So you know how Blade somehow has a driver’s license? As amusing as it would be to imagine him getting one despite being a wanted criminal, I want to take an angstier approach:
What if, while he was still Yingxing, around the time he got into his early adulthood, Baiheng decided that he should learn how to drive a starskiff because *life skills*. And who better than to learn from than the master starskiff pilot herself?
So ensues the typical driving lessons chaos, except worse because Baiheng is notorious for crashing starskiffs and Yingxing is trying very hard not to follow her footsteps in that regard.
Eventually Yingxing manages to pass his driving test and Baiheng takes him out to a celebratory dinner to congratulate him and her totally awesome and totally safe starskiff driving teaching skills.
Centuries later, Blade still thinks back to those times with Baiheng whenever he drives.
