How does Toshiya do that... sound with his mic stand during Karasu (might be other songs as well)? He just grabs it and kind of twists it and it makes the scratching sound...

Oh he actually grits the mic stand against the strings of his bass, so it is the strings that produce the grating sound. 

I am not sure if you were wishing for a better explanation, but this is what I can offer hahah.
