maybe it's not that serious but i just think that buck wouldn't leave eddie alone in his home while chris is in texas, but i think he's also really looking forward to nurturing this thing he's got going on with tommy. buck decides the best way to hit both birds with one stone is to invite tommy to video game night at eddie's. maybe he doesn't notice that tommy's not really a video game guy because he's having too good a time with eddie and he doesn't notice that tommy's vacated the couch, and is scrolling his phone, trying not to be too obviously put out. tommy's not mad: eddie's going through a lot right now, so this--this is good. buck has a big heart and a lot of love, and he cares very deeply for the people in his life, and this is good. maybe next time they'll do something that everyone will enjoy! and maybe tommy still feels bad that buck missed that ringside mma match and has gotten them three tickets, and has invited both of them to vegas pt 2: electric boogaloo. tommy is glad that he's helping eddie get out of his head; this is what buck would want! keep eddie sane, be there for him, get him out of his head once in a while. surely buck is happy that they're having a great time bonding over people kicking each other's asses for sport, except when he looks to the side he notices buck's not enjoying this as much as he had thought he would. buck feels bad, is the thing. the punches sound really loud, and remind him again how this is fun? tommy says sorry you didn't like it that much. buck says, well, i thought it would be fun before i tried it, that's not your fault. and anyway, i can think of other things we can do that i know we'll like. maybe eddie has to sit in the back of the chopper and not feel left out on the flight home, or try not to react when tommy and buck are clearly having a conversation in a separate line he's not a part of. maybe he has to be cool with it when buck and tommy make dinner together at eddie's, hip bumping and talking low and stealing bites off of the pan before they're even done. i don't know!!! maybe they can't tell if they wish they had jessie's girl, so to speak—or that they were her :3

i dont know about you guys but my mental health would greatly benefit from a jessie's girl montage in season 8 between eddie, buck, and tommy, and none of us know who jessie is
