When Lan Wangji came back to the bedroom, breakfast now spread out on the table, Wei Wuxian was already awake and sitting up in bed, even though it was way too early for his standards. The soft sheets were still partly wrapped around him, as was the innermost robe of the rich, red wedding robes Lan Wangji had peeled him out of the night before. The shimmering red fabric with little gems sewn into the hems was pooling around his form in a lovely contrast to the pale blue sheets, exposing the creamy skin of his back and arms.

When Wei Wuxian turned to him, he smiled, his dark hair flowing down his back in mussed waves, reminding Lan Wangji of how he had combed his fingers through it in the night, how he had wrapped it around his hand, had pulled it…

“Lan Zhan”, Wei Wuxian interrupted his straying thoughts, his fingers beginning to absentmindedly braid some of the hair over his shoulder, a soft smile on his lips. “Good morning.”

“Mn. Good morning”, he answered, unable to take his eyes off the picture of this, his, beautiful, precious man in his bed.

“Is breakfast already here? I must say I’m starving after all that strenuous activity you put me through last night, Lan Zhan.” The smile on Wei Wuxian’s lips turned into a wicked little grin and in a bit, Lan Wangji would go over there and kiss those lips until they drop open to let out all those delicious little sounds his shameless husband made last night.

In a bit, after he gave himself a few more moments to savor this picture before him, so he may never forget it…
