Vincent Phantomhive - Tumblr Posts
Do we have it?
Do we have a name?
I don't know why I get the feeling that undertaker is one of the Phantomhive's descendent.
Like, there is some relationship between Claudia Phantomhive, Ciel's (and his unnamed twin brother who plays the protagonist all along) grandmother, and undertaker which is like marriage or like undertaker is a member of Phantomhive family or something?
Because he protected Ciel from burning and is like ruining the whole world's dead people and killing living people just to find a way to make the real Ciel live.
Another reason is because it was once said that Shinigami-s were also humans, but they committed a suicide and as a punishment had to collect others souls and witness death until the punishment was over.
Also, in one of the side stories, he cries while seeing Vincent Phantomhive's photo, Ciel and the protagonist's father.
And, please clear this doubt of mine
Is the Blue Revenge Arc, the final arc of black butler?
Because the series is going on since 2006, and it is already like 18 years.

Sebastian
He's the loving type and there's nothing you can do to convince me otherwise. Despite being a demon, he'll make sure you're his queen and he's only ever doing what you ask of him. Of course, due to his personality, he'd absolutely love to tease you, but it's more of a love language for him.
Undertaker
His way of showing affection is far more seductive; teasing you often with heart-fluttering jokes and close proximity. He knows the best ways to edge you on and it's really what he wants, however when you do the same he'd tend to get more intimate (in a fluffy way).
Vincent
This man knows he's attractive and what's the least he can do than shower his S/O with gifts and love. He knows his partner's interests and likes, so it's quite simple to pick out good and high quality gifts, and although it isn't common, he doesn't mind physical affection such as hugs or kisses.
🪻 𝕷𝖔𝖛𝖊𝖉
Ciel
What more can you expect from our tsundere king. Ciel isn't the best at expressing his emotions and because of it, it often causes him to come off as cold to his S/O.. however, he is an easily flustered boy, who will definitely become flushed in blush if his partner is just one step too close. He will often buy his partner gifts though.
Alois
He's been through a lot, so he doesn't enjoy the company of someone more than that of his S/O. Now, Alois is a great lover, fight the wall; but he's also quite clingy, and that is mainly because of his fear to lose yet another important person to him, so he'd often have nightmares where he'd need to cuddle up in between your arms.
🪻 𝕭𝖔𝖙𝖍
Grell
There's no need to say, they'd shower you with complements and absolutely die when you do the same. Their affection has no limit and they're willing to sacrifice absolutely anything for you, and of course, they love it when you show the same level of care and sincerity for them.
hypothetical scenario
Ciel coming back from the dead (or just waking up from an unconscious state).
The first thing he mutters when opening his eyes to the blurry face above him? "Father..."
He's a tad bit disappointed when he realizes that it's Sebastian holding him in his arms and not Vincent (curse their physical similarities).
He lost Sebastian while in the toy aisle at Walmart 😞😞😞
I can't because you're 100% correct.

tell me this doesn’t fit perfectly
I know it’s been kind of a while since I posted about my Black Butler Dadbastian Maleficent AU (damn that’s a fucking mouthful lmao) so I’ve been brainstorming a little narrative that sets up the story events.
Here’s what I came up with (as I always say when making shit like this, bear with me lmao)
Once upon a time in a faraway kingdom (or some shit) there was a young peasant.
Vincent was a very poor young fellow, living alone in very poor conditions, spending what little money he has just to buy barely enough food for himself.
One fateful day however, he made a contract with a demon.
The demon called himself Sebastian (or maybe Vincent named him that idfk) and he made the offer of whatever Vincent wanted in exchange for his soul.
Vincent told him that he wanted a wealthy life where he’d have a high level of status and power.
It was established in the contract that when Vincent was at the peak of wealth and power, Sebastian would take his soul.
And so time passes, and eventually Vincent is king, with a castle and a wife and loyal servants and subjects
Now here’s where things kinda get shaky (both in-universe and out, like I’m kinda struggling to think how this story would play out properly)
Sebastian shows up looking for the soul Vincent promised.
Vincent is freaking out like, “No wait please let’s discuss this further” cause like he doesn’t wanna die, not now-
Sebastian’s like “Fine. You wanna live? I’ll give you an alternative” and he makes an offer.
Either Vincent let him have his soul now, or he offers the soul of his then-infant son, Ciel.
It would be stated that once Ciel turns thirteen, his soul would descend into Hell.
Vincent, not knowing what else to do, very hesitantly agrees to the latter.
Sebastian’s like “Very well, I look forward to that day” and disappears into nothingness (if anything he’s pissed off that he has to wait thirteen more fucking years to get a damn soul)
Vincent’s like “oh shit oh shit I fucked up BAD what do I do”
So goes to this fairy (or fairies I dunno) like “please help me”
So uh
You know how in the original Disney sleeping beauty film
The curse was originally “Aurora will die if she pricked her finger on the spinning wheel”
But one of the fairies sort of “waters down” the curse so Aurora would fall into a deep sleep instead of dying? (And she’d be awakened with true love’s kiss and shit)
A similar thing is happening here:
So like the fairy (let’s pretend that Tanaka’s in this role because why the fuck not) he’s like “Okay here’s what I can do”
Instead of descending into Hell, Ciel’s soul would only leave his body and maybe enter a state of limbo or something. (Ciel himself would enter a state of some sort of “suspended animation” one would say.)
As for how to fix it? “True love.”
(Audience note that he doesn’t say “True Love’s Kiss” just true love. Just a bit of foreshadowing that he's not actually talking about romantic love like the characters think)
Idk how logic would play into this shit just
It’s a fairytale world just go with it okay
So just like the film, Ciel is sent off with these three... fairies? Servants?
Okay I know I said the Phantomhive servants (Finny, Mey-Rin, and Baldroy) would play the role of the fairies and they still do
I just don’t know whether they’d be fairies or just Vincent’s castle servants that he trusted with his child
So the rest of the Maleficent plot plays out (Ciel grows up in the woods, Sebastian forms a father-son bond with him) I’d get into more of it but that’s for another time
Oh and uh btw I decided
Agni will be the role of Diaval (aka the crow character who turns human in the Maleficent movie)
We love us some Sebagni
Alright I think that’s about it okaybye-

Why does vincent Look like barbatos here😭

The Sacrifice.

Vincent: My child is fine!
Sebastian: Correction. My child is fine. Your child is a reanimated corpse.
There always comes a point where my brain comes up with aus for my aus. So...
Vincent Phantomhive has become a vampire. Vampires souls are toxic to demons, so Vincent changes Ciel to prevent Sebastian from eating Ciel's soul.
Sebastian is furious. Not just because he won't get to eat Ciel's soul, but because he views it as Vincent hurting Ciel. All immortal beings know that living forever can be tedious at best and painful at worst. Ciel will now live forever, watching everyone he forms bonds with die.
Ciel isn't happy because after all the tumult in his life, he was certain of two things. Sebastian would serve him until he got revenge, and then Sebastian would eat Ciel's soul. Terrible as that was, it was something Ciel could be certain of when everything else had been ripped away from him. Now Vincent's taken that away. Also, while vampire children do grow older, they do so at an incredibl slow rate. Vincent's doomed Ciel to live as a child for at least another century.
But in a way, Vincent's plan backfired. Demons are incredibly vengeful creatures. Vincent changed Ciel into a vampire to get rid of Sebastian. Now, though, Sebastian doesn't think his young master is safe with Vincent. So now Vincent needs to have Sebastian around for all eternity.
Sebastian and Vincent never talk about Ciel using the term "our son." There is no "our." For Vincent, Ciel is his son, and for Sebastian Ciel is his young master. Everyone else finds it simpler to refer to Ciel as both of theirs.
Ronald: They wanted me to pass on that they expect the dispatch to kill the Undertaker should we catch him.
Will: (shrugs) He is a threat to their child.
Will: For the love of God, can you and the brat's father settle this custody battle?
Sebastian: Anytime he wishes to leave, I'll gladly bury the hatchet.
Will: I mean now! Your last argument leveled two towns! Do you know how many reapers had to be called in to clean it up?
Sebastian: You can blame Vincent Phantomhive for that. Had he warned his father...a shinigami, I might add...to stay out of it, it would never have gotten so far.
Will: So I suppose you had absolutely nothing to do with it?
Sebastian: But of course not. As a dedicated butler, I was merely protecting my young master. I have never done anything wrong ever, and- (dodges death scythe)
Heartbreaking idea that just popped into my mind: Vincent loves Ciel. He really does, and nothing can change that, but he's only human, and he can't help but be horrified by some of the things Ciel does, nor does he always react well.
Ciel does something horrific, something on the scale of having Sebastian burn down Baron Kelvin's mansion. Vincent grabs Ciel by the shoulders and yells at him.
Vincent:Do you have any comprehension of what you've done? How could you do that? You-
(Vincent gives Ciel a little shake. Not a hard one, but suddenly there's an animalistic growl behind him and a hand with claws on it pulls him back slightly. Vincent turns around to see Sebastian, fangs out and eyes glowing red)
Sebastian: I suggest you calm yourself, Earl Phantomhive. You are not thinking clearly. Perhaps I should accompany the young master home while you clear your head?
In that moment, Vincent's never hated Sebastian more. He blames the demon for all of this. Not for what happened to his family; he blames himself for that. But for how cold Ciel has become certainly.
For a moment, he thinks about attacking Sebastian, but sanity prevails. Instead, Vincent shoves past him and mutters words he'll regret within the hour.
Vincent: Do what you want. He's your son.
Sebastian's expression is a mixture of shock, triumph, and disdain.
Ciel snuck off to fight someone for a case without help. And gets hurt in the process. Which makes Sebastian mad because he asked his young master not go off on his own. And Vincent also told him to stay behind and let through adults handle it.
Vincent: We are not mad-
Sebastian: Yes we are.
Vincent: okay we are mad.
Sebastian: I'm disappointed in you. What did we tell you not to DO?
Ciel: Go after the scum?
Vincent: and went did you do?
Ciel:..
Sebastian: Well?!
Ciel: Went after the Scum.
Vincent: Now your grounded for two weeks!
Sebastian: 1 MONTH
Ciel: But- bad things happen in a month..
Sebastian: not working on me-
Ciel: Please Daddy, Don't do this.
Sebastian and Sebastian: Fine-
Ciel: *Smirks as he watches them argue*
Vincent has Ciel go to a psychologist to talk about his trauma. (Ciel isn't thrilled, but it's part of a series of deals he and Vincent make over the Watchdog and head of household position. In this particular one, Ciel maintains complete management of certain lands in exchange for going to therapy.)
The doctor plays word association games. When he says, "Father," Ciel blurts out, "Sebastian."
Sebastian: The young master seems quite unsettled by your return.
Vincent: That's understandable. Nevertheless, I'm sure that with time he and I can become a family again.
Sebastian: Perhaps. Although please remember that he is not the only person you need to convince.
Vincent: You've made your distaste quite clear, but you'd do well-
Sebastian: Me? Oh, well, yes. Me too, I suppose.
....
In the kitchen...
Mey Rin: So how do we test to see if he's a zombie?
Baldroy: We tie him up and throw him in the water! If he floats, he's a zombie. If he sinks, he's human.
Snake: That's witches, not zombies, says Emily.
Finny: And it sounds awfully mean.
"Orphans always did make the best recruits," M, in Skyfall
Vincent became the Watchdog at 14, while Ciel became Watchdog at 10.
I find it interesting that the Queen assigned the title to such young people. Yes, they had the family connection, but at such a young age, there was no way to guarantee they'd be able to form the connections and skills necessary to help her. Even back then, when children of that age were taught to be more mature, they still would have been kids.
Anyone would think she'd recruit someone else. In Ciel's case, Francis would have been a more logical choice. Sure, she's a Midford now. But she's an adult who was raised in the same house as Vincent and would have been able to use the connections from both her birth house and the house she married into to the advantage of the Queen.
My theory is that Victoria prefers young recruits because it's easier to manipulate them. Her letters to Ciel sound like they are full of grandmotherly concern...but they are always sending Ciel into dangerous situations. And yes, when she asked him to be Watchdog, she didn't overtly order him to do so, but I don't believe for one second that she didn't realize most people wouldn't dare refuse a request from the Queen, especially a child.
My theory is that if she played a role in Cloudia and Vincent's deaths, it wasn't solely for the purpose of obtaining a new Watchdog. The old Watchdog would have either had to cease to be of use or have done something to anger her. But she absolutely sees it as an opportunity to employ a child who she can play the kind old grandmotherly figure with and raise to be loyal to none but her.
Only, since the job requires a degree of cunning, the Watchdog will always inevitably see through this.
An unfortunate side-effect of Vincent's resurrection is that Ciel loses trust in Tanaka. It's not that he distrusts that Tanaka loves him (going under the assumption that Tanaka had absolutely nothing to do with the attack because I really want him to be innocent). But Tanaka raised Vincent first, and his primary loyalty will be to Vincent.
