Vegeta Is No Number Theorist Though - Tumblr Posts

I know I need to shut up but I can't stop picturing Vegeta treating Goku like a child when he's trying to explain this to him, but then Goku, like a child, keeps asking "Why?" until Vegeta realizes he has no clue.

Vegeta: Each universe has a counterpart universe and the pairs add up to 13!

Goku: Why?

Vegeta: Argh...because! Because that's just how it is!

Goku: But why 13?

Vegeta: Because they all pair off that way!

Goku: But why? Why not a different number? Why 13?

Vegeta: God you're so stupi--wait that's actually a legitimate question. *spends 5 minutes trying to write up a mathematical proof by induction to prove why it's 13* God, where's Bulma when you need her?!

I adored this moment in the anime and just had to post the panel now that I'm reading the Dragon Ball Super manga.

I desperately want to see their later conversation where Vegeta is trying to explain the whole "universes that add up to 13 are complementary to each other" concept to Goku. I'm sure it involved many insults on Vegeta's part, as well as a lack of patience, but the very fact that he promises to explain it to him at all is so sweet to me. And it's so natural?? They're so freaking cute.
