Quick Update

Alright, it's been a bit since I have posted, so I wanted to write a quick update.

1. Happy Pride Month!

2. I am working on a post about a possible Pride-themed character challenge that will be out soon.

3. I am almost done with school, meaning, posts will hopefully become more regular.

4. The Overwatch Devs announced on Twitter that the Funky Baptiste immortality field will be updated to look like a disco ball, so I hope you all got the skin!

5. Also, I have fallen into the rabbit hole that is the Dream SMP and my favorite characters are the Syndicate. You can not change my mind.

After Eret's lore stream, there is something that caught my attention. Apparently Foolish and Eret fought a Wither Cult. Now this reminds me to certain syndicate (I'm not saying that the syndicate is a cult, i'm just saying that the name "Wither Cult" gives me syndicate vibes). Is history repeating itself? Foolish and Eret vs The Syndicate foreshadowing?

i don’t actually think c!niki breaking c!dream out of the prison is bad character development. she’s part of the syndicate, and has been canonically leaning more into the anarchist ideology, which is inherently against prisons. it doesn’t matter whether or not it’s dream they’re breaking out, the syndicate has to be against imprisonment. whatever happens to dream after his escape is another matter, but to subject anyone to the system of containment is against their principles

that being said, she is well within her rights to do whatever she wants to that fucker once they’re out.

The slow development of c!Ranboo and c!Technoblade’s dynamic over time and just how organic and subtly it develops just absolutely kills me. I am in shambles every time I think about it. and I think about it A Lot. And I have thought about it a lot since it began. I apologize for how long this is. I put it under a break but holy shit I needed to get this rambling where I recap all of techno and Ranboo’s development and interactions between them with some of my thoughts and interpretations in order to get it out of my system.

tl;dr I froth at the mouth whenever I think about all the steps of their relationship development phases from first meeting to doomsday. then doomsday to the first syndicate meeting. UPDATE: and from the first syndicate meeting to the prison breakout

/dsmp /rp I personally think the Syndicate was just a right arc, wrong time. If Techno formed the syndicate during the exile arc with the same people it would've been so much better. Him and Phil would have to be sneaking around Tommy as he was staying with Techno temporarily, Ranboo could join just after Doomsday and instead of Niki just kinda standing at the side her villian arc could of began with her helping doomsday and joining after finding out what the Butcher army did. Dream could've been a temporary member until her got arrested and it would make Tommy's decision to turn on them a little more reasonable as the lie could've been the syndicate.

It would also make Niki deciding to hate Tommy all that much more reasonable. From her perspective it could've been Techno had given Tommy a roof over his head and support when he needed it most and he rejected it and betrayed techno meanwhile Wilbur never did that to her.

Idk I think it would've worked better earlier but the whole thing about the dsmp is that they write it as they go so Techno probably expected a government to be formed by one of the former L'manburg members like Tommy but it never happened lmao.

I'm gonna say it: the Syndicate is the most disappointing arc to come out of season 3.

I will write a whole-ass post on why if y'alls want me to, but I rlly don't think I have to explain.

Techno getting annoyed with Tommy's rambunctiousness and big talk, so he decides to take him up on his fighting words and start an impromptu sparring session in order to tire Tommy out.

Pros: Success! Tommy is quiet now! Techno can go back to reading.

Cons: Tommy falls asleep in his lap and he can't move.

Pros: Tommy makes for a good arm rest. Perfect height to rest his book, actually.

Cons: Tommy has started snoring and since Techno is cozy, pig instincts have mistaken it for purring and elected to join in.

Cons: The Syndicate has showed up and they are teasing him. BAD. VERY BAD. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE IDEA.

Pros: Since they aren't trapped under a sleeping Tommy (impossible to move, trapped forever and ever), he can force his friends to get him stuff. Philza brings tea and Niki grabs some pastries she was making.

Pros: Magnolia tea helps people fall asleep, and now there is a cuddly nap pile.

Cons: Techno doesn't finish his book.

Pros: zzzzzzz
