Relationship 7th-8th house nexus observation

Relationship 7th-8th House Nexus Observation

*It is strictly what I have seen in people around me. I will call them "person" so as not to reveal who they are. This is vedic/sidereal observation.

7th lord in 8th or 8th lord in 7th house have a connection with transformations triggered by relationship or marriage.

7th lord in 8th house: Wedding happened suddenly in a rush. Families were looking for a potential partner and suddenly the marriage is fixed and done in 2-3 months.

Life of native and spouse changed drastically after marriage. Person 1 went from living a comfortable lifestyle to lower level lifestyle. Person 2 went from lower lifestyle to engaging with upper level wealth family.

Native with 7th in 8th house planet has a up and down full life. Very rollercoaster type. The spouse and native were each other's supporter when there was nobody else. Situation was such that only spouse was there in the most vulnerable period and weakest point.

The spouse is somewhat hidden from the rest of the family of native. As if the family of native dont know the spouse fully. There are aspects to their personality that they hide.

The native marry into family where in laws support them financially. Person 2 was financially motivated by in laws. Person 3 was financially aided by in laws when their own family did not.

It seems that the spouse does not have a cordial relationship with the inlaws. It might be because the 8th house native comes from narcissistic family line so they might be surprised after marriage to see ongoing emotional and psychological abuse in the family although from the outside everything seems normal and decent.

Significant wealth/status/class inequality between native and spouse family.

If inner planets are involved then the transformation is psychological and emotional. Person 4 was triggered to do complete self transformation after break up. By transformation, I mean change of identity and perspective of the world.

8th house native is some kind of mysterious being. Spends a lot of time alone lost in thoughts. Addicted to something. Either alcohol or money. Private personality and very unpredictable. The affairs of their marriage is hidden from the rest of the family so they might be surprised to know of the facts because neither party makes a show of their personal life.

Of course, native and spouse meet in secretive manner. No public arrangement.

Depending on the dignity of the planets and placements the native and spouse can learn significant life lessons through the transformations and challenges of life. Especially on the psychological levels. Psychology = spirituality. It is a very spiritual marriage if the partners are both awakened.

Life themes: yours and mine.

Life Themes: Yours And Mine.

🌸For anyone who resonates

I was watching a youtube channel of a woman who posts her life. It reminded me of my teenage years and early 20s years when I was too naive and careless like her. I would make drawings, cards, record songs and really dedicate myself to people I cared for. I would not think consciously of what I was doing and just followed my heart. Somehow when I got at a low point in life, I felt like I was depressed and started living my childhood again. I would tell my childhood stories and venting as a joke but later i realized that it was no jokes it was serious trauma. Then began a long journey of internet research and contemplation on human psychology and mental illnesses. Obviously, now my perspective was changed. I started looking for underlying faces, ulterior motives, signs of manipulation and really take lies seriously.

But somewhere in my heart was a bitterness "why me?" If other women can do the same things as me but flourish, have smooth lives and socialize, then why was I bumping into detours and psychological pain? For eg, some woman can post picture of her award on social media and be proud of it. But if i do it, i would feel intense regret and shame "what if i am imposter?" "I am so entitled and narcissistic" "i am just lucky, my good karma will run out then I will face failures" "There are so many girls who worked harder than me but did not get award" and so on. A cycle of self destructive thoughts and not under my control either.

Later, I read that it was my unconscious telling me I was on the wrong path, one that was not determined for me. What we see in other people's life is not necessarily meant to work for us either. Other people do have softer life paths and imitating them will do you no good, if your life has been darker than average. Life is not black and white, some days are really nice, some memories are really nice but if you think that the downsides outweigh the upaides then it is time to rethink if you are making some mistakes, that is if you are walking the path not meant for you? Simple example, some person can do love marriage all fine, but you keep getting into heart breaks, does this mean you need to go by arranged marriage route? Or, some people can succeed in business all fine but you seem to make losses, does this mean you need to go by job route? Or, some people can eat carbohydrates all fine but you seem to get sick from too much carbs?

I make a list of all the things I did in past and whether they were mistake ❌ or correct ✅? If they worked out correct for me then that is meant for my life theme but if it was mistake for me then I would not do it again. One more thing is to use tarot to ask question and write down cards that come up then in future reflect if this decision was mistake ❌ or correct ✅ for you? Eliminate mistakes and repeat correct decisions. This strategy is same as told in many self help books.

Basically, individual life theme differs between people. You are not living the life I live, although we both are interested in astrology. It might take some practice to figure out life theme but I think it can help some people who are prone to chaotic decisions making.

Cynicism for heavy scorpio/8th housers

1. Cynicism defined= Cynicism is an attitude characterized by a general distrust of the motives of "others". A cynic may have a general lack of faith or hope in people motivated by ambition, desire, greed, gratification, materialism, goals, and opinions that a cynic perceives as vain, unobtainable, or ultimately meaningless.

2. Why scorpio/8th houser= If a native is scorpio dominant or has inner planets in 8th house, there is a natural tendency to either be black or white, give 100% or give nothing, one extreme or the other.

3. Relationship with caretaker: The parent/s of scorpio/8th house placement is almost always dysfunctional. Native grows up with anxious and fearful attachment style. This pattern of connecting with others is repeated in friendships and romance. Reason for dysfunctional parenting could be karmic and/or biological. Science tells that predisposition of certain psychological behaviour happens by parental genes. Experience tells that psychological patterns are cause and effect from one generation to the next.

4. Range of emotions: What differentiates scorpio/8th houser from other volatile signs such as Gemini, Libra, Aries is the range of negative emotions they experience. Such that insincerity is experienced with full force. There is tendency to overinvest themselves in people to seek emotional security and bandage the early childhood trauma.

5. Trauma magnet: This must be fate or bad luck specifically that these native can be trauma magnet in terms of attracting insincere people in their life especially when they are unhealed. Toxic people are attracted to them because an unhealed scorpio or 8th houser is like flower nectar - so vulnerable, unguarded and infantile.

6. Healing: While it is known that the native does heal, but there develops an attitude of cynicism. Having seen the trickster in people before, they find it hard to unsee the underlying motive in people. They know that given the right time and condition, anyone can betray them. It is the saying "once bitten, twice shy" for them. After healing, they learn to handle their emotions and instead use that emotional range to dig deep within themselves and do self development. Emotions are the key to understanding psychology and they are willing to eliminate their own flaws and bad behaviours to create an ultimate safe emotional space for themselves and the people they attract into their life.

7. Cynic attitude: But the cynicism never really goes. "Who hurt you?" "Not everyone is malicious or plotting against you." Try telling this to scorpio/8th houser and watch the blowback. Really what lies inside is a fear of facing the betrayal again. Unfortunately the fear does not go away. Carl Jung writes:

"Anyone who is afraid has reason to be. A man without fear is a superman. I don't like superman. They are not even likeable."

This fear drives them to be focusing on the character of people (rather than blind feelings) and to choose their own values in life (rather than societal values). It can be blessing in disguise because it propels them to seek self awareness and self actualization. The downsides can be feeling of isolation because the society in general promotes outgoing and extroverted behaviours. But if they can handle the envy or bitterness/victimhood, they can make the most of their natural ability in direction of self development. Not everyone has this potential that the scorpio/8th houser has. But the gift of self improvment does come with a price.

About a water lover

Water men (sun in scorpio/sun in pisces/sun in cancer//sun in 4th/8th/12th house)

1. As authentic as it can get, they tell emotional truth, they tell what they feel, they tell what they think, exactly as it is, no artificial colours, as real as it can get. Often they are not interested in the material ends like money, power, status, but they are interested in the process and the work, since they are very self aware they like to observe themselves how they evolve and grow with effort and work. They need to put the effort to push their boundaries and really grow themselves, realize their potential. This is why, they focus on the process not the goal and once they reach the goal, they pick another goal and dedicate themselves to it.

2. Introverted nature, dont like crowded places, they question everything because they are not concerned with conformity. They will not pretend to be someone just to impress others, you dont like it? Please move on.

3. Want emotional security as much as possible. In relationship, material life, friendships, they want and give emotional security. It is about reciprocation, no hypocrisy. They are very concerned about their ethics and values. They cannot do or say anything that makes them feel ashamed of themselves or lose their self respect. There is core fear of abandonment which is balanced with relationships and friendships where they give a lot of emotional security because it also makes them feel emotionally secure in return.

4. They hide their undesirable emotions like anger, shame, insecurity and actively work on them. On the exterior they will appear cool like ice cube but when probed they show their anger which can be very dangerous and intense, so this appearance on outside can be illusory.

5. Prone to low confidence issue. Especially when sun is in water sign or house, it does not shine bright like in air or fire or earth. In water, sun is submerged and cold. Like a lava ball in Pacific, sun in water sign feels limitation in shining brightly in material world. To the contrary, this sun shines brightly in the spiritual world which makes them very self aware, emotionally intelligent and spiritually awakened. When sun is in the water sign or house, it illuminates what is underwater, spiritual, emotional; it illuminates the depths as opposed to the heights of the sky. It is very literal association but easy to understand this way if you look at this diagram:

About A Water Lover

6. They are all about depths and not the heights. But depths and heights are not too far away, as above so below-you know? The deeper you go, the higher you reach. It is about that enlightenment and awakening that society in general does not talk about and appears like a very niche group. For example, if other people are religious for community purpose, solidarity, practice etc then the native is religious because of its core philosophy, idealism, beliefs.

7. Aware of their mortality and not afraid of death. They want to live a life that they are prepared for death when it comes and are not ashamed of anything they did. This is another reason for their authenticity. They also prioritize mental peace over noise/music/sound because they are already acquainted with the chaos in their mind, they dont need any more of that.

8. Of course with the task of spiritual development, they need money, lifestyle and services too, they do not neglect the material life unless they are ascetic in which case Ketu the signification of detachment and separation comes into play.

9. Finally, there is not enough time in life to do self actualization. It is an endless journey, perhaps there is no end, perhaps death is not the end either. Water men know this and so they make the most of their time in life and strive to do as much self expression as possible.

Water men (moon in cancer/scorpio/pisces//moon in 4th/8th/12th houses)

1. Either very talkative or very reserved. When they talk, they appear like such extroverts but then can appear like introverts when they retreat to their solitude.

2. They think and feel or feel and think because both functions are interconnected. But it is not think or feel for them. Emotions are as important to them as reasoning.

3. What do women want in relationships? Emotional security; and who can give that? Water men. Emotional security is also guarantee for loyalty because they won't have sex with someone they are not emotionally connected with and interested in. Sex is not about adventure or power or confidence boost or ego stroke to them, sex is rather about surrender, transformation and dissolution to them. They want to dissolve in the arms of their lover, they want to merge and lose control. They want to exter that state between death and rebirth, where they are transformed and reborn. They crave that little rebirth.

4. Water men can be either immature or mature. Maturity does not mean perfection, maturity means self awareness. Maturity means if they make mistake, they are aware enough to identify it, accept it and correct it. Maturity does not mean that they are flawless and make no fuck ups, maturity means they have experience, wisdom and depth, something more than their age to show that they have lived a life.

5. Water men want water women because it is only them who can understand their nuances, desires, fears, complexity and needs. Who else can understand their needs? Fire will boil them and air will blow over them. Water will mix with water and earth will give them the bed of the ocean. I am associating symbols with zodiac signs because it makes them easy to understand since we are aware of the nature of elements.

6. Please dont try to befriend them if you are both not compatible. They are looking for friends who will not hurt them emotionally, who will keep them grounded and stable, who will understand their chaotic nature. A friend who understand you is an asset, he is more valuable than 100 people with buckets of gold. They really put effort into emotional  bonding, they know the value of their time and that only those who are also willing and capable of bonding with them are welcome in their life. They know the effort and time it takes to create emotional bond, so they only do it with those who are worthy of it. This is why they are very selective in their social networking and prefer few chosen ones only. This is also the reason for stereotype of being possessive because they dont want you to be adulterated by someone else, they dont want someone else to influence you, they dont want someone else to create bond with you. You are a canvas and they are the artist. You are their painting and theirs only, okay? And this service is reciprocal, they are yours and yours only, okay? Promise? It is a mixture of innocence and insecurities but the right person will understand. In case of an immature water man, this possessiveness can be toxic and pathological, but in case of mature water man, it is authenticity and surrender. "You are my painting and mine only":

About A Water Lover

7. What is this emotional bonding that I speak of? It is your thoughts aligning with their, your ideas resembling them, your traits similar to them. It shows you are a reliable person, someone they can rely on in danger and weakness. Someone who will stand by them in dark times and not run away in cowardice. Someone who will give them as much as they take. It can a very passionate and mentally peaceful bonding. Passionate because emotional moon and peaceful because they are striving to give you security.

About A Water Lover

8. Why are they so loyal and faithful? Because sex is not really about pleasure, it is about confidence, power. We somehow think that somebody who has sex with a lot of people does it because they love orgasm and pleasures but it is not really about that. Only that person can love who knows how to love, otherwise it is just for confidence boosting and to feel powerful. Since water people are the only ones who truly know how to lose control and surrender, they are the only ones who can make love for the sake of love. Water people are the only ones who can set aside their insecurities and fears, and make love just for the ritual and pleasure of it. I don't know why someone who does not have a water placement will claim to know what it feels like to make love.

"Love is like God; both give themselves only to their bravest knights" - Carl Jung.

Note = A birthchart also has other inner planets and placements that can influence the overall personality and preference of the man. I am confident this post will resonate with most water placements but if something doesn't click please avoid accepting that.

About air lovers

Air men (moon in gemini/libra/aquarius//moon in 3rd/7th/11th house)

1. Racing thoughts, if I think it I will speak it, I need to speak, no I cannot think internally I need to speak, tell, blurt it out to someone.

2. See, unless you stimulate me, please dont try to befriend me. I am volatile and versatile. If you are not a quick thinker, chatty, conversationalist, how will we connect and bond? How will we stay friends? What do we talk about-you ask? We talk about history, universe, biology, business, science, news, cinema, TV shows, your pet, my pet? No, we dont talk about how I feel, we dont talk magic, we talk concepts and ideas. Emotions are magical, you see. How those witch babes manipulate energy for spells, I am a "how to make friends and influence people/rich dad poor dad" kind of person. Please dont tell me about your healing powers, I am a metacognition/neuroscience kind of person.

3. You are either fun or boring. Sorry, I cannot see anything else that makes a person worthy of my friendship or relationship. My partner is my best friend, we talk, share our thoughts with each other, laugh out loud, we are constantly texting. I only date people who are mentally stimulating. Though I am not too romantic and I dont offer emotional intimacy, but I can offer you a fun time and belly full of laughter. Sorry sir, we dont do inner work here, we dont do self reflection here, we are not that deep. We are all about ideas, thoughts and reasoning. Emotions make things messy and complicated. Y'know I dont have that stability to sit down and get in touch with my feelings. I can be meeting new people in that time, that's just who I am. So if you are someone who's looking for emotional vulnerability, emotional sharing of insecurities and complexes or trying to make me spiritual then I cannot do that, please find someone who is compatible with you. I am not spiritual, I am logical. Sorry, I dont understand what you mean when you say that you are feeling shame/fear/anger, I just dont let feelings trap me, I just move on to the next thing. I dont understand what healing means, I am just not meant for these things. I dont understand what you mean when you say soul or spirit or divine or energy, are these not just words? Where is the proof they exist? You're intuitive? Hmmm, I am more of a thinker type. You're into astrology and tarot? Oh, I am an economics nerd, there is so much to learn and understand in the real world, why are you lost in virtual, spiritual, magical world?

4. I need variety. You can be the most mentally stimulating person in the world but I still need variety. I just need variety. It is not about you, it is about me. Conversations, connections and chatting give me validation, they are fuel to my engine. When I am with you, I wonder what am I missing out on? Please dont feel sad about it, see that's why I dont like feelings. Life is supposed to be fun not serious. I need to try out new things and meet new people. More I try, more I learn. I like mental and emotional freedom. I like playfulness and joy of living. Let's hangout for lunch tomorrow? That's how I like to bond and connect with you. I am not shallow, the right people will understand that I am a very fun and smart friend. You have emotional needs, I have mental needs. We are different. "Let's hangout for lunch tomorrow":

About Air Lovers

5. LMAO, that's my new joke. My mom was like... and my dad was like.... lmao, seriously that was so funny. You dont like jokes? You're offended, triggered, taking it personally? What even.. How can someone not like jokes? Laughter is the best medicine, my friend. I self actualize with jokes, I roast myself, I twist events to make them funny. I want people to have a fun time with me. I dont know how people can sit in silence and paint or draw or meditate for hours or enjoy their own company. I would rather play video games, watch TV, write some essay or shoot some video for YouTube or tiktok or Instagram-I need motion, movement, to do something. Next task ✅ Next task ✅ Next task ✅ I get bored if I stay at one place for too long.

Air men (sun in gemini/libra/aquarius//sun in 3rd/7th/11th house)

1. If you want to torture me, keep me isolated in a room. Social groups are where I thrive. I cannot stand solitude, simply because being solitary means to sit with my emotions, thoughts, insecurities, complexes and face them. I cannot do that, I just cannot.

2. Fortunately, my life theme attracts many opportunities to make friends/socialize/meet a lot of people on daily basis. Astrology not only tells personality traits but also life event patterns. 3rd, 7th, 11th houses deal with other people, networking, public interactions, connections and relationships, you see the association? Some are born lone wolf, we are not. I can never be a monk, I dont have the emotional discipline for that, though I can be your travel partner to Thailand when you visit a monastery, I love to explore new places.

3. I need you to like me, I am really good at studying others. I like to keep a lot of connections, I like to network with people, people are assets, friends for life, there is nothing much in life. Hanging out with friends, being around people, socializing makes me feel alive, rejuvenated and meaningful. I am a bit of chameleon, yeah so what, you are too. People are not one dimensional, what is this obsession with authenticity? Do you even know who you really are, duh!!

4. When I meet someone, I notice their desirable qualities, what makes them attractive, what is their best quality and I internalize that, make it my own, morph myself into a desirable person. More similar we are, stronger our bond will be. I know I am not authentic but it is simply not my nature to be so. Please appreciate me for what I am capable of offering you. I can be a really nice actor though, I have the charisma and versatility for it.

5. They call me charming. Because my personality shines. I am the person people approach when they are at the cashier. I am the person people approach when I am just minding my own business. I appear desirable, friendly and safe to people. You wouldn't approach an intimidating, stiff, serious person, will you? Let's see it this way, water man and I enter a bar. Bartender greets both of us. Water man emits vibes that provoke uncomfortable emotions, insecurities and traumatic memories in the bartender. But I emit vibes that are comfortable, friendly and safe to feel. I am more approachable. This is because I dont spend my time exploring my depths, complexes, psyche. I am the person who runs the community, I run the entertainment business, I run the economy. If everyone sat down to do self introspection and inner work then who will take care of the material world? See-leave it to me, I can handle that.

About Air Lovers

6. Though I make a loyal partner when I am mature. I am loyal because cheating is too much of mess for me for too little return. I am not really obsessed with power, I am the sigma not the alpha, we are equals, I dont want to be superior to you-I dont want power over you. I want to be your friend. I make love with my friend. You are my friend and you are my lover. I dont like power games. Though if I have fire/water placements too then I can be power centric otherwise I am just the equal dynamic type. I am a very balanced type of person.

Survival Of The Fittest

For those who are affected by Scorpio/8th house/12th house: scorpio rising/moon in scorpio/venus in scorpio/moon in 8th house/venus in 8th house/pluto in 1st house/pluto in 8th house/pluto in 12th house/12th lord in 8th house/7th lord in 8th house/8th lord in 7th house/inner planets in 8th house/Saturn in 8th house/Sun in 12th house

Survival Of The Fittest

The phrase 'Survival Of the Fittest' was coined by Herbert Spencer after he was inspired by Charles Darwin's On the Origin of Species. Spencer drew parallels between his own economic theories and Darwin's biological theories and said "This survival of the fittest, which I have here sought to express in mechanical terms, is that which Mr. Darwin has called 'natural selection', or the preservation of favoured races in the struggle for life." We, in astro community, can draw a similar parallel to the astrological theories that indicate a difficult emotional, psychological, mental, physical, fated and spiritual life. Even Carl Jung associated collective unconscious to the genetic memory that exists in all of humanity universally.

Survival of the fittest means that organisms that are better adapted to their environment are best suited to survive and successfully reproduce. It also explains how evolution occurs in species by means of natural selection of those traits that are better adapted to a given set of environmental conditions. We read all this in school textbooks and forget it all when we walk into the real world.

Having difficult 8th house/12th house placements is like the Sisyphean task when he was condemned to roll a boulder up a hill, only to have it fall near the top, forcing him to start over and over again. This is what it feels like to be battling the unknown, unseen, intangible psychic forces of the 8th and 12th houses that emerge in the awareness from time to time endlessly. You are stuck in a situation that you cannot explain in words so you seek answers in symbolism, esoteric, dreams, psychology, magic and otherworldly pursuits because your problems are simply not visible to the naked eyes.

Survival Of The Fittest

4. The paradox of life is that even though we are born with difficult life stories, the world does not have space for the weak, dependent, miserable. On one hand, this creates isolation, victim mentality, bitterness, "nobody understands me", "society is so insensitive to mental health issues". But on the other hand, we realize that we are just animals, some really smart animals that can think, write, civilize, earn money, reproduce, make laws, run the system, yet we are just animals in the hands of natural laws. The law of nature, therefore, is survival of the fittest, to become strong, adapt, improvise, improve, evolve, grow.

5. The point of this post is not laziness but exhaustion/victim mindset/bitterness/feeling left behind tendencies in native who had to spend a lot of times in healing, battling their psychological issues that appear invisible to the physical eyes and living with a sense of "what is wrong with me?"

6. To them, I just want to say that do not let the exhaustion tear you down. The environments of 8th and 12th houses are such emergency provoking, life threatening, dark, hidden, unknown, distant from physical life, invisible to naked eyes, emotionally draining and psychically charged. How you learn to accept your fate and live along with it is in your hands. I too had to come to terms with the constant ups and downs of my story, the sudden detours and catastrophe of my story, sometimes the sadistic undertones and stagnancy of my story, but in the end I realized that I was the saviour to my own fallen angel. Whether it is my past life karma, intergenerational karma or random allotment of fates, I would not live in bitterness and envy of those who have it easier, better and colourful. Learning to adapt to the environments of 8th and 12th houses is a real challenge, a very difficult one, not written in books but usually comes to knowedge intuitively and that is why it is so hard to understand and codify in language.

7. Finally, I do not have any advice or rulebook for 8th/12th housers, for each person has their own unique solution. I would just like to say that time is running out, you have already seen the theme of your life until now, be brave, pull yourself up and make peace with your traumatic memories. And maybe, find attract people who are also in a similar attitude as you. People who understand when you say "No I don't want to watch a movie right now, I want to journal some of my thoughts and emotions."

Last night with her (venus in 8th house)

Last Night With Her (venus In 8th House)

I can't forget what happened last night,

It felt like the night would never end,

And when it did, I knew I wouldn't be the same again.

She took something from me,

I have been empty since her,

I have barely lived after she left.

She touched my wounds at midnight,

And by 4 AM, I was in her arms,

Crying out my secrets to her,

She possessed me and I haven't been the same since her.

I am ruined, nobody else can be her,

She ruined my life, how can I move on from that night?

In that night we lived an eternity,

A 1000 years in past and a 1000 years in future,

We knew everything together.

She promised me she will be there in the morning,

I woke up and found her still there like we agreed,

She kept her promise, I sighed,

She had shed her skin and left it as it is.

Thank you for this gift,

But she took my soul in exchange,

Now I have to spend these bland nights alone,

Until we die, till we reunite.

What Is Down There In The 7th House?

That which is above is like to that which is below, and that which is below is like to that which is above.

Aftermath of 8th house moon or scorpio moon mother-child relationship

Aftermath Of 8th House Moon Or Scorpio Moon Mother-child Relationship

Once upon a time there were two orphan boys in a small town somewhere in Japan. Their belongings were taken by people, house was seized by landlord and they were homeless. On a cold winter night, they had only one quilt or blanket to shield both of them in the snow. They hugged each other tight and put up the blanket. Next morning they were found deceased. A hotel owner picked their blanket and kept it in his hotel for the use of customers. A customer comes, eats dinner, drinks alcohol and goes to his room. Hotel owner gives him the same blanket that he picked up earlier. Customer goes to sleep but wakes up to a conversation: "big brother, are you cold?" "Yes, are you cold too?" Customer is terrified and informs the owner. Owner calls it rubbish and says he must be drunk. But the customer leaves hotel in fear. Same pattern repeats with many customers in coming days. Hotel owner is worried because of loss of business. So he takes the blanket with him and sleeps in it that night. He then wakes up to two voices talking to each other. But who was it? These voices came from the blanket. It was the conversation the two boys had the night they passed away. Their voices and feelings were absorbed in the blanket and kept replaying every night.

Aftermath Of 8th House Moon Or Scorpio Moon Mother-child Relationship

Mother is a goddess, the divine earth that gives birth to a new life

All mothers care for their offsprings, be it human or cow or dog or birds

But sometimes, some mothers are themselves so unhealed that despite their best intentions their parenting style terrorizes the child

These are the 8th house moon or scorpio moon mothers

Since the child spends most of his time close to mother, he is attuned to mother's emotional cycles

And since the child knows nobody else in the world, he is dependent on mother for all his needs

Mother is suddenly happy, suddenly irritated, suddenly anger outburst then act like nothing happened

A child who grew up in this environment has emotionally disfigured life even in adulthood

He does not understand why he keeps feeling childhood emotions when he does not live in that environment anymore

But the feelings of childhood are deeply absorbed in his body. Just like the blanket in the story above, child absorbs the energy of his environment that keeps replaying for many many years on its own

Absorbs the feelings in environment, destablizing, perpetually chaotic, repetitive memories, analytical thoughts, age regression, flashbacks of childhood are common

Even after the child has stepped into adulthood, his body has absorbed the eggshells environment of childhood and causes various emotional, mental, physical problems

There is a book called Body Keeps The Score and a whole field of psychology dedicated to how mother or father issues can carry with you your whole life and impact decisions at every point of time

Proof is in the experience

It is not fault of mother either. Imagine the kind of environment she grew up in to turn out like that

The process of healing can be really personal and duration will vary from one person to other. It is also about willingness, luck, how self aware they are, resources to read from. I myself dont know much about healing, I just try to validate what is common for certain natives to feel so they dont think they are lost or hopeless

Though if you are comfortable or habitual to feeling unwholesome emotions, healing is an oppotunity to become enlightened

For eg, there is a famous astrologer P V Narsimha Rao with many planets in 8th house (but not moon) who is efficient in astrology, spiritual practice, meditation, advaita vedanta, topics of karma, tantra and matters of spirit. There is a free pdf on his blog where you can see how he puts his 8th house planets to use by really reading into the unconscious. His blog is called vedicastrologer.org.

In the same breath, I would like to mention Osho for his spiritual talks who also had many planets in 8th house

If natives are capable of adjusting inner expectations to physical reality, realize they did not have a conventional childhood and that they need not conform to socio cultural norms as adults, the darkness they feel can be the source of enlightenment

Even Buddha sought enlightenment because he was disturbed at the sight of a sick man, an old man and a dead body

That is to say one does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious (Carl Jung)

🌞 sun in 7th house placements and low self esteem 🌞

self esteem = how we value and perceive ourselves. It's based on our opinions and beliefs about ourselves

why is self esteem important = it impacts our

academic achievement; happiness; satisfaction in marriage and relationships; psychologists call it a personality trait

It is easy to spot a 1st houser in a room, they are out there being the host, pulling attention to themselves, they act like insecurities don't even exist, they are all about their persona the mask they show in the world and identify with it

and it is just as easy to spot a sun in 7th houser in a room, they are out there being a doormat, overly agreeable on everything, hesitant to voice their opinion and feeling powerless, they act like they have all the insecurities in the world

this is especially the case if a 7th houser has an empty 1st house because the native does not know who they are, how to be assertive, how to put themselves out there. sun is your ego, identity, where you shine, how you identify yourself, how you see yourself with respect to others, it is your energy, vitality, productivity, confidence, competence; consider yourself like a plant and sun is what gives you life; we feel so down and sleepy in winters because sun lacks presence

7th house is the house of other people. 7th houser or not, everyone perceives the world because of their projections. it is impossible to exist without projecting. just like it is impossible to see without reflection of light from an object, image formation in eye and your ability to recognize the object because of your familiarity, it is similarly impossible to live in the world without projecting archetypes and your shadow content on others, your ability to recognize what you are projecting and your familiarity with it. for eg, in this diagram you can recognize the tree because you are familiar with this object and concept. but if you were to see an object that you have not seen before and not familiar with, you will not recognize it. this is how we identify ourselves, by psychic projection. for eg. "this person has a quality of being funny"... "feels familiar because i also have this quality" or "this person is a liar?... i could not recognize it because i usually dont lie"

what we see in others is the reflection of ourselves, both good and bad, and that is how we form opinions about ourselves

Sun In 7th House Placements And Low Self Esteem

Donald Winnicott, a psychoanalyst, said that"true self" is sense of self based on spontaneous authentic experience and a feeling of being alive, having a real self with little to no contradiction. While he called "false self" a sense of self created as a defensive façade which in extreme cases can leave an individual lacking spontaneity and feeling dead and empty behind an inconsistent and incompetent appearance of being real, such as in narcissism. sun in 7th house are prone to being narcissists because their self image is not visible to them, they don't feel respected enough, they don't feel like they are seen and valued by others

sun in 7th house are prone to living with a false self because their identity is weak, ego is weak here in the 7th house, ego is repressed, identity is hidden. this can happen because of a number of factors like their parent being more attention seeking and so they were cornered, they had to comply to the wishes and expectations of their parents, being neglected or a combination of other placements in the natal chart that can indicate trauma and abuse. when the native's ego is not fully developed, they are living with a false sense of identity, that is, they might think "this is me" but it is not really them because this false self is just a hand crafted image to please people and that is why it changes in different environments with different people

let's understand with an example:

Sun In 7th House Placements And Low Self Esteem

you see how the sun is behind native's back? he can't see his own sun but he can see the sun in others. since his sun is not visible to him, he feels like it does not exist, that he is not competent, confident, valuable. in another way, the sunlight from behind is directed at others and he can see all the good and positive qualities in other people but he cannot see them in himself. in another way, his ego is in his shadow and unconscious to him, it is not fully developed and also impossible because how can he change his natal chart? so in that case, the native gets into relationship with someone who has a confident, assertive, strong willed, bright personality and really values their partner because they derive their energy, power, confidence, identity from their partner

this is why these natives are prone to losing themselves in their partner and engulfing their personality and identity, also always being in relationship because their batteries are low otherwise when they are by themselves

time for funniness:

Sun In 7th House Placements And Low Self Esteem

so, i have no advice for these natives other than figuring out who they are, withdrawing their projection, accepting what they cannot change about their life story and learning to live with their sun in 7H

when the native has matured though, they can then begin to explore a larger Self, their inner personality, their shadow, self reflection

note: this same experience can be felt by sun in sign of libra, sun in 7th house from natal moon as well

Mercury in 7th house/Mercury in Libra/Mercury in 7th house from natal moon and "Tendency for Competitive Intelligence"

Mercury In 7th House/Mercury In Libra/Mercury In 7th House From Natal Moon And "Tendency For Competitive

mercury rules thoughts, conversations, humor, wit, discussions, analysis, debates, words, everything to do with communication, chatterboxes, even this post is product of mercury

let's see, you know that 7th house rules enemies, shadow projections, "what one can see in others but not in himself" so when mercury is placed here, native can see all indicators of intelligence in others around him but not in himself. their tendency is to keep showing their intelligence for external validation because they don't feel intelligent enough unless verified by others ✅

one more thing to add that native does not think he is intelligent enough but other people perceive them as intelligent because for the native 7th house is shadow (what is not accepted in oneself) but it is visible to other people's eyes

7th house also rules law courts, justice and what do advocates do? right, they debate! they argue, compete, use verbal statements, manipulative skills, to outdo the other counsel, to outperform the other party, to win the case at any cost. that is literally their profession. native may or may not work in legal profession though, depending on the whole chart

7th house also rules wholeness, completeness, the other half, so the tendency to be in a long term relationship or marriage is also there. the native is likely to be bantering, competing, constantly thinking of what to say to keep winning over their partner. native desires a partner who can keep up with them in chattiness, the kind of couples you see on social media who are mimicking, enacting comedy, doing podcasts, that is a nice influence of mercury over there

Mercury In 7th House/Mercury In Libra/Mercury In 7th House From Natal Moon And "Tendency For Competitive

if native is immature, they can be hard to talk to because their tendency is to impress others with words, sentences, smartness. they might speak over others, just to compete and outshine others

this is a way of people pleasing for them to be constantly engaging their audience so they feel valued. these natives derive their self worth from their ability to talk, banter, communicate, converse, chat

when matured, the native will show the evolved signs of 7th house/libra, that is, balanced communication, being active listener, listen then speak, being secure in their intelligence, not needing external approval

this is overall not a bad placement per se, if the native is mature things will be better. society in general supports and adores communication skills that these natives are naturally born with. as far as competitiveness is concerned, it is also suitable for many professions like law, customer care, social media related professions, spokespersons, media persons

mercury is one such planet that you can never go wrong with it in any house or any sign. this is a nice planet.

Saturn as the Causation of Maturity

The first noble truth in Buddhism is that suffering in life is inevitable, that life is suffering. Everyone suffers but not everyone realizes they are suffering.

Saturn As The Causation Of Maturity

A lot of people do not internalize this truth, they do not mature, perhaps because their fantasy, emotions and desires override the developmental process. And perhaps they are not meant to mature in this lifetime. So they remain the eternal child, the forever youth and the ever dreamers.

In my own life, during my college years, I was immature, living in fantasies and out of touch with reality. But here is the catch -- I was not aware of my unconsciousness, I simply lived a default way of life instinctively, mirrored the sociocultural norms and precedents set by previous generations. It is only now that I can look back and tell that everything was so dysfunctional within me, as if it was somebody else who was carrying this body not me.

And then in Saturn's antardasha of 2 years, some events happened that later changed the course of my life. Those were events that I dismissed as insignificant but little did I know were going to be the biggest life lessons for me. It felt like the reality had suddenly shifted but I was still clinging to the old way of life, living in denial, refusing to change my attitude and afraid of incoming psychological death.

“A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it.” ― Jean de La Fontaine.

Saturn As The Causation Of Maturity

The farther I went into my fantasies (default way of life), the more I realized that life was not what it appeared to be. It felt like the facial expressions were an illusion, the idealized persona was an illusion, the well spoken words were an illusion, that everything was an illusion but only when you get too close that you can see through it.

In this period, I also realized that the media, internet, social media and virtual world itself were a drastic change in the world the psychological effects of which were not much addressed. A lot of people are dependent on media, internet, social media and virtual world for professional, business, lifestyle reasons -- they will maintain the structure because it benefits them, feeds their family and makes their bank. And a lot of others are simple consumers. But none of us seem to be bothered, the boundary between real and virtual is weaker than ever but we do not seem to realize that the materialization of virtual world is not "natural" for us. What has media done to the psyche and collective consciousness should be studied as well.

Saturn As The Causation Of Maturity

Why mention media? Because it is a virtual world, an illusion, a dream like state, escapism. It is just like how we chase fantasy, addicted to perfection, chase euphoria and pleasures. This sort of escapism is distracted mind, immaturity and superficial. It is superficial becuse you only watch the surface and not go beyond. Going beyond is maturity. Maturity is not just related with old age, wrinkles or title. Maturity is emotional and psychological consciousness and knowledge.

Saturn is associated with emotions such as fear, guilt, pain, grief but it is these emotions alone that cause self awareness. We are in denial of these emotions and do anything to not feel bad or negative. In physical life too saturn brings hardships, delays, struggle. We fear pain and suffering. Everybody wants to go to heaven but nobody wants to die.

More than physical perfection, i think it is the emotional perfection that keeps one immature. The illusion that there is somewhere out there is perfect state of happiness, euphoria, bliss, etc. This fantasy is often recreated in movies and TV shows that portray characters as happy, joyful, funny, witty, having adventures. Even if it happens, it does not last long. All good moments are temporary. All good feelings are temporary and situational.

Saturn teaches emotional maturity. That one needs to realize that there is nowhere eternal paradise, perfect happiness and euphoria. That accept what you have and do internal work. Saturn teaches inner discipline just like outer discipline. Saturn teaches emotional hard work just like physical hard work.

And shadow work, self reflection, psychological growth are domain of Saturn.

Overthrowing Saturn

Traditionally, Jupiter is known as the great benefic of the planets in astrology – a bringer of luck, opportunity, abundance, intuition, insight, optimism, faith, and knowledge – all of the good stuff, sometimes to excess, but few would object to an excess of ease. Saturn on the other hand, is traditionally known as the old devil; limitation, struggle, challenge, obstacles, discipline, lack, doubt, defense, denial, fear and all of the unpleasant things encountered in life. Saturn is often labeled a malefic planet for this reason, but he is said to yield rewards over time if he is worked with properly and taken on consciously by the individual.

While Jupiter is our bright face of vision and expectance of goodness, Saturn is our dark face of judgment. Saturn has been associated with our personal shadow, a term describing traits that are disowned by the conscious ego because of a sense of their inferiority and ugliness. Our moral deficiencies and bad traits are usually not acknowledged in ourselves because the ego can’t stand to see itself as lacking in any way. Typically, these traits are instead recognized as perceived moral deficiencies in other people. Integrating the personal shadow, in other words, owning one’s own Saturn is of great importance because it brings back the projection/externalization of lack and allows for the disowned traits to be neutralized and accepted as part of the self. The “bad traits” and perceived “deficiencies” are usually appearing that way because of resistance to them in the first place. This is not to say that all traits are good, but all traits need to be accepted as part of the self in order for the contents of the shadow to not run amok “back stage” submerged in the unconscious.

The people who are the most “good” (or at least perceive themselves to be morally superior to people around them) usually have the most vicious shadow because of its autonomy and exclusion from the conscious awareness. In my own experience, I got a great example of this when I changed schools when I was younger. My first school had been quite disorderly, the students were overtly antagonistic with each other and the atmosphere was rougher, a bit chaotic. I transferred because I wanted a more serious, civilized environment but as it turned out, it was only more overtly pleasant and more covertly sinister. The shadow was definitely there as much as in the other school, but it came in a “nicer” package. I guess I didn’t realize that there’s no such thing as a “better people”, human nature is the same – its darkness is the same, its light is the same. But most of us still long for that possibility of perfection.

In all places and social settings – whether its in society at large or in a family unit or a circle of friends, someone or a cluster of people are usually appointed the “scapegoat” role because someone has to take on the shadow, the role of the inferior – the role of the deficient and impure. This is done because people haven’t become conscious of their own shadow. Bullying stems from this, judgment and punishment stems from this. If we at any point feel repulsed and threatened of some quality in someone else and feel compelled to condemn them for their inferiority and weakness/ badness we should take a good look at ourselves first. What we have a hard time with in regards to others we have a hard time with ourselves. We are afraid to look at the ugly and unpleasant parts of ourselves because of our heavy judgment of them. Not uncommonly, these judgments are picked up from our environment as cues for how to behave and how not to behave in order to be “good” and “approved of”.

I’m quite Saturnian with my Sun-Venus conjunct the old devil at the MC; I kept myself (or was kept by Saturn) on a tight leash in terms of behavior and conduct growing up… I saw myself as a relatively good person compared to other people because I thought myself to be humble and willing to do what had to be done without dishonest shortcuts. I was willing to face my deficiencies if they presented themselves in order to work through them. I was willing to face reality. I tried to embody certain quality of character and I succeeded – I was praised and approved of most of the time but it was hard won. I never “winged” things like the Jupitarian person would. I worked on them. When you do this, you hope for it to pay off over time, for the ease to settle in. However, what I realized was that it was never quite enough; the effort and the discipline – nobody really cared if I succeeded or not, neither did I. They just wanted someone to judge or praise. I wanted someone to judge or praise. I had hoped that I would some day get a real confirmation of my character and superiority … I was always working from the ground up - working off my debt – and therefore I must be better than other people who didn’t even seem notice their own badness and fundamental insignificance. I assumed nothing and let my compensations take me as far as they could. Yet, this in itself was done simply to be good with an assumption of my own inferiority. It was still a defense mechanism and I didn’t gain the satisfaction I thought I would from it. I resented my hard work. I cursed and devalued the irresponsible and immature people around me –the people who had a less impeded sense of self (and perhaps a more integrated shadow). I hated other people. I still do because I project my own shadow onto them. I get nothing for free. Others seem to assume their own goodness and be confused when it is denied. I’m always denied. I gain by effort and concentration.

Overthrowing Saturn

(Buy products with my art)

With Jupiter types, all experiences are valuable and there’s no fear of failure. With Saturn types, there’s a fundamental lack and insignificance that is felt which acts as a whip to get to work and achieve. The Jupitarian jumps without second thought, relying on a heightened sense of intuition and trusts that it’s going to work out. The Saturnian assumes that all is hell or is going to hell but at least one can do one’s best to avoid it. No body is wholly Jupiterian or Saturnian, everyone is a mix of both – however, people often come more strongly under one or the other. Jupiter is expansive, Saturn is restrictive – Jupiter is the carrot, Saturn is the stick. Jupiter encourages us - Saturn discourages us. Both planets (psychological functions) have their legitimate place. Nonetheless, Saturn seems to bring more troubles and grievances and is very hard to work with. The question is, is there a way to outsmart him? In Greek/Roman mythology Saturn is overthrown by his son Jupiter, which points out that a more benign ruler conquers Saturn in order to let him and his brothers (Neptune and Pluto) have a chance to reign. Jupiter is, according to myth, the one that frees us from our overly fearful and restrictive tendencies. He puts things right.

Saturn and Jupiter remind me a lot of the fairytale of “Rumpelstiltskin”. It’s about a miller who lies to the king that his daughter can spin straw into gold (he tells the king this in order to appear superior). The king puts the daughter in a tower threatening to cut her head off if she doesn’t spin the straw to gold by morning. Of course, she is unable to, and is completely devastated when an imp-like (demon/fairy) creature shows up and spins it for her in exchange for her necklace. She avoids the beheading but is required to carry out the same task again by the king’s orders. The imp helps her again in exchange for her ring. On the third day she is promised marriage to the king if she can fill an even larger room with gold, else she will be executed. She has nothing more to trade the imp in exchange for the service, but the little creature promises to help her if he can have her firstborn child. She agrees and marries the king. When the time comes to give away her child she pleads and promises the imp all of the treasures and riches he could wish for, but he denies. He wants the child. Certain of himself, he gives her a last chance. If she can guess his name within three days he will not claim his prize. She guesses many times and fails, until one night she overhears the creature sing at his mountain cottage, where he mentions his name – Rumpelstiltskin.

“tonight tonight, my plans I make, tomorrow tomorrow, the baby I take. The queen will never win the game, for Rumpelstiltskin is my name”

He is furious the next day when she has the correct answer but she gets to keep her baby. He is never seen again. Interestingly enough, there’s a psychological term/principle derived from this fairytale called the Rumpelstiltskin Principle. Basically, it has to do with the power of language –using someone’s title in a courtroom, or in a hierarchal setting gives the addressed person the power of that title. However, when using the person’s real name, equality is established. Curiously, using someone’s name disarms the person in an impactful way, similar to the fairytale.

Similar to Saturn, Rumpelstiltskin gives in order to get, not in the Jupitarian fashion with no strings attached and a faith in the universe to return the favor. Saturn always wants to control the outcome. Saturn, playing the part of shadow, wants to sabotage others, outrank them, outsmart them, and make deals that are devious yet seem advantageous to the people involved. He plays nice and he plays deviously - he can never be trusted because his deals are too good and too absolute to be benign. He is not really evil, he is only serving as devil’s advocate in order to motivate people to cultivate personal judgment and integrity. The lesson that he teaches is that nothing that is wholly pure and good is ever free, there’s always a price – there’s a debt and a consequence for everything. Saturn rules time and more often than not, time reveals the true nature of things. People who seem exciting, lively, joyful and full of energy could be empty inside, as in “lacking substance”. On the flip side, people who are ugly and devilish could be containing something of high value – in other words, the disowned “inferior” parts of the psyche could be extremely potent.

In Greek/Roman mythology Saturn is a cruel tyrant and a stern father archetype, a patriarch of sorts. In the fairy tale of Rumpelstiltiskin he is more of a trickster-devil, but I would say that both these images illustrate the complete dynamic of Saturn. In a sense, in the fairytale, Rumpelstiltskin is the ugly shadow and the Father-authority is the defense against it. The king in the fairytale is the controlling Patriarch – he has the right to lay down the rules and he will kill the girl if she doesn’t produce perfection (gold). The girl’s father lied in order to rise in the ranks; he couldn’t accept his own inferiority. The king however, doesn’t allow for mistakes (as typical of Saturn). The girl is stuck in an impossible situation that she doesn’t deserve because of other people’s foolishness and immaturity (also typical of Saturn). In response to this, the little imp enters the scene, which is really symbolic of the shadow of the psyche entering to offer a solution.  No body else has her back except for a selfish and greedy creature (the immoral parts of the psyche). The girl is the conscious ego-self. She is pressured from the outside but can’t perform what is required of her through mere goodness, dependence and decency any longer. She has to give away her jewelry (symbolic of the identification with “goodness”) in order to be able to save herself and please the king. When she has no more jewelry to trade, she has to give away her own innocence and dependence (symbolic of giving up her child) in order to reap the benefits of her repressed traits (Rumpelstiltskin - the shadow). In the end, she is not required to give up anything because she has become familiar enough with her shadow self and has begun to integrate it. She can name the imp, which disarms him. The naming is symbolic of making the shadow conscious. She has a beautiful life, a curse turned out to be a blessing in the end.

The answer to the question of how to overthrow Saturn must be to make the shadow conscious, then there’s no longer any need for the defense mechanism. When the girl married the king, it was symbolic of real strength as opposed to weakness disguised by defensiveness. The conscious self could unite with that external and mighty “other”, the cruel patriarch.

How does Jupiter come in as the savior then? He does this through opening our eyes to themes in life and identifying their meaning and purpose. In a sense, Jupiter is unpacking this Saturnian complex – he is the visionary acting through us, through me – he is our intuitive knowing and understanding of life experiences and patterns. He is the traveller of myth and the king of the gods. He knows them and rules over them with benevolence.

Understanding Scorpios/8th House

note: combination of all placements make up your personality, not just one planet or sign. when you read this post, try to envision the word into your mind, imagination, symbols of it.

Understanding Scorpios/8th House

There are no beautiful surface without a terrible depth - Friedrich Nietzsche.

Possession by the unconscious.

Periodically gets consumed by the psychological unconscious content, loses touch with reality.

Returns to reality, bringing up psychological content from the depths of the unconscious. Look what I brought from the ocean when I went fishing.

Intuitive eyes. 4 pairs of eyes; two biological, two spiritual. Spiritual (intuitive) eyes help see beneath the surface into the energy realm. Biological eyes see the physical world; Intuitive eyes see the imaginary inner world. The reflection of the outer world in the inner life.

When comes back to reality, there is desire to transform, shed previous skin, become as individuated as possible, find the core of being. Who I am exactly underneath all this skin?

But self destruction and reconstruction do not happen as fast, may take days or weeks or months. Irritated, highly sensitive to energy changes in people, sees himself/herself in others and hates it. Leave me alone, I am shedding my skin.

Spends more time in the internal world, perception of the world, imagination world, the world that exists within. Interacts with the external world as the native will interact with the internal world.

Understanding Scorpios/8th House

To conclude, everything around you in the physical world and everything within you in the spiritual world has characteristic of death and rebirth. The duration of transformation will vary in each native. The nature of transformation will look different to the biological eyes. But in the intuitive eyes, the hidden psychological and spiritual transformation is sensed, recognized, acknowledged and identified.

Why I Think That 8th House Placements Are Most Valuable

OBJECTIVITY:

During my 8th house initiation, I met not one but 10+ bad people back to back; they were coming into my life one way or the other as if a bee attack. In the beginning I was very frustrated to see all these narcissists and sociopaths around me, but later on I started peeling my own layers and realized that I was not an angel like I thought. These encounters were like a mirror to me, they showed me what I could not see otherwise in myself. They showed me my own vanity and narcissism. They showed me my own darkness, ignorance and blind spots. I thought I was a normal person until I realized I was actually an emotionally manipulative asshole who had simply not matured yet. And this trickster exists in everyone, but they do not realize it until they go deep within. Most people live their lives on surface levels, while those who do go deeper keep their lives private and secretive so you would not know their affairs unless you are personally involved with them. The reason for keeping their lives private is that the world does not seem to understand them, the world ridicules them and outcasts them.

Why I Think That 8th House Placements Are Most Valuable

VANITY DETECTION:

8th housers and scorpio placements have an inbuilt vanity detector in them. They can tell who is being insincere, self-contradictory, manipulative, arrogant, who has ulterior motives, etc. They will physically feel sick and disgusted around people who do and say superficial things. Their disgust pushes them to seek answers that are beyond superficiality. This is why 8th housers run from public eye because they want to stay away from persona as much as possible while being true to their emotions and authentic self. These natives learn from their experience, which is why they try to be the most authentic that they can because they want to be that one source of true light in this blind world of superficial niceness and social performance.

Why I Think That 8th House Placements Are Most Valuable

TRAUMA AS AWAKENING:

8th house gives trauma like no others. But these traumas, after you have gone through the duration of it, will show you hidden insights. They will push you away from material life and deep into spiritual layers. You will see deeply materialistic natives turning spiritual and emotional. Nobody knows true empathy like an 8th houser because they have actually known their own narcissism and its impact on others. They know how dangerous they can be because they have seen their own darkness, which is why they show true kindness and empathy towards everyone. These natives know that even if the situation gets very bad, they will still survive and come out on the other side with a bag of lessons to understand and accept. These natives are the type to ask "What if I was in their shoes? Will it still be so funny?" this is why they can be so kind, understanding and empathetic.

Why I Think That 8th House Placements Are Most Valuable

DISSOLUTION OF EGO:

Self actualization is their favorite hobby. The thing with 8th house is that it forces you, breaks you, crushes you to your extreme limits. It tests your limits. It tests how much you can bear and still survive. And this house is deeply psychological. So the events and trauma of life really deeply impact the ego of the native. No matter how hard shelled they were, they are forced and crushed to the ground until they awaken. The native suffers so much, so much, so much that the suffering finally breaks their ego attachment and helps them see their own ignorance and blind spots.

In some ways suffering ceases to be suffering at the moment it finds a meaning, such as the meaning of a sacrifice. ― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning

Why I Think That 8th House Placements Are Most Valuable

DARKNESS:

While it appears that the rest of the world who do not have 8th house placements can live a conventional life blindly it is the 8th housers that are being faced with revelations and setbacks that are hidden and complicated. These setbacks are so "below the surface" that the 8th housers are compelled to analyze people and wonder how others can live their lives so carelessly and still be highly functional. It is the 8th housers who are being faced with the darkness of psyche again and again until they surrender to it and begin to explore the irrational and unconscious side of the life. There are two worlds: one in which the non-8th housers live and the other in which the 8th housers live. The world of 8th housers is deep, beneath the surface, seeing the hidden patterns between people and situations, seeing the hidden patterns between people and their fate. They are forced to look at the world this way otherwise they keep encountering problems in physical life that have no solutions.

Why I Think That 8th House Placements Are Most Valuable

TRANSFORMATIONS:

8th housers go through a lot of revelations and transformations. While other people can live their lives with same set of beliefs, thoughts, perspectives, ideals as ever; 8th housers are always being faced with shocking, manipulative, psychically controlling situations that make them change their whole beliefs and perspectives and start again, only to be challenged again by another psychic complex. Their whole life is a series of complex psychological problems that they have to change their beliefs about people and events from experience all the time. While others can be living their life through a breeze, 8th housers wonder why they are making errors in judgment, why they find themselves in complicated situations though they had good intentions, why they are being tested though others seem to be winging it easily.

8th house placements are not for the weak-hearted. Whoever said that humans are sweet kind angels can take a hard look to all the cruelty, wars, murders, rapes, crimes, genocides that happened in this world. Is that what you call sweet kind angel? There is potential for cruelty in each one of us, no matter how self-righteous and strong willed you claim to be and nobody knows this better than 8th housers/plutonic people. In their own journey of self discovery, they will see the images of their own devil, trickster, all the wrongs they have committed unconsciously in past, all the secret fantasies, the evil dark thoughts they hide from the world. These natives know their darkness, they do not claim to be saints because they are not. Nobody is.

Some Venus in 8th house transformation notes:

May also apply to Moon in 8th house, Venus in Scorpio, Moon in Scorpio but especially to Venus in 8H

* Venus in 8th house is a mystery. The emotions are intense. When she is happy, she is euphoric. And then she starts crying because she just recalled a repressed past memory.

* Venus in 8H is psychologically draining but financially secure. As if universe wants her to suffer psychological turmoil yet feed her and keep her warm. As if the universe compensates for her psychological experience with financial security through parental inheritance and spousal income.

* This placement is eccentric and different from many other placements. This native deliberately likes to be private, secretive and hidden. It is because she wants to keep her life hidden from public view. Not just because she fears evil eye, but also because she wants authenticity in her personal life.

* Did I say authenticity? She has a core natural personality. Intuitive, emotional, sensitive, perceptive, psychically penetrating, empathetic. She is a healer. She knows that anything which is put in public display on social media loses its authenticity. She knows that words spoken in public are insincere. She does not care for public validation, it is depth and natural connection that she craves.

* Since she battles her own complexes everyday, she can also read other people's complexes easily. Life is a constant shadow work for her. Others may be ignorant of their shadow, insecurities and reactions, while this native can read people as if playing a piano, so easily and so beautifully.

Some Venus In 8th House Transformation Notes:

* No doubt, this placement is psychologically challenging. The life theme of native revolves around transformation, rebirth, renewal, occult, psychology matters. Everyday is a new chapter in her life. Every morning she wakes up a different person. Since her core is so unstable and transformative, she finds identity and stability in occult, esoteric and mystical knowledge. Relationship is also based in identification with spouse, change in identity after wedding, merging identity with partner, having sex to "dissolve" the ego identification and become one with the universe with each orgasm.

* There is a major transformation in her younger self to older self. Before transformation, she could be impulsive and irrational. After transformation, she is completely changed, has emotional control and psychic insight. She can "see" what others cannot.

* One suggestion would be to not torture yourself with crying sessions to let go of the memories of past. We acknowledge that you are a sensitive person and you had a traumatic life, but you are not the only one with trauma. Almost all astrological placements have emotional trauma, that is just part of life. Venus 8H clings to her trauma, lives in it, keeps reliving it, that is where she self destructs. Try to live in a flow. Acknowledge the past and know that you are not alone. Do not let it fester into narcissism. Understand that even though people don't show it, everyone is suffering with emotional issues secretly - who knows this better than Venus 8H who herself keeps her dragons as pets with cute collars. Indeed, her inner demons obey her, she is that spiritually awakened and aware. You go to her house and find shadow dragons playing in grass.

Some Venus In 8th House Transformation Notes:

* So much shadow work makes her fearless, as if she is rugged and unharmed. There is a healing vibes around her. People feel at peace with her. Being in her company is like meditating in Buddha temple, that serenity, safety, security, compassion and kindness. Feminine essence at its peak. Imagine an incense stick burning with its smoke, so serene and quiet, so mysterious and elegant. That is her soul. Always in touch with her emotions, never reactive and never defensive. Just flowing peacefully with the flow of life. Look how poetic smoke is, it makes no noise, leaves no traces, it is poetry to the heart.

Some Venus In 8th House Transformation Notes:

* But this journey was not easy. The emotional healer today was once a wounded mess. We never appreciate how much of a difference emotional intelligence can make to human relationships. It changes conversations, there is no competition but understanding. She talks not because she wants to look good or show off her knowledge, she speaks because she genuinely feels a connection to your heart. Connection beyond superficiality. Connection that transforms her listener. Anyone who comes in contact with her is transformed, bewitched, hypnotized. Even the most angry person can calm down in her company, it feels just so safe to be with her. You will be heard and seen and accepted for your flaws and faults and mistakes because in the 8H there is no right or wrong, life is just a music of ups and downs. All fateful detours and blunder mistakes lead to spiritual insights. She does not judge you for anything, her only question is, "How did it make you feel? What did you learn from that experience?"

Some Venus In 8th House Transformation Notes:

Now, depending upon the rest of the chart, we see how their life manifests. For eg, If there are significant fire placements, then the native will not be so secretive and like to be in limelight for their image.

But in conclusion, something that I have noticed with this placement is a significant lack of self concept. They are easily influenced by the energy of people, absorb the energy in their environment and may even become somebody else. This is of course not nice experience because then they will be torn apart between their natural core (intuitive) and the false adaptation they just performed, this may lead to neurotic behavior and unnecessary psychological suffering. One tip is to write down the keywords related to this placement like "transformation" "sensitive" "empathetic" "shadow work" "inner work" "secretive" and whenever you feel anxiety in social settings, mentally recall these keywords to create a stable identity/anchor in your head so you do not accidentally get carried away in someone else's energy. They are especially overwhelmed by the energies of air/fire placements that lack watery elements, because these natives are too smug and harsh for the sensitive person. Another tip is to have some will power which can be hard for these natives are pleasure seeking and indulgent too, so perhaps with some practice, behavior and emotional reaction can change. Repeated exposure to environments that trigger your insecurity and instability then practice grounding yourself in your natural core, who you truly are inside.

These natives can even make therapeutic healers, energy workers, witches, can assist you in passing from one stage of life to another, just how psychotherapy or surgery or birth or death works. They are the surgeons (penetrating vision) of the soul (just a joke).

ASTRO OBSERVATIONS April 2023

ASTRO OBSERVATIONS April 2023

Scorpio is known for sex but I think it is the earth signs that are actually sensual. Earth signs such as Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn deal with senses and are the most stimulated by touch, visuals, taste, voice, beauty, pleasures of the senses. They are not intuitive but rather sensual, materialistic and interact with what is tangible, seen, physical. While Scorpio is intuitive and deals with intangible, unseen and spiritual.

Then why is Scorpio linked to sex? It is not about sexual pleasure and more about craving rebirth. Fact with Scorpios is that they discover a layer of themselves everyday going through life. Their identity, personality, beliefs need evolving and they need to die to be reborn. That intense sex is them tuning to their intuition and when they orgasm something in them dies. Since it is intuitive, each Scorpio will know what has died but it is not possible to tell it in words because it is a symbolic death. Sex to them is like a ritual, a sacred practice that assists them in passing from one stage to the next.

The force of 8th house is against will power. At best I read on a social media forum it being described like "Plutonic force is like your head being shaved against your will power, no matter how much you resist, it will happen".

Rahu can be such a fake, illusion maker and a mirage. Wherever it is placed in the natal chart can show what area of life is shown as the "ideal, picture perfect, larger than life, wow factor" but it is actually just empty behind the screen. If Rahu is in 1st house, native appears to be this dashing, grand, all-rounder person but actually nobody knows if they are actually that person or not, nobody seen them doing what they claim to do, it is just the image. If Rahu is in 10th house, they have this mirage illusion of being hard working, leader, planner, entrepreneur but they are not actually all that. If Rahu is in 7th house, they have this image of ideal partner, picture perfect couple, dream partner but actually it is just a mirage. It is the social perception that is ideal/mirage but in private something entirely different happens. For eg, they gift 100 roses to their loved one in office. Wow! How lucky, how romantic. Yet at home, they are like the partner does not even exist, totally different.

8th house moons can be hypersensitive to their mom's voice. It is as if they grow up and suddenly they are super reactive to their mom. If she says anything, 8H moon screams. "Be quiet!", "Change your tone of voice", they complain their mom irritates them which can be actually repressed memories of childhood being triggered every time mom says something. In the worst cases, they can even abuse their moms which is called "reactive abuse" where the party can no longer tolerate the abuser and explodes in anger.

Fire sign risings surely give the PERCEPTION of confidence, self assurance, burning hot even if they are extremely insecure inside, it would not appear in their persona. It is the rising sign that is how others see us and how we show ourselves to others, it is autonomous, spontaneous and unchangeable for this lifetime. Fire signs can be going through failures but not show in their faces.

Planets in 1st house emit the energy of themselves. But beware! 1st house is just the persona and your impression on others - not the actual person behind the mask. So Sun in 1st house = public perception is they are so confident and self secure. Mercury = they are so intelligent and cheerful. Jupiter = they are so wise and guide. Even if native is not these things, people are somehow convinced that they are those qualities just because of their facial expressions + language + vibes.

It is very important for 8th housers to be discerning in choosing their company/partner/friends. 8th housers are prone to feeling negative emotional hurts because they have survived extreme emotional situations in childhood, the side effects of which will last a lifetime. I also think that these natives inherit emotional wounds from their ancestors that makes them carry so much burden on their shoulders. So, they should choose such people who are empathetic, emotionally intelligent, know some psychology and know that "the wounds of swords and gun can heal but not that of the tongue". An unhealed 8th houser is like an open invitation to the world "come use me" and when the native has had enough of betrayals and shocks, they turn inwards to start doing self introspection, analysis of human nature and undergo drastic transformation.

Marry a Venus in 8h or Scorpio

Marry A Venus In 8h Or Scorpio

While Scorpio and 8th House have some similarities: need for transformation, interest in deep and dark matters, intensity of emotions; they are still different as in 8th house deals with other people's money, a secretive life, lots of secrets, dealing with partnership, death and rebirth.

What is seen with these natives, especially ladies, is that their relationship or marriage is never "stable". You see how ladies like to flaunt their husbands, post pictures and how much they love their partner to social media and be in public eye? But these natives are the kind to hide their relationship. As if it is not true love if it needs public approval. Also, we see how couples stay the same way 5+ or 15+ years later as if nothing has changed; but for these 8th houser couples, they reborn so many times that they don't even know who they were 5 months back. Two different types of lives!

Here, the wife and husband/girlfriend and boyfriend are both cynical type, suspicious, reading people, their intentions, behaviour, motivations, emotions. They never relax until they get to the root of any matter and then pick another matter and question, question, question everything. Trust is important to them, even more than euphoria of love.

Why Trust?

Marry A Venus In 8h Or Scorpio

Their life theme is usually that their childhood and relationship history are such that it is twisted, confusing, as if they were sleepwalking through a relationship and never really there. For this reason, when the relationship finally breaks down, they begin to realize how it was all just a delusion! Here, a relationship or situationship is the catalyst to bring all childhood memories to the surface and healing is a prerequisite to a better improved relationship. But all this is not easy! When they awaken from the state of "sleepiness" then their reality is shifted! Oh, I missed that red flag! Oh-he was keeping secrets from me! Oh, that was manipulation tactic! Oh, he was just like my father!! Their reality is shattered and results in cognitive dissonance, chaos, breakdown, obsessive rumination, ego dissolves, problems with self concept come to surface. "Healing" for them means to work on their Self Concept, that is, identity, confidence, self respect, boundaries, getting rid of emotional brain fog, learning what a relationship is supposed to look like, learning individuation.

8th house Venus is natural shadow worker. She intuitively knows the traits, flaws, faults, motivations, darkness and morbidity in other people. But her tendency is to integrate those dark parts in herself which is why 8H dissolves the boundary between right and wrong, bad and good, moral and immoral. To understand herself, she understands other humans. Not just the light and positive parts but the psychopathic, criminal, morbid, terrifying, scary human psychology. It is like food to her soul, to know the suffering and pain in the world. A sadist or a spiritually awakened being?

Since cognitive dissonance is a big thing for her, her no 1 priority in relationship is someone whom she can trust. Someone who will maintain her reality, will be honest, give her emotional security and keep her mentally stable. A dishonest or deceptive lover is her nightmare because the chaos of "figuring out my boyfriend" will drain her. She needs someone who is transparent and self aware so that her emotions are stablized and fears under control.

Husband

Marry A Venus In 8h Or Scorpio

Like attracts like. Boyfriend/husband himself is mirror to these ladies. He is also suspicious, cynical, peeling layers of emotions, craving depth, has unstable self concept unless he is actively working on it, jealousy and possessive are not cute things, they are symptoms of weak Self concept. Since both parties are similar in nature, they understand each other. But not every marriage is that fulfilling! Sometimes partners are really incompatible or the awakening never happens, 8th house never activates. So, just 8th placement is not enough but the timing and dasha will determine how spiritual, healer, psychic they are.

Partner may have this past history, all or any of them:

Man with trauma, dark childhood

Loving a man with dark past

Scapegoat of his family

Fragile masculinity, emasculated by society

Emotionally neglected by his parents

Her man needs healing, security and understanding

He is a hunter type, fears abandonment, controlling

Mommy issues, his mom was a dragon, devours him, he is afraid of his femininity

Man is psychically penetrating, hyperalert, always reading the room, sensitive to energy, psychic types

Most Important

Marry A Venus In 8h Or Scorpio

If Venus is in 8th house, this marriage is life changing. Transformative. Significant status difference between maiden life and married life. "Woah! She married that gentleman! He is so rich." Like in Pride and Prejudice, Elizabeth Bennett marries Mr. Darcy who is high class, wealthy and royalty type. There is something luxurious, old money, typical about this marriage. A typical politically connected or socially prestigious family. Sometimes people say 8th house is Karmic, fated, to let go control, money owed to them. I wonder if it is their husband who is paying back her debts to her? Is that why marriage transforms her life? Is marriage a karmic contract to pay back her loan given to husband? Perhaps it is.

Forced to Inner World

Marry A Venus In 8h Or Scorpio

At some point in her life, she realized that her life was not quite same as others. She got aware of "psyche" something which has no evidence and is not scientific or physically seen. But for these natives, they are intuitively aware of psyche and how it surrounds us everywhere. In Man and His Symbols, Dr. Carl Jung says how the primitive people were so unconscious that they simply acted on their impulses and the images they saw in their head. They even thought that the animals and trees were their soul/spirit and were deeply submerged in the unconscious. 8th house is like that state of unconsciousness and then you come to awareness with a shock and again go back to unconsciousness. We are living in a flow state and only when something crisis, emergency or catastrophic happens that we awaken and soon go back to the flow state. That "awakening" is the hallmark of this house.

Another thing to be seen here is that these natives are forced to live in the inner world. They do not choose spirituality but have no choice - are forced to choose it. Since their emotions and conscience are quite sharp, they "feel" their way through life. (Trigger warning death) Let's say you killed your parents' dog accidentally and hid it in their own backyard and then lied about it to your parents when they asked where dog is. As the days go by, you feel that regret growing larger and larger. It creeps on you, eats you from inside, feels heavy in your body. That "I did something wrong" feeling never goes away. Imagine living with that feeling 24x7, that is your conscience.

For these natives, their conscience is just hyperactive. It is their guide through life. If they dismiss their conscience, they are faced with external consequences in physical life. There is a saying "As above, so below" which fits to these natives, which means that the inner life and outer life are just the reflection of each other. If we sit back to think about the past, we realize how everything is connected to everything else. That nothing was random. Self-reflection and pattern seeking are highlighted in this house. Any planet that is placed in 8th or 12th house is partially submerged in the underworld and the only way to maintain a life is to dig that "hidden" something. Occult tools, psychoanalysis, reading people, meditation are really helpful to make the unconscious comprehensible. This way they can even avoid the unnecessary unpreditable sufferings of this house.

I have seen how native if lives absent mindedly, without thinking of their actions, they always face instant karma in physical life or the psychic life. In psychic world, they feel guilt, unexplainable regret, negative emotions, shame, depression, etc. If they ignore these symptoms for too long, it will all explode with a blast BUT the healing will finally begin. For the sake of your mental stability, keep doing self reflection and avoid unnecessarily events and suffering.

It takes some time and understanding to realize what Self awareness means. The society we live in, cultural and social behaviours are contrary to self awareness. We live in an extraverted, materialistic, narcissistic society; you have to just be opposite of that -- introverted, spiritual and empathetic. These natives are not born healers, they are wounded healers. They may even feel external locus of control and surrender to psychic forces because their life is just so stormy.

My only advice is: To keep your eyes open! Just because your friends or some celebrities can indulge in behaviours and get away with it, it does not mean that you can too. Instant Karma is something that happens in 8th housers life a lot. Once you identify it, you can then change your behaviour and language to avoid these suffering.
