tidepools beach trip means nearly dying boogie boarding and going down to the tidepools my partner taught me to boogie board when we were little and drags me out to the water each time we go to the coast I nearly drown each time cause I'll be doing GREAT then one wrong kick as I'm laughing at my partner for missing a wave and I'm tumbling just gone under the surf and I drag myself and my partner out of the water to dry land then out the the tidepools and swear off boogie boarding ever again knowing I'll let them talk me into “just 1 wave” that will turn into being out in the water till our skin is raw from the salt because I am weak & I swear he's a selkie how comfortable he is in the water &how happy the coast makes him I can't say no to that happiness not when his smile takes my breath away and makes my heart stop and his eyes match the sky reflected on the water in the horizon I would drown in a thousand oceans to share the tides with him so i guess my main beach activity is being stupid for my basically a sea creature partner 🙃
