Random TPC headcannons :D
▲ Pentagons have pretty rough skin due to their ability, it’s kinda like calloused skin
▲ Barracuda was also really into drawing just like Gold is
▲ Pentellow has absolutely no sense of self preservation whatsoever partially due to her increased durability. She got better at not doing stupid impulsive things once she became a caretaker but like, the urge to do it is still there. Honestly she wouldn’t be alive anymore had she been born a different shape
▲ Cube has a really pretty singing voice but he hates singing in front of others, the only people he feels comfortable singing around are Lythorus and Cyan
▲ Pentellow and Pyrare are both interested in geology, they like to show eachother cool minerals and rocks they found
▲ Iris also tried to get into geology at one point but he can’t remember the names or anything about the different rocks so yeah, he still loves listening to Pentellow talk about it even if he’s a bit lost
▲ Cube and Lythorus have so many inside jokes that only the two of them get, most of them are pretty much incomprehensible to anyone but them
▲ Gold, despite not being too vocal about it, cares a lot about all the other heroes and he kinda feels responsible for them since he’s the oldest and most experienced of them all (He’s like the older sibling that doesn’t show affection often but cares, a LOT)
▲ Iris was just as freaked out about Pyrare being a monster when he and Pentellow met him as Cube was, Pentellow was always completely chill about it and was actually pretty excited to have a monster in the team (Pyrare was the first monster other than Dub both of them had ever encountered)
▲ Gold is very curious about Barracuda. Ever since he first learnt about him he’s been trying to pry information about him from Pyrare but he rarely tells him anything
Guys, imagine the other caretakers visit Pyrare’s house and he makes them soup, but he has to put it in tea cups because his bowls are too big for them 💔💔

Okay so a little announcement? I suppose
I’ve started working on a little pink corruption au so I thought I may as well share what I’ve come up with so far.
This au is kinda like a reimagining of the pink corruption but I’ll try slowing down the pacing and focus on things the original didn’t and I personally would’ve liked to see more of or changing a few things up (just so this is clear I do not want to come off as if I’m “fixing” the original, on one hand yeah I don’t like all of the writing in the og series and I feel like there’s a lot of room for improvement, on the other hand however I’m no professional or particularly experienced writer and I’m just doing this for fun)
Now onto what I’ve cooked up so far: (I’m still planning on rewatching the entire series again for inspiration so stuff might still change)
I want the main focus to be on the plot but also on the caretakers and their heroes, mostly how they all cope with everything and their relationships with one another.
So with that said, here’s a rundown on what I have planned for some of the heroes and caretakers:
Cube- At only 19 years old Cube was chosen as the fourth caretaker, understandably this caused him a lot of distress and anxiety. He was barely an adult, he had other plans for his future and he did not at all feel capable of bearing such a responsibility. But that was all irrelevant and in the end he was given his hero on that dreaded day. It did not take Cube long to grow attached to the little cyan hero, he couldn’t hold anything against the little guy, he was clearly just as powerless when it came to the choice as he was, and so slowly he pushed his hesitation aside. He was a caretaker now, it did not matter whether or not he wanted this. Cyan was more important. But one night Cyan awoke scared from a terrible vision, Cube still couldn’t understand a word from the incoherent beeps of his hero and Cyan refused to calm down. Before the break of dawn Cube found himself following his hero to the cave Dub was sealed in. And we all know the story from there, they don’t fix the seal properly, Dub breaks free, the corruption begins and Cube himself gets corrupted. This is all more than stressful for Cube, but he doesn’t have the opportunity to dwell on his feelings. He’s a caretaker now. A corrupt one to make things worse. A corrupted caretaker that knows full well people don’t trust him because of it. One that knows if he dare get too close to his hero, it will only strengthen his corruption. And after accidentally attacking his already hurt hero he makes the painful decision of distancing himself as much as he can from Cyan to ensure his corruption can’t get any worse. “For Cyan’s sake”
Pyrare- The first of all the caretakers. The man who had been there to see it all, from the start of the corruption till the fall of his own son. After he’d initially ended the corruption he had wanted to go into mourning in privacy, to deal with the loss of his first and only son. However life had other plans and had assigned him the role of a caretaker. He didn’t get the chance to properly cope. In the midst of having to fight his own son and getting corrupted he’d been gifted with the burden of taking care of another child, his beloved hero Gold. Even if it hurt, he took Gold in after the corruption, it took them both time to heal together but they both grew close afterwards. Though Pyrare still refused to open up about Barracuda despite how much Gold asked and begged him to. Together with Gold he lived a quiet and still life in the mountains as most monsters do, away from other shapes, somewhere they could both be safe and never have to worry about anything again. He knew running away from his responsibility of making sure Dub was kept at bay was selfish, but he just couldn’t face him. And so for years he had to just blindly trust whoever the other caretakers ended up being to ensure peace stayed in Paradise… Till one day all of his worst fears caught up with him once more…
Cyan- (Now for this one I need to explain a little change I made to how heroes work. You know that “baby” form the heroes have when they are first born? The one where they can’t really talk or do much? Well, instead of just immediately being able to develop their next form and the ability to speak, they have to have a bit of time in just their “baby” form. Usually this phase of their development does not take more than a week, however things like getting injured, prematuring or other outside stresses can cause this phase to last longer) Cyan is the youngest and least experienced of the four heroes, despite not knowing what he’s doing and being not even a year old he feels very responsible for everything going on. He’s determined to fulfill his duties as a hero and the expectations of everyone around himself. Though deep down he’s just a very scared and confused child clinging to the one sense of belonging he has. After the corruption started Cyan ended up getting injured and found himself incapable of growing up from his initial form as much as he tried. He didn’t want to be so much weaker than the other heroes, he didn’t like relying on them to translate everything he wanted to say to non-heroes and most importantly of all he wanted Cube to stop ignoring him.
Gold- Being the oldest of the heroes Gold feels a responsibility over the other heroes, almost like an older brother. He cares a lot about the people around him even if Gold isn’t always the best at showing it. He grew up fairly isolated from other shapes and so has had very little experience when it comes to socialising growing up. (Also he tends to be a bit bitter towards shapes that make a big deal out of Pyrare being a monster, Pyrare has told him several times that it’s understandable and that he doesn’t mind but Gold still takes offence for him) He and Pyrare are very close and rarely get into serious arguments but when they do it usually involves Barracuda one way or another. Gold is very aware of just how similar he and Barracuda are, Pyrare doesn’t like admitting it but he’s over-spoken in arguments enough times for Gold to connect the dots.
(((I’ll write about Iris, Pentellow and their heroes later if anyone will be interested but I feel like this is already waay to long as is, if you’ve read the whole thing up to this point then I genuinely applaud and thank you)))

Random TPC head cannons once again!!
▲ Dub has written songs for Barracuda, he still plays them on his guitar sometimes
▲ Iris and Circusic loved to shit-talk and gossip about people at the palace when they were younger, like 50% of it was about Iris’ father
▲ Every time someone makes a big deal about Pyrare being a monster Gold gets offended on his behalf, Pyrare has tried to explain to him that he really doesn’t mind and that it’s understandable but Gold still does it anyway. He had one sided beef with Cube for a while
▲Cube once punched a hole into Lythorus’ wall on accident, he’s apologised for it like 100 times now and Lythorus really doesn’t mind but still likes to bring it up because he finds it funny
▲Pyrare had actually been married before. He and Barracuda’s mother got married because of their families putting pressure onto them and whatnot, by the time they had Barracuda they both knew they weren’t in love (romantically) so they ended up splitting so they could both do their own thing. They ended the relationship on really good terms however so they still send each other letters and occasionally visit the other
▲Barracuda never saw Pyrare’s ex-wife as his mom, more like a cool aunt
▲After Barracuda’s death Pyrare closed himself off from pretty much all of his old friends, that’s why Ajacenus was so surprised to see him
▲Ajacenus and Pyrare were pretty close at one point, she was originally a friend of his ex-wife but they ended up becoming very good friends as well. Pyrare often wrote her letters
▲Pyrare really doesn’t like using his powers. Even Pentellow and Iris have only seen him use his powers once. It happened after he finally got tired of Pentellow constantly asking and nagging him about it, and dear god did that take an obnoxious amount of time

Okie so here’s a very unorganised rant about my pink corruption oc Pearl! :3
(@astronic-fr sorry for the ping but I saw you ask about her in the tags of my previous post so yeah-)
I briefly went over her personality before but I’ll go into some more depth.
Pearl’s an introvert, she’s not that good at reading the room or socialising so she tends to just stick to herself most of the time. However once she does get emotionally attached to someone she’s a very loving and loyal person, does she disappear into the woods for a few weeks? Yeah, but Pearl will always come back to you. (If anyone here knows the Moomins she’s kinda like Snuffkin in that regard)
Pearl’s also a very adventurous and easily excitable person, she likes travelling around paradise and seeing new places. (Barracuda ended up inheriting this endless curiosity- for better or worse) She’s easily distracted by things around her and so conversations with Pearl are doomed to trail way off topic.
Now as for her lore with Pyrare:
Pearl and Pyrare met through a mutual friendship with Ajacenus.
The two of them ended up becoming close friends themselves. They’re both more on the quieter side and Pyrare didn’t mind her occasional eccentricity. Pearl was always fond of his kind-hearted and patient nature.
As Pearl got older her family started putting pressure on her to settle down with someone (partially since they believed it would get her head out of the clouds), she never really liked the idea of marriage and starting a family but it didn’t really seem like she could do much else with her life.
So, since Pyrare was one of her dearest friends Pearl thought I’d be only logical for the two of them to get married.
Pyrare himself wasn’t against the idea, he did want to start a family even if his relationship with Pearl didn’t feel quite like how others had described romance.
And so they got married.
It took both of them a good few years to slowly realise neither of them were really romantically interested in one another, for a while they still tried to make it work but in the end they both wanted very different futures.
Pyrare always craved stability and peace, he wanted to start a family and spend the rest of his life in a small comfortable house.
Meanwhile Pearl finds the idea of settling down and staying there agonising. Not to mention the thought of being responsible for a child terrified her.
So they eventually came to a compromise of sorts, they had Barracuda but split up right after. Barracuda stayed under Pyrare’s care, and once he got the hang of being a parent Pearl left. The two of them stayed in contact and Pearl still visited them frequently, being a sort of “cool aunt” figure for Barracuda.
Now, during the events of the first corruption and Barracuda’s death Pearl wasn’t nearby. So she only learnt of the whole incident after it had all already happened from Pyrare when she came back.
Pearl was devastated, even if she hadn’t been a mother to Barracuda for most of his life he was still her baby. She still loved him dearly. In her initial shock and grief Pearl said a lot of things to Pyrare she didn’t really mean, he didn’t take that well.
After Cuda’s death Pyrare isolated himself from pretty much everyone other than Gold (whose existence Pearl didn’t even know about, Pyrare didn’t intentionally hide him but Pearl snapped way before he could begin explaining the caretaker ordeal to her), Pearl herself went into mourning for a few years but unlike Pyrare she soon was back in touch with her loved ones.
Pyrare practically disappearing worried those who knew him. Particularly Ajacenus, even when Pearl still didn’t want to talk to him Ajacenus tried to reach out to him several times. After a while even Pearl grew concerned, but despite the many letters she sent to Pyrare over the course of several years she never got a response.
And so life had to move on.
Pearl has managed to somewhat cope with the whole ordeal but she still blames herself for both lashing out at Pyrare at a time he needed support the most and a part of her also blames herself for Barracuda’s death, maybe if she had been more present in his life she could’ve prevented it somehow…
Also some random lighthearted fun facts so I don’t end this on a depressing mood:
•Pearl has tried to learn how to knit before and despises it with her entire soul, she likes watching Pyrare knit though
•She has a lot of random acquaintances all over paradise
•Both her and Pyrare love physical affection
•When they were younger she used to constantly drag Pyrare out to go on silly adventures or to go exploring with her
•She lived with Ajacenus and her sisters for a short while after Cuda’s death
Pyrare is really good at history, english and literature
Iris would also be good at history (he definitely had to learn some as a prince) and geography as well
Cube gives me STEM energy for no reason, I can see him being good at biology and probably music as well
And Pentellow’s good at gym 👍 But also I can see her being really good at math for some reason, but in like an intuitive way if you guys get what I mean? She doesn’t remember any of the formulas but if you give her a math equation she can solve it scarily quickly. She’s ass at geometry though.
(Actually I have a math teacher like that at my school, she’s super extroverted, sporty and chaotic but she’s really good at math)
