They Them - Tumblr Posts - Page 2
NO SERIOUSLY everyone in my class knows I’m non-binary but SO OFTEN I’m still referred to as “she.” They just don’t think about it. They look at me and just see the boobs.
My mom, too! She’s supportive and loves me and is trying very hard to use my new name and pronouns, but when I came out she told me it’ll be hard because she’s “always seen [me] as very feminine.” I LITERALLY CUT MY OWN HAIR INTO A KEANU REEVES CUT? I WEAR HAWAIIAN SHIRTS OR SUSPENDERS OR BAGGY-ASS CARGO PANTS AND FUNNY SHIRTS. IM NOT A GIRL, IM NOT A WOMAN. I JUST HAVE BREASTS. THEY’RE NOT EVEN BIG. THEYRE SO SMALL. I WEAR MORE CHILDREN’S CLOTHES THAN WOMEN’S CLOTHES AND YET.
Ha. Sorry. Bit of a rant there. But really!
And when someone is trying, it doesn’t matter how hard it is or how much they understand it or if they’re used to it. My teacher mentions often (it becomes relevant) how society has recently popularized the tearing apart of gender roles, how we’ve created a space outside of the binary gender boxes, and how he and others in his generation don’t fully understand it or its implications, but that man has never gotten my pronouns wrong once. ONCE. And he called me “buddy” and I like it.
Step back and take another look at people. See beyond their bodies. I am more like mothman than I am like a woman. Get to know me, you’ll see.
are they really “fem presenting” or do they just have boobs. are they really “masc presenting” or do they just have facial hair

“What is non-binary?”
Non-binary is a gender identity where a person’s gender isn’t within the gender binary (girl or boy), and they feel as though it’s something completely different or nonexistent. These people use terms such as “agender” or “gendeless” to define themselves, and oftentimes use pronouns like they/them/their/themself (To be used like, “I think they look nice. Their hair is pretty.”)
Due to their gender identity not matching with the sex they were assigned at birth, these people are also oftentimes considered to be transgender.

It’s Transgender Awareness Week and I decided to draw a picture of my best friend. Last year, they committed suicide at the age of sixteen due to the discrimination and trauma they experienced growing up, and I feel as if it’s my duty to spread awareness and help make this world a better place so people like them won’t have to feel as though suicide is their only option.
They helped me through so much throughout the years. They were a big inspiration for me and has helped me through a lot of my own battles in regards to insecurity and gender expression. As such, I want to be there to help other people the same ways they did in their memory.
All I ask is that you share this post or posts like this one and be respectful and kind to other people.
Thank you for reading. 🫶🏳️🌈

I've got that he/him they/them pussy
VALID AF AND DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE!!!
Trans women with pronouns that AREN’T she/her? Beautiful!
Trans men with pronouns that AREN’T he/him? Gorgeous!
Nonbinary/GNC/Agender people with pronouns that AREN’T they/them? Lovely!
Pronouns DON’T equal gender! So no matter your pronouns and no matter your gender, VALID.
I swear to god, y’all really need to learn that you can be upset that your identity isn’t being represented in something, without tearing down the identities that are being represented in something.
Sapphics don’t have “too much representation in modern cartoons” just because there isn’t as much MLM content in cartoons. AFAB enbies don’t have “too much representation” just because there isn’t as much for AMAB enbies. Binary trans people don’t have “too much representation” just because there isn’t as much for nonbinary people. Gay men don’t have “too much representation” in ANY way, shape, or form, considering how much of it is still blatantly homophobic.
It’s almost like we should be directing our anger at the system instead of our fellow marginalized comrades.
