior cats so i think Bone assumes pink is "manly" enough for him. That's the reason he didn't take off his cute pink collar.

[° I always thought of him having a skull-like marking on his face.

° Also lots of scars. Because he is, like, a Bloodclan cat and they are supposed to be edgy.

° I really like idea of him having something luxurious as an accessory. First i thought "collar with gold!" But then i decided to give him a fluffy pink something.

° To make him look even more bulky i gave him some muscle and to make him look tough i gave him small irises and heavy eyebrows.

° He is just a little bit chubby. And i thought he got his name "Bone" not just because of skull marking but also because of his body type.]

[- He is so unironically cool. First reading about him i thought he would be not a really good character but now i think he is actually a good character, he would be such a good warrior if he wasn't evil.]
