Something like this is not uncommon among teachers. If you or a kiddo you're taking care of are struggling, it's alright to email their teachers (especially in high school) to ask that they are given an easier time. There definitely are teachers that will be more stubborn (usually the money focused ones), but you'd be surprised how important mental health is to many teachers.

the other has created one of the best environments for learning and long-term growth
