Why does Paul give off the vibe that he is both a cat person but also allergic to cats

I find it very implausible that the Schue-Horyn parents would name one of their twins Artemis and not name the other Apollo, so I think there are only two explanations for this:

Paul is short for Apollo (Apollo -> Pollo -> Pol -> Paul)

Artemis is trans
