Hello Tumblr, I come in peace with a 'Puss in Boots: The Last Wish' fan fiction! It takes place post-movie, so beware of spoilers.

There are four published chapters on AO3 so far, and I will be raising the chapter count from seven to eight. Updates are either weekly or biweekly.

Sadly, I won't be able to update this weekend. But in the meantime, I will be posting some fanart for the fic on this blog. I hope you like them!

The Ethical Bug is clutching his chest with both hands, looking at Death the Wolf with bulging eyes and screaming: "You gave me a heart attack!" The Wolf snickers and answers: "I get that a lot." (The Wolf's right arm and sickle are partly turned to gold. The golden sickle has eight crossed-out cat faces engraved on the blade.)

In the front, we see the back of Death the Wolf's hand starting to turn to gold, along with the sickle he is holding (the one with eight crossed-out cat heads engraved on it). There is a vein popping on the back of his hand, and another in his speech bubble. Jack Horner's soul is vanishing around the sickle: the man is wearing a disgruntled expression and asking: "Did you seriously carve crossed out kitty faces on your weapon?!!"

The Ethical Bug sleeping on one of the governor's discarded wigs, snoring softly. The cricket is sleeping on his back with one arm over a strand of hair from the wig, which he uses as a blanket. His other arm is raised behind him with fingers half open. Along with his usual attire - sans shoes - he is wearing two pairs of socks: one striped, the other in star patterns. His four shoes are neatly arranged next to the wig.

Perrito the little chihuahua is taking a bath inside a wooden basin. He has both front paws on the rim and is smiling widely at the viewer, with his jaw hanging open and tongue lolling out of his mouth next to his protruding lower canine. Fanart for my fic!!! *O*

This style is very cool, the lightning and shading turned out great, I love the color palette you used, it really feels like the gold is covering everything! I also like the symbolism of a sea of gold rising at Death's feet. And his expression! Poor overworked wolf, this curse isn't making his job any easier, but those souls aren't going to reap themselves.

Death looks so done with the Bug, I love it. XD If I am to be remembered as "that fanfiction writer who got people invested in the Death & Ethical Bug duo from Puss in Boots 2: The Last Wish," I will gladly accept this legacy. These two have so much potential for hilarious shenanigans!
