Thank u for speaking about this because ppl on here have made everything Paige has ever done somehow about azzi. Azzi is an AMAZING player that deserves recognition but it’s so diminishing to her that all her popularity is tied to her and Paige’s relationship. It’s also so weird for people to constantly be analysing everything they do as ‘proof’ of a relationship. And whenever anyone brings this up, the ‘fans’ talk down on Paige to bring azzi up, like let’s be honest azzi would have half her popularity if not for Paige. Paige is her own person, azzi is her own person. Stop forcing this duo and writing think pieces on why they are soulmates

This is the type of behavior that I know they’re embarrassed to be pressed about because it shows how they’re desperately pushing her into Paige’s spotlight & that she doesn’t have enough popularity of her own. She NEEDS to be linked to Paige in order to have some type of media attention. It’s just funny to me cause every time I see these ‘fans’ downplay Paige, it’s to uplift her because that’s the only way for them to feel a sense of superiority which is so sad cause everyone notices how much those ‘fans’ overcompensate with compliments.

I can acknowledge that she’s talented just like any other basketball player at UConn, but she wouldn’t be where she is or get any of the opportunities that she has now if it wasn’t for Paige.

Apologies in advance because I didn’t think my posts would blow up as much as they did but a lot of people have shared opinions with me on this topic and I think it’s worth going into since this is what a lot of fans try to harass others into not speaking about.

I get like 10-15 anonymous messages an hour and try to respond to a couple every hour that i’m online so i’m not clogging up all of Paige’s tags… i’ll get to every single one.

Paige absolutely needs to detach herself from Azzi in the public eye and maybe even irl too cause look at how far people go to ruin her image for that girl…

You guys absolutely have no boundaries. Just because people are speculating who released them in the first place, doesn’t mean you get to put that back on the internet as a way to get back at Paige.

It bring me back to the main point of why I started being vocal about Paige’s social circle in the first place. It’s not uncommon for fans to gravitate toward certain athletes based on shared experiences, whether through race, culture, or other factors. Some of you people feel more connected to Azzi and believe she deserves recognition in her own right because of her being black and this is not up for debate. It has led y’all to downplay Paige as a whole. This created an environment where Paige’s achievements are often dismissed to make Azzi feel better about not being on the same level as she is, which is frustrating for her true supporters because you guys will fill all her content comments and make it about Azzi and overcompensate all the time and i’m so over it.

as a public relations business major, I don’t think it’s wise for paige to professionally tie herself to azzi (just my opinion). I don’t really care about their personal lives at all, but professionally, it’s not smart. I think lesbians (coming from one lol) are super messy, and it’s obvious to everyone that paige and azzi are off and on.

It’s sweet to include your partner in things that you do, and if I was paige i’d definitely be tempted to do the same things. however, mixing business with pleasure is never a good idea. especially since paige has a fan base that’s super involved in her personal life and digs into every interaction she has with azzi.

I don’t know why nobody on paige’s management team is telling her this, but to each their own.

I absolutely agree that mixing personal and professional relationships can complicate things, especially in the public eye. Given the scrutiny Paige faces, it would be wise for her to maintain some boundaries. as someone who works in journalism and studied comms i 110% agree with the pr anon, i think it’s fine to show up to places together and all that but doing business/sponsorships together is not gonna be so good and we see this allll the time when people mix personal and business

I have to anonymous message about this that also want to know and i’m very curious as well because how on earth do you get banned from a women’s basketball event where the team is young girls… There’s only a select few options to choose from here and they’re all not good at all.
