⛨ POTENT PROTECTION OIL ⛨
(Actually this can be made into incense, a spray or even a candle but it’s good to make a oil of it to anoint yourself or other things. This recipe is also very good with protection against spirits and or malevolent entities, along with those who wish you harm/ill and or give negative vibes)
What you’ll need:
Marjoram (This is a very powerful herb for overall protection. However don’t be surprise if your spirit friend/companion goes away for a bit due to this herb, it can make spirit communication a bit difficult.) I thank my grandmother (who is a native medicine women) for telling me this.
Salt (For obvious reasons!)
Frankincense essential oil or resin (Frankincense is considered to be holy and was said to be given from a Archangel)
Willow or sage (both are very good for protection and protection against evil)
A Carrier oil (or not if your making this into a loose incense)
A container to put it all in
OPTIONAL THINGS:
You can use Moon/Sun water instead of oil
If your making it a loose mixture, place a crystal in it to keep it charged!
You can place the mixture within sun or moon light to charge it or make it more potent
If you don’t like the smell of Frankincense you can use Lavender, Peppermint, Dragon’s blood, Myrrh or Rose essential oil or resin.
You can add the following herbs for more potency: Mandrake root, Lavender, Lemongrass, Rose, Basil, Wormwood, Bay, Sandalwood, Cedar, Pine, Cinnamon, Juniper/Juniper berries, Dill, rosemary.
Directions: This is pretty self explanatory. You add everything into the bottle (BUT REMEMBER TO ADD YOUR INTENT ALSO!) I can’t stress this enough guys! You can add as much or as little as you want to your own mixtures!

Did some warding today on my doors and windowsill with the new sigil I made to make sure my personal spaces are protected from unwanted darkness :)
Sigil meaning: Only light will enter here.
Feel free to use for yourself if it speaks to you, though I have a hard time finding sigils that speak to me as well those I make myself (and I find the process of making very therapeutic)
Wishing light and love to all in these dark times🌿
Low Spoons Warding
It was time to upgrade my wards for my home, so I thought I would share how I do this as a disabled witch.
My favorite method for an outer ward, when my disability will allow it, is to walk around the outside of my house, envisioning a protective forcefield and speaking an incantation. However, walking even short distances is difficult for me a lot of times. So for when that happens, I developed a different method.
Using Google Maps, look up your home address (or whatever other buildings you'd like to ward), and save a screenshot of it. Go into any image editing software and draw a circle(s) around the building while speaking your incantation and envisioning the shield. Do this as many times as you feel is needed. You can even draw a sigil over the building for some extra protection.
(Poorly drawn example image below because I'm not showing you my house lol)

“Nayru’s Love” Parasite Warding Spell (Legend of Zelda Inspired)
A warding spell to protect the user from emotional leeches that may want to cause the caster distress.

You Will Need:
💙 Small Jar or Capsule You Can Wear or Carry - must be sealing!
💙 Crystal Chips/Crushed Crystals of One or More of the Following:
💙 Fluorite 💙 Clear Quartz 💙 Labradorite 💙 Jet
💙 Dried Basil
💙 Dried Cloves
💙 A Blue Candle
💙 A White Candle
💙 Heart-Shaped Bead, Small Charm or Trinket (must fit in bottle/container)
💙 Optional:
💙 Legend of Zelda Music
💙 Incense Associated with Protection
💙 Additional White or Blue Candles

Set Up:
Make sure you are in a clear and clean space that doesn’t have any hazards for burning candles. Tie back your hair if it is long and roll up any long sleeves to avoid them catching fire. Light any incense you may wish to burn and make sure it is set up somewhere away from your work space so it does not get knocked over. A flat surface is best for working on this particular spell. Lay out any wax paper or paper towels if desired for easier clean up - melted wax will be used in this spell. For easier pouring of herbs and crystal chips into the container you can use a spoon or make a paper funnel if desired and keep it close at hand. Cleanse your workspace before beginning your spell.
The Spell:
💙 Make sure your blue and white candles are burning but out of the way, let them burn during the duration of the spell
💙 In your container layer in your herbs and crystals. The order or method is up to you though I usually put herbs on the bottom, crystal chips on top.
💙 Place your heart bead inside of bottle and seal it with a cork or its lid
💙 Using your candles (after extinguishing them) use their melted wax to seal the top of the bottle, careful this can get messy
💙 Once sealed place in a windowsill or other area overnight to charge - best to be done during a full moon

Use and Maintaining Spell:
Carry or wear the charm bottle with you to help repel parasites - remember this is not a replacement for regular cleansing or warding practices for yourself or your spaces. You should still continue to cleanse your home and yourself regularly. This bottle will need to be cleansed regularly and recharged using a mixture of your own energy and that of the moon (or other sources if needed). If needed, sometimes the contents of the jar may need to be changed every five or six months, you will know when to do this because the spell jar itself will feel much weaker than when you first made it. Reseal it with new wax after it has been refilled.

Psellia’s Winds of Protection Warding Spell (Neopets Inspired)
“It was through her efforts that the dark clouds were whisked away, and the sun shone down on the brave knights of Meridell as they attacked the citadel.” - Neopets Gallery of Heroes
A protective spell to create a safe, protected space for the use of magic and rituals or simply protecting one’s home. This spell goes hand in hand with warding spells. This spell is best performed outside.

You Will Need:
🌪️ Open Space
🌪️ Hand-fan or Besom (up to preference)
🌪️ Rosemary or Lavender Incense
Set Up:
To set up for your spell make sure you have plenty of move, this spell does require some movement. Light your incense and let it burn nearby but out of the way of risk of being hit, stepped on or knocked over. Make sure not to burn incense in a room with small mammals, birds, or other pets that may become ill due to it. This spell works best outdoors so if you can be outside that is for the best, if this is just not an option make sure you have good ventilation and air flow with open windows.

The Spell:
🌪️ Once you have found your area and have cleansed yourself, light your incense and set it where it will not be in the way.
🌪️ Take your chosen tool in hand and stand form with it holding it out before you.
🌪️ “I call the winds and air, to aide my needs, protect my dwelling, prevent misdeeds!”
🌪️ While chanting use your tool of choice to create sweeping or big ‘pushing’ motions of air away from you, like you are sweeping away dirt or dust. Make sure your tool if using a besom, does not actually sweep the ground. If the winds are particularly favorably they may even start to blow for you, but not always the case especially if buildings or tall fences are around.
🌪️ Do this pushing motion while walking in a good amount of area like you are cleaning it. While doing this, imagine the winds and air, no matter how light, blowing away dust and darkness away from your home or room or area you are trying to protect. This flow continuing keeping all of the dust and dirt at bay no matter how hard said dust tries to get back in. Visualize this, feel the wind and air moving through the area and put a lot of effort into this.
🌪️ You will feel exhausted by the end of it but if done right, you will be able to feel the new warding spell around you and the area. Extinguish the incense if needed or let burn if desired.. Take a good rest.
🌪️ This spell will need to be redone and maintained once or twice a month to keep the area protected. Be sure to still regularly cleanse and check your wards.

Shell Armor Warding Spell (Pokemon Inspired)
A spell to ward yourself from curses and baneful magick and energies.

You Will Need:
Small container that can easily be carried (jar, bottle, box, sachet, baggy etc)
Crushed Scallop Shells
Crushed Oyster Shells
Sea Salt
Sandalwood
Steps:
In your container add in your ingredients. Mix them together well if desired though not required. Seal shut the container to make sure it doesn’t open and spell its contents. Charge it overnight in the moonlight, with the ringing of bells (real or recorded) or with the sounds of ocean waves. Wear or carry it to keep you protected and negative, baneful energy at bay. Cleanse and charge it every few weeks.
When wearing/carrying it visualize it creating large shells made out of energy that encloses you safe and sound. Any baneful energy that tries to touch you is blocked by the strong shells and you are like a clam or scallop, safe inside.
Simple Home Wards
For outside:
Drive sturdy sticks into the corners of your property to bolster those areas and strengthen wards. It adds firm definition to where you are warding. Using sticks from your property is a great way to connect everything on your land
Hammer three nails in the ground near your front door to act as a potent warning to spirits below.
Use solar powered lights to line your path to the door to keep it feeling bright, warm, and inhabited. Keep a small light on your keys and it will help to keep you from getting lost. Make sure to program all lights and keychain lights at the same time to sync them together.
Enchant wreaths to draw in abundance and repel misfortune and negative entities.
Choose a striking door knocker to act as a guardian against thieves and predators.
Plant hardy flowers and bushes that are native to/thrive in your area around all entrances and exits. Find out what the bees in your region like (if possible)!
Use windchimes to ward off entities looking for stagnant places. Sound and motion tend to clear away that kind of energy.
Draw (or use energy instead of a drawing utensil) a sigil on the outer walls of your home, especially on pillars and doorframes. You can do this before your home is completely built if you are in that process!
Draw similar sigils and/or statements on your driveway in the summer to bake them into your land and charge them. You can use water in a squeeze bottle to do this as well, and it will fade away immediately if your area is hot.
During the winter, you can also use water to cut through the snow or to freeze onto your property. Be careful, of course, and bear in mind where you or your pets may walk.
Use potted flowers to hide non-deteriorating crystals and wards. Put permanent wards inside the pots before planting.
For inside:
Enchant and place coins or other small tokens above every doorway and in every windowsill of your home to draw in wealth and repel malevolent forces. Bobby pins, dimes, toothpicks. It all works, but I recommend charging them every month or so.
Hang tapestries or other kinds of wall decor to break up stretches of potentially stagnant spaces. Clocks move and typically have a sound, which have always served me well in cleansing and keeping up with the flow of energy.
Salt lamps are actually quite useful. They are very dangerous for animals and small children, though. If you're good with the lamps being safe, they are excellent at cleansing, warming up, and protecting an area.
Rugs can be used to make wards all ob their own. You can create a design on the underside if you want, or just use energy to enchant it.
Wipe vents down with some sort of ritually clean and positively charged solution. Gem elixir, moon water, herbal tincture, etc.
Enchant fixtures already setup to protect you and your family. Smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, security systems, locks, etc. Use energy opposed to physical materials for most of these to protect their functionality.
Ward your attic. Birds get in, squirrels get in, entities and energies get in.
If you have a chimney, ward the fireplace or surrounding objects. Grates and screens are awesome for this.
Mabon Annual Autumn Window Warding 🍂
And Other Mabon Traditions 🍁🌾

Ward your windows each fall to protect your home from negativity throughout the upcoming year.
You Will Need:
Howlite Stones (one for each window you wish to Ward)
Black Obsidian Stones (one for each window you wish to Ward)
For the Window Warding:
Take your stones outside in a basket or satchel and sit on the ground, holding the stones in your hands.
Say, “Black and White, Dark and Light, The Summer is done, and Winter comes, guard my home and all who dwell here, keep us safe until this time next year.”
Take the stones out of the basket or satchel and place them on the ground before you. Let them take in the energy of the earth beneath them, and take this time to imbue them with your intentions.
When you feel ready, gather the stones back up into the basket or satchel and take them back inside.
In each window you wish to Ward, place a piece of black obsidian in the left side of your windowsills to banish negativity, and place a piece of howlite in the right side of your windowsill to invite peace and calm into your home.
Afterwards, you may want to cleanse your home to reset the energy of your home for the winter. I also find this is a great time to get some fall cleaning done!
Other Mabon Traditions and Ideas:
Make pumpkin waffles with honey for breakfast, and enjoy them outside, weather permitting 🧇
Take a nature walk 🍂
Bury old charms, satchels, and spell jar contents and remake new ones
Enchant jewelry or create protection charms
Prepare a wonderful dinner with plenty of fresh vegetables for your family or friends
Gather acorns to make charms
Eat some fresh apples, or go to an orchard and pick apples with friends 🍎
Make a pumpkin pie or squash soup 🥧
Collect leaves to decorate your altar 🍁
Cleanse your home 🧹
Warding
I've covered warding recently in my protection post. But here I will go into more detail on what warding is, the most popular ways to ward and how to create them as well as when to know when a ward is no longer useful or has been broken. I will also go into baneful warding and what it is.
What is warding?
Warding is a form of defensive magick which acts as your first line of defense against negativity. Be this baneful magick from another practitioner or negative entities and general negative energy. There are multiple ways to ward with each practitioner warding differently to the other. Wards come in all shapes and forms, and there is no limit as to how much warding you should do, you protect yourself as you see fit.
What is baneful warding?
Baneful warding is a form of warding in which the negative that hits a ward gets sent back to its source. Baneful warding is seen as a more "advanced" form of magick, however not too advanced for a novice to do with the appropriate amount of research. Baneful warding can come in the same forms as normal warding would.
Warding jars
Perhaps one of the most common wardings on this post, warding jats usually contain ingredients charged with the intention of warding. These ingredients usually range from herbs to bodily fluids such as saliva or blood. These jars are either buried on the practitioners property, left above entryway, left on an altar, or are carried with the practitioner when they want protection on the go.
A warding jar might contain: ashes of a warding sigil, bodily fluids, herbs and plants, crystals, bones, warding or protection oils, spices, metals, glass shards etc. These jars are then sealed with black or white wax (or are sealed in any other way, with glue, tape or simply just with intention).
When a warding jar is broken, you might find the contents of the jar to become moldy, the jar shatters, the seal might break or the contents of the jar to go off, you also might feel that the jar no longer has its power. When this happens, if the jar is intact, break the seal and empty the contents into the bin/trash or return them back to the earth. You can then cleanse the jar with your preferred method of cleansing and reuse the jar for another ward or spell.
Talismans and symbols
Talismans are objects which are charged with the intention fo protection or warding. A well known example would be the Nazar, known to ward off the evil eye.
Symbols are used to represent something or represent an intention example would be the pentacle/pentagram, a well known protection symbol. Another example could by the Eye of Horus, a symbol used by the Ancient Egyptians for protection, health and restoration.
You can create your own talismans and symbols to aid in warding. These might be used to ward against a specific thing, or can be used as a general ward to all negativity.
A talisman or symbol might break or feel like they're no longer useful once theyve done thier job. If this time comes, you can simply dispose of the old one and create a new one.
Sigils
Sigils are created and can be programmed with any purpose necessary. May this be warding ot cursing, they can be used for almost any working.
Sigils can be burnt to activate them, with the ashes being used in spells to add extra power. Sigils can be put up around your house or around your room for warding. These sigils can look like anything, simply draw them with the intention of warding.
Crystals
Crystals can be placed above entryways or in windows to act as a ward. Crystals can also be added to spells to give a desired effect or worn as jewellery to act as warding or protection on the go.
Some examples are: black obsidian, black tourmaline, clear quartz, amethyst, hematite.
When a crystal ward has been broken, the crystal might shatter, or go missing. Or you may feel the crystals energy feels different than usual. With crystals you cam simply cleanse and recharge the crystals to be used again!
Spells
Warding spells can be as simple as a dressed candle, or can be a complex ritual. Warding spells differ from practitioner to practitioner. Similar to warding jars, these spells might include the use of herbs, bodily fluids, crystals, plants etc. The methods of creating a warding spell vary, as there is no one way to create one.
When a ward breaks down, you might feel the ward break, or if it does what is intended, you might feel something bounce off the ward. Depending on the negativity sent your way, the ways in which you might feel a warding spell break down vary, this could range from feeling sluggish or nauseous to downright feeling psychic attack. (Whenever this happens, please consult a doctor, mundane before magical. What you may feel is a magical occurrence could be explained by illness, so please consult a doctor of you feel this way constantly)
Warding is a great form of protection which is used very often in a persons practice. While not all practitioners use warding, this is just to inform you of the ways you can ward to keep yourself safe in your practice!

There are spells and the like translated that involve protecting your house from spooky things by burying tiny dog figurines near the doors and windows. I wonder if something like that would work in an apartment? I might try burying some tiny dog sculptures in the potted plant at my door and so on, coupled with doing my spooky pagan magic stuff. If you’re curious as to what I’m referencing, look up the Dogs of Nineveh. As to what I’m trying to sic magic dogs on, I have no idea, but if I can sense it in all of my totally normal spook-blindness and my medium gf has seen it, clearly I need to do something.
I can’t sleep again so here’s a quick spell if you’re scared of the dark
I used to be scared of the dark up until a few years ago and I feel like not many people know spells that can help dispel the fear (even for a little bit).

First things first, just take a deep breath and feel the air in your lungs and remember that you are the most powerful presence in the room or space where you are. There is nothing chasing or following you, there is nothing watching or trying to harm you, you are almost certainly completely safe.
Next, we should start with some basic energy warding to make you feel a little better. Imagine you are surrounded in a sort of bubble of white light and really draw the energy from your chest and stomach and arms until you can kind of feel the ‘bubble’ around you. This can take a little while to master but when you get the hang of it, it can be so comforting to know you have that protection around you. This can also be much much harder to do if you’re very sad or anxious or scared but don’t give up because you will get there in the end!
Now for a little chant which you can adapt to fit your needs; it should become a mantra of sorts to make you feel at least a little more relaxed: “I am the presence in the darkness, the light that guides me home. No longer am I anxious, I am strong when I’m alone.”
Wherever you are, whether it’s in bed worrying about the pile of clothes that looks like a person or walking late at night and mistaking your footsteps for someone else’s, just remember that there are so many good and beautiful spirits protecting you. Even if it doesn’t feel like it, you’re never helpless or all on your own- there’s always someone or something that can help.
Bonus tip!!
Try carrying protection stones/crystals and herbs on your person, either in a small box or just in your pockets.
Some stones/crystals could include:
Black Tourmaline (the best for general but very powerful protection- helps to boost confidence and repels bad vibes)
Amethyst (helps to get rid of anxieties and is especially useful if you’re travelling or just need comfort)
Smokey quartz (great for reducing fear and anxiety but also amazing for repelling bad vibes)
Pyrite (clears up your mind and acts as a buffer against negative energy)
Malachite (typically associated with protection during pregnancy but can come in major handy if it is gifted to you by a family member as it creates a protecting boundary between you and negative energy)
Some herbs could include:
Basil (generally used for purification but also used for protection especially against perceived bad vibes)
Clove (like malachite it is also used to protect babies and children but is a nice and easy herb to use and acquire for protection)
Ginger (helps boost your energy which in turn makes you more able to protect yourself)
Rosemary (probably the most widely used and best general protection herb- also great for healing!)
Cinnamon (technically a spice but shhh… it has an incredibly diverse set of uses and provides highly energetic protection)
Good luck and blessed be ⍟

Witchcraft: Warding

Warding is the method of casting a shield or barrier to defend and protect a space, person, portal, or item or to deflect potential negative energies and dangers. This is a remarkably important intention to consider and practice.
Methods & Mannerisms:
General:
Adding protective symbols, shapes, or colors into your wardrobe or space. Smoldering incense, bundles, herbal blends, or (legally) blowing smoke. Incorporating a protective sigil, rune, or symbol onto one’s space or body. Using Magickal sprays, mists, and humidifiers with diluted essential oils. Making or purchasing a protective sachet to place or carry around. Enchanting crystals and amulets to wear or store at home.
Personal:
Writing or tracing protective sigils, runes, or symbols on oneself. Magickal topicals, salves, tinctures, lotions, and diluted essential oils. Enchanting something you can wear such as clothing, or jewelry. Enchanting & carrying item that is symbolic & represents you or intent. Casting a bathing or shower ritual; running water is considered very sacred and will protect as well as cleanse your soul of other energies.
Spatial:
Using smoke like an incent, bundle, or blend around your residence. Growing, hanging, or burning protective or plants throughout your space. Enchanting your crystals, salts, herbs, potions with defensive wards. Sealing mirrors, covering them or inscribing them with sigils or symbols. Incorporating holy, moon, rain, rain, stream, or sea water into your home.
this might be a ✨ spicy hot take ✨ but just because servitors aren’t sentient doesn’t mean you can treat them like garbage. you can’t just destroy them because they become sentient and you can’t force them to do things after their sentient. and ffs even while their not sentient treat them with respects. if you aren’t ready to do with the fact the servitors can become sentient and when that happens you need to take care of them and treat them like people when and if they do become sentient, don’t make a servitor! you don’t abandon a child because they start forming their own opinions and thoughts, don’t do it to a servitor.
Warding meditation

This is about a 20-30min meditation.
Start by focusing yourself on your breath for 5 minutes.
Go back to a forest or other outdoor natural setting. Find your sacred space, your personal clearing in the woods that is only yours. It can be a picnic, a tent or a shack. You’ve decorated it yourself with herbs and a circle of flat, white rocks. There are two bushes there, stinging nettle, for protection. Be sure not to touch it.
Sit here and notice your body, where your feet are, how your ankles and knees are bent, where your arms are. Bring your attention to your skin. We’re going to put a silver metal onto it. Imagine the liquid silver climbing up from your toes, up your legs, across your stomach, and up your back, over your shoulders, and up over your head and face. Let the metal harden like armor, able to move when you move but hard enough to keep out anything. Sit and feel what this changes in yourself and how the outside feels like now.
Now imagine this silver armor expanding like an egg around you and encompassing your aura. It is dark in here, in the silver metal. You can place your palm on the metal surface and feel its smoothness.
Expand the silver out further until it is as big as your space, enclosing the picnic and even bigger to gather in the entire clearing which is yours. Let it reach into the trees and form a nice, smooth circle along the ground.
You can barely see the trees here. Let’s make the silver translucent. The hard material changes color, turns to glass, but unbreakable. We can see the trees now, the sun shining down, through the dome. Set your intention to your dome: to be safe, to ward against all influences and spirits not in accordance with your own energy, with peace and quiet.
Lastly. let’s change its material. Let that hard dome shift in an instant to a cloud, airy and still there, still filled with your intent, but we are able to pass through it easily now, able to let our thoughts breathe through it.
Finish by creating a little project here. Gather some twigs or rocks or feathers and flowers and create a symbol or sigil of protection with them.
A pentagram, a spiral going counter-clockwise, circles within squares and squares within circles. As you create, send your intention into your symbols and creation.
Your space is now protected. Sit and feel the difference in its energy. Come back with a big inhalation. Ground afterward with a snack.
