Slight flash warning
I was just thinking about dr. Futterman's line about how phyllis could have became a nurse or a wife. If she did the things she did as a child entertainer she had to always be fucked in the head so I doubt that would have changed much. Might have made her actions a little easier to do.
If she became a nurse she could just do something to keep the kids sick and when she would be happy with the number of kids, she could give them the drugs. Spin some lie that they should kill their parents cause they're the one keeping them sick. Maybe start some group home in the hospital basement so she'd have them in one place. And the basement would be the traumatizing crime scene and then she would be admitted to the hospital psych ward. And yk murkoff would scoop her up ect.
If she became a wife she would just give birth to her little army which might have opened the door to her own biological kids being in the game as small assets. Keeping her own kids under her control wouldn't be that hard neither would getting them hooked on drugs. She'd probably have them murder their own father for various reasons. Her house would be the crime scene. Maybe she'd even have her kids friends brought in to it and have them kill their parents. And yk the rest.

I can't be the only one that sees a female character that's been in a weird situation for all or a majority of their life and wonder how their periods are dealt with, right? I know people don't like to talk about menstruation or if they do its making jokes but I really wonder how phyllis and marta dealt with their periods.
I could imagine murkoff giving gooseberry a hysterectomy ngl. It would make things easier. Not having to deal with that, since menstruation does have effect on emotion. I wouldn't wanna deal with an horny-er gooseberry once a month for a week (I would but yk what I mean). We all know once the cramps aren't that bad anymore that we start going into "heat". She's already known to have seduced several people so I wouldn't be surprised if murkoff nipped that in the butt real quick. I'm not completely sure if they would give her anything when she did get it though. I feel like it would be the same as prison.
I feel real sorry for marta. She's under the control of a sexist pig and I don't think her being one his favorite changes her treatment during her monthly. Poor baby was probably told to power through it in the name of God and that it would make her a stronger warrior. Since knoth only got medical supplies for himself I doubt any woman at temple gate got sanitary products. As far as we know marta's days consists of her walking around temple gate to insure all the heretics are slain. Poor girl probably had to not only free bleed but also not get to at least relax during the cramps. Someone get her a heating pad, pads and some painkillers for the love of God.
There are so many sad factors about being a woman in horror. Menstruation is only one of them.
Outlast ramble
Gooseberry is my biggest comfort character right now. I desperately need a hug from her. I just know she would be a good hugger. I need to be cradling in her arms while futterman is covered with a blanket or something. I'd definitely be a futtermanic in the outlast universe. Don't put me in the trials bro, I'd die immediately trying to cling to her and shi. I hate this universe. I need to go to the trials. I need gooseberry to kill me. I want her to be the cause of my death. I won't die happy if she ain't.

Spoilers for outlast trials incase you haven't found that Easter egg.
Papa knoth was reagent 1616 and was part of the first experiment of the trials along with gooseberry who I'm not sure has a reagent number. They were reagents together and that fucks with my brain when I think about it.
Like wdym the girlies knew eachother? >_< Do you think they got a long in any way? I like to think they did cause of the parallel of both of them being described as charismatic despite their looks. I'm not 100% sure if they would have ever done it though.
They'd definitely try to flirt with the other. Gooseberry wanting to just get after not having for a while but knoth's dumbass doesn't pick up on her flirting. Partially because she'd probably have some weird as style. Knoth would maybe try, he's alway been a horny freak but considering gooseberry's looks I'm not sure if he would want to "go that low" to just get his dick wet. He'd try but gooseberry would look at him weird since he didn't respond to her earlier flirting but was now trying to get with her.
I do like to imagine them being besties but in a "the two worst people you know are now friends" type way. They'd be assholes to other reagents and get them purposely hurt so they would get the best grades out of the others. They'd lead whatever things would chase people before the prime assets to the important spots of the trials just to troll.
After murkoff decided to take another approach at the trials , keeping gooseberry but rebirthing knoth. She'd be really sad and lonely, futterman being of no help whatsoever. Knoth wouldn't have any memories of her since from what we see in his reagent files, he's struggling with memory.
But he would have a gut feeling of sorts that he's missing some other half of him. He could barely make out a silhouette of a woman but couldn't remember who it was. It leads to some of his obsession with women, a small part since the big part is his lust. He knows she's out there and sometimes he begs God to show him were but since his God is actually just murkoff he doesn't get an answer.
It's kinda why gooseberry looks directly at the reagents face while killing them. She wants to know if its knoth. She can remember him clearly (you don't really forget a piece of work like that). She misses him deeply and wants her friend that made her happy back. It's also why she seems a bit uncomfortable during prime time. It's new men but they're not like knoth. They're sexual like him but there's other parts they're lacking so it's not the same.
Anyway, that's all I wanted to say and it would be cool to get cannon info on their relationship. I also wouldn't mind some fan art of their tomfoolery.
