Jaehaera TargaryenđŞť

my headcanon is that she liked starsâ
I know that Naerys' style can be summed up as "Less is More", but I think it was a good symbolism of how she was forced to live a life that not only was not for her but she never wanted it, I think she was always adequate to be a septa, the birth was a danger for her, besides that her husband was an abusive monster and it does not seem that he has done much as queen but it was impossible to influence the politics of the seven kingdoms much if your husband is Aegon the unworthy, but I feel that would show how Viserys was so disconnected from his own children that he didn't really know them, he married his fragile daughter to the son that he knew was a womanizer and that he mistreated her already at that time and allowed his other much more noble son join in an order that requires celibacy and relinquish his right of succession rather than force Aegon the Unworthy to do such a thing and make Aemon his heir; and he might also want to make Naerys happy by giving her something that he considers beautiful based on the tastes of other women close to him (Rhaenyra, Rhaena and Daenaera) but not his own daughter. Anyway your interpretation is beautiful, it's a quite suitable silent luxury dress for Naerys.
Hello I know this question is very silly but come on do you think Naerys was allowed to choose her wedding dress which is possibly simple and white or Viserys decided to be a shitty father again and not let her or decide what to wear in the worst day of her life, and made her wear something extravagant like purple dress with gold embroidery, pearls and Myr lace or something, accompanied by a crown and jewels to demonstrate the power of the iron throne and because she didn't want her daughter to show off like a septa?
Hey this is not a silly question at all! Honestly Iâve seen some pretty neat interpretations of Naerysâ outfits in general, but I have to admit I do find interpretations of her wedding gown to be pretty interesting! While it would be nice if she at least got a say in what sheâd wear for one of the worst days of her life, Iâm pretty inclined to believe that she unfortunately got no say because⌠Well, itâs one of the worst days of her life, she didnât exactly have anything to look forward to. Though I doubt Viserys comissioned a dress with the express purpose of making his daughter miserable, I think it was more something along the lines of him⌠Just not knowing her all that well.
In my own previous art piece I definitely tried to push that interpretation a little bit. Overall, the dress is decently simple- a white satin gown with a cream coloured underdress- theyâre simple, pretty light colours that Iâm sure Naerys dressed in a lot during her childhood. But the rest of her gown is where it derails from what was likely her personal style: Thereâs gold lining everywhere, heavily embroidered with grandiose symbols of the seven and dragons and topped with pearls and light yellow silk- itâs Naerys yeah, but in the most superficial way one could imagine her. Not saying that those things are bad! But I donât think dressing to that level of extravagance is really what Naerys herself would like going off her canon descriptions.
In any case that is just my interpretation of things! As always feel free to form your own opinion, and none of this is really canon to the books!

âAgainst all that, Rhaenyraâs advantages were few. Some older lords might yet recall the oaths they had sworn when she was made Princess of Dragonstone and named her fatherâs heir. There had been a time when she had been well loved by highborn and commons alike, when they had cheered her as the Realmâs Delight. Many a young lord and noble knight had sought her favor then ⌠though how many would still fight for her, now that she was a woman wed, her body aged and thickened by six childbirths, was a question none could answer. Though her half brother had looted their fatherâs treasury, the princess had at her disposal the wealth of House Velaryon, and the Sea Snakeâs fleets gave her superiority at sea. And her consort Prince Daemon, tried and tempered in the Stepstones, had more experience of warfare than all their foes combined. Last, but far from least, Rhaenyra had her dragons.â
Left to right: Princess Rhaenys Targaryen (the Queen That Never Was), Rhaena Targaryen, Baela Targaryen, Prince Daemon Targaryen, Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen, Viserys II Targaryen, Aegon III Targaryen, Jacaerys Velaryon, Lucerys Velaryon, Corlys Velaryon and Joffrey Velaryon.

Day 27 of #teamblackstober, the children bringing Viserys his dragon egg!

nâViserysâs return did much to lessen the kingâs loneliness as well. As a boy Aegon had worshipped his three elder half-brothers, but it was Viserys who shared his bedchamber, his lessons, and his games. âSome part of the king had died with his brother in the Gullet,â wrote Munkun. âIt is plain to see that Aegonâs affection for Gaemon Palehair was born of his desire to replace the little brother he had lost, but only when Viserys was restored to him did Aegon seem once more alive and whole.â Prince Viserys once again became King Aegonâs constant companion, as he had been when they were boys together on Dragonstone, whilst Gaemon Palehair was cast aside and forgotten, and even Queen Daenaera was neglected.â Even the Broken King had happy times with his brother and little queen ) Here I decided to draw Viserys tanned and dressed in bright Lysene clothes. I believe that he wore it for some time after returning to Westeros.

The boy threw back his cowl. As the sunlight glittered on the silver-gold hair beneath, King Aegon III began to weep, throwing himself upon this boy in a fierce embrace. Oakenfistâs âtreasureâ was Viserys Targaryen, the kingâs lost brother, the youngest son of Queen Rhaenyra and Prince Daemon, presumed dead since the Battle of the Gullet, and missing for nigh unto five years.
My last drawing for Targaryen Month 2019! I had to draw this touching scene that had me in tears when I first read it.

Aegon had never forgiven himself for abandoning his brother during the Battle in the Gullet, and so Viserysâs return was the only true joy he had in his reign. For the rest of Aegonâs life, Viserys was the only person Aegon ever fully trusted.

The Blacks of the Dance of the Dragons
I hate drawing children. Even The âStrong Boysâ were a chore (except the twins Baela and Rhaena). I also had trouble with Rhaenyra. I want to redesign her jewelry.

á´ á´É´á´á´ á´ę° á´Ęá´ á´ Ęá´É˘á´É´ęą á´Ąá´á´á´ â Day 2: Royal Family Member â QUEEN RHAENYRA TARGARYEN, the lawful heir to King Viserys
âKing Viserys is dead, long live King Aegon.â Hearing the cries, some wept whilst others cheered, but most of the smallfolk stared in silence, confused and wary, and now and again a voice cried out, âLong live our queen.â
Prince Aegon was with a paramour when he was found. At first, the prince refused to be a part of his motherâs plans. âMy sister is the heir, not me,â he said. âWhat sort of brother steals his sisterâs birthright?â Only when Ser Criston convinced him that the princess must surely execute him and his brothers should she don the crown did Aegon waver.
Rhaenyra heard these terms in stony silence, then asked Orwyle if he remembered her father, King Viserys. âOf course, Your Grace,â the maester answered. âPerhaps you can tell us who he named as his heir and successor,â the queen said, her crown upon her head. âYou, Your Grace,â Orwyle replied. And Rhaenyra nodded and said, âWith your own tongue you admit I am your lawful queen. Why then do you serve my half brother, the pretender? Tell my half brother that I will have my throne, or I will have his head,â she said, sending the envoys on their way.

âThe Third and the Secondâ also known as Aegon III Targaryen and Viserys II Targaryen aka the sons Daemon waited and worked so hard (and likely killed) for - by the incredibly talented and amazing @lupotterdraws
I absolutely had to ask Lu to draw the absolute best kings/brothers Westeros has ever seen and of course that she totally nailed it!!!!!!! They are better than anything I could have ever imagined and they definitely look like the sons of the Rogue Prince and the Realmâs Delight đĽ°đĽ°đĽ°đđđ
A thousand thank yous @lupotterdraws for being so patient and kind and putting up with me!! You are McQueen!
And if you havenât seen the amazing piece Lu did of their parents I donât know what yâall are doing with your lives!Â
PS: For anyone wondering, I asked for Aegonâs clothes to be grey in honour of his best boy Stormcloud đ¤

CANON DAENERYS CHALLENGE ||Â Targaryen legacy: Danyâs Targaryen Line of Descent Since the Conquest

â ď¸HOTD and Fire & Blood Spoilersâ ď¸
In 131 AC, Aegon the 2nd Targaryen died by poisoning, ending the Dance of the Dragons.
You sit on the throne. The war is over.

Are you not glad?

â- named Viserys after his grandsire. The child was smaller and less robust than his brother, Aegon, and his Velaryon half-brothers, but proved to be a most precocious child...-â Fire and Blood yeah still getting around posting again but it probâs gonna be in my own time, but I hope to improve a little bit.Â
Here, have Rhaenyra and her boysÂ
Literally sobbing my eyes out after rewatching episode 8 and the episode 9 trailer. Like Rhaenyra left Kings Landing thinking that she and Alicent were mending their relationship and on the path to being civil and possibly friends again, and then Viserys gorks it and Alicents going to have Aegin crowned and my heart canât take it. Also the seen where Rhaenyra and Daemon introduced Viserys to little Aegon and baby Viserys was wholesome and sad and heartbreaking and I hate feelings. And Helaena and Jace were adorable too.
Crying over the fact that Aemma had a daughter and then lost 5 sons/children and Rhaenyra had 5 sons and then lost her daughter.
