I’M JUST GLAD YOU’RE ALIVE: part 1/X
Gibbs' daughter alive. She has been held in captivity in Mexico. She is soon rescued but will her father remember her? Is she ready to face him?
Enjoy
Not McGee carrying around a head in a bag at a crime scene and forgetting he’s even carrying a head. 😭
Love is Like a Butterfly

The day started just like any other. Get up at 5 am, make coffee, get ready, head to work. The last thing on Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ mind was falling for the newest member of the team. But there was something about the way she demonstrated kindness not only to the victim’s family and friends, but to random people she met during her day at work. Or maybe it was her infectious smile that seemed to light up any room she was in, or the fact that she seemed to never let the horrors of the job faze her, she was always the same optimistic, kind person day after day.
“Grab your gear, we got a body.” The familiar voice of her boss rang through the air as she was telling DiNozzo about her weekend. She rushed to meet the team in the elevator and she would be lying if she said she didn’t notice how close Gibbs was to her. So close in fact, their hands brushed against each other’s. Or maybe it was how vivid his baby blue eyes are or how softly he speaks to Abby. The car ride to the crime scene was relatively quiet except for the odd movie quote thrown out by DiNozzo and Ziva getting confused at whatever movie quote DiNozzo was talking about.
They meet Palmer and Ducky there, as well as McGee who drove the evidence van. The crime scene was in the middle of a meadow on the outskirts of a forest. After the evidence was bagged, photos were taken, and Palmer and Ducky drove off, Gibbs realized she had disappeared a few minutes ago. It didn’t take long to find her. She was standing almost perfectly still, and at the very edge of her fingertip, was a monarch butterfly.
He would be lying if he said he didn’t notice how almost angelic she looked. The sun was making her hair appear brighter and if he really looked hard enough, he could see the lighter strands of hair that oh so gently framed her face. She had the look of pure delight on her face as the butterfly delicately crawled around her hand for a bit then breezily flew away. He would also be lying if he said he didn’t start to fall for her right then and there. Little did they both know, their developing feelings were not one-sided at all.

High achiever, don't you see?

Baby, nothing comes for free

They say I'm a control freak
Driven by a greed to succeed

Nobody can stop me
'Cause it's my problem if I want to pack up and run away

It's my business if I feel the need to smoke and drink and sway
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide

And it's my problem if I have no friends and feel I want to die

Paring: McGee x sister!reader

13 days until y/n was home. Home with the team. Home on American soil.
“Timothy McGee?” You looked up to see a man in a marine uniform standing before you.
“Yes?” You questioned.
“The Maine Corps regrets to inform you that your sister, Y/n McGee was killed in action on April 25.”
“No.” You whispered. You felt a tear stream down your cheek.
“You okay Tim?” Tony asked. You know he cared when he didn’t even call you a nickname.
“I remember the day she told me she wanted to be a Marine. Almost as if it was yesterday.”
——————————————————————————
“Don’t do it.” You said.
“What do you mean ‘don’t do it.’? Tim, I wanna serve my country and your telling me not too?”
“Y/n, your my baby sister. I don’t want you to get hurt, I don’t wanna hear the day you won’t be coming back home.”
——————————————————————————
Ziva walked up to you, grabbing your wrist, pulling you to the elevator. You hadn’t bothered to look up from your desk one you started to cry. Once she stopped the elevator you looked up her. Tears still running down her cheeks.
“McGee. Y/n wanted to tell you this when she got back from her deployment but, uhm, since she won’t be, I’ll, uhm, do it for her. Y/n she’s gay, her and I are- were- dating.”
“Wow. Uhm, how long?”
“About three years. I was, gonna propose a week after her return.” She pulled the engagement ring out of her pocket. Tears continued to stream down her face. “I had it engraved with her initials, not y/f/i.M. but y/f/i.D.” She ran her finger over the engraving.
Three months later
Reader’s Perspective
I was finally coming home. You had been tortured and brutally beaten, but you were finally coming home. You went off to fight a battle in Afghanistan when you disappeared shortly before many I.E.D.’s went off leaving many charred and unidentifiable bodies. Since you were nowhere to be found. You were assumed to be one of those bodies. You were found by another squad, and they rescued you. Walking into the squad room you saw the orange walls you never thought you’d miss so much.
“Hi guys.” You said, standing between Tony and Ziva’s desk. McGee looked up from his desk.
“Y/n?!” He shouted. You nodded as you saw the other agents glance up shocked. Tim and Ziva walked over, hugging you, both at the same time, cautious of your bruises. Once Tim pulled away, Ziva pulled you into a kiss. At first you were startled but you quickly fell into the kiss. Her lips soft, and sweet crashing against yours. Once you pulled away from the kiss you smiled and then said,
“You realize you did that in front of the entire team? Including my brother?”
“Y/n he knows. He’s known, when we thought you were dead, I told him. You said that you were going to when you got back from your deployment so I wanted to honor that.” You jumped as Tony hugged you from behind.
“Glad to have you back, y/n.”
“It’s good to be back.” You said.
“Y/n, listen, I didn’t want to do this here but I can’t wait. I waited and I thought I lost you. So, this may not have been my exact plan but I still wanna do this.” Ziva said, she walked over to her desk and pulled out a red velvet box from one of the drawers. She walked over to you and got down on one knee.
“What are you doing?” You asked, knowing the answer.
“Y/n I’ve loved you for years. Way longer than we’ve been dating. After three years, I was finally ready to propose. I went and got this ring, just for you before your deployment but I- I hesitated. Then you deployed and then I got news that you died. But you came back and I just knew I couldn’t waist anymore time. Y/n, will you marry me?”
“Yes! Yes! Ziva David, don’t you ever hesitate again.” You said as she slipped the ring on your finger. Once the chaos was over, Gibbs walked over and pulled you into a hug. Refusing to let go of you, you smiled.
You were finally home

Does anyone want me to add them to my tag list for all my ncis work or just for characters? I write for Tony, McGee, Ziva, Ellie, and Gibbs. I struggle with the last three so there isn’t as many but I try
Partners in Crime: Part I
Author: The Crime Files
Summary: After discovering a lead, you and DiNozzo bring in two suspects for questioning.
Main Character(s): Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Anthony DiNozzo, and Timothy McGee (makes an appearance)
Stepping out of the elevator, the hushed sounds of frustrated voices could be heard coming from the bullpen as you’re met with the sight of your boss, fast asleep at his desk and surrounded by your fellow agents.
“Do it, probie.” DiNozzo argues in a low voice.
“Why do I have to do it?”
“Because I’m the senior field agent and I’m giving you an order.”
With a quiet sigh, you grab the cup of coffee and the case file from your desk before making your way over to the marine.
“Is that coffee?” He asks, jerking awake. McGee hurries back to his own desk as you nod in acknowledgment, placing the cup in his hand. He takes a sip of the bitter liquid before turning his attention to you.
“The prints don’t match, Gibbs.” You hand him the file as he opens it and reads through the information.
“Are you sure,” questions DiNozzo. “They look the same to me.”
“Oh, Tony... you’re lucky you’re pretty.” You place a finger underneath his chin and direct his attention to the screen. “Each fingerprint has a set of identifiable characteristics - such as, deltas and bifurcations - that allow us to distinguish one print from another... that’s what makes them so unique.”
He walks up to the screen to examine the prints and you follow him, pointing to each individual detail. “Looking at these prints, we can see that the one on the right is an arch and the one on the left is a loop... the arch is a partial but there was just enough ridge detail for me to examine it and compare the two.”
“If they don’t match, then what are you still doing here? Find out who they belong to!” Demands Gibbs, voice laced with impatience.
“I already did.”
“Good girl.” He praises, placing a soft kiss on your cheek. “I want them in here for questioning, DiNozzo. Now!”
“On it, boss! Let’s go bring 'em in…” says DiNozzo.

Silver Fox
Author: The Crime Files
Summary: The team, including Parker, find out about your little crush on him.
Main character(s): Alden Parker, Timothy McGee, Nick Torres and Jimmy Palmer
Notes: This my first time writing for Alden Parker so, hopefully it’s okay and you guys like it!
The familiar ding! of the elevator echos throughout the bullpen as you familiarise yourself with the case, trying to find a correlation amidst all the evidence. Perplexed by the witness’s statement, you decide to seek clarification from the senior field agent but with your attention firmly fixed on the file in your hands, you end up walking directly into Alden Parker, the newest addition to the team.
“I-I’m sorry, sir.”
“Don’t be,” he says with a kind-hearted smile. “Flores de hojaldre? It’s a Spanish specialty, translates to ‘flowers of puff pastry’.” He explains, offering you the box filled with the international pastries.
“Thank you, sir.” You accept his generous offer with a sweet smile before remembering your former boss, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and his intense dislike of the use of the word ‘sir’. “I mean, Parker… uh, Agent Parker.”
“You can call me ‘sir’, doesn’t bother me. In fact... I kinda like it.”
His green-tinted eyes, infused with warm golden hues, linger on yours as the ghost of a smirk begins to frame his handsome features, almost hidden beneath the darkened moustache. The intense gaze, along with his playful confession, prompts a subtle shade of vibrant crimson to colour your cheeks before watching him make his way towards Director Vance’s office. As he disappears up the flight of stairs, McGee and Torres turn their attention towards you as they share a knowing glance.
“What,” you ask.
“You've got a crush on the new guy,” teases Torres.
“Just like you did with Gibbs,” adds McGee.
“I... oh my god, is it that obvious?” They both nod, attempting to suppress their laughter.
“Didn’t know you had a type,” McGee continues. “Who’s next, Fornell?” His mischievous smirk grows wider as you hide your face behind your hands, a muffled groan falling from your lips.
“So,” probes Torres. “Why Parker?”
“I don’t know... I mean, he’s smart, he’s got a good sense of humour, he’s sweet...” you gesture to the pastry still in your hand. “Not to mention-”
“He’s old,” interrupts Torres.
“He’s not-”
“Who’s old?”
The familiar voice echoes from behind you as you turn your attention towards the man in question, “Uh, n-no one.” Glaring at the pair of agents, you take a bite of the pastry as Parker watches you, aware of the sudden tension.
“Okay,” he drags the word out awkwardly. “Back to the case... McGee, where are we on our missing naval officer?”
“I’ve put out a BOLO on his car, still waiting to get a hit.”
“Torres?”
“Forensics are running the trace evidence as we speak.”
“Okay, keep me posted. You,” the former FBI agent turns to you before beckoning you to follow him with his index finger. “You’re coming with me.”
“Where are we going?”
“To see Jimmy, hopefully he’s got some answers for us.”
-
Aware of the intimate proximity between Parker and yourself, you allow your attention to focus on the luminescent glow of the buttons as the soft hum of the elevator dominates the silence.
“So,” Parker turns to you with a soft smile. “You wanna tell me what that was all about?”
“Uh... no, sir?” After a moment, a quiet sigh falls from your lips. “How much of that conversation did you actually hear?”
“Not a whole lot but, uh...” the thought ruminating in his mind elicits a quiet chuckle. “This older gentleman, he must be a lucky man.” Something in his voice catches your attention as you slowly turn towards him, meeting his curious gaze.
“It’s you... Alden.” The sound of his name dripping from your lips like sweet honey catches him by surprise, more than the confession itself, as his charming smile grows wider.
“Didn’t know you were interested in older men... in me.” He says, taking a step towards you.
“Alden,” his gaze lingers on your lips for a brief moment as your tongue glides across the soft flesh before the doors of the elevator open, revealing a very excited Dr. Palmer.
“Agent Parker, Agent...” his voice trails off as he glances between the two of you. “I-I’m sorry, am I interrupting something?”
