character: kalim al-asim, twisted wonderland
contains: yandere themes, knife, murder (mentioned, not described), reader referred to in second person pov, gender neutral reader
You'd never have expected this from Kalim.
Sure, you knew he was a bit much when it came to you - in honesty, you had brushed him off as a bit possessive, nothing more.
That was a mistake, you saw now.
Standing in front of you was Al-Asim himself, a crazed look on his face as he spouted sweet nothings that were more off-putting than you could describe, behind him a body that had long since stopped breathing.
It was someone that had flirted with you just earlier - nothing you had paid actual attention too, instead just brushing him off, but apparently Kalim took it personally.
"What is it, jewel?" He asked once more, repeating his question from when you had first found him in this position. With knife in hand and blood staining his clothes, you had all but screamed, tears coming to your eyes in fear.
You didn't know what you could do. Where you could go, what you could say.
"You know you can tell me anything, right? Whatever it is, I promise I can take care of it for you! Just like him!" Kalim answers, in that all too familiar tone of cheer that did anything but fit the situation. "Really, anything that's bothering you, just let me know!"
When you answered that this was the problem, his eyes visibly darkened, and you couldn't help but take a step back, afraid as to what he could do. You had never seen him look like that before.
"Hm? What're you talking about?" He seems almost delusional, letting the knife drop from his hand and clearing the distance between you in one fell swoop, holding your chin to force you to look at him with a gentle grip. "Jewel, you love me, remember? Just look at me! There's no need for you to worry about him. He was in the way!"
His expression only grows more lovesick, and if in any other situation the hearts in his eyes could've been described as cute.
You try to tell him that this isn't what you wanted, that there was no reason to kill him, but all that does is rile him up further - his grip growing stronger as he pulled you closer, bodies practically flush.
"Here, look, let me remind you how much you love me. You really aren't acting like yourself, you know? That's okay though! I'll always be here for you, jewel!"
He brings you into a kiss before you can say anything else, grasp on your chin leaving to hold the back of your head, his other arm snaking around your waist and guaranteeing you no escape.
Even if you were to try and struggle, he doesn't let you leave until he's satisfied, humming and trailing kisses down your neck, seemingly eager to claim you as his own.
"You'll stay with me, won't you? We're meant to be, after all!"
