a/n: i’ve always wanted to braid ran’s hair in his younger self. so i wrote something with. xoxo•ᴗ•

"babe.. are you done--"

"shut up, ran.” your cheeks formed into a pout for a brief moment and you licked your lips as a sign of concentration. fingers tangled into his lock, straightening his tousled hair. it was silky, smooth and. kind to the touch. you took up more and more time, and since your boyfriend is knowingly a low maintenance it was easy to shutter his eyes close at any second. and that didn’t help either how gently you massaged his scalp.

silence. his head slightly slumped forward. ran could never resist your caresses and wouldn’t want to either. it was 9:04 pm. his tiredness swallowed him whole, even this early in the night but you were uninterested. he promised. he sworn, that one time or another you’re allowed to braid his hair.

“ran.” quiet. “sweetheart, you’re up?” he was in fact not up. the boy you called out for was in complete slumber. you let go of his hair and moved your hands to the nape of his neck. nails digging into his flesh, pinching him.

a low grunt. “… why'd you do that for?…” you hear ran's groggy voice call out.

“sit still.” you hummed. “the two parts won’t be equal if your head is not straight…” an exhale in response from the man. you bit back a chuckle.

“‘m cold…” he whined. "why not just hugging me instead?.." you stopped with your work, still holding his strands. then a random voice told you: just pull on it. and you did.

“ow!—” he yelped as you yanked his hair from behind. ‘damn. i shouldn’t have done that, have i?’ and you were right. he snapped his head backwards too look at you. sharp violet orbs piercing into your soul like daggers. then his eyes moved up on your arm, seeing you grip into his blonde-black hair.

your blood ran cold. a deep gulp and you finally managed to stutter out an apology. "..ran.. sorry--"

the ice-cold expression melting away, he snarled. "sweets.." your hands fell to your side. he turned his torso towards you, sitting on the edge of your bed. you fell backwards from the kneeling position behind him, laying your body weight on your thighs, now sitting on them. you know you can't play your ways with him but sometimes you just couldn't care less. note to yourself: you should care.

your instincts told you you probably need to make as much space between you two as humanly possible before he just scoops up your body. unfortunately for you, it happened before you could've take action.

grabbing your shoulder, pushing into the soft cushions. black locks tickling the soft skin of yours. face to face, while he was pinning you down. "if you want to run away, act faster than you think... just a friendly reminder." you already tried that. never worked, and he knew that. grin wider than it should be, he descended next to you on the sheets. his hair still not done, but considering the events of this night, you might just let it be like that.

"you're just something else.. being brave enough to do this, huh.." you flinched at his words. ran spooned you up from behind, hands dropped over your delicate hips, warm and gentle breath hugging around your neck. "hey.. i'm not angry." damn it. you thought you can hide how shocked and maybe even scared you were by the way he suddenly changed mood at you. you nodded, letting out the remaining breath from your lungs, pulling yourself together. the hand that had draped over your side, started rubbing sweet circles into the skin of your tummy, eventually stopping after he drifted to sleep but not before pressing a few smooches to your back and murmuring a good night.

⋆˙.’ We all know how lazy is Ran so when you offer to braid his hair for him, he would be so relieved that he doesn’t has to do it himself. Now we have Rindou here, when they were younger, he used to be the one doing it for Ran but when they got older, Rin just casually forgot about it and didn’t had the time. When he saw you braiding Ran’s hair, he got so much nostalgia… -that he left you alone with Ran. Yeah, he’s done with that shit. He doesn’t even want to see you taking care of it, so much effort and so much time he put it in Ran’s hair care. Now that’s over.

⋆˙.’ But if you stumble over to Rindou, asking him if you could braid his hair too, he would furrow his eyebrows, almost as if he’s thinking about it. -in reality he just thinks about how he should decline your request, as kindly as possible.- “no” “why?? :(((” “my hair’s not made for that kind of stuff, ask Ran.” and he’s already shooing you off.

⋆˙.’ I feel like Ran would be more of an ass-kinda guy. (he loves all of you but that squishy flesh’s his favorite part on you) Wear leggings, mini skirts will do the work or just a simple close fitting dress. Wouldn’t be afraid to show how you made him feel, even in public. Thighs also something he loves the touch of. The bigger the better. Being insecure about them just makes him worship you and your thighs even more. ⋆˙.’ Since Ran has a really bad eyesight and how he refuses to wear glasses, he usually gets really close to you when you’re talking. At first you got intimidated, leaning your body back a little. Ran didn’t know why did you do that, but after you explained, he explained too about his bad eyesight, everything got clear to you, but sometimes how out of the blue he gets closer to you, still frightens you.

⋆˙.’ On the contrary Rindou can keep his distance. He doesn’t really likes to get close to people, even if they’re someone he’s friends or family with. He would just simply scrunch his eyes at them. But it’s rare when you see him without glasses, most of the time only when he’s fighting.

⋆˙.’ They DO NOT know how to cook. Ran tried for Rindou once, trying to take care of him as the helpful big brother he is, ended up causing fire. Rindou tried too, out of fun or just saying one time he’s gonna live alone and he should know how to take care of himself. Ended up just like Ran’s trying. So you (try to) cook. They always help tho, since in their clingy moments they wouldn’t leave you alone.

⋆˙.’ Jealousy between them almost doesn’t exists. Ran knows how Rindou needs you too, and vice-versa. He can’t just have you all for himself when you agreed to share affection between them. So Ran takes it easy, sometimes being playful about it how he wants you to spend time with him.

⋆˙.’ But Rindou can be sometimes really sad. He knows too, how his brother needs you too, but the deep down boiling jealousy can’t be always pushed back. It doesn’t come out as aggression, but sadness. You instantly notice his behavior change and confront him about it. Of course he refuses to admit it at first, but a bit nudging and he’s on your chest, you comforting him while he’s venting over his problems. After he’s back to his usual self, he can’t help but feel ashamed by you seeing this side of him.

⋆˙.’ However, jealousy over another guy is an another whole and scarier topic. It does come out as aggression from both of them. Ran starting with only harsh looks and words towards the new male, turning into heated and sometimes bloody fights. It happens much when he realizes that you’re uncomfortable too in the other person’s company and seemingly not have a pleasant experience.

⋆˙.’ Rindou’s easier to trigger, after a few gulps and sending daggers in your direction, fists are already clenched, ready to launch towards the other person. Ran would be the only person to stop him in the lucky cases when he’s there but on unfortunate times when it happens that he is apparently not there, everything would unfold much quicker.

⋆˙.’ The whole stuff darkens when you saw the menacing smiles on their faces, while beating the other guy to pulp. It makes them happy, knowing how they successfully protected you, and simply the guy who got beaten up is just a pretty sight for them somehow.

⋆˙.’ Ran is not that easy to make mad, (if its about you) he tries to look away a lot of things for you, expect other males. Other males makes him rut (Rindou not included) seeing you talk with them, hearing you talk about them, having fun with them, getting close to them from your will, just makes him see red. That’s probably the only time he would get angry with you or raise his voice at you, other times he would be pretty chill. Or when he is mad he does not get to the ‘yelling’ phase. His scary look and the coldness in his tone makes you wave that white flag.

⋆˙.’ Rindou is just like Ran. Other males are a strict topic in the household, but other than that he wouldn’t raise his voice. He would use his physical strength. Especially if you’re shorter, weaker and younger. Probably wouldn’t hurt you that much, but it sure does hurts.
