I just finished reading it and I think it resonates well with queer youth today. Especially from personal experience growing up with a couple of closeted queer siblings myself. This book tackles the inner and outer struggle of confronting / trying to understand and express your sexuality and dealing with the aftermath from your family once you’re out. “Pray The Gay Away” does a great job of illustrating the journey “coming out” takes for both the parent and child. It’s a good read for any parent with queer children or any Queer young adults alike! I so loved the book I wanted to make an illustration of the @zakartwins with a little homage to the 1998 “Parent Trap”, with this fun little illustration inspired by their photo shoot with the amazing @taylormillerphoto !
